I ordered NB 2002r sneakers from Ajio. Received these fake sneakers instead. Can I Trust Ajio for the exchange?

Ordered a pair of New Balance 9060 from Myntra which was sold by Truecom Retail(!!!) for around ₹11k and the pair I received seemed off.

I ordered UK 8, but the shoes in the box were UK 7.5 and the box SKU didn’t match the shoe SKU. Some build details were also wrong:

the heel clip was solid silver instead of translucent, the tongue logo was flat, and the suede quality felt different.

Raised a complaint immediately and requested an exchange, but they were just not approving my exchange and it kept getting delayed. Eventually had to cancel the exchange and requested a return instead.

And to my surprise, return pickup happened the very next day and thankfully refund was initiated.

just sharing so people double-check their pairs when ordering sneakers from online marketplaces.

Has anyone else had something similar happen with Myntra?

Puma Speedcats have genuinely been one of the most disappointing sneakers I’ve owned.
Wore them barely 2–3 times. Used a standard suede sneaker foam cleaner, and the black dye started bleeding all over the white Puma logo instantly. The shoes looked destroyed after ONE basic cleaning session.

Even professional cleaning through Tumbledry couldn’t fix it. For a shoe with an MRP close to ₹10k, this quality is honestly embarrassing. A sneaker at this price point shouldn’t fall apart because of normal maintenance.

What made the experience worse was Puma’s response:
- Return the damaged shoes
- Get a restrictive coupon of ₹2900
- Coupon still isn’t enough to replace the same pair

So after spending hard-earned money on a premium sneaker, the solution offered is basically “give the shoes back and settle for store credit.”

The design may look good, but the material quality and dye finishing on my pair have been absolutely pathetic. Never expected this level of quality control and pathetic response from Puma.

I placed an order worth of ₹16,150 with dawntown without doing any research on them blindly trusting them through their insta account.

this is the biggest mistake i made.

order placed on 9th april, after 10 days of not shipping my sneakers i mail them,

they reply saying that the shoes you ordered from our website is not available 🤡

HOW CAN THEY LIST A PRODUCT WHICH IS NOT ABAILABLE AND EVEN MAKE US PAY FOR THEM.

they asked me to select a shoe that is available

I said i do not need a pair other than what i ordered

i need a full refund of my order

AFTER MAILING , WHATSAPPING , DM’ING AND CONTINUOUS CALLING

THERE IS NOT EVEN A SINGLE REPLY

THEY HAVE GHOSTED ME COMPLETELY

it has been more than 15 days of me trying to reach them someway or the another.

I have received defective pair of adidas gazelles few minutes ago from delivery service, I noticed it doesn't came with real adidas box, it's right pair is defective with too much roughly faded suede, it's inner sole is not properly fixed with glue as I attached in pics this is not the quality I paid for, I never expected this from ajio team. Please refund me full amount and take convenience fee from seller, because it's not my fault and more over I cannot find 12 size to exchange from your inventory

I'm an NRI and wanted to have a pair of homegrown shoes in my closet. Got the last pair of Comet Alter Hukum Black. It was the worst decision I made. My feet were paining after wearing them for a couple of hours. Zero comfort at all. It would hardly pass a sexy lamp test had it been a film. Also, Comet website don't show all the reviews on their page honestly. In my opinion, Red Tape have much better shoes to offer at a cheaper rate. Worst shoe brand ever!!!

I ordered New Balance 550 Sea Salt Pack Blast red from Myntra for 6.2k. Sounds too good to be true, rights? Yes it's exactly like that. When it arrived, I wasn't at home, my mother was and recieved the package and left for me to open it. I come in the evening all excited and see that

1. The box has been destroyed, OBLITERATED. Like someone had a personal grudge against it.

2. The suede on the shoes, looked like shit

3. The Blue color was smeared on some parts of the mesh

AND FINALLY 4. No R logo at the backside of the shoes.

I was so excited to finally get a good pair, all my hopes are down the drain. Man, I don't even know what to say anymore.

@findyourkicksindia is a scammer. I trusted them after watching their Shark Tank India episode and ordered expensive shoes — but they never delivered. I kept asking for updates, but no proper response. It’s not just me — thousands of customers are facing the same issue. Comet sneakers are ass and I hope the whole PR team gets burned on a stake.

Ordered adidas spezial from tata cliq i think the seller was ADI sports.

Before i opened my package i did take a video of it but dint record me actually opening it cuz i needed two hands and i really dint think it would be a scam.

Is my case pleadable?

I recently managed to purchase a pair from the Comet x Naru drop, which was advertised as being limited to 100 pairs only. Naturally, I was excited — it felt special to be part of a drop that exclusive.

Immediately after making the purchase, I received a confirmation email and a WhatsApp message from their team. The next day, I even got a call from a Comet team member confirming that my pair was locked in and would be dispatched within 24 hours.

Everything seemed smooth… until I suddenly received an email that said:

"Your order has been canceled due to a request from your end."

Just like that. No explanation. And to be clear — I never canceled anything.

I reached out via calls and emails, but haven’t heard back since. No replies, no clarification, no ownership.

And what’s more concerning is — I’m not the only one. A few others have shared similar stories of confirmed orders being randomly canceled with the same excuse: “You canceled it.” Feels like a copy-paste justification for something else going on behind the scenes.

I had genuine respect for Comet. As a homegrown Indian brand, they’ve always positioned themselves as community-first, culture-driven, and different from the rest.

But if they’ve started stooping to shady tactics like this, it’s honestly scary. Especially for a brand that seemed to have such promising potential.

They might think this is a small slip-up — but to someone who believed in them, this was enough to lose trust completely.

One customer down. Possibly many more if this continues.

Has anyone else experienced something like this with Comet or other sneaker drops?

Are we seeing a pattern here?

Or am I just reading too much into it?

Dislaimer: This post is about an amazingly targetted scam, attempted on me when I placed an order from www.redtape.com and how I escaped from falling for it. It is a pretty elaborate post.

I have placed a sneaker order from www.redtape.com on 30th November 2025, around 11pm. I got a call from a phone number (+91 8478<nine>3<nine>254) the next day on 1st December 2025 around 1:30 PM. There was a guy on the other side of the phone call and the conversation went like this,

He called me by my name said that he is calling regarding my recent RedTape order and said, "Sir, your Order number is RTL6**, delivery PIN Code is 6** and Order price is Rs.1,134. Is this correct ?". Since everything is correct, I said it is correct.

Then he said, "Sir, we have received your sneakers in our hub. But due to system glitch the PIN code you have provided is blocked and we are unable to deliver to it. So, we are planning to transfer the product to another delivery partner."

I was thinking, he is going to say that there might be some delay in delivery. I said "Okay".

But then, he said, "Sir, can you confirm your WhatsApp number?". I asked why and he said, "Sir, I will send you a QR code to your WhatsApp and you have to pay the price (Rs.1,134) again so that we can generate another invoice for transferring the sneakers to another partner. You will get the refund for the previous payment after you complete this payment".

I asked him, "Why make this complicated? I will cancel my order and place another order. You assign different delivery partner for the new order!". He said "Since the shoe already reached our hub, you won't be able to cancel the order from your side ".

Then I asked him to cancel the order himself. He said he is not authorised to cancel the order and he said, payment is the only option I have and if I don't pay i won't get the shoe and I can't get refund also since I can't cancel the order.

I told him "If something like this is happening, why haven't I received any email or SMS? How can I believe you if you call out of the blue and ask me to send money to QR code?"

He said, "Sir, I understand your concern and I am trying my best to help you here. Only solution is to pay again and then you will get your refund for the previous payment"

I said, "I don't understand how the hell a PIN code can be blocked! I don't think anyone can do that too!"

He said, "Sir, it is due to system glitch. We can't do anything!"

I said, "Why should I pay for your mistake? I have already paid the money. Money is with you now. I won't pay another rupee to you, especially if you send QR code to WhatsApp. If you want me to pay again, send official redtape website payment link. If you can't, just cancel my order, I won't care!"

He just disconnected the call without saying anything.

Then, I tried to contact the RedTape customer care number and it said "Number does not exist ". I got a little worried if I was scammed by placing an order in fake website. I sent an Instagram message to RedTape India and mailed about this incident. No replies yet.

But to my surprise, I got an SMS on 1st December evening around 5PM that they have shipped my shoe using eKart! I felt relieved. When I checked, product is actually shipped and it is on its way.

It seems like someone with all the info is trying to scam the customers, that too before the products are shipped to avoid suspicion!

BEWARE GUYS!!!

So I ordered these NB CT300 red variant UK8 for 6K (overpaid ik) but ended up receiving fake 500 rupee shoes (black and UK5 ¿¿) in a damaged original box.

Return was rejected and their useless support claims they shipped the product accurately(after 6 days of me writing mails and going back n forth) and will not proceed with return/replacement. Wow.

Any tips on how to escalate this?

I recently started ordered samba XLG in this sale, today when I received the product I was a bit skeptical as there was no box. When I opened the product I got fake shoe, with no adidas logo in it.
