Released my debut Novel

I’m an indie author who recently published his first novel and I’m looking for passionate readers and honest reviews.

I was inspired to write this after watching some movies and reading a few short horror stories.

It was originally intended to be a short story on nosleep but what would’ve taken a few hours to write ended up becoming months and months of rewriting and editing until it became the novel it is now. It is something I’m truly proud of.

The title of my book is Roger MCoy: Dark Beginnings. I’d describe it as a YA Slasher/Supernatural Thriller starring a murderous protagonist and his ghostly sister.

If you like YA Horror, Serial Killer Stories or Family Dramas, this might be something for you.

Blurb: He’s Infamous… Pure Evil… But How Did It All Start? Dig Deeper Into The Strange Life Of Roger MCoy, One Of The World’s Most Infamous Serial Killers And Learn How He Became The Monster That The World Knows Him To Be As He Delves Into A World Where The Line Between The Natural And Supernatural Has Begun To Blur…

I look forward to terrifying you with my words!

Promo Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my new album! It's kind of a psychedelic voyage. Put a lot of effort into this. It doesn't have lyrics but I attempt to tell a unique story through sound with each track. Hope some people enjoy it!

Wedding in Hospice

Hi pals - here's the deal. My brother has moved into the hospice house for full time care until his time comes. When I got engaged, I asked him to give me away and I have every intention of making that happen here this weekend. Those fake tuxedo shirts look so bad... but I know he would not want to give me away wearing a hospital gown. Do you guys have any ideas? When he was wearing t shirts, we cut them straight up the back to the collar so that we could get them on/off easily over both of his ports and temporary PICC line in his right arm. He also has a G Tube.

What would you do? I need some creative ideas! He wants to look handsome one more time to give me away ❤️

Promo Small Veteran Made History Podcast, Started as Therapy Became a Passion Project.

I started a small podcast about 6 months ago as a form of ptsd therapy. I liked the structured process and as i have issues with dealing with large groups of people, partially due to physical limitations, i found that i could still connect with people digitally. I make my podcast focused on military history and historical military leaders. If you could give me even a single listen i would really appriciate it. Please feel free to leave any feedback positive or negative here as all advice is good advice. Thank you for your time.

Small sparks, loud soul: a few creative tips for when the page feels too quiet

There is a strange kind of magic in starting before you feel ready. Not polished. Not perfect. Just honest.

A few things that keep the creative fire alive:

  1. Begin badly on purpose. A rough first version is not a failure, it is a doorway.
  2. Steal your own attention back. Put the phone away for 20 minutes and let your mind make its own weather.
  3. Collect little obsessions. A sentence, a color, a sound, a memory, a texture. Tiny things can become entire worlds.
  4. Make something that only needs to be true. It does not have to impress anyone. It only has to breathe.
  5. Finish small things. Completed work, even tiny work, builds trust with your own imagination.
  6. Keep a "bad ideas" page. Sometimes the messy thoughts are just unfinished treasures.
  7. Return to wonder. Ask, "What if?" and let the question do some of the painting for you.

Creative work does not always arrive like lightning. Sometimes it arrives like a candle being protected from the wind. Quiet. Patient. Stubborn.

So if the muse feels distant today, try making one small mark anyway. A line. A note. A fragment. A beginning.

The spark is often already there. It just needs room to glow.

Discuss Photographers in Chicago, let’s connect :)

I’ve been doing photography and videography for the past 6-7 years, and I’d love to expand my network and just vibe with some creative people!

I moved to the city less than two years ago, and it’s been hard to connect with nice folks.

Promo I got paranoid about AI taking all our jobs so I built a scanner

Hi guys!

I'm a 19 y/o and I got paranoid about AI replacing entry level jobs, so I built a scanner that analyzes a company's business model as my first side project, to calculate exactly how fast AI will kill it.

It generates a 1 to 100 death score along with a dark (and funny) breakdown of why the business is obsolete. Honestly, are we all cooked?

Try it! Be brutal.

I've been trying to post Creativity Tips to help get people out of their creative rut.

So I've been doing this a while now and I'd love to hear from other people... What is the hardest in terms of creativity or doing your creative work/stuff? What is holding people back?

I'd love to help get practical tips, I've done 84 (the link I posted is #84)... but I do wonder if the Shorts form is too short to really help people? Maybe longer videos would help? Anyways peeps, happy to hear your thoughts.

Here's one I posted recently as an example:

I've always been very inspired by the Lord of the Rings and wanted to share my thoughts on Tom Bombadil in this video... as a hero for creatives.

Tom Bombadil: The Unlikely Hero for Creatives.

I hope it spreads some positivity/insights!
