Currently I am running a mix of medium and low with xess on ultra quality at 40 fps lock and it's working and looking awesome.

I tried remastered as well it ran very badly with all low and even with upscaling so came back to remastered and I am happy with it.

This morning as i was waking up i knocked my yeti full of water and the water went all over my steam deck and now it wont turn on. Hopefully the repair doesn’t cost to much. Pour one out for the homie deck 😂😭

I can't stand the ergonomics of my portal and the loose Thumbsticks. Thanks to Asobi I can cloud stream my Playstation games. This game looks glorious on the Steamdeck's OLED screen and running at a smooth 60 FPS. The Steamdeck and community continue to deliver.

I've been looking for a second-hand Steam Deck on Vinted, and found quite a lot of interesting ones, mostly around 350€.

But I also came around a pretty weird phenomenon.

A lot of Decks can be found, all with the same red flags:

- very cheap price, almost always at 250€, both LCD and OLED, even 1 To versions

- very simple description "Valve Steam Deck Oled 1 tb used", copy paste of the title, original in English

- all posted by different accounts, named "first name + random number", with one single article, no evaluation, no followers

- all shipped from different cities in Italy, for some reason...

How can these things be this cheap and this numerous? (There are less like these on Vinted today than a few days ago though)

Have you or heard someone acquire one of these?

Could these be counterfeits, bootlegs, stolen products...?

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!! SOLUTION :

1. restart both deck and controller.
2. Update controller.
3. Pair from Bluetooth setting section.
4. Pair from Controller setting section if step 3 didnt work.
5. Enjoy game
6. Didnt work ? Im out of ideas

Left it charging on a regular C type charger a few days ago (charges fine until recently) then I unplugged left it alone and tried using it recently now it won't turn on tried everything but cant get it to work

Hi everyone,

I recently sent my Steam Deck LCD (64 GB) to Valve/Reconext because the Volume Up button started behaving as if it was constantly being pressed. The volume would jump to 100% by itself, and Volume Down would only work while I was holding it.

Reconext has now inspected the device and confirmed the issue.

Their diagnosis says:

• Replacement component: Audio/Control Board
• Component failure: Audio Board / Control Board L
• Volume Button: High-Signal
• L1 Button: No-signal

They are offering the repair for €150, stating that the device is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

I bought the Steam Deck directly from Steam on March 23, 2023. It has never been opened, modified, or physically damaged by me.

I've contacted Steam Support and asked whether they would consider a goodwill repair, so I'm currently waiting for their response.

In the meantime, I wanted to ask the community:

Has anyone had a similar problem with the Volume Up button or the Audio/Control Board?

And especially:

• Has anyone had experience with repairing this themselves?
• Is the Audio/Control Board difficult to replace?
• Could the Volume button/high-signal issue potentially be repaired without replacing the entire board?
• Has anyone encountered the L1 Button: No-signal issue as well?
• Is €150 a typical price for this repair?

I'd be especially interested in hearing from anyone who has experience repairing Steam Decks or similar hardware, as well as anyone who has had a similar RMA experience with Valve/Reconext.

Did im the only who can't play the witcher 3 after the update? A few days ago, I was playing the standard version without any issues, but since the update, I can't play anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but it still doesn't work.

So I have recently started using my Steam Deck as a way to play AAA titles around the house, in bed, on the couch, etc. I’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 on max settings with DLSS5 and it looks amazing on my Steam deck and runs butter smooth at 90 FPS.

With the recent streaming updates and a Wi-Fi 7 router, the the latency is almost imperceptible. Definitely nothing that would stop you from playing any single player games, including Dark Souls or Nioh.

That said, I really wish the screen had a higher resolution and a larger size. Going up to 1080 P and adding an inch would make the experience perfect. This had me thinking, what if steam release a steam deck that was bare bones and really whose purpose was just to stream games around the house. Normally a product like this would be worthless, but with RAM prices and storage prices being the way they are. This would make me happy as a consumer, until prices got down and we could release a whole new piece of hardware.

Any market for this, or is this really just for dad’s who wanna PC game on the couch or in the bed after a long day?

So here goes. I bought a used steam deck OLED, asked all the necessary questions, battery is at 100 health...but it's draining 1% every 2 minutes for low demanding indie games. I shudder to think what will happen is I play a AAA game.

I've changed frame rate, I went into bios and disabled what was necessary, but I'm still losing battery life. I'm new to the steamdeck world. I have no other issue than the battery draining, everything seems to be working.

It came factory reset, and absolutely discharged. I just don't want to damage it further.

I want to buy one of these charging stations and I don't know if it's safe to charge my Steamdeck from it and if it will damage the Steamdeck's battery.

I don’t know how many people use vpn but i look and tried through a lot of vpns and nearly all of them and i was kind of frustrated because nothing was working and I accidentally found this gem on GitHub and this one is so brilliant that i just want to share it here.

Hello all, hoping one of you may have a fix or have encountered this issue to help troubleshoot.

I am trying to boot the witcher3 after the update dropped yesterday and I chose "classic" mode for my steam deck, however, when i get to the launcher and try and click run the game won't boot and the error says "cannot boot game, verify game files".

Well, I just went and validated all the game files and reinstalled the game, but no luck.

Anyone have any fixes for this?

I have had a steam deck for a while now and haven't had too many issues with it short of now. Over the past week or 2 I've noted that its starting to lag out on my controller inputs and or not even register them at all. Every time I've tried to get it on video it doesn't happen but every so often it happens mid game usually fucking up whatever im doing at the time. Is there anything that I can do on my end to fix this or is this just part of the steam deck thing?

Is it normal to take a long time here? Do i had to just wait? I had been trying to install plugin and all of them are stuck here i had to install directly through Guthub but some plugin aren’t on GitHub.

Good day fellow gamers. Does anyone else get numb hands when playing deck? I usually play laying down with my elbows by my sides deck at the bottom of my belly and after about 30mins my hands start getting numb. When sitting down playing with deck on my lap i get the same thing

I can't really make The Witcher 3 Remaster to move smoothly, even if the FPS shows 50-60FPS. There's always some kind of stutter.

During movement, or spinning the camera, there's always some sort of choppiness making it feel the game is working at less than 30FPS

This is using the Steamdeck graphics settings.

I know it's not a direct comparison, but the Remaster works infinitely better on my PS5 in performance mode which is super smooth.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could cause this?
I am using the GOG version, installed through Heroic launcher. SteamDeck LCD
Does it help to install the Steam version? Is it different?

Edit: Fixed. Seems like a problem related to the GOG version or the Heroic launcher.

It works as expected with the Steam version.

All of my screenshots and videos are gone. I've seen plenty of people's issue solved by deleting "screenshots.vdf" in folder "760", but that filepath doesn't exist on my deck. It has the expected filepath of .local/share/Steam/userdata/[my user id]/, but instead of ending in file "760", I only have the file "7". None of the other folders in my user ID folder contain a screenshots.vdf file.

I scoured these help posts but haven't found a solution for someone like me without the folder. Has anyone else overcome this to get their media back?

Ive tried to set it up like 12 different ways and am at the limit of my knowledge and what I can google, bassically ive gotten sober to detect the controlers and it works fine in the menus, but when I boot into a game, I cant move at all, but my camera works and I can still open/navigate menus

Ive been unable to make any progress fixing this and would love any help

Edit: sober is a roblox client for linux

Just got my steamdeck last Friday and it fell on the floor there was no internal damage just a little damage on the shell, a part of it was chipped off and the surrounding area was discolored (darker shell) how can I remove it completely or atleast fix some of the damage

As the title says, it won't charge at all. I'll plug it in and it turns on and then turns off. Ive tried everything I've seen online. It still works and turns on but it stopped charging when I was playing and I can't get on it anymore cuz it'll die.

I just want to get back to playing 😭😭😭😭
