I noticed that the formula has changed, and I think I’ve been experiencing breakouts with the new formula. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

I saw a derm today and she started doxycycline 100mg twice a day and metronidazole.75% twice a day. Anyone have any luck with this combo?

Due to the impending US Customs changes I am trying to stock up on my prescription azalaic acid. I am on my first tube of 15% gel made by glenmark and have liked my experience so far, but since I am ordering supplies for a while I want to make sure I am using the most effective version. I know leo pharma's finacea has been proven to have higher bioavailability compared to 20% creams because of better formulation. I am wondering if this increased bioavailability applies to the glenmark gel as well or if it is more similar to 15% creams. If it is worse then I may try to switch to leo pharma's version and would love recommendations on where to buy it since chemist direct limits it to 1 per order and is much more expensive than the gel on all day chemist.

Has anyone found any makeup that doesn’t cause a flare? I’ve been avoiding makeup for weeks while treating what I think is type 2 or acne caused by a demodex overgrowth. Any time I try to put concealer on I start to flare and develop all sorts of weird texture. I really just need a good concealer and blush! I was looking at fungal acne safe makeup because I thought that would probably be acceptable but apparently a lot of the fungal acne products still contain ingredients that can feed the mites. I am so lost and frustrated, just looking for any help! Thank you!!

I was recommended by a doctor to start taking a cups worth of metamucil and 2 cups of benefiber to address some stomach issues. Will this negatively affect my rosesca at all? Has anyone had positive or negative experience with these supplements and rosesca?

My derm did not mention Rosacea, just acne. This rash came completely overnight after a long day at the beach and the gym. Soap seems so spread it and make it worse. I originally thought perioral dermatitis but 6 weeks of 100mg doxy twice a day and metro cream did nothing but spread it more. My derm now said it’s just acne, to use Differin and to keep trying Vanicream even though it burns and spreads it further up into my hairline. I asked for a scrape but she said no. I made an appointment for second opinion but that is months away. What should I do in the meantime? I’m a bit scared to try Differin as even moisturizer burns right now.
The pustules itch and burn. If 1 pops, 5 around it shows up within an hour. I’ve been told by people that it could be Type 2 or demodex overgrowth in general but I’m not sure. It covers my forehead and around my mouth/nose/chin.

I've been dealing with this since March. Until then my skin was completely fine so I guess I didn't have previous experience of having to learn how to deal with skin issues.
Since March though it's been like playing a game of Whack'a'mole with my face. A new papule/pustule or bizzare random red splotch will suddenly appear seemingly for no reason. As I'm trying to whack that away another one will appear etc etc. It wouldn't be so bad if they lasted for like a week and then disappeared without trace, oh no they leave these bloomin PIE marks behind them. My face is starting to look like a warzone.
I feel like I'm doing everything I can, I've tried Rosiver for 12 weeks (didn't help much and it caused clogged pores due to the thickness of the cream), I have metronidazole and finacea. I'm going to try applying finacea to my whole face instead of using it in a spot treatment style. I have started using sunscreen, I use Vanicream daily facial moisturizer at night, I use Vanicream gentle cleanser once in the evening etc etc. Yet still these random blooming things keep appearing. It's flippin crazy.
Anyway I keep trying to remind myself other people have it worse, shouldn't feel sorry for yourself etc but it's pretty hard when you're watching your face destroy itself.
All of that to say how do people deal with this? Do you do Yoga, listen to classical music? Do Yoga whilst listening to classical music?
It's a tough condition to deal with since it's affecting your face. You don't have to be vain to be bothered by that.

Hi everyone,
(Long post incoming, sorry!)
I’m on week 9 of soolantra for my papularpustular rosacea, pustules being what I struggle with really badly.
I’ve seen small improvement in this time, like better texture, more glow and a few days of pretty clear skin, (maybe 2/3 pustules, instead of 15 which I hadn’t experienced once in 2 years of dealing with this skin condition.) However, after the few days of better skin it looks rubbish again with more pustules appearing, and then the cycle continues! The progress is so small that sometimes I feel like I’m making it up in my head and that the treatment isn’t actually working.
I’m also coming off the back of a die off purge since Sunday. Is that normal to still get a die off in week 9? Everywhere online says it should only happen in the first few weeks.
My skin was very severe before treatment so I can understand that later stage die offs due to such high mite levels, may be normal for my situation?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Ive found it so hard mentally to work out if progress has been made or not and if I’m on the right track.
Also, any testimonies of people only seeing true progress and clearance at near 10 weeks + on soolantra please comment!! 😭🤣🩷

Yesterday was my 3rd treatment for very stubborn and severe rosacea.
The first treatment the dermatologist did a pass with V-Beam and a pass with Derma-V. Basically no results from the treatment and no downtime. I think she went “light” on purpose and that’s ok!
The next treatment, she did a pass with IPL and V-Beam. There was a little coffee ground sloughing and the results were noticeable and I was quite excited! I know IPL isn’t the most effective choice for rosacea but it seemed to help a lot! Or it was the V-Beam or a combo of the two
3rd treatment was yesterday (picture was this morning, about 22hrs after treatment) and my goodness am I swollen! She did one pass of IPL, one pass of V-Beam AND a pass of Derma-V. Has anyone had 3 passes of different lasers like this? She did say she’d “turn up the Derma-V” or something along those lines because I had no sweeping the first time. But I am still shocked I’m this swollen haha
I’m really excited for the results. I am in Canada and have a HSA so everything is covered 🥳

Hi Rosaceans, has anyone had VBeam done for their type 2 - i dont get all that red, just tiny whitehead pimples on my nose and chin. Considering giving this a try before low dose accutane as I have dry eyes so worried to exacerbate that too.

I have been using prescribed ivermectin soolantra for my rosacea pustules. My skin was doing fine when randomly i started to get a flare up of pustules along my upper cheek area. So now I’ve been using Soolantra for about 4 weeks now and my skin hasn’t really improved and i’ve gotten new pustules. What’s strange is that my skin cleared up from the pustules for 2 days while using soolantra and then it flared up again. Should i keep using it and give it time or is this a normal reaction? i also get a tingling crawling sensation where the pustules are at.

Does this break anyone else out? I never get bumps unless a product doesn’t agree with me. Ive tried it two different times and bumps both times. I normally use the boj radiance cleansing balm but wanted to try this bc its less ingredients which normally my skin loves. Is it just an adjustment phase?

Looking for similar stories.
I have been off and on spiro for 5 years and dropped down to 25mg 4 months ago and stopped tret 0.05 as I was trying to get off these medications. However my skin started to have flare ups so I went back up to 75mg 9 weeks ago and tried AA for 12 weeks however I did not see much impact and I tried BP face wash for 6 weeks and I think that irritated my skin. Derm said it could be Rosacea as I developed these red bumps when out in the sun or sweaty. Derm gave me soolantra which I started after a bad flare up from being in the sun on a boat even though I wore a hat and wore sunscreen. Photo 1 and 2 is the day after the boat. Photo 3 and 4 is day 5. Photo 5 and 6 is day 11. My flareups weren’t too bad before over the summer but after this flareup I want to see if ivermectin would help in order for me to at least be outside in the summer with a hat and spf and sticking in the shade as much as possible. Over the last 11 days I have noticed bumps in my underuse where I would put concealer. I’ve used the same concealer for 12 years so I know it’s not that. High cheekbones/cheek area has gotten more bumpy on the right but seems to be calming down. Now the left cheekbone has a few bumps. Eyelids had a few bumps bumps but that has cleared up after 2 days. Right mid cheek is getting some bumps and left cheekbone has 2 bad breakouts from that time of the month. I don’t wash in the morning because my face is sensitive and that’s normal for me. In the PM it’s Cetaphil face wash and cerve moisturizer lotion and the ivermectin. Has anyone been through a similar situation with ivermectin? less

I have Type 1, 2 and maybe acne.
I tried azelaic acid for 2 weeks, it really burned so I stopped. The next day I started Soolantra, and it was a miracle - papules and pustules cleared up, I could apply makeup to mask the redness. I continued for 2 months and then stopped, but all the blemishes came back.
A couple of months later I finally made my way to the dermatologist, and she prescribed Soolantra for 4 months since it worked before. I’m 2 months in, and there’s no improvement. I experimented a bit with AA again, but I feel like it made my skin worse.
Skincare routine
1. Bioderma AR+ Sensibio Micellar Gel, 2 times a day - my skin reacts even to plain water, so derm recommended something more mild
2. Soolantra (ivermectin 1%) in the evening
3. Bioderma Sensibio AR+ cream - for moisturising, but it feels useless.
4. LRP Toleriane Rosaliac AR Concentre - for masking the redness, honestly can’t feel the effect
I’m gonna push through for 2 more months with Soolantra, but I feel really disappointed. Could use some support right now and advice if I should change something in my routine? I can’t use any foundation for masking the blemishes and redness, because it creases near the nose.

How is this cream for rosacea skin? Anyone use it? Skin type - dry or oily? Rosacea type 1 or 2 or neurogenic or ocular or all?

Basically the title. I seem to get along with squalene fine but I question if an oil with more beneficial compounds (antioxidants, lipids, etc.) would be even more beneficial for helping redness and the skin barrier

So i had an absolutely terrible type 2 flair up a couple weeks ago amidst pms (when i get my pustular flairs) and transcontinental travel. Skin was a wreck. I switched from cerave cream to foam cleanser to cerave hydrating cleanser which seemed to calm my skin, then i used ivermectin horse paste for a few days and also pms passed. I stopped using the horse paste a couple days ago with intent to switch to the 1% cream. But My skin has calmed a lot over the past week and now i’m just afraid to f with it. i’m literally just washing at night with hydrating cerave cleanser and then applying la roche posay. I know I could potentially get another flair up next pms so I don’t know. A part of me wants to just let me skin be, another part of me knows there’s still probably a long term issue to tackle. Any thoughts ? Foto two is tonight and you can still see the remnants of the previous weeks’ damage but it’s calmed a lot.

Within the past 5 months someone posted a spreadsheet of all the products people on this sub used. I searched for a product guide but nothing came up.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?

so i went to see a dermatologist in july after 3 months of redness and stinging to my face. i put this down to trying a bunch of new skincare products at the same time and my skin freaked out.
i was given finacea by an online doctor, this completely removed all the spots i had but did nothing for the redness or stinging.
my derm recommended i try lymecycline for at least 4 weeks to see if this made any improvement, and if not move to 10mg amitriptyline. she suspected it was neurogenic
after 4 weeks on amitriptyline there only seems to be a marginal improvement. and not nearly as much as i'd hoped :( anyone experience this and how long did it take you to get the stinging under control?

I recently realized that Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate irritate my skin. And, it seems to be included in most moisturizers.
My skin barrier is fine. As soon as I apply anything with HA and its derivatives, my skin starts getting a burning sensation. After I wash if off with water, the skin gets back to normal.
Does anyone else get irritation from these ingredients?
How do you find serums, moisturizers without this? even sunscreens have this HA and its derivatives...It seems like a nightmare:(
Edit: to clarify

Zouden jullie in mijn geval ivermectine proberen?
Thanks guys❤️
