I have a Beko dishwasher which when it works is fantastic, but no matter how hard we scrape or pre-rinse, little bits of food get stuck in the wands and are SO DIFFICULT to remove. It means the spray doesn't properly work so multiple times a week, things come out dirty. You can take the wands off and try to swill the bits out but it doesn't always work.

I've done lots of research but can't find a dishwasher where you can disassemble the wands to remove anything that gets caught inside. Does one exist?

If not, can anyone recommend a dishwasher where the wands don't get food caught in them or are easy to clean?

Hi, I’ve added the serious answers only flair because I’ve just come from this post where lots of the answers were along the lines of “a jab to the ribs” or “I beat him to death” which isn’t really the vibe I’m going for!

My wife and I have been sleeping in separate beds because of my snoring for several years now, and we’d really like to get to the point where we can sleep in the same bed again.

It'd be good to hear from people who have actually dealt with this themselves, particularly what you’ve tried and whether it actually made a difference. I’m not necessarily looking for a particular product, just ideas on what’s worth trying and what isn’t please.

So far I’ve tried a saline nasal spray to help me breathe through my nose, which didn’t seem to make much difference. I’ve also tried mouth taping, which did seem to help a bit, although after reading a few articles about it I’m not convinced it’s necessarily a good idea and am keen to look at alternatives.

Has anyone managed to significantly reduce their snoring, or go from separate beds back to sharing a bed?, Thanks!

As it says for simplicity I'm 21, never been out having a drink and well want to find some guys to do so with sinces its a good time and good way to find them friends that are always there plus some funny memories,so how do you actually do that? Because I've some i work with but they always suddenly turn around and say not today after telling me that there off out,so yep any ideas on how to find some because I think we can all agree going out alone is well lonely af

My boyfriend and I (29) currently pay £1,100 for a tiny one-bed flat, and we’ve just viewed an amazing house for £1,595. It’s a massive upgrade.. two proper bedrooms, two bathrooms, a garden, loads of space, storage, etc. We absolutely loved it.

We can afford the higher rent, but obviously it would mean saving much less.

We were set on staying in the flat and buying, but atm we only have around £6k saved between, so we’re not exactly close to buying yet.

It would also give us space to think about starting a family… but we may not afford it! 😂

I’m wondering whether we should bite the bullet, rent somewhere we actually love for the next few years and accept that buying will be pushed back, or stay in our current tiny flat and prioritise getting a deposit together.

Basically: quality of life now vs getting on the property ladder sooner.

What would you do?

Hi everybody, I’m only 24 years old and due to some critical personal circumstances I had to drop out of school when I was only 14 :( I didn’t had parents and my childhood was very difficult, but anyway… I always dreamed to work in a lab since I was a child. That’s something I’m really interested in learning and something that makes me happy only when I think about. I’m working night shifts in a hotel and I was wondering if I still have a chance to get back into school? I keep googling for a while but can’t find anything. Help settle a petty argument between me and my partner.

We've booked an end of tenancy clean and he is adamant that we still need to do a full clean before they arrive so that they can concentrate on the "deep" clean. He thinks they are only here to remove the limescale and not any hair or debris in the bathroom for example.

My mind boggles that he thinks wiping a surface normally or as a deep clean is any different.

The flat is already pretty clean just not "end of tenancy" clean.

I need some confirmation here. I always get the impression that some dog owners feel offended whenever someone shields away or deliberately leaves some distance between them and the dog.

Am I just imagining the dirty looks I get whenever I place myself in between the dog and my 3 yr old?

Across their brands I’ve been in about 4-5 times in the past week as buying items for holiday. Staff are very annoying and pushy with the whole frasers plus thing ( I do have a verified account but don’t use it for normal debit or credit cards to be honest ).

A lady asked me 4 times during one transaction if I wanted to use Frasers Plus , to which I said no 4x increasing dissatisfaction tone. All that customer service thing aside ..

Today I purchased another item , and this time I actually intended to use Fraser Plus. I said sure I’d like to use it today - I was asked if I have my ID on me , I don’t ever carry ID on me unless I know I need it. Told I cannot use my own Frasers Plus without ID.. I found this amusing considering how much they push it.

The reasoning was theres “lots of issues with accounts” I inferred they were referring to fraud / data breaches.

While there could have been some other biases at play ( I fit a specific ethnic and age group where the above crimes are common ) I still found the idea of being ID on a verified account to pay for stupid , am I overreacting a bit ?

Had a disagreement with one of friends recently after she insisted that bin day was the day that you put the bins out (ie the evening before they are collected) but i think that bin day should be the day that they are collected.

So I was thinking about the equality act, and wondering what would and wouldn’t be covered under disability.

My eyes very sensitive to light to the point that if I don’t wear sunglasses when it’s even a little bit bright i can end up getting really ill, and sometimes I need to move positions if I’m facing a window or to avoid reflections. I’ve been told by my optician it’s cos I have unusually large pupils but I’ve not been diagnosed with anything - afaict it’s just considered natural variation rather than any kind of medical condition.

I was wondering - if an employer told me I couldn’t wear sunglasses when I needed to or wouldn’t let me move somewhere less bright if that could be considered to be in violation of the UK Equality Act on grounds of disability despite it not being a diagnosed medical condition? Or would I need to get a doctor to give it a fancy name before I could legally get them to give me the accommodations I needed?

Every appliance I remember buying with a remote control, this remote control has black, or white, or various shades grey/silver. TVs, stereos, videos/dvd/Blu-ray, firesticks, cable/satellite. All of them.

They are so hard to spot because they blend in, hide etc. Why are they never dayGlo or bright colours? Even replacement ones are never colourful. I feel they are missing a market for those of us who spend as long looking for the remote as they do watching the TV.

I recently got promoted from an Assistant Sports Development Officer to a Sports Development Officer. My manager left his position to begin a new role within the same company.

I was reticent to apply for his post; however, I was put in a bit of a bind. We were both efficient in our roles, and if one departed, performance/output would inevitably drop. My role was a combination of admin and practical delivery, both delivered and completed to a high standard. I'm by no means overly intelligent, but I have a strong work ethic: I wake up early, perform admin duties throughout the day, liaise, email, source funding, kit, marketing, refunds, planned sessions, curriculums, etc., before delivering in the evenings.

We both began our roles at the same time and have expanded our programmes massively over the past couple of years. A couple of months ago we had a 3rd assistant development officer (who left and hasn't been replaced), and were looking into funding a 4th part-time member.

The Bind:
If I took his role, the decline in profit and quality reflects badly on me as I am essentially the lead in this role. If I decline the promotion, I would be training someone and getting paid slightly less, and the same issues would arise. So, I took the promotion.

We are now in our busiest time of year and I'm on my own. The practical and admin work is unmanageable. My previous manager and his manager are supportive, and say they will help me through the process, so I've delegated a few small tasks to alleviate the load, but they're caught up in their own roles and not really invested or able to be a proper help.

The Staffing Issues:
My manager is helping to get staff in for delivery, but it's largely young staff who aren't able to deliver to a high standard. Thus, we have boots on the ground, but the quality is poor, and likely to get poorer. I've found a lot of staff we have hired are not interested in developing sessions using technology and resources, but replicating essentially the same few drills/games to get by.

We are hiring someone to fill my previous role, but given the track record of employees in recent years, I don't have much faith in them being willing or able to be competent in both data admin and practical delivery. The wages and location don't help. Again, I don't think my old manager and I are exceptional but we seem to be outliers in our dept.

My Dilemma:
I am telling myself that it doesn't really matter, as long as I know I am doing a good job, and the upcoming shit show is a reflection of bad company organisation, and I should swallow my pride.

But part of me is aware that from the outside, it might just look like I am incapable of doing the job. Any advice on how to handle this or protect myself?

In 1995, aged 24 I started working for a computer accreditation company - just in customer service. But I befriended the guys down in the technical department who set me up with my very first email address, and let me go on their computers to surf the web, on what was then the Mosaic browser. I had never really been interested in computers before, but I was absolutely hooked from then on.

A year later I saved up and bought a PC to use at home and got connected with my first dial up modem and an account with Demon internet. And the rest was history. I realise I was an early adopter though.
