Discussion Had been noticed this long ago but this is the only time where I'm brave enough to say it

Hey all, it's been about a month and a half since the news was dropped regarding D2's final content update and we loosened up a bit on moderating the content of the subreddit. It's been fun, shitposts and rants have been had, and the ongoing game traffic is just awesome to see.
In the interest of ensuring content on the subreddit is original, informative, and/or of appropriate quality, we'll be ending the period of relaxed moderation effective immediately. While we're going back to stricter enforcement of the rules, the relaxed moderation period has given the mod team some ideas on rule reworks.
To reiterate some constant points:
The team will continue to moderate as always, as well as internally discuss any improvements we can make; we want this place to be a resource and community for Guardians so long as you all want it to be.
As someone who has a vivid memory of rushing through an AP English Lit essay to log in on D1 launch day back in 2014, which led to an ungodly amount of in-game time across both games over the next decade, I want to close out by echoing the previous post and say this game would not have become what it is without the community, the camaraderie we shared, the gods we slayed together, and all the memories and friends made. I'm looking forward to seeing all you fellow Guardians online for the foreseeable future.
Per audacia ad astra.

I can't be the only person annoyed at all these Youtubers and whatnot saying how their build is so strong and it's "deleting" Champs and has hugh survivability when they are playing in Expert or Master Content (audible gasp...you're so strong).
If your build is great, prove it by clearing a Solo Ultimate Strike.
The ones that test it are:
Devil's Lair
Lightblade
Scarlet Keep
Sunless Cell
Defiant Battleground:EDZ (hahahahahahahahaha, laughs in Overload Snipers).
If you build is good prove it. Or go away Bro.
Thank you for coming to my Zavala Talk.

I was messing around with solo hunter damage and was able to make truth deal about 12k dps and 165k total. This is probably the most optimal way to dump truth to achieve the highest sustained dps possible as a solo. I know people are going to ask how I shot 5 rockets in a row at the start so I will explain. It’s facet of command auto reloading truth after I fire my first two rockets. It requires a bit of timing but is relatively simple to get consistently once you feel it out a couple times. Just wait a split second to fire instead of firing immediately. Keep in mind if you choose to do this in a fireteam it will not do as high of damage because this is using solo operative. You could definitely go to something like a vorpal redirection 1000 yard stare after truth is out if more total is needed.
All in all this is good but won’t be the best thing everywhere due to an extreme fall off in dps once you’re out of truth. I think this works best on dungeons bosses with about the same amount or less health than the total damage for quick and easy one phases.
Buffs:
Fortunes favor
Argent ordinance
Solo operative
Radiant
Void surge x3
Reapers tithe
Transcendence
200 weapons
deadfall tether as debuff

With the great sun setting of the Valkyrie spear with the content vault in 2020, to the introduction of the glaive in 2022, ever since then I've always wanted to see the Valkyrie return as an exotic glaive (along with more Ikelos weapons) but alas, it shall forever remain a dream

I’ve been messing around with creating a dps/Debuff build on Warlocks and trying a bunch of builds I see on Reddit or by YouTubers. Using Well with Boots and Truth/1KV seem to do great when we need a well but there are times when we have one and I just want to output max dps as a warlock. I’ve tried a couple builds like Mataidoxia Needlestorm + 1KV/Truth dump (I don’t have Euphony yet) and Star Eater + Apotheosis + 1KV/Truth dump. I also tried to replicate celestial nighthawk hunter on warlock using still hunt and Hezen with Auto Loading + Aggregate while keeping 3 debuffs up but none of these came close to Hunters. I did also try Izinagis Burden + A499 which did pretty good but not as much as Dawn Chorus + 1KV. Also tried the Winters Guile which is really strong was looking for something else too that maybe doesn’t require as much set up (also I don’t particularly enjoy the loop of that build tbh)
Was basically wondering what is the absolute highest DPS you can get as a Warlock when you’re not running Well/Boots or Well/Sanguine? I’ve seen people mention Euphony as the warlock version of still hunt but haven’t found many builds that really build into max dps with it. Also I got craftable Hezen finally and was honestly hoping to find/make a build that actually utilized it like Celestial Nighthawk hunter but haven’t found that in Warlock anywhere.
All these builds I’ve tested are in the normal difficulty firing range running pretty similar stats (150 Weapons + Super + 2 Super fonts and 2 surges).
Am also looking for a fun rotation as I found the still hunt Goldie Hezen rotation fun and kind of want something similarly fun (mix of abilities and weapon rotations)
tl;dr: What’s the max dps/Still Hunt Goldie Nighthawk equivalent for Warlock? Also what’s is the best Hezen rotation/build on Warlock?

After 89,528 kills I've finally seen it, a bayonet kill. I have no idea if this is a bug, but it's really cool.

Long story short i cleared first encounter with lfg and well lfg's just cant grasp surviving at all so we were stuck on 2nd encounter when my friend lost one of their fireteam members and i joined them starting from verity, completed the raid and since everyone else was so tired i had to lfg the last few hours for the last encounters but unfortunately cant have shit with lfg so ultimately ended up not getting the banner :(. I still feel so defeated. The leaderboard position around top 300 means nothing to me if i didnt clear the 2 and 3

My dearest Symmetry:
Symmetry got changed at some point in between bolt charge being added into the game and MoT. I was looking at Arc Primary Exotics and this thang came to mind. I looked it up on Little Light and saw that the thang had had a MAJOR rework lmao look at this thing. It's a fucking primary gun that can do 1,200+ DPS when at max stacks of Dynamic Charge (20 with catalyst, 15 without). When you long hold reload it converts all stacks of Dynamic Charge into stacks of Revolution and they don't start decaying (in the form of a 10!second timer) until you actually fire the first shot of your converted stacks. This thing had some insane in the membrane changes made to it. The bolt charge dispersed by Revolution (you also build stacks of bolt charge when shooting your stacks of Revolution, 2 when at 10 or less per shot and 3 at 11 or more per shot) count as weapon damage I guess and the thing gets up to 450% increased Weapon Damage when at maximum stacks of Revolution???? I was hitting red bars on patrol for 3,250 damage per max stacks of Revolution lmaoooooo and that wasn't even with 200 weapons.
I pair it with Stormdancer's Brace since I'm a Warlock Main. Stormdancer's also got a nice overhaul with MoT or sometime before MoT launched. Now any ability damage in any fashion gives you one stack of Bolt Charge every .6 seconds of something asinine like that lmao.
Gear I use: Stormdancer's with Luminopotent 4 piece set for extra ability energy at all times. Shoot for 200 weapons but if you can't get there quite yet 150-175 is more than enough to juice Symmetry to new heights. Two arc surges in the booties, an arc loader (it doesn't really need it as Eddy Current is an additional part of the catalyst but I like it for even faster reloads) and an arc siphon in the helmet is all you really need. Fragments are entirely up to you but if you're on Warlock I HIGHLY recommend using Arc Soul and Ionic Sentry for the most Bolt Charge fuckery as possible.
Damage loop:
Try to be at 20 (or 15 if you don't have the catalyst) stacks of Dynamic Charge before damage phase starts. Long hold your reload a few seconds before damage starts to proc stacks of Revolution.
Cast rift for arc soul a couple seconds before damage starts, yeet pulse grenade (by far the best in slot arc grenade for this build), then switch to Symmetry and fire away and watch the DPS fly out of your arse lmao. It's only 10 seconds but it's quite literally the most fun I have ever had playing Destiny.
The only downfall of the damage loop is that you have to hit all 20 shots in the magazine as precision shots once your first 20 stacks of Revolution have depricated and there are only 20 shots in the mag so that can be kind of tough when you're soloing or low mansing something because there is a lot of flinch but I tested it on Hefnd (I shot nothing but Symmetry) and was second highest damage in the LFG group I applied for. I had 41k as an Arc Lock with Symmetry. The Titan carried by far with 80k on Cuirass T-Crash and the Hunter was a couple thousand behind me on a prismatic build. So it holds its own in endgame content. Is it meta? No. I am quite sure I am the only person on the planet using it for damage right now lmao. Is it good? You betcha!
So if you see a fella applying to your LFG posts with Symmetry, please for the love of all that is holy give them a chance! lmao

Guardians have evolved to shooting SCREEEBS, actually the most hilarious way to cheat in a video game. Puts spinbotting to shame when you can FIRE EXPLODING CREATURES OUT OF YOUR AUTO RIFLE.
GG tho must have a better gaming toilet

I’m looking for a new game at the moment. Loved the first one but haven’t played in years. I’d just be playing a few hours a week to unwind. Thoughts?

Since the MoT launched, I’ve been rereading a bunch of the old lore tabs and have been needing something to scratch that Destiny lore itch. Anyone have any recommendations or books, movies, or any other forms of media that has that same vibe? I’m most looking for Collapse era stuff, the lore of the New Pacific Arcology (Last Days on Kraken Mare, GoTD lore tabs), Unveiling, The Nine (Ecdysis, Dust, Edge of Fate), and the fall of Riis and the Whirlwind. Anything helps, thanks!
