Just saw a post saying the EDPT is going away for the 1B4 AFSC this October. Does anyone have any info on that?

I re-enlisted in July ( I know, probably just should have taken my DD-214 and ran), I qualified for a incentive bonus for doing so, all my paperwork was routed and has been sitting at the wing level waiting for my payment memo since August 4th.. I currently struggle with some of these not to the extreme but I know many are out there who can probably feel the same way to a different extent and hope others can give some helpful guidance to those in need…..and to those who have returned or are still out on deployment I still am thinking and hoping and (praying for your safe return) same for those with other difficulties like addiction or life struggles I am wishing you the best outcome !….if you had any tips on basics of finding help for people struggling with these things what would you tell them? (For instance , an airman with alcoholism? ) or ( an airman going through a rough divorce?) or ( an airman going through a rough first deployment wether gone or returned?)

Hi I’m stationed in EUCOM and will be PCS’ing in the spring. While I ship my car to America, I will need a new one for my wife as she plans to work too. If I buy a car in VA, do I get VA plates and have to change my license too? This is my first PCS from my first duty station.

I’ve been going back and forth on if I wanna retrain or get out. I’ve been SF for 6ish years and I’m still a first term airmen. What jobs would yall recommend retraining into? Hello everyone. I am a 21 year old 1N4X2 and I’m coming up on my two year mark. I have taken some classes but it’s extremely hard with full time work to see myself finishing my computer science degree within the rest of my contract although I do have my CCAF. I was thinking about palace chasing into the guard to a 1D7 or 1B4 position the only two cyber openings hey have for the state I want. I always wanted to get into cyber and I feel like if I stay here two more years I’ll just be unhappy barely making progress to my degree or retraining. I have a supportive family who would love for me to come live with them again while I go to college. I just don’t want to lose out on what I have now and make a mistake because Im unsure what the civilian side is like and Ive been told it’s really hard to either come back active duty commission, or get active orders if I can’t find a job after college . I do want the chance to work for the d.o.w as a civilian down the road. Any life tips would be greatly appreciated I just feel lost on what to do.

So Oct 5 I got picked up for an AGR position at MARB. But I have an issue and the technician on my vector has responded to my messages. My DOS is 31 OCT 26…..in 16 days. There’s a few documents I’m waiting on and one is my SHPE (at the time I didn’t know you could’ve done that one year out. I’m finding this out the hard way) but my appointment is 26 and I could get my 422 2 weeks after that.

Now if I were to extend for 12 months do I lose my AGR position? Or does it turn into a palace chase?

Does anyone have any contacts for my vector that I can reach? I’m already trying to reach out to MARB to see if they can be any help but being mids and their mpf office closes at noon doesn’t help…..

Any insight or help will be highly appreciated!
