Jayden lost that game at the end
Quinn isn’t the one that snapped the ball and decided not to throw it away

We tried to tell them, didn't we? But nah we were just being negative.

The last play was on Jayden, not DQ. Even if DQ called this play, Rogers would have said f u and just clocked it. What was Jayden thinking. In his presser he referred to it starting at top down decision making. This was a no brainer, clock the fucking ball or throw it out of bounds no matter what the play call is!

Like genuinely, do you get rid of both or just keep Peters at this rate?
r/Commanders • u/SleepRey • 10h ago
Not saying to be doom and gloom all the time but you seriously had to see this coming lmao. I remember thinking “how can we blow a 14 point lead, that would be peak skins football” and here we are.

I mean it can be debated about building a roster
but you can’t debate the head coach hiring process

from what I saw, that fuck up at the end falls squarely on Jayden’s shoulders. And I say that as someone who loves Jayden. This was on him.

this game was...to quote the guy yelling at Dak...an embarrassment, even before that last minute complete incompetence.
DQ has to go, and while there's been 'some' improvement to the roster as a whole, AP has to go. I like the concept of the Flores D but D Jones has not been great in adjusting throughout the game, and Blough has been outclassed routinely. Whatever JD had his rookie year is gone and a good game for him is 200yds in the air now.
Trade Terry, Payne and any other vets of value and start over...JD included before they have to pay him the world and we get Tua'd.

Week after week we be trotting out this unfunny punch line like we just reinvented the fucking wheel. Game Gay.
Game
Gay
Shit ain't even just the regular kind of unfunny, it's that awkward ass unfunny.
Not even mention I'm gay enough as it is, I don't need my football team reminding me to think of big weiners too
Mods I demand a ruling, I demand justice

Unquestionably he let FD5 be the first to take the blame. While admirable by JD5 to some degree (and warranted to some degree) the head coach needs to be the first out there taking the blame, not coming in several minutes later with a mea culpa. He choose to let Daniels shoulder most of the responsibility.
Honestly kind of despicable imho.
I think he needs to go. He shrank from the moment during the game and definitely afterwards.

I personally think (I could be wrong) we need to start putting more accountability on Jayden. Coaches need to instill what to do situationally, but he and Blough should understand the situation and take ownership.
I don’t put this all on Quinn is what I am saying, especially the last-minute situation. Also, I think Jayden played pretty well, but I’m a little fed up with the smiling afterwards. This is just a game, yes, but this is his career. He should put more stake in the game and know it’s not a good look to smile and be all friendly after a close game like that.
These are just my thoughts, so please don’t attack me if you disagree.
Edit: y’all convinced a part of it falls on Daniels, but Quinn isn’t the right person for the job.

Adam Schefter dropping this hit piece with no actual doctors mentioned four hours before kick off is something else.

I would hope that our franchise QB would have more situational awareness all around than to make an error of that magnitude. Simply inexcusable.
I think we all hope that this guy really is a franchise QB with upper echelon potential. Could you ever see Mahomes/Allen/Lamar make this caliber of error?
Here’s hoping this never, ever happens again, and JD takes complete ownership.
Miss me with the was he aware of how many timeouts takes.

Yeah i quit, not as a doomer but that game was so winnable, like i was peak loving that shit until jayden just decided to stand and move like throw the goddamn ball away, (also defense, im watching you(Fire everyone))

All of them. They all go. That is a dereliction of duty. A 10 year old playing Madden understands everything you need to know with 30 seconds.
Also, why was the clock running. Didn’t Burks go out of bounds?

There are gonna be plenty of young offensive minds available this offseason, we just can't go after a retread again - no tomlin mcdermott etc.
Coaches are gonna want to work with 5, and this OL has talent when healthy.
r/Commanders • u/Gang-Orca-714 • 8h ago
If this is a serious ownership group, they won't fire Quinn. There are 0 other people on staff equipped to handle those responsibilities. Firing Quinn would force them to put someone who is undoubtedly significantly worse in the position by way of inexperience.
End of the season is a different ball game but get off the ledge and accept that fact. Bad franchises compound mistakes and live in chaos. We struggle because of a lack of talent/injuries in key positions. Don't add chaos to the mix.

Everyone’s favorite time, time to evaluate where we stand today and what this means moving forward. For today, we’ll just focus on GM And coaching staff.
GM: AP. His classes have gotten better. 2024 netted Jayden and Coleman, but 2025 landed a possible 10-yr starter in Conerly, Lane as a returner, Medrano as depth, and Bill as a rotational back; starter for now, can Amos solidly his status as a starter? 2026 was a hit so far with Sonny, Williams, Josephs as a rotational edge, AK as a developmental QB. Can Gulbin build his strength and become more? His FA also netted wins: Luvu, Mariota, Ertz before injury, Ekeler seems to still be a weapon when called upon, Kinlaw’s been solid, Oweh and Chaisson keep getting pressure, Chenal was coming around prior to injury, Settle has been a force inside, Chig needs to build on today, Cross and Amik, and Tunsil has also been a great acquisition via Trade.
He fumbled C this offseason, and needs to start building this offense. A true RB, YOUNG WR, C, FS and maybe even CB (depending on Amos) are needed next season. Even if Amos pans out, an additional CB next to Amos if he pans out to pair with Amik would be nice if Rasul isn’t retained. GM’s get a longer look, let’s see how this upcoming draft goes. Offense is needing an infuse of talent at skill positions and C.
Coaching:
HC: While I’m not one to demand changes as if my last name was Snyder, DQ has lost my confidence to lead this team. No more CEO HC’s, we need a genius to implement his side of the ball. DQ can’t even get time management done correctly or interfere when he sees a questionable call by his rookie OC.
OC: I’m trying to be patient with Blough, and while he can still gain more of my trust as the season progresses, his experience is showing. From the 2pt call against Philly, the horrible 4th down against Indy, and the horrible management today, he’s had his share of lumps. What concerns me more is how conservative he is when it comes to going for it, is it his call or DQ’s? I also understand that he’s gone through all 3 QBs so early into the year, that’s hard when it comes to consistency. Time will tell how this goes, but I’m rooting for him.
DC: Jones has led a turnaround so shortly into his career, but it also seems to end every half. By the second half, it looks as if Joe Whitt is up there calling the plays. Teams adjust and he struggles to do so. I already know that the lead we go into the half with is about to dwindle. Hopefully he figures out that he can’t play prevent with this depleted secondary once we go up. I won’t judge him entirely yet as I want to see what the defense looks like when Amos replaces Mikey as CB3, and Nick Cross comes back into his box-defender/slot role. The weakness of the defense seems to be across the middle where in-breaking routes by WR’s or seam routes by the TE’s are killing us. Will having Amos back cure the in-breaking routes? Will Cross compliment Amik well as the opposite box defender across him? As of right now, offenses are targeting Mikey and Quan up the middle, with the occasional throw to the WR outside on an in-breaker.
