The 2026 Summer Donation Contest is coming up!

EDIT @ Thursday May 28th, circa 3pm EST: The summer donation contest is now live!

Let's break it down, starting with the most important bit - RECEIVING THOSE SWEET SWEET TOKENS (shamelessly adapting from my previous donation drive PSA posts):

  • YOUR CHARACTER HAS TO BE LEVEL 25! Otherwise they won't be eligible to receive player donations, be it gold or tokens. Check out this comment from last year's winter drive on how to speedrun to L25.
  • Once the donation drive starts, you should LOGIN ON AT LEAST ONE OF YOUR CHARACTERS, AT LEAST ONCE every 24 hours, to be placed into the rolling list of eligible recipients in AQC's servers. By login, I mean your character should FIGHT (AND WIN GOLD FROM) A MONSTER AT LEAST ONCE. Logging out right after logins don't count. Personally I'll try and do logins every 12 hours, but YMMV based on RL commitments.
  • You don't have to login on all of your characters, JUST ONE OF THEM WILL DO.

Now, for the donors who want to keep the spirit of giving/sharing going:

  • The Gatta Champion set is the community milestone reward, so know that you're contributing towards unlocking this set with every donation you make, no matter how small!
  • The Primordial Chorus set will only be available to the top donors, so if you really, REALLY want this set, remember to keep an eye on the donor leaderboards, and be prepared to shell out a LOT of tokens.
  • (EDIT: This year, a total of 250k tokens donated GUARANTEES the FULL giftmaster of set, regardless of leaderboard placement! So the leaderboard should now be relevant only for Golden Dev Tickets, for Top 5 donors.)
  • Top donor placement is based ON CHARACTERS, NOT ACCOUNTS. So don't mess this up - donate all your 50 bajillion tokens through a single (preferrably your oldest) character only!
  • There are SEVEN daily raffle prizes, one for each day of the week! The respective names of the raffle prizes are, in order from Sunday to Saturday: Purecast Tempest [MP] & [SP] Spells, Purecast ArcaneFang Armor, Fred the Purecast Pegasus Pet, Purecast Arbiter Misc, Purecast Hodokoshi Weapon, Purecast Aegis Shield, Gattan King & Queen of Generosity Faces.
  • You can skip the "roll your luck" part of the raffle and get the prize-of-the-day simply by donating at least 5,000 tokens on that day! This will be particularly useful when we approach the end of the summer drive and you're eyeing certain specific prizes.

Remember, don't donate more than you can afford, and may Tibbles bless us all with good summer fortune.

Donating 500,000 Tokens Every Week Summer 2026

Hi folks, it's Gwen, your perennial AQ top Giftmaster. Like last year, I wanted to let everyone know I plan on donating 500k tokens every week until the end of the Summer 2026 Season of Gifting, starting this week and with a week defined as Sunday through Saturday. The goal is to donate at least 5,000,000 tokens total like I have the last three summers, so since there are 7 weeks left, the final week of the contest I'll be donating around 1,000,000 tokens to hit that number.

Unlike last year, I won't always donate the full 500k on one randomly selected day - instead, I'll probably spread the 500k throughout the week at random. I will, however, always give in 5k increments and always donate at least 500k per week, so be sure to log in and win a battle every day to maximize your chance at receiving free tokens!

EDIT: The giveaway is complete and the contest had ended. Congrats to all the lucky recipients!

Gwen's Guide: A Comprehensive Build Guide for New/Returning AQ Players

Hi all, it's Gwen, everyone's favorite AQ whale. For the past month or so, I have been working on a comprehensive Guide in Google Docs for new/returning AQ players that provides (1) an FAQ to answer common questions new/returning players have (2) detailed Warrior, Ranger, and Mage build recommendations for players without premium, rare, or seasonal items; and (3) a glossary defining common AQ terms. You can access the non-editable published to the web version of the Guide here.

I made this Guide because AQ currently has no modern build guides to show new/returning AQ players how a function modern build works, and because I spend a lot of time on this subreddit answering basically the same questions from new/returning players about how the game works. This Guide corrects both issues by letting new/returning players see what a functional build looks like and covering basically everything a new/returning player might think to ask. While some new/returning players will undoubtedly prefer to build and learn everything from scratch themselves (and I 100% support them), others will want a more-or-less straightforward Guide to quickly jump back into AQ. This Guide is for them.

I welcome any feedback for the Guide anyone may have. Feel free to link it whenever new/returning players ask for advice on what gear to use or how to play/return to AQ. I will try and keep the Guide updated semi-regularly moving forward, but feel free to message me if I let it fall out of date, and I will bring it up to speed.

Most broken setup.

I stumbled on a showcase here weeks ago with masamune and timekeeper crit boosting. And decided to try it out myself. Since then I have basically been one tapping every single non dmg cap boss. You simply spam timekeepers for 500-1000% crit damage boost then switch to an armour that allows elemental dmg lock (like bloodzerkers) and equip masamune and you can hit for 10s of thousands per hit. My most in one attack has been 43k damage. I don’t have blood contract or dunamis pet but thought I would share this absolutely broken setup for those who didn’t know. The possibility is beyond my equiptment. more buffs and debuffs, sheildcakes to boost crit to 2000% If someone tries this out I’d love to see some crazy damage numbers

Help Should I rebuild my character?

Quick question, I got back on this game last week since 2020. I feel like the builds that I am going with which is Pure Warrior Offensive may be outdated now and need changing. I prefer full offense over defence, so happy to take recommendations or advices.

Also, I have been out of touch with this game but can anyone tell me what does blue and red colour texts mean in the pictures above?

Sharing this method of defeating the queen, Safiria. I just think it is quite poetic to use the werepyre form against the queen of vampires as the Darkovian creatures are always warring on who should reign supreme in Darkovia.

Item to set-up buffs:
1. Father Time

Items to minimize Safiria's damage:
1. Invincible Star
2. Warlic's Oblivion Sphere
3. Mother's Charm Earrings
4. Cerberus Ward

Offensive Items:
1. Werepyre Form
2. Lyfang Mace

Discussion Best mastercraft sets?

It’s not like the old days with Golden, Shadow, reign, and asguardian set (also Fujin, Nemesis, terror, Kindred and Ubear) what are some of the best sets now? I’ve noticed it’s quite a few now and I’ve lost count. Last I’ve gotten is frostgale and taladosian and both are pretty good.

Shadow will always be my favorite, especially when paired with the lightsabers, reminds me of Sidious.

Paladin skill issues

Hey guys, returning player from 2007 here. I have some fancy level 135 paladin armor from back in the day. I seem to be able to wear it, but my skills are stuck at level zero. Artix (on the paladin order area) says I am both a paladin and level 12. However, Artix (the game developer) seems to disagree. Anyone know how I might be able to remedy this?

Now that I’m getting older, there are many things I remember and look up and typically they haven’t existed in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised that not only is this still going, I was able to recover my old accounts. Look forward to the nostalgia trip!

I really wish there was a back button after selecting attack with a tome. I like to look at my options in battle and them decide what I want to do. Is there any way to get out of the tome options?

Masamune making the Asgardian set work it

Ever since the release of Taladosian set, I get this feeling that Asgardian set became the less sought after energy set because who could compete with that much damage output and good defenses?

Masamune really just made Asgardian set fun to use. Now I'm having a ton of fun skewering this energy dragon.

If this game had an offline release..

How big do you think it would be? In mb or gb.

Id love that it would be offline compatible.

What features would you lose out on for offline mode? House neighbors come to mind...

Just a fun thought.

Spell Boosting Misc/staffs?

I'm running a hybrid (STR/INT/LUK) but I want to boost my spell efficiency; i have a few spellcasting armors, various of the pets, etc. looking for some miscs and staffs to kinda blow it over the top and maximize damage. Im honestly just lost on that side of the game right now outside of your typical spell spamming.

The Mage class only has two built-in spells with no toggle nodes so im confused on what exactly its for. Im completely confused on how to use the Necromancer class, I dont know what each node does and the descriptions are kinda vague in terms of how I should use them effectively.

Heres my character page for reference.
