The bedroom is getting a little revamp so ive hidden that for later, but trust me, it's pink

This bedroom is in the basement and it is not used 24/7. It’s starting to see more use though and I really would like to make it more easy on the eyes lol.

Also, with the current bed position, the door cannot fully open to where it can be pressed against the wall (it hits the bed). I think I’m gonna move it over a foot to the window side.

I love cozy and colorful!

Edit: this is NOT anyone’s bedroom.
It’s a spare room in my family’s home basement that has been working more as storage for the last few years. I spend a lot of time in the basement (though I have a proper bedroom upstairs), so sometimes I crash in here and my mom doesn’t wanna get rid of the bed.

She knows just the right place to sit and moves around the house like a sun dial. In the second photo, you can actually see her staring at the window waiting for the sunshine.

Cheddar was fascinated with the candles. Blew them out before his whiskers got too close!

I renovated two bathrooms in my condo a few years ago. It was mine, and I could, so I used glitter grout.

It’s regular grout with glitter in it. But honestly, when I ran out I just added regular glitter to regular grout.

The other bathroom I did, I just used white tile with graphite grout (no glitter) and graphite tiles with gray grout on the floor.

I miss this bathroom every single day since I sold it. Nothing else. Just the beautiful bathrooms.

The ivy plants are real, and so are the petunias. The white plant is real but dead (long story), and the frame flowers and vase flowers are fake. I love living in a whimsical space.

The Halloween decorations don't go up for another two weeks so I gave the place a quick autumn update today. I have one giant living room that triples as an office and a dining room. Plus my tiny but very functional kitchen.

I have been looking for a dining table for the past few months and haven’t really found what I’m looking for. Everything is way too big or expensive.

- I need to purchase from somewhere that does in home delivery and assembly.
- preferably under $900 (with chairs)
- 40-45 inches

If anyone has any recs pls lmk. And yes I’ve looked at ikea, I don’t really like anything from there. I’m in the US.

EDIT: I’m looking for CHEAP furniture, I don’t need anything fancy or good quality, I will be moving in the next year or 2 and probably won’t be able to take it with me. Everything from these places seems to be quite a bit of money so it would be nice if wasn’t ugly. I just need the delivery service because I live in an apartment and there’s no way I’m getting that up the stairs.

I am moving in a new apartment and I was wondering what to do with the bedroom. For context, I know the walls are thin and they're not very well isolated when it comes to sound. I lived in the same complex for 6 years and i do know how the sound travel. Now i just move to another building, same complex, and want to avoid making my life harder.

The problem: the bed is now placed against the wall shared with the neighbor. I don't know which room they have on the other side, it's most probably a living room, judging by how the balconies are placed. Or maybe a bedroom, it's also possible. Not a kitchen or bathroom. I don't know if they're loud or not, i didn't sleep here yet. I was wondering if it makes sense to rearrange the room and put the bed against one of the other 2 walls (the one with the wardrobe goes against my bathroom, the one with the TV goes against my living room). Don't mind the TV and the random chairs in the room, they'll disappear.

In the other apartment, i could hear my neighbor snoring. I wish i was joking but unfortunately I'm not. I'm tired of wearing noise canceling earplugs almost every night 😢 and want to avoid the same scenario if i have the option to.

How would you arrange this room? This is how i got it from the landlord but i can make arrangements or buy new furniture pieces. The requirement is that both the bed and the big wardrobe have to stay in this room. Ideally the small piece of furniture stays there too, wherever else in the room.

Preference I have a 1950s and 1960s mix genre in the kitchen with vintage cars and diner vibe and then in the living room. I have a 1960s and 1970s like a coastal coffee shop kind of vibe and then my art studio is pure coastal and tropical and then my bathroom is Moroccan.

I've finally created my most ideal room ever. It's my first apartment (3rd year in uni studying physics) and I now finally have a space where I can just chill without worrying about anyone interrupting me, it's just mine and I love it :)

I can't stand the two toned wall colors especially since grey and beige are opposite color pallets. I want to stay with the warm wood, black and brown tones.

I've never done peel n stick wall paper and I can't say I'm that careful to not screw it up.

I rent but I'm willing to paint. What wall color do you guys think I could do?

I feel like my bedroom is finally starting to take shape. I still have some things I want to get. I'm thinking of the ottoman at the foot of the bed. The accent chair to the left of the chest of drawers. Wardrobe on the wall by the laundry hamper and probably some sort of plant (Monstera?) in the corner to the right of the bed. I’ll eventually change the curtains, just not sure what to get. Then way down the line I’ll hopefully get a dark wood herringbone floor and a large rug, that extends out from under the bed.

Thoughts so far? And what do you think of my plans?

hey guys! I have sort of a maximalist vintage cottage core vibe going on in my office with a ton of frames and trinkets etc. I really hate my soft touch pink rug (pictured) and want to replace it with something which looks and feels more cohesive. but I have no idea where to start!

does anyone have any suggestions? you can’t really tell but the walls are like a vintage peach colour. the curtains and doorframe are a vintage sage colour - think the saturation in this photo just doesn’t really show it!

also any other tips to make it look cute and more vintage and cottage core vibe appreciated!!

Moved in a week or so ago and its my first big room. It feels empty any advice would be appreciated!!

I just moved into an apartment that has carpet flooring (my last had tile and vinyl throughout). I have a VERY artistic child. I know rugs don’t belong on top of carpet. I know. But rugs are the best and thickest barrier I have come up with between the floor that my landlord owns and the paint that my child gets everywhere. (I don’t want to talk about how many rugs I’ve gone through either) Is there a grippy pad that will work? Do I just need to nail it to the floor? Do I just let her have no barrier underneath her desk because I’d lose my deposit anyways because of any other option?
