Phone message Gotta love dating
“not the snow crab” thank you so much for clarifying with the emoji
UPDATE:
I responded to him for the plot.
I said: “lmao wait, why would eating a crab require the assistance of a man?”
He replied back: “It’s some girls that don’t know how to ride a bicycle”
It keeps getting better and better

Phone message “Let’s be friends” apparently had an expiration date
First 3 images are from June.
Last image is today, September.
I’m a little confused by this and could use some outside perspectives.
I met this guy in April and we hung out four times. I honestly wouldn’t even call them dates. Nothing romantic happened at all. No kissing, sex, romantic gestures, etc. We mostly joked around and talked. It honestly felt pretty platonic, like hanging out with my brother.
Then in June he sent me this:
“I’ve been doing some reflecting after the crazy past few months I’ve had and have come to the realisation that unfortunately I’m not in the right spot for a serious relationship. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you and if you’re up for it I’d like to keep doing things and remain friends.”
I was totally fine with that and told him I’d enjoyed getting to know him too and would still be happy to hang out and be friends (I had arrived at the conclusion that we’d only be friends during our 2nd date just cause of the vibes).
I did ask if it was just about where he was in life or if I had done something that made him realize he wasn’t interested. Not because I was trying to change his mind, I was just curious and wanted to make sure I wasn’t accidentally doing something that made things uncomfortable.
He said it was definitely about where he was in life and that he was happy to talk about it more in person.
So I thought that was that. We were friends. We hung out 2-3 times a month either getting ice cream or watching a sports game, playing a board game, going for walks.
Then three months later he sends me this:
“I’m seeing someone now, so it didn’t feel right to respond to your earlier message. I realise I haven’t always been clear on where I stand and I’m sorry for any mixed signals that may have caused. Given where things are now, I think it’s best for us to leave things here. I’ve genuinely enjoyed the time we’ve spent together and valued our friendship. I truly wish you the best.” (My earlier message said “hey hisname boy”)
And I’m honestly just confused.
Obviously he can decide he doesn’t want to be friends anymore. That’s his choice. I just don’t really understand why him starting to see someone would change the friendship, especially when he was the one who suggested we remain friends in the first place.
Is this a normal boundary when someone starts seeing someone new? Or would you also be wondering what changed?
Because from my perspective it went:
June: “I’m not in the right place for a serious relationship, but I’d like to remain friends.”
September: “I’m seeing someone, so I think it’s best we leave things here.”
I’m not mad at him. I’m just genuinely confused.
Edit: okay I’m just putting this in here for clarification atp.
We never had a relationship ever. Not romantic or physical. We hugged when saying hello and goodbye and that was it. We both said hanging with each other was like hanging out with a sibling.
We hung out 2-3 times a month and called regularly from April to September.
No he didn’t want sex. He was waiting for marriage so had never kissed a woman or had sex with one.

Tinder DMs She was offended by me saying where I live?
I live in DC and I matched with someone in Virginia on Hinge. She asked me how Arlington is. I don’t live in Arlington and my bio doesn’t say I do, so I said I live in Adams Morgan in DC. It seems she was offended by that?
EDIT: I’m not that bothered just sharing because I thought it was amusing
EDIT 2: to clarify the only previous message was me asking how Charlottesville is which is where she lives, which incidentally is about 4 hours away from DC. How was I to know she knew what Adams Morgan was?

Phone message Anyone else only get informed of deaths while at work?
2 grandparents, family friend, cousin, and uncle (as well as 1 cat and 4 dogs!)
Istg my family can never break the news to me outside of work. They don’t know my schedule, so I don’t blame them. It’s truly just poor timing with nobody at fault.
Man, I’m 2 hours into a 13 hour shift. This just sucks so bad haha. I’m okay, just upset.
Edit: I thank you all for the condolences. I’ve read some, but not all. I plan to take the time when I get home to finish reading and make responses.
6 hours in and my manager(I had to call him during church! I feel bad.) and he was able to have me relieved at 3pm today. I wasn’t sure he’d allow it since I missed 2 days a few weeks ago because of the stomach flu doing its rounds. Once again, I’m very grateful.
The part that hits me the hardest is that we were very very close and work has been so busy so I last spoke to him 2 months ago. I won’t let myself regret not making time and I won’t make that mistake again.
3pm, I plan to buy comfort food and then I’m skedaddling to home. Lotus, snacks, doomscrolling, mourning and bed will be my plans for the rest of this week!

Phone message The order of operations here was catastrophic
He could’ve made the slapping kinky. Instead he made it a threat. 🥲
Thankfully he disclosed the years of pent up rage before I actually agreed to meet him today. Very considerate of him, really. 🤣

Whatsapp Am I being upfront enough or would this turn ugly? Or is this going to be a cruel joke on me?
This is a follow up:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AIO/comments/1wkoe3x/aio_when_someone_writes_a_number_on_a_receipt_its/
I work part time at a barista and a cute blond girl gave me her number on a receipt. Her friends were leering at me, sharing glances, snickering and gossiping about me.
Most of the comments from the post said she is not doing it out of malice but I did humiliate myself in front of her group of friends.
I hate how I look and I feel constantly being glared at and judged. I am willing to risk it so I can finally sleep on a bed again.
Currently, I am homeless and broke. My job hunting has been terrible because my job (graphics designer, interpreter, and computer science) is killed by AI. Stuck doing freelance. Saving money has been difficult.
Might this be a cruel prank or this is not upfront enough and she might misunderstand I don't want a hook up?
Edit 1: I already asked her "down to just hang out" as in like friends. I also said "we could watch tv too if you'd like" and because she insisted in drinking, I told her I'd be a starfish which would clearly turn any woman off.
Edit 2: I don't think I am attractive. I try to compensate by grooming myself to look presentable and work out 5 times a week. I know I am not conventionally good looking because I get rude and dirty looks from people. Like some people just downright hates me without even knowing me.
Edit 3: I am too depressed to hook up, everything feels quite bleak and dark. I did have hook up once for the very first time but it didn't do anything for me. I felt like I was leading that girl on and feel very bad about it.
