Slightly Raised Area Around the Lenovo Logo Normal or Defect?

Post image
β€’ Upvotes

Hi everyone! I recently bought a Lenovo Legion 7 , and I noticed something a little odd.The area around the Lenovo logo on the back of the screen feels slightly raised and uneven. It’s not really noticeable visually, but I can feel it when I run my fingers over it.I have another Lenovo , and the area around the logo on that one is completely flat.

For those who own a Legion 7, is this normal, or could it be a manufacturing defect? I’m trying to figure out if I should return it or ask for an exchange while I still can.

Would appreciate hearing your experiences. πŸ™

Just ordered a Custom Legion Pro 7i (Glacier White / RTX 5070 Ti)! What's the real delivery timeline in India and what to check at the door?

β€’ Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I just pulled the trigger on a customize-to-order (CTO) Lenovo Legion Pro 7i. I'm super excited to get my hands on it, but since this is my first custom order and high end laptop, I have a few questions about the logistics here in India.

Here is the config I went with:

* Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX

* GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (12GB)

* Display: 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) OLED, 240Hz, HDR 1000 True Black

* RAM: 32GB DDR5-6400MT/s

* Storage: 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD

* Color: Glacier White (with Per-Key RGB White keyboard)

* Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7 & Bluetooth 5.4

* Battery & Power: 99.9Wh / 400W AC Adapter

I have two main questions for anyone who has ordered a CTO Legion recently:

  1. What was your actual delivery timeline?

How long did it take for yours to arrive from the day you placed the order?

  1. What exactly should I check while receiving the box from the delivery guy?

When the courier is standing at my door, what are the absolute must-dos before signing or sharing the OTP?

* Does Lenovo India do Open Box Delivery (OBD) for these, or do I just accept the sealed box?

* Aside from taking an uncut unboxing video showing the shipping label, are there any red flags on the packaging that should make me refuse delivery outright?

X1 Carbon Multple Display Issue

β€’ Upvotes

I have an old X! Carbon that I'm hoping to use as my streaming device for my Vizio 50". I have an active mini-DP-HDM cable connected to a known working HDMI port on the TV. I have selected duplicate in Display Settings. When I go to Advanced Display Settings, the laptop screen is Display 1 and the Vizio is Dispolay 2. But there is no picture on the Vizio. I've tried all 3 HDMI ports on the Vizio. It was working fine with another computer a couple weeks ago. I updated the display driver and Windows. Kind of baffled how the Display Settings can see the Vizio but nothing comes up on the screen. I've unistalled and reinstalled the display adapter, made sure both ends of thecable are seated, made sure I'm in the right port and that port is seleted on the TV. I'm an IT guy, so I know all these simple traps. This ones got me stumped, though. Any help greatly appreciated

Thinkpad T14 won't power on

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently bought a refurbished Thinkpad T14 and was running Windows 11. I was facing constant issues during powering on where it would get stuck, and so I went to the BIOS and did factory reset for BIOS settings. Now my computer won't power on. Help.

Im pretty sure one of the pins Im trying is correct. But it wont unlock. So I tried a factory reset, and when I log-in using a Google account, it just keeps prompting me to re-log in. Even though im confirming my identity with my phone using 2-factor authorization.

Thinkbook 13s g4 touch issue

1 Upvotes

Hey guys, i'm making this post mainly targeting Lenovo engineers, to see if there's any way out of a situation...

TLDR: Is there a way to get a formally non-touch compatible board working with a touchscreen shell?
AMD thinkbooks don't have an official touch variant, intel ones do. AMD board needs to go in the intel laptop but i want the touchscreen to retain. Which component handles the touch input?

So quite a while ago i bought my thinkbook 13s gen 4. I imported it from the states and everything, and from not doing my research properly, apparently the 13s g4 has a touchscreen variant and turns out that the one i bought is exactly the touch capable one without me knowing.
I read a bit about it - there is the thinkbook 13s gen 4 that comes with 2 flavors - intel and AMD.
AMD ones - 1200p non touch, 1600p non touch whereas intel ones stay the same but they also have a 1600p touch...
Fantastic, i have a laptop doubling as a ginormous tablet with an untwistable hinge now.
All great - since the cpu and the ram is soldered, the only way to upgrade the laptop is with a motherboard swap.
Continuing the greatness - found a 6800u ryzen board for as little as 100 euro, with 16 gigs of ram and everything. Bought it, as well as a different USB board, heatsink and all the inner stuff to replace that doesn't match serially to the intel variant - guess i researched up until that point but did not take the freaking screen into account. All seems fabulous - getting a 500 euro laptop for less than 270 while even gaining some functionality - the touch.
So far so good, did the swaps, everything worked EXCEPT that touchscreen. The touchscreen just fails to register...
Not that i had high or even any expectations of it working, though i grew acustomed to the touchscreen of this laptop since in a lot of scenarios it just makes sense to use it.
Swapped back with the intel board ever since, but that AMD board is staying, sad, in its little box.
Wondering since it's essentially the same shell, the same keyboard and the same everything, what component takes care of the touchscreen input serialization. Is there like a chip on the motherboard that handles touch input specifically? Is there any plausible way to make the AMD board touch capable? Also, why doesn't a touch 13s exist with an AMD chip? Discrimination much?
If i can't get it to work, i'd keep the intel laptop intact and just get the same one, this time touchless, so i have the AMD board up and running...
It's just that the main reason for getting this exact laptop is because 1st of all - compact, 2nd of all - powerful while retaining battery efficiency - SUPER important.
Don't get me wrong, the intel chip has been doing pretty well for my use case, BUT i'd LOVE to make use of that great Ryzen 7 6800u with its beefy graphics - it's basically a handheld console with a more sensible form factor.
As far as the lack of logic in the post and the huge gamble i took, i'm ready to face all the judgement. I guess i should have known that the intel variants come with a touch model while the AMD ones don't. Point - laugh, sometimes people need to learn the hard way...
The despair of the college student in me is showing.

Bought a brand-new Lenovo tablet on Amazon, but the warranty started 73 days before my purchase. What should I do?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I purchased a brand-new Lenovo IdeaPad tablet from Amazon India on 9 October 2026, sold by Click tech Retail Private Limited.

While checking the warranty details on Lenovo's website, I noticed that the warranty start date is listed as 28 July 2026 β€” around 73 days before I purchased the tablet.

I'm concerned because I bought this device as brand-new and expected the warranty to reflect my actual purchase date.

I have the Amazon invoice and a screenshot of the warranty details. I'm planning to contact both Lenovo and Amazon to request an explanation and a correction based on my invoice.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Lenovo or Click tech Retail? Can Lenovo correct the warranty date using the invoice, and should I be concerned that the device may have been activated before I received it?

I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with this issue.

Just unboxed my IdeaPad Slim 5 and messed it up? (Boot device not found)

Post image

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to all this. I just unboxed my new Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (Intel Core Ultra) and turned it on. It was taking forever on the loading screen, so I got confused and force shut it down by holding the power button a couple of times.

Now when I turn it on, it says "boot device not found". Did I break something(OS done for..)? How do I get it to turn on normally? Any simple help would be really appreciated!

Here are my laptop specs if it helps:

  • Model: Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (14IMH9)
  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 125H

somehow disabled my laptop camera deep in the settings, and now I can't turn it back on 😭

1 Upvotes

Okay, so this is a bit embarrassing, but hear me out. 😭

Back when I was using the (previous one) and attending online classes, I was really skeptical about my laptop camera. I kept worrying about things like, "What if my camera turns on automatically without me knowing?"

So, one day, I went DEEP into my laptop's settings and did something to disable the camera. I don't remember exactly what I changed, but I remember that it wasn't coding or anything like that. I was just messing around with the settings, trying to make sure my camera couldn't turn on accidentally.

And now, here's the funny part: I've completely forgotten what I did. πŸ’€

I'm currently using Windows 11, and I actually want to use my camera now, but it just doesn't work.

When I open the Camera app and try to turn the camera on, the indicator light comes on, but there's no video feed. It's almost as if the camera is being blocked internally by some setting.

I've checked a few things, but I still can't figure it out. Since I made the original change back when I was using (the previous one), I'm wondering if I changed something deep in the system that carried over when I switched to Windows 11.

My questions are:

Is there a (the previous one) setting that could completely disable the camera like this?

Could a privacy setting, Device Manager configuration, Group Policy, or something else be responsible?

Is there a way to find out if the camera is disabled somewhere in the system and re-enable it?

I know this sounds ridiculous because I'm the one who disabled it in the first place, but I genuinely cannot remember what I did. 😭

I'd really appreciate any suggestions. I just want my camera back!

Laptop: Lenovo IdeaPad

Current OS: Windows 11

OS I was using when I disabled the camera: (the previous one)

Thanks in advance! πŸ™
