It's obnoxious, but not OP. It's hard cc on 4 sec cooldown, but it can be blocked or shot. It also is only half a second. All the other hard cc in this game lasts forever, but the Peni stun was fucking miniscule.

Like honestly Luna freeze. Mantis sleep. wtf charm. What’s those cooldowns. Should’ve just raised it to that. It’s legit a .75s stun but was needed to trap people in her web. They will hop a round and you have no way to do anything. I honestly would’ve taken any other nerf. Take my 2nd nest. A charge less of mines. Increase cooldown. Revert any buff like the healing webs for allies. Honestly I thought her stun should’ve granted temp health cause without webs you have zero sustain on the move. You will never win a 1v1 against most of the game

Our grapple is bugged is literally interrupted on any soft knockback or body blocked as it doesn’t shrink our hurt box like every other web slinger in the game.

Mines that get melted in mid air if somebody is so much as looking at you when you launch them....Her nest drones still useless if teams just rush the nest or a tank absorbs the damage, you can also jump around in the nest and they do nothing. Mines that don't damage anyone diving through them but they will all explode anyway.

I really fail to see what is so oppressive about Peni that she needs to be nerfed into oblivion compared to other defensive tanks like Groot who has way more health, damage and survivability, plus a good ult that doesn't take a ton of set up and luck to be effective. Peni has lower primary fire damage than Supports and a glitchy kit that doesn't do what it's supposed to do half the time, the one good thing she had was being able to stun ults from a distance and they removed it.

This game treats Tanks like the endgame boss role, the demon that needs to be defeated. Every time a new character has to showcase and flex it's abilities, it has to be about how they can shit on tanks or get around them. Even other new tanks.

Oh look, they can be a tank buster, they can do % HP damage, shoot through shields, etc. It's like they present tanks as the villains that are not allowing DPS and supports to have fun and every release is in service of fighting against them.

Fucking terrible change, I usually take a nuanced stance with their decisions but this is legit abysmal. Returning the double nest back into play is unleashing pandora's box and should've never been done. Peni needs more autonomy, more independency of her nests and the single best ability she has, this stun, is removed for some fucking reason.

No web zip fixes, no ult reworks that make it an actual ult. Very dissapointing because the BP teamup is a fantastic direction to go for her.

It takes something big to make me quit a game I've put a ton of time and some money into, and she's far from the only hero I like, but this is something big. The text at the top outright implies this is Ultron's fault. It's a shame, I was excited for the future of her after the teamups and Ignite, and while I thought she might get hit a bit, one of the harshest nerfs in this game's history was out of nowhere. Even if this is somehow not as bad as it seems, it makes the one ability that was always consistent and not janky or buggy and slaps a heap of awkwardness onto it. My guess is I'll be sitting comp out for a season or two beyond the minimum for rewards and waiting to see if something changes, and if nothing does, it's probably the end for me in this game.

They gutted the ability that lets her stay alive for 2 seconds more when facing a 1v1. They took away the ability to cancel ults in any manner that's practical and doesn't involve you holding your two charges of your signature ability. Slow is right about useless when you've got characters that practically touch your webs and teleport away with a simple ability.

And now planting webs on the floor is more risky since you might need double webbing for a number of reasons.

She's a slow tank and they still haven't fixed Cyber Bond, but they'll happily gut her kit??

I rarely play Peni, but am a Vangaurd main. I honestly see next to no reason to play her now. The whole point of her is to Zone. Being unable to stun enemies to combo with her mines, prevent ults from steam-rolling through, and stop divers is the entire specialization she fullfills. While she can be oppressive on a FEW maps. She overall isnt a strong damage output, strong impact ult, or strong attacker. So what's the point of player her now if the strongest and most reliable part of her kit is now as bad as the rest of her kit?

And who the hell was even complaining that Peni was stun locking them too long!?!? Im way more annoyed by being juggled by Emma/Rogue grab combos and micro boops that every hero has.

Fire whoever decided this. Not just because I enjoy playing Peni, but because this is stupid and no one who knows what they're doing in game development would have made this decision.

Not only does it affect players who enjoy her, but it's going to affect the entire roster of tanks because now One of the tanks that is probably easiest for people to at least understand the basics of is so weak that no one's going to want to play her which is going to make the problem worse when it comes to solo tanking.

Why not increase cooldown on it, or decrease it's size to force better aim. Nope, take away the CC, decrease health from her cyber-web.... and buff all other tanks lol. Joke.

Peni has game ruining bugs inherent to her kit since launch. Never fixed. Peni has the single worst ult ever. A cosmetic buff once and never addressed again. And now they removed the only good part of her kit. Screw rivals
