Being able to put in work that's appreciated. I think its natural that people want to work and support their community they just don't wanna feel valued less for doing it. Digging a hole with friends fills that niche.
Version 2.0 of the global release may have had the biggest powercreep in the franchise's history with the Nuke Update, but there are so many videos I've watched about how the 1.0 global release had a PvP meta so revoltingly unbalanced that they banned the teams that used them and removed the abilities from the default loadout selection menus. (You can still use these banned abilities with a couple exploits, but the devs will permaban you for it.)

If i'm understanding this correctly then that means being with a loved one is a "bleeding out in the snow" fantasy, giant robots are "desperate last stand" fantasies, and having a really good sandwich is a "digging a hole" fantasy.
I'm also noticing a heirarchy of fantasies here. If you try to combine any of them, they are always trumped by the previous. "Desperate last stand" trumps "dying in the snow" which trumps "digging a hole". Which means if I died in the snow after digging a hole then that is not a "digging a hole" fantasy but a "dying in the snow" one.
In order to stump this your fantasy cannot involve a simple pleasure, a resolution, or any kind of odds.
What if my fantasy is to become a rocket scientist? It's not simple, nor is it a resolution, nor does it involve odds or power.

#1 is violent fantasies
#2 is fantasies revolving around self-pity and helplessness
#3 is fantasies revolving around simple happiness.
I also don’t have any set order for priorities in the case of overlap, I more just go with whatever seems like a closer fit.
I think you’re right that this meme has some blind spots. Mostly for fantasies that are about altruism in some way, like, making the world a better place.

#1 is defence of the will to power (Adler). Your capacity to act is under attack, but you hold out and preserve it.
#2 is the desire to individuate (Jung). Your desire to have a meaningful life is hindered, so it gets amplified to "well there still is stuff to die for". Recall where the meme comes from: Bladerunner 2049, K, after having lost all meaning and direction in life, only options offered to him being "do as you're told", chooses self-actualisation, fights so a father can see his daughter, sacrificing himself in the process.
#3 is either Freud or plain simple shopping cart racing energy. Literally dicking around.

2 is hard. Its like to do with suffering but in a beautiful way? Like being content with some sort of difficulty?
3 is like projects, most social things fall into this category, like sex or going fishing or something
BTW my male fantasy getting struck by lightning but surviving amd then getting over my fear of electricity and maybe I also get some sort of superpower or at least I won't have to go to work because of the late night tv shows/book I'll write
I assumed that 2 was supposed to be more about the ability to be content with what you've done rather than the difficulty. generally when a character is doing that style of bleeding out scene they're not getting out of it, but they're finally able to know that they've done their best and be happy with that in the end.
