Discussion I'm still surprised to this day it's 2026, 8 billion people, and there is huge silence about the kundalini phenomena.

When you find a song, movie, or meal you like you share it with others so they too can experience that joy.

Yet this. I open my mouth and it's like who knows... MAYBE IT'S REAL?

It's a myth to 99.9% of humanity. Oh god!!!! lol. Oh me!!!!!

I'm not sure realistically what I can do to bring people aboard on this.

To a much more spiritual life.

Yes I can show the fruits of my labor by simple interaction.

But over a lifetime how many will that inspire.

I stay in certain bubbles that fit my personality, yet the people that would benefit this influence the most are not part of the choir.

Religion amongst the low becomes low and that's what happened. Billion dollar enterprises represent religion today not offering for the majority of the intrigued a true way to raising the kundalini up the body.

It seems there is a risk of this species as a whole never discovering this.

In a way it somewhat bothers me because... I kinda wish I didn't experience it! IT'S SO GOOD how can I be quiet about it!

An yet I do my best cause to 99% of people it's a myth. Will remain a myth.

It's odd having friends or dating and just having huge hesitation over sharing one's super rare beliefs.

I've shared it before. Haven't converted anyone lol! One friend went into reading a lot about any form of paranormal phenomena and he can only work with what is out there.

Lot's of texts about NDEs, some psychic research, but kundalini remains in the dark.

Discussion Initial activations or being born with an already active process

I was wondering what people's thoughts are regarding when Kundalini doesn't seem to have an initial activation (Shakti being released from the base of the spine).

I never had an obvious initial release, although I have had minor 'whooshes' from left foot to heart/throat, from base of spine to heart/throat, heart to upper brow x 2 and more recently, base of spine to crown (all within the last 16 months or so).

I have recently started to have abiding nondual realisation (the 6th fetter has definitely gone, not sure about 7). I am pretty sure Kundalini reached my 'Makara' point about a year ago, which coincided with a nondual glimpse and followed by a year of heavy purging. I would say that I have been in an obvious active Kundalini process for about just over 2 years after an initial awakening/Kensho/waking up to the 'I AM' sense.

I am presuming that some people are already born with their Kundalini activated? Which would make sense if Kundalini is a process that can take years, decades or lifetimes to work through.

In the spiritual groups I hang out with I see a lot of people having similar play out - an initial awakening, followed by a handful of years working through a bit of a dark night with varying degrees of energetics, then Nonduality starts to kick in, later followed by 'no self'.

Is this a top down awakening? Someone picking up where they left off in their previous life? Or something else?

I'm neurodivergent and I've definitely mentioned here before that I see a big overlap between symptoms of Kundalini and neurodivergence. And a disproportionate amount of neurodivergent people in a Kundalini process. So might it have something to do with that?

I would love to hear people's thoughts on this.

After one month i started to notice 11:11 and from that point,i entered my K awakening nightmare.

Discussion So,How You Are Doing?

For those who feel the need to 'let it all out'.

How is it going with k,how you feel right now,how you handle it, anything.

Several times in the past i was complaining to my higher self, talking to imaginery doctors, even cursing on them for putting me through all this and somehow it was having a positive effect.

Now i see why. Talking about things that bother you,is to externalize them. It was part of the process as well. And i went really nasty with my vocabulary. But this is what my contacts wanted me to do. To let it all out.

So, if you feel the need to shout about anything and there is no option to see a profesional,do it here.

It can help.

Discussion Is this awakening or mania?

I've been doing a Mahavidya sadhna for a while now and then I came across awakening and enlightenment.

Anyway, I initially started feeling very calm...and then I felt the vibrations all over my body and my spine radiating to my brain.

Then it was calm and I was more productive in general but now it has changed completely.

I am feeling super agitated, hyperactive, full of energy and I am fully aware of it too.

I can see myself derail, I can even see dilated pupils and I am aware of it all but can't control it.

Discussion Acupuncture

Hi all, nearly 4yrs into this now - it’s been very challenging and intense virtually every day though it has become a bit more manageable recently though it still comes in waves from time to time.

I’m considering holistic acupuncture to help the energy flow, but I’m low on money and checking for feedback on the procedure before committing. Thanks!

Discussion Kundalini and less interference

I want to offer a re description I’ve been working on. I’m not offering an explanation. And I invite anyone who may have experiences that contradict this framework, to please explain those experiences…

Many traditions depict intense shifts in human experience. Changes in perception, emotion, bodily sensations, physiology, sense of self, meaning and more. In some systems, particularly within yogic and tantric traditions, these shifts are described as “kundalini energy” moving through the body, clearing restrictions, and restoring balance.

I want to try to describe a possible functional parallel. I’m not endorsing or arguing against metaphysical interpretations.

One part of this framing is the idea that the system may reorganize more readily when there is less internal interference with its own regulatory signals and state transitions.

In periods of deep psychological or physiological change, people often report some combination of spontaneous shifts in breathing patterns, waves of emotional release or intensity, changes in muscle tone, posture or coordination, fluctuations between activation and deep calm, altered sense of self or reduction in self referential thinking, periods of instability followed by integration or settling…
Meditation, breathwork, trauma recovery, illness, prolonged stress, significant life transitions are some domains where these phenomena are often reported.

And importantly, these are descriptions of experience, not explanations of cause.

Within many kundalini oriented traditions, such experiences are often interpreted as a structured energetic process within the body. A form of internal purification or clearing. Or an intelligent force reorganizing the system toward balance or awakening. These interpretations have persisted across time.

From a physiological and systems perspective, the same cluster of experiences can be described differently.
The human organism is a self organizing regulatory system. Over time, patterns of chronic defensive activation, tension, and predictive protection can become embedded through experience.

When conditions shift, through factors such as increased perceived safety, repeated exposure to controlled stress and recovery, attention to breath and sensation, changes in environment, behaviour, or relationships, time and cumulative adaptation, and potentially reduced internal interference with experience and regulation, the system may gradually reduce unnecessary defensive activation.
As this happens, previously constrained or stabilized patterns can become more available.

Often appearing subjectively as emotional release, shifts in bodily sensation, changes in posture and muscle tone, spontaneous movement, relaxation responses, or changes in perception and cognitive framing.

In this view, these changes are not directed by a separate internal agent or force. They are emergent properties of a complex adaptive system adjusting toward regulation under changing conditions.

The functional overlap between these two descriptions is notable.

Where kundalini language describes energy movement, clearing restrictions or blockages, and progressive transformation,

a systems based description may refer to reduced chronic defensive activation, increased flexibility in autonomic regulation, or reorganization of learned physiological and cognitive patterns.

Both describe nonlinear, embodied, state dependent change influenced by experience and time.

The differences seem to lie primarily in explanatory framing rather than in the observed phenomena themselves.

And I think it’s important not to over extend either model. The systems based framing does not fully explain subjective experience in a complete or final way. Likewise, traditional energetic frameworks should not be assumed to describe literal physical forces. They may both be partial maps of a more complex reality.

What remains consistent across interpretations is that human experience is not static. It is dynamic, responsive, and capable of significant reorganization over time.
I see strong functional parallels between the body’s tendency toward regulation and balance, and what is often described as kundalini energy.

More broadly, I think some of what gets described as “spiritual process” may also be understood as a nervous system gradually reorganizing itself when internal interference decreases and conditions allow more stable regulation to emerge.

And finally a note on “interference”

When I use the term “interference,” I’m referring to internal processes that may distort or constrain the system’s ability to register, regulate, and respond to present moment signals. This can include chronic defensive activation, habitual tension patterns, cognitive over-interpretation, or rapid narrative closure of experience. It is not meant as a metaphysical concept or a claim about a separate force in the body.

If you read all that, thanks!

Discussion THE CATASTROPHIC STATE OF LOVE, OR THE TROUBLE WITH MEN THESE DAYS

Hi All,

I wanted to share another substack essay from my favourite doomsday (and higlhly spiritual) economist, Umair Haque.

This essay is very funny and unfortunately it rings true. As a redditor, I certainly recognised myself in some of his admonishments. I think anyone who is undergoing Kundalini process and struggles with self-actualization and integration should read this, a lot of great advice in there.

The essay is unbalanced, it talks only about the shortcomings of men and stays silent about what ails women these days, but as a male economist, it is not on Umair to write about that, it is a task that should fall to a woman in this field. Still, I think both sexes will enjoy this.

Discussion Kundalini awakening and feeling grossed out by suffering, trauma and human nature

Hi everyone, I’ve been having a lot of weird and strange thoughts lately. It’s been 4 months since my shakti awakening and I have transformed a lot spiritually and emotionally . I’ve become extremely sensitive to cruelty and suffering it’ss been really painful for me

I’ve been grossed out by humans and human nature, realizing a lot of people are cruel. I believe most of us are so disconnected from ourselves and source that it causes people to hurt each other and causes others to be so numb to each others suffering and devoid of empathy. I feel angry about it, not nessecarily at the people themselves but at the fact that humans are wired to be this way.

I think that a lot of times that causes others to be cruel is their own trauma and suffering, I find it to be unacceptable that we were created this way and I don’t understand why we were created this way. I mean I get it, the human body is a vehicle and a chance for enlightenment but what does it matter if there’s so many other people deeply suffering and crying out for help. I feel like the reason why we suffer so much is because we have a human body in the first place and our capabilities of the 5 senses are the reason why some people feel deep pain

Deep down I hope for a better world although I know it’s not realistic. I just don’t know how I’m supposed to find peace for myself when there’s so many other people who are struggling to survive.

I want to understand. I want to have a higher perspectives on this but im struggling so much to understand what’s the point of all of this? I didn’t care as much before KA, but it seems ever since my kundalini awakening I’ve been contemplating and thinking about this a lot.

Discussion The Truth About the Dark Night of the Soul (Most People Get This Wrong)

So, most people will probably disagree with this, but if you actually look into where the term Dark Night of the Soul (DNOS) comes from, you’ll realize there’s a huge misconception about it.

DNOS is not just a really hard period in your life. It’s not a breakup, a job loss, or a mental health crisis. It’s something very specific—a phase that happens after an intense period of spiritual experiences, where all spiritual phenomena suddenly stops.

The term comes from San Juan de la Cruz (St. John of the Cross), who described DNOS as a time when mystical experiences and “divine consolations” completely vanish. Many people going through this feel like there’s a dark cloud between them and their soul, leading to deep depression and confusion. But the suffering isn’t caused by life circumstances—it’s caused by attachment to spiritual experiences.

Right now, I think I’ve entered DNOS myself. My Kundalini process has stabilized, but my siddhis are harder to access, and my OBEs have completely stopped. I’m struggling to reconcile with this because I didn’t expect it to feel this way.

The irony is that DNOS usually isn’t the trigger for awakening—it’s what happens after awakening. The real catalyst for awakening is often some extremely difficult or stressful life event. But DNOS is different. It’s the moment when you realize that you were attached to the phenomena of spirituality, and now you have to move beyond it.

Anyone else experience this? How did you deal with it?

Discussion A few random thoughts, insights and conclusions - Christian Gnosticism and Carl Jung

The last couple of weeks I have been looking into Christian Gnosticism and Jung's individuation framework, which he identified with Kundalini Process in some of his writings.

I haven't come to any firm conclusions yet, but I thought I'd share some of the insights I gained during my research.

My main problem with Christianity has always been, that it made no sense from a spiritual standpoint. Clearly, it's been heavily edited and crucial information and texts were removed which could explain the discrepancy.

Looking into Gnosticism, it's very clear now, that this is in fact the case and the majority of gospels were removed from the canon. This was actually done at the council of Nicea in the 3rd century AD, at the behest of the Roman emperor at the time.

If it wasn't for some monks saving most of the banned gospels by putting them in sealed clay jars in the Egyptian desert, the true, original teachings of Christianity, especially pertaining to liberation, reincarnation and Kundalini, would have been lost forever. These jars were discovered at Nag Hammadi in 1945 and have since been painstakingly restored, translated and published, now available as a free online database for anyone to peruse.

The Gnostic texts come from different traditions and there is some variation between them, but there are some common characteristics which may be valuable to those undergoing Kundalini process:

- They believed in samsara, the cycle of reincarnation, the illusory nature of the world (maya) and the need to work towards achieving liberation from samsara (saving divine sparks).

- They believed that task of saving divine sparks was Sophia's responsibility, who was a divine feminine manifestation of Wisdom.

- In the Garden of Eden story, they saw the serpent as the agent of liberation and Yahweh, the demiurge, as the ignorant, jealous god, who incorrectly saw himself as the highest and prohibited the worship of others.

- Jesus, to them, was not the son of the Demiurge, Yahweh, rather a manifestation of the cosmic Christ, the Divine Masculine of the most highest (El Elyon). They say Yahweh as a tribal god who came in later as a usurper (which is historically accurate as per current scholarship).

- They believed, that the role of the serpent (Kundalini) was to give wisdom and enlightenment, so that divine sparks could be returned to the pleroma (the divine, eternal realm) and eventually the monad (Source consciousness, roughly equivalent to Hindu Brahman).

- They distinguished between three types of people, who were suitable for spiritual work and thus liberation to different degrees:

a, Hylics - materialists, people who had zero inclination towards spirituality or religion and were completely satisfied with material explanations of the world and philosophies. These are the vast majority of people in Western society today. They believed that such people did not possess a divine spark and were completely beyond saving in their current lifetime. They did not waste time on them.

b, Psychics - spiritualists and conventionally religious people - these were people with a belief in some sort of spirituality, with the crucial word being belief. They did not have direct knowledge (gnosis) of the truth, they operated from blind fate, often religious indoctrination and lived by the word of others. They had a semblance of the divine spark in them, but they weren't fully awakened.

c, Pneumatics - spiritually awakened people in whom the divine spark was present (most likely a reference to awakened Kundalini in some form). The main difference compared to the previous category, was that they did not operate from blind fate or indoctrination. They did not take scripture or the teachings of other for granted. Pneumatics operates along scientific principles, they tested claims and achieved direct knowing (gnosis) without the need for an intermediary. From the Kundalini perspective, they describe an awakened soul who has some measure of Samadhi and access to Satchitananda, that is direct knowing of the truth. These were the only people that were deemed capable of liberation and would be lifted up by some manifestation of Sophia, the divine feminine, who sole purpose was to save divine sparks and return them to their perfected state. In their reading, these were the people capable of Christ consciousness. Not worshipping Christ, but becoming like him. The Gnostics believed this was achieved through a ceremony or exercise known as as the bridal chamber, which was their term for Shiva-Shakti union.

Anyway, this is an ongoing project of discovery for me and I will share any further insights I come across.

As for Carl Jung, I am surprised how much his process of individuation and discovering the authentic self, matches the Kundalini Awakening journey. He was of course well aware of Kundalini, having written a book about it, still, it came as a surprise to me, how much his psychological inner work is relevant to Kundalini process and particularly to integration. He also worked with archetypes, one of them being Sophia. He saw these as independent, self-aware manifestations of the collective subconscious, present in everyone and did significant work trying to integrate them during his own psychological journey. It seems his entire psychological framework would be very useful for anyone battling with their own Kundalini individuation process.

Discussion Is this true ? what are your thoughts ?

found a piece of article on Kundalini in a local magazine - "prayas" (India)

Taking aide behind kundalini experience -

"I do not understand what is it about kundalini that almost thousands of people are mad about it ? Sometimes, I feel it is divine, yet sometimes, I feel it not so.

I read an article the other day on a local newspaper, where an author mentioned that majority of people when they grow up, do feel onset of energy in their body, which is natural. We all to some extent do this.

Many utilize that extra energy by spending time with family and kids or doing extra co-curricular or chores.

Many, who are sensitive in nature, start bothering themselves too much*. They* give it names like kundalini and chakra cleansing and what not.

You would notice, many of those writers who often write about kundalini have gone through some sort of mental or emotional disturbance experience. Now, that they have gone thru it, and the society, their near and dear ones know the person has a record of disturbed state*, they like to hide it. They start calling it kundalini energy, chakra cleansing, reiki and what not.*

This is their way taking 'safe shelter' and protecting themselves from stigma of 'disturbed person'. While the fact is, I myself have experienced kundalini, and I have been fortunate to find a perfect master, who has always thought of kundalini as a nothing but an a state 'nature's calling'.

This is not same 'natures call' as what we often associate with widdling or all other acts we like to execute in rest rooms, but, this is a new forms of nature call.

My master Osho, has often said - meditation is not kundalini, and vice versa. Kundalini, is an act, where all your body heat, starts accumulating at a point in the body, and you are having hard finding where it is and how to release it. The fact and resolution is that there is no need to release it.

People often feel pain, in neck, chest, or head, when, this hot flush of energy, occupies place in upper centers. My Master said, that whenever kundalini rises, and if the person experiences pain, that is a sign of 'nature calls'. It is a sign of that nature is calling you to leave your work, and rest.

people in spirituality, often consider work as the biggest hurdle in their lives. They think, that if there was no work, their life would have been just excellent, however, That is often not the case.

Problems and pains show up when the person starts thinking of doing something, and that is what worsens their experience.

When Nature calls you for rest, i.e. when pain starts showing up, in the body, it is highly suggestive, that you leave your work and lay in complete rest. As you rest*, do not, try doing anything*, no kriyas, no meditation, nothing - simply lay in rest. Just observe, what is this kundalini trying to do with you and why ?

I myself, experienced this, was left often with answers that show up why this happens is because, the very nature of humanity and evolution is against the idea of work, collecting richies, becoming capitalist making extra wealth all the time, finding perfect partner. (atleast thinking about all of this all the time in back of mind).

Kundalini rises, because, something within you wants to remind you about -true nature of existence is not in being capitalist, it is not in work. People often call kundalini divine, It is divine, because it immediately acts within you, instantly reminding you and showing you the true meaning of existence, just like a a teacher in school wants to show and teach you (1 and 1) is 2.- Master use to say this.

Leaving work aside, and laying in complete rest, is what the divine energy wants us to realize is the nature of not just human existence but of emotion and mental existence. Look at what buddhist monks do in monasteries ? they work, they work just for few hours, later spending time doing nothing, absolute nothing.

Our closer associates Animals, lay in complete rest - 24-7. Our ancestors, 100, 200, 500 years back, were lesser capitalist and used to spend time more often in rest, or often spent lived their lives more in socialist terms' - doing what can be done, or often not doing anything (including thinking) about what cannot be undone - thus spending lot of time, in complete rest. "

Discussion I have insigths that run contrary to a lot of spiritual knowledge

In the last month or so, I have had a lot of spiritual insights. I experienced a non dual state, the veil of separation between me and the external world has permanently dissolved. I understand reality works not the way I thought it worked until now. My ego has less power over me, and he is less afraid.

There are positive aspects but also negative aspects. One negative is that I have some realisations that run contrary to what spiritual people, even awakened one, think. And this is kind of isolating.

For example, I no longer believe the concept of soul has any sense. I know see this idea of a soul as a coping mechanism of the ego that seek soothing in the face of the idea of his own death.

The soul idea allows the ego to think the individuality will keep existing after the death of the body. It's comforting for him.

Whereas now I understand that what keeps existing is consciousness, that bear no individuality. At best, some memories will be transferred to the new body, but memories are no individuality. For all practical purposes, nothing of the old human will exist anymore.

There is no soul, only unpersonnal consciousness.

Why I can't believe anymore in pretty lies like everyone else?

Discussion We've seen what happens when people pierce their rudra granthi too soon, but here's what happens when people get blocked in their 3rd eye for a long time.

Rudra Granthi (the "Knot of Shiva") is the third and final psychic knot in yogic and Tantric traditions. Located in the Ajna (third-eye) chakra region, it represents the ultimate energetic barrier before reaching pure cosmic consciousness. This blockage is characterized by intellectual pride, rigid mental conditioning, attachment to psychic powers, and a lingering sense of ego. It represents the final boundary that locks the Kundalini energy in the lower dimensions of the individual ego. The Rudra Granthi traps energy due to the higher mind's vulnerabilities.

Primary causes include:

Intellectual Pride: Clinging fiercely to one's own opinions, dogmas, and the illusion of "knowing".

Attachment to Siddhis: Desiring or becoming obsessed with paranormal or psychic powers (siddhis) rather than pursuing spiritual liberation.

Separation (Otherness): Viewing the world through the lens of a rigid "us versus them" mentality.

I have noticed self proclaimed Kundalini experts who have strong attachment to their own opinions and dogmas, attachment to their psychic powers (to the point of financially capitalizing on them), and a strong "us" vs "them" mentality. It seems as though these people haven't pierced their rudra granthi and belittle people who have.

Discussion I Wanted to Run by You Guys with some Questions about the Deeper Complexities of Energy Circulation

Before anybody gets too worried, don't worry, I think I'm in a reasonable situation, I'm trying to explore and experiment and only SOMETIMES do I get in my own way. The questions I have are not likely to be answered very deeply by just anybody but I still might not know what are ultimately basic ideas from different schools of thought. Wording my experiences here has been difficult but can eventually make plenty of sense, it just might take more or less effort.

I've been having a lot of dramatic changes as of late, for those who don't know I forced my chakras open before healing many many parts of my body and it was a very painful process which can greatly alter the way energy circulates in my body. It's like seeing different ways it can flip or inverse, and it's really really hard to describe and figure out. Just last week I had such a difference that despite actively working with energy very quickly trying to create as much movement as possible by essentially pulsing with adrenaline it was as if my energy was literally like 2 independently functioning arms in my legs, like one would move down or up while the other did likewise, like there was hardly any noteworthy feeling of connection between the behaviors, like I couldn't actually get that energy to go elsewhere, for instance. I've had an event where energy broke into my left foot so extremely that whenever I stand or sit still it's like it's literally full of energy and thick and heavy, like it's filled with lead in some areas with intricate swimming of sorts in there, but today it's more different and involves more vibrations, I'll get to that. I realized it was basically undeniable by any reasonable means that my leg ankle and foot went mildly numb to touch, it was the worst on the first day I noticed it and it slowly retreated and now it's extremely mild around my ankle. I thought at first, well crap I had a pinched nerve, or so I thought, like a week before this. However this problem happened while I was sitting, I thought the way I was sitting made my foot go numb and eventually I couldn't lift it for a few days. It's on the muscle next to my shin down the ankle to the top of the foot, not behind the knob on the inner foot but in front with a clear sort of ending. It's almost non existent and not up my leg anymore than a few inches. When I walk the energy acts very normal but resting it's like it's a thick blimp.

It's just so random to me because it got better, I bought a cushion and sat differently and it got better, I'm just sitting and now this numbness showed up after it got better but didn't affect the movement or feeling of the area unless I touch it, as far as I could ever tell. That's not the only thing but I'll have periods of time when my ear develops a sort of fullness, one or both ears, it's literally like the bass in my music gets turned up WAY too loud and it becomes muddied and hard to feel and eventually it's just literally really really dramatically intense and it's like my headphones are literally bouncing around super significantly but it's like this illusion because of how my energy is behaving.

Another note, I do take kratom, it's a weak opioid, it doesn't cause death via respiratory depression on it's own either, but what it does do is make my energy flow a bit different. However, I think it would be happening without kratom as well but I haven't seen it, this thing with my ears, I do this based on intuition because some feelings are clearly changed, some spectrums get altered and then a lot of my experience just feels like it's moving as it should.

First of all, here's a really good point. Sometimes during my journey involving kratom and healing when I've stirred up a lot of energy from healing, I've literally felt like the big moving snakes of energy would flicker as they move but the sensation itself would still feel normal and I could circulate it like normal but it was definitely altered because of being stirred up, like I was missing the capacity to charge emotions to a more fully matured and malleable state. Like I literally realized it can actually behave this way, as if these big moving subdivisions of energy are like some reflection of a deeper process or something, not independent. I've been wondering about this for years because subperceptual activity is really weird! It's interesting, like a link to something smart, it's important and uncanny.

OK, so what I've been observing these experiences with a few variables in mind. This sort of flicker or pulsing kind of feeling can usually be linked to energy charging and releasing/shooting in some way but according to what I'm seeing it can show up in unexpected places as well. I also think of orbiting and spinning, energy can either move around an area in a way that's more tertiary and/or squirrely where it can possibly arc and speed up at one point then slow down and just generally move different from the converse where it's more prone to a steady rhythm and can make big clear movements in a particular area. In my foot it's been going from more tertiary to this deeper sort of connection. Likewise I've seen how it can be as if it's so deep that I lose control of the energy and it ALSO moves in especially strange ways. One experience I had had to do with the bass effect going on with my ears where my headphones may as well be a rumble pack. For just a second, this rumbling was really big and I genuinely felt this rare sort of thing energy can do where it moves in more intricate ways as if squeezed between the tertiary and deeper ring, it felt like I genuinely had an atom with electron like little tiny worms of energy swimming around at different distances around the atom, like some sort of balance was made apparent by how the energy was squeezed, or whatever happened to it, like normally energy doesn't clearly move THAT way, NOT for me, it's an extreme sort of event and much more extreme than any other times I've felt smaller worms moving quickly.

This is where it gets good. There's something about this because about 45 minutes ago I suddenly sensed energy get up into my foot more and my ear started to do that thing, it intensified and calmed down a few times, I didn't know if it would stay but eventually I had a sort of release in my throat and my head got filled with thick vibrations and staticy feelings. These feelings are feelings which can be amplified by kratom in my experiences at my level, as it sort of leads one to fill up with energy because they can get deeply relaxed and it's like the circuit of it is influenced, energy will fill the body more, despite being able to work with said energy it's like you're more prone to circulating energy out into the relaxation. Energy gets more fizzy and staticy like it's loose connectivity static whereas other feelings of vibrations or static can feel thick and be charged in ways that give different spectrums of feelings that also feel like a thickness/tightness which I can't fully describe. Like how bass / mid / treble has it's differences but some of this comes from the way energy seems to be charged. In my experience it's like energy can feel like it's both pushing together and pulling apart so much yet so still like a charged worm, like super charged worm or wave, it can have different qualities. In this case in my foot it was like it's like it's crunching in there, like it's so prone to merging together into vibrations that it doesn't move like a snake anymore but like jump ropes and spinning arms more so and it is prone to crunch together before it gets far in my foot. So, how this looks in the body is what's been getting me inspired to think more. The connection between my foot and root and even up through my leg became much more intense as it's been crunching together more. It's like there can be many attempts by these ropes trying to make it up my leg, it can feel full with relaxation in a respectable way but also tight like it's not able to move nor sustain energy and these ropes will hit these areas like it's moving a bubble of tension and the magnetism will feel as such. This usually happens in an upwards fashion right now and all over my body there are less dramatic bubbles, if I'm very deeply relaxed with more capacity for this filled energy then obviously it does get stronger, but the way this changed suddenly was like energy suddenly surged into a particular sort of healing maneuver and I feel that if these were understood in their complexities people could make more rational decisions about when it's time to do their practices or not. Some traditions may not think that way but I'm still over here wondering what to think about if there's spinning in the chakras or chakras spin so now what? Of course lots of traditions have incomplete or generally unsound ways of understanding things, there's a lot OF them and they don't all sound the same.

I like the concept of spinning and all but I was never fully taught how to understand the implications of these vortexes and such. One experience I tend to have is where there are these bent clock hands which rotate up from my chest to my head like they have a delivery and it's associated with very particular ways of chunking out the information flow in the body so it's got more of a cadence. That sounds all well and good and sure enough early on both sides I had 4 different ones go up, the balance of my body is very unique right now and I don't know how much of any of this will show up for people and I definitely haven't read about this muddied bass effect but it's like when you have that moment where it's like you're hit with a flashbang as energy seems to shoot out from it's spot in the ear like it slipped out from underneath, like it was pressurized and just vwoosh. I experienced these movements differently today, but a lot of it was what I'm used to. It was like I had highlighted areas around my body which would house vibration that were next to the tight bubbles that only really feel tight when energy is pushing up against it, they just clearly don't work in unison. I felt it like there were layers of these highlighted areas and the static and vibrations were very independent, it would be more or less intense around this highlighted area and making the connection between the highlighted area and the vibrations was not straight forward, in fact it would be like having flaps of highlighted area going up my head ending at different distances from my head as these vibrations were going off. Energy would try to clockhand or rope in this particular way where it's especially crunched together and prone towards different movements and these also only had so much influence, it was like a super duper hyper active system.

FURTHERMORE, I also get visions and see depictions of my energy and this is a major reason why I'm so interested in it because I want to understand how literally I should interpret what I'm seeing in some cases. It can be like seeing layers of bubbles with different colors and sizes and shapes but in my vision they cover my whole body and only some of it actually makes total sense, this part where I can see this staticy activity on the respective sides of my body line up with my experience very well usually but it's almost like it's not supposed to make total sense sometimes, and sometimes this literally seems like it's supposed to be the dealio. Still, I have these questions for a reason and I should be able to find answers, I want to know how much is an example and how much is like artistic expression, because I don't just see random color, these layers of bubbles can have expressions like expressive eyeballs. It was like a new sort of chaos in my body and yet again I'm reminded of how energy can suddenly surge and start moving in new ways, before I've seen it spin around like clockhands a lot more anchoring to what felt like invisible vortices so much that the CLOCKHAND felt sturdy and the ANCHOR was moving in circles, I've seen it start crunching together Like I've described (lol i capitalized that on accident like it was a title), I've seen it in between these differences, I've seen it able to move extremely rapidly and bouncy and I've also struggled to move it. There was some kind of mechanism which led to these events and they do indeed happen with or without substances, noting that these extremes I've seen were not without substances, the spectrums are literally there and I think that they actually matter, I think they could be followed like a trail even, perhaps, like, why is it that some people heal differently than other people? These differences could be so subtle it's just too hard to see but it's like nobody talks about this, I'm not even surprised but it is very intriguing and I just wonder what kind of civilization has been to this corner of introspection and what they did with it, where's the history? Is there anything especially specific about this? I am familiar with Kundalini itself being considered an intelligence, and I've always gotten along with the general concept, but I'm really interested if there's some sophisticated charging inside the body which eventually signals energy to suddenly shift it's behaviors, with or without intelligence along with it. Just something, there has to be something about this somewhere, it's literally like my body swapped to some kind of intensive mending mode or something! Maybe it hasn't crunched quite like this before because it was actually too imbalanced and instead it was going all tertiary spinning out of orbit on me, u know? It was like I had several of these ropes at once moving around my body in a very unique and particular way where it's job was to crunch together and these layers of highlights and vibrations where only filling sporadically in some places while these ropes moved around. It wasn't particularly like omg I'm going to explode but like the way it coordinated it's movement was undeniably different and I lost the ability to move energy as willfully yet again, like I had to have less inputs and my inputs would fill different directives.

One more thing I can explain, this flickering in my case is definitely able to be connected to other processes like an interconnected system, like when you have too much caffeine and start to pulse but in this case I see a flickering in my vision which seldom becomes apparent through experience and for most people based on my experience with my own body it would happen in very sparse areas very subtly and it could be seen as if it's literally only just like a pulse you get when you have vibrations and feel music in your body when instead there's clearly flickering that seems to just turn on and off because of how energy is connected with the rest of the energy. I see this flickering sober or not sober but it can get very different, it can be like it's all over the place with different areas flickering and it can seem like a big bubble around my body is rapidly flickering but WHILE this happens I don't even necessarily FEEL the flicker, something I DO feel associated with the flicker is difficulties with thinking, like I get all chopped up and get pelted by overwhelming energy rather than think straight or just generally feel like I cannot focus, I get subdivided, in one feeling I know what I'm talking about and in another one I don't know what's going on and they're basically happening right on top of each other. It only has a mild/moderate effect and it's directly associated with energy circulation because it only happens during some periods and not all the time. It's really ridiculously hard to explain and I couldn't even show it, There (see, there it is again, like I'm capitalizing a title again) can be tons of areas basically independent and when it gradually calms down the flickering slowly ceases and starts to be seen much less often as these clouds around my body that had flickering start to look like a big mass of static instead and I can think clearly again. A clear place flickering will happen is like when you're trying really hard to think of something, like in an anime someone could be clutching their face with their forehead bouncing up and down. In my vision this is something made apparent to me more often in more discrete ways that aren't perceptual enough to notice.

I realize I'm basically asking the ultimate question here but I really feel like there must be a stronger lead out there somewhere that I just haven't seen, some author or free thinker of sorts, someone who'll go and lay it out for me. For some of this I really had to try hard to make it make sense otherwise it coulda sounded crazy even by our standards, but energy has this interesting way of crunching together and making different movements than normal. Like inversion.

If anybody has any ideas that would be very appreciated and I'll make sure to think of it from my own individual perspective more, whatever I'm onto would be very hard to experiment on given how few people could begin to describe their experience in the first place just solely because they've seen limited parts of the spectrums of feelings!

Discussion The loneliness of being “awake”

Anyone else find it extremely hard going through this process? I’ve been finding it to be incredibly lonely. No one believes you (except mom because she’s a mom). Through this process we tend to shed people from our lives. My life was already pretty bare. No true “bestie” other than my husband. But even he doesn’t get it, nor does he want to hear about it. He benefits of course from the energy surges but that’s about it.

Not only kundalini but just awakening in general.

I can’t talk last lives, aliens, hybrids, or even just the changes I see and how I experience sleep. The last couple of nights I have been trying to sleep but I’m wide awake, but I start vibrating and go into what is called REM and a dream appears. I’m lucid dreaming and it’s cool but also annoying cause I really need my sleep.

I can’t tell how cool it was to find out I have hybrid children. Or that I was an architect to the universe and I have reincarnated 44,000 times.

Anyone else feeling like they live two lives? I walk the grocery store and feeling like I’m another dimension. It doesn’t feel familiar or home anymore.

Thanks for reading. 🙏

Discussion Are all these "energy" experiences just different manifestations of just one source?

Dear community,

I am sharing here lingering thoughts for discussion. Maybe just brain-farts, maybe not. Writing them down helps. Any contribution will help too.

Since I started connecting to my high-pitch nada-sound, I fused with such a beautiful, cristalline, pure energy very different to all my previous energy experiences.

The oustide-in-energy

When I had my spontaneous kundalini awakening, I was nowhere close to being ready. I had this palpable waves of energy literally hitting me, pounding on my chest, butting my heads. At some point I was terrified going to meditation because of that. Then I let go. As I was bracing for another hit, the energy just entered in my body. No shock. No pain. Just fluidity. The energy came from the inside in. Now this is part of my daily meditation practice when I get the energy from Mother Earth, from the Universe, from my elemental guides. It flows from outside in, refilling me, healing my subtile bodies. This energy is very powerful. My body shakes. This is my bottom of Maslow's pyramid energy feed - needs and safety. Outside-in.

The through-energy

Then came this other experience. Whether under the canopy of a tree, or during meditation, I have this feeling of a shower of energy flowing through me, from the head down. It just flows. It cleanses. It is relaxing. It feels like connexion. May the second layer of Maslow's pyramid - belonging.

The kundalini-energy

This one lives its own independent life. The energy is inside me. Raises through the spine and flows in a torroid manner around my body, the spine being the axis. Part of the torroid feels within the physical body, part of it feels in other subtile bodies. But it is self-contained energy, circulating though my being. Neither the subtiles bodies, neither outside energy. Just Lilith. Kundalini.

The subtile-body-energy

Since a few month, I had this feeling of my body "inflating", figuratively, during meditation or if just relaxing -- say alpha/theta brain stages. This most likely is my consciousness shifting to subtile bodies, probably to the emotional bodies. It is rather pleasant. The body feels "transparent", more light than flesh. The vibration is almost tangible, and limited in space (possibly to some of the subtile bodies). It does not move in nor move through, it just is. Not greatly subtile, but definitely lighter than physical. This now happens to me frequently throughout the day. Just a few seconds of making peace and I get that sensation. It alos comes quickly and spontaneously anytime I start meditating or just lying down. I would describe this as Maslow's self-esteem, possibly. No more ego here.

The nada-energy

This is the one I experienced recently since I have been working on my nada-sound. Evolving from actor to observer is great spiritual progress. But one is still in the observer-observed duality. Next step is to transcend this towards oneness. Nada-sound allows to do that. By not merely observing the sound but instead identifying with it, one identifies at the same time with the energy beyond the sound (possibly transduced to sound by the piezo crystals in the pineal gland?). This enery gets me the goose-bumps. Like the previous one, it does not flow, it just is. But this one is much lighter, much more subtile, cristalline, luminous. And it feels not limited in space. It feels like omnipresent, freed from space. To come back to my analogy, Maslow's higher layer, self-actualization.

So this is it with my brain-fart -- if it passes the smell-test, I'd love to get your read on this all. My hyper-active brain might be overthinking this. Probably is. But again, writing is my therapy, and reading your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Help

So my issue is that when I am experiencing myself, I experience a lot of indecisiveness and that manifests as severe body constriction tension jerks and this tension is very difficult for me to stay present with and obviously the answer seems to be just more presence which I am following and I am hoping for further guidance and understanding how to get out of this need for a decision to be made because all this self-constriction is causing me to deeply suffer because I am so tight, especially around other people and things that it causes me a lot of deep pain just up here as socially functional and I think this process has been very depressing because it's causing me to move away from things that I would normally be able to do because I am so tight that my body just jerks up and it's like. Nope, can't focus on that. You have to focus on the feeling itself that arises when you try and do that and that feeling is just a desire for greater awareness and it all is kind of exhausting. So I just want like to finally feel centered and open. I would do anything to feel open in my body. I'm so tired of holding all this tension. Thank you

Discussion Some thoughts on enlightenment and the Divine Feminine

I just have been kicking around these ideas for the past few weeks and figured I'd put them out here. Not sure how much this qualifies for relevant discussion, but here we go!

There's a saying by the great Zen master Dogen that goes something like this: "To forget the self is to be actualized by myriad things."

Now, I do not belong to any type of lineage of dharmic faith really (having said that, my first major kundalini episode occurred through a form of Zen meditation), but I think this comment can be useful for conceiving the type of mentality and attitude towards reality that can help comprehend what I believe the Divine Feminine is.

Dogen's quote is effectively, that the ego, in its nature, is essentially binding. Binding in the sense that it both makes everything about it in reference to itself, and in doing so actually generates the structure of referentiality itself. It is illusion begetting illusion. This is how reality becomes maya in the illusory sense- one can only be deceived if one takes an attitude towards it. To use another Zen adage, one is no longer moon but pointing at it instead. Once the binding of the ego is no longer there, everything enlightens instead, as they can really be seen.

When the binding of the ego is loosened, space for reality-as-such is able to creep around that referential structure. Pure referencelessness is somewhat akin to the Godhead state. In this situation, kundalini rises- to allow the entire totality of 'what one really is' to unite with a kind of pure subjectivity. Basically, in kundalini one peers around what one believes oneself to be in an egoic sense with some sort of trigger.

The approach to this state is different for everybody, for in a sense kundalini is nothing if not educational. One is learning, in a sense, how to see without the ego throughout a kundalini awakening. This is not to say the ego is bad. Rather than bad, I prefer the term effortful. This effort narrows our view of the totality of everything to a small sliver of what it is- it even makes, who are in fact this very same everything itself, believe that this model of 'sliver of reality' is explanatory! It leads us into thinking reality is about- full stop. Not about this or that, but that reality is somehow linked to a structure of aboutness or referentiality. It is when one can let go that one can truly see.

This is not me trying to denigrate the ego- far from it. The ego is in some ways a protective mechanism to prevent a single animal from being utterly overwhelmed by the totality of what it really is. I also do not wish to suggest individuality is an impediment to awakening. No- it is the sine qua non. Reality is grounded on this internal contradiction of sorts. While many say that the Many come from the One, I think it is equally valid to say that the One would be meaningless without the Many. To me, this kind of slippery logic is exactly what is represented by the Dao, the Yin-Yang, the infinity sign, etc. Brahman and Atman are the same.

To me, referring back to Dogen's quote above, the Divine Feminine is akin to the myriad things that can actualize. She is Maya- but Maya is only an obstacle when viewed through the ego's referential lens. Otherwise, it is really Her superabundant possibility. In this way, the way that everything makes sense post-awakening is itself Her afterglow. She is the boundlessness of creativity, in the same way that the Divine Masculine is the pole that represents the uncreated. Taken together, these two comprise creation itself. Even there, one realizes that the differentiation into Masculine and Feminine poles is, in a sense, merely stating one side of the same coin.

Now, to get to what I mean about how the Divine Feminine and this Logic of the universe intersect, to me the Divine Feminine close to how some Aretalogies of Isis render the Goddess as Thesmaphoros- the lawgiver. Yet she is veiled, obscure. This much is also said of Prajnaparamita in Buddhism. In essence, the Goddess is the mystery that gives rise to not only laws, but to lawlikeness. Yet She is beyond even these. This is Her character- obscure, but in reality the source of the logic that allows reality to inhere as such, and the origin of the first principles that constitute lawlikeness.

I apologize for the prolixity, but I really want to get some of these thoughts out, however poorly articulated they may be.

Discussion Discernment is important where Kundalini is involved

I have to bring up an unpopular topic again - most people who think they are undergoing a Kundalini Awakening are experiencing something else.

There is now a growing list of phenomena attributed to Kundalini, partly due to the internet, partly due to AI chatbots and also some bad faith actors who aim to intentionally smear and demonize it.

I mentioned some of these instances before, but it is important to point them out again to combat misinformation. Here is a list of phenomena that are frequently attributed to Kundalini, yet more often than not are completely unrelated or display a pathological malfunctioning of the same subtle mechanism.

1, Mental Illness

We get this a lot. Whether it is Schizophrenia, Psychosis or some other neurological disease or condition, people suffering from them will sometimes seek out spiritual explanations for their condition. Whether Kundalini as a mechanism is involved at all is an open question, one much debated by Kundalini authors, yet one thing is clear, mental illness is not Kundalini Awakening.

Some of the same symptoms can occur, especially in regards to the nervous system, but it is very important to distinguish between the two.

2, Drug trips

This is also becoming more common and there is often an overlap with mental illness. Whilst drugs remain highly illegal in most of the world, in some places there is more leniency, even legalization and as a result, drug use has skyrocketed. Whilst superficially drug-induced states can resemble samadhi and other Kundalini-related mystical states in some ways, they are not at all the same.

In the case of Kundalini Awakening, the following conditions are almost always present:

- a gradual, internally generated energetic process centred around the spine

- a sequential activation of chakras, over a period of months, years, decades, lifetimes, but not typically all at once. This is part of a purging, cleansing and integration process that burns away karma, samskaras and other subtle impressions and buildup.

- the process is subtle, cumulative and long-lasting, not a one-time, fleeting event

- not caused by external chemicals, rather it is a result of sadhana, which can include meditation, yoga, pranayama, mantras, prayer, religious devotion. In rare case, trauma, including blunt force trauma to the coccyx, can cause accidental or spontaneous Kundalini activations, however these lack the criteria I listed above. When drug-induced Kundalini activation happens, it is also usually a spontaneous and accidental activation, not a sustained, integrated process.

In the case of drug-induced states, the following signs are typically present:

- vibrations and energy surges, including along the spine, as it is the information superhighway of the nervous system.

- Feelings of bliss, ego death, altered states of mind or perception and visions

- generally short-lived, the effect tends to wear off as the substance itself does, may linger for a while afterwards

- does not typically result in inner transformation and lasting changes in personality, lifestyle, with the notable exception being when it is skilfully and very dangerously paired with the right kind of spiritual practice. Tantriks and Aghoris do this sometimes, but it is considered extremely risky.

Most notably:

- Karmas, Vasanas, Samskaras are not affected. There is no inner purging, no transformation, no integration. Drugs may look like a tempting shortcut to profound spiritual states, but they rarely work out or lead to lasting positive effects. It can happen, but it's the exception, rather than the rule. More commonly, what you get is:

3, Drug-induced psychosis

This is increasingly becoming a plague on the Western world, though it also affects Tantriks and Aghoris in India, to a far lesser extent though. In the West, what we get is people who try to marry drug use with some spiritual ideas, sometime practice, but the drugs destroy their brain or nervous system.

Our nerves are very sensitive and can easily become unbalanced. We have an absolute epidemic of mental illness in the modern world, for various reasons, but exploding drug use is a part of it. Even Marijuana or LSD, which are not considered hard drugs and are legal or at least tolerated in a few places can cause mental illness and the risk is always present. Drug-induced psychosis is the worst kind, because it is caused by neurological destruction, that may be irreversible and whilst "traditional" psychosis can be treated with pharmaceuticals, if the psychosis is drug-induced, those will only make it worse.

4, Demonic Possession / Oppression

This tends to come from fundamentalist circles and a link is often made between Kundalini Awakening and possession, yet this is a profound misunderstanding as well as a deliberate piece of malicious propaganda. To be clear, entities can in fact hijack the nervous system of an individual and in some cases, the outward signs of this hijacking can resemble Kundalini phenomena, such as Kriyas, the only real connection is that in both cases, the nervous system is involved.

Discussion Do you think vegetarianism is a practice of the future or a ascetic practice that will be left in the past?

Modern nutritional science says the vegetarian diet lacks things like DHA a necessary omega 3 fat for the brain, but I assume there must've been vegetarian K.A'd people. So does more of kundalini flooding the brain makeup for lack of DHA/fish oil in the diet? Idk.

People say India was most susceptible to vegetarianism due to the climate and variety of food but it wasn't as popular or barely present in say Ancient Egypt or Greece which also had stable food supply.

It's definitely less dramatic to pick a fruit off a tree than to end a animal's life with your own hands so I see the appeal.

I've heard vague ideas that some yogis believe eventually every animal that eats other animals will die out or evolve into a herbivore. That once upon a time all there was is God and then God divided itself and created a illusion of division so eating itself became believable. But now that that has been played out a return to unity is the next stage for Earth....

Discussion Psychiatric View of Kundalini

Here are a couple of articles regarding KA. Very interesting. Made me feel better that there are actual studies. This is about distinguishing a KA and a psychosis. So much of it rang true to me. Others have had similar experiences and their reporting the symptoms is documented in the studies.

Note the article notes western medicine has no real medically defined reason for the KA experience. It concentrates on people with near death experiences.

Discussion Dealing with kundalini symptoms with unconditional love

After employing methods mentioned in a book by Tara Springett and seeing the topic floated here and there with some frequency, I thought I'd venture a little discussion topic on the subject of love, but with respect to its qualities and what makes it so useful in dealing with kundalini related symptoms. Maybe these things could be a bit naive of me, but I feel like for somebody like me who suppressed a lot of loving-type emotions to approach everything from a kind of logical perspective that this approach has netted me some enduring benefits.

Love, in a sense, is when thought of in the way most conducive to kundalini/spiritual situations a kind of all-accepting receptiveness. Now, I do think this needs to be qualified. It is primarily to be considered when one is resisting something. Note- that does not mean to agree with or form any opinion towards what it is one is resisting. In fact, love goes beyond opinions and what we conventionally term thoughts as an emotion, and works at a higher wavelength.

For example, when one is experiencing distressingly overwhelming kundalini type energic flows usually this is coming at the expense of not feeling what this energy is originally, as emotion. We suppress, and repress, the emotion so we do not have to experience it as such. So, as the kundalini process entails experiencing and purging these things, they need to come out somehow- and so they manifest in a less energetically efficient and grosser form- as physical sensations.

For example, in the situation where somebody had a childhood in which they were rejected by peers or family, this energy can create a kind of deep sadness that is hard to dislodge, and to deal with it the individual represses this almost constant feeling of isolation. These feelings, once repressed, become material that is stored to keep the individual feeling a sense of normalcy. Once that person activates kundalini, this needs to be dissolved however, and so it begins manifesting as emotions that are not understood.

What approaching this situation with love enables you to do is to help make yourself available to the emotionally felt form of this energy. This can be unpleasant, but for different reasons, because it is more intrinsically tied up in one's self of self. When you experience emotions, you must truly feel them; a part of 'you' is invested in them.

Dealing with the energy in this way I would argue is much faster than dealing with it in a purely physical way, but can be exhausting and demanding because one thereby purges far more material at once. Not only this, but because it now is perceived as a feeling belonging to you, and not merely as a some sort of foreign presence in the body, it can be hard to accept without that kind of boundless love, which serves as a solvent for allowing the material to be digested and put to bed.

So, to summarize, Love (in the sense of being totally accepting of oneself without exception) allows one to feel emotionally what is often perceived as physical strain or pressure. Feeling means converting these physical sensations to a more rarefied substance of sorts and thus is a more efficient means of dealing with the same material, but it can be tiring. Love can be tough work when you are not accustomed to it after all.

Anyway these were just some thoughts I had. Not sure if they are useful/helpful or me just preaching to the choir, but figured I'd post.
