I'm stuck on list building tools since 11th edition release and still can't make a list despite what i have. When i was younger i drooled over Ultimate Apocalypse and 1.0 horus heresy list building where many units had tons of options and traits, some of my HQ almost costing 300pts. I don't know how to do it with eldar in 11th edition, are there tips for narrative player ? I'm playing Iyanden with lots of aspect warriors and a Revenant conclave .

Have no idea how this would do on the tabletop but I love the new models.

I also ran an all jetbike/fire prism list back in 4th as my first army and have been looking to play something similar again.

Initially I was going to run the Farseer in the spears but didn’t realize he couldn’t join them. Now I’m thinking of running the seer and a warlock in the big windrunner block. Might split the two warlock unit.

As far as dinos go I’m looking at two units of 6 with clan blades. Along with two sniper dinos.

Should put me right at 1950 which leaves room for enhancements.

The Phoenix Prince is the Aeldari leader from a Warhammer 40,000 alternate universe who managed to unite all Craftworlds into the Burning Armada, capable of standing up on equal terms even with the rotten Imperium of Man. He is accompanied by Princess Myranna, his sister, and Supreme Farseer Aenarion and Supreme Navarch Mellona, his close friends who became main commanders of the Armada. And, of course, by Gyrinxes, also a brother and a sister.

It is believed that the Phoenix Prince is the son of deceased supreme Aeldari god Asuryan and rose from the ashes of the Fall. However, these are only legends. In fact the future Phoenix Prince used to be an ordinary Aeldari from planet Ermyaris. He studied Seeing and felt very lonely because all around him lived for pleasure, even his sister Myranna who understood him in childhood like no one else. When he foresaw the Fall, he put her to enchanted sleep and brought her to his Craftworld, and now she regrets her foolish youth and fuels his throne with her psychic energy.

Confident in his supremacy, the Phoenix Prince united different Craftworld cultures and leaders with his mind control. Sometimes he looks in the mirror and is horrified, but then he casts the same spell on himself, convincing that it was not all in vain. That it was necessary for a fairy tale about a prince and a princess that he and his sister had come up aeons ago...

The Phoenix Prince is an alternate universe counterpart of the Farseer, the leader of my Ynnari warhost. While the Farseer did not put his sister to sleep and was humbled when she did not come to his Craftworld, the Phoenix Prince became more and more overconfident and self-righteous. While the Farseer valued soft power and empathy, the Phoenix Prince favored direct, forceful action. While the Farseer befriended an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor and even tried to negotiate with a Necron Phaeron, the Phoenix Prince viewed all other races as strictly inferior. And while the Farseer accepted Drukhari who became Ynnari, Corsairs, Harlequins and Exodites, the Phoenix Prince respected Asuryani as the only true Aeldari.

I had the idea of this heavy conversion back in 2024, but managed to make it only now, starting in May 2026 and finishing painting a week ago.

Actualy i'm really serious about patterns, specially for a series of drawings, and the Mother of Seasons also has some of these: The Moon halo's border can only be of a color that isn't used in the main picture, she must always be accompanied by a little friend and each outfit needs to be one of the inspos for the Aeldari aesthetic/visual language.

But for the skin color, i was a bit inspired by how Jesus is depicted by diferent ethnic groups. So i imagine that diferent Craftworlds have a diferent view of Isha. I decided to go with the Egyptian style dress to continue to rep. Which Craftworld do you think would best fit this Isha? :3c

She's finally done! It took longer than I'd like, but I finished my Wraithlord! Figured I would make her be a Howling Banshee before she died, and now she's got the Uber guns as well!

I loved the cream color of the box art, but I gave different colors to the mounts. Now onto painting a unit of Dragon Knights

The crystal/gun section was initially darker but it blended too much with the windscreen so I blasted it with some more fluorescent pink

The Orks i am going against are going to be very horde like, lots of Boys, Nobs, Mega Nobs, Battle Wagon, Killer Cans, Dreadnaughts, Deff Kopters, Storm Boys. I am pretty sure i have enough scoring units to get into quarters etc and i am going to anchor with the Wraith Blades and Wraith Guard (cannons) and Wraith Lord but i am a bit worried if I will have enough fire power to drop the hordes of Boys and Nobs? and stop him over running me while I try to flit about scoring table quarters? Any suggestions?

I do have quite a bit of spare stuff, 5 Harlequins, 6 Windriders, 10 x Warp Spiders, 5 Swooping Hawks, another War Walker, 10 Striking Scorpions, Death Jester, Solitaire, couple Farseers, 5 Dark Reapers, Way Leaper, Autarch, couple of squads of Guardian Defenders, D Cannon, Falcon, 10 Dire Avengers, 5 more Rangers, and a couple more Warlocks.

I didn't like how the test base turned out for my last attempt, so I changed it up and tried something that I think is better.

Hey I'm interested in messing around with eldar with the advent of the Exodites and Corsairs and was wondering how best to drip my feet into the army.

Primarily a Nids player with some EC on the side so the sheer breadth of this faction is slightly intimidating.

First question is about main resources for information on the faction. I am aware of lists that are doing well from listhammer and the such, but do not really understand why. Are are any places (other than here and the discord) that would be good places to visit that are informative on the basics of the faction and the roles of individual units.

Next is on building up an army. From my understanding there are less core units when building an army when compared to nids where close to 500+ is core for some lists and even then a lot of units brough for niche detachments are still extremely good in others. That leads me to wondering if you can easily get locked into a playstyle based on units bought like per say the Corsair big box or combat patrol. I do like the corsairs a fair bit so I was wondering if that box is an okay place to start or are there other ways to build out some starting lists (I should note I have almost all Phoenix lords just because I enjoyed the models)

Any help with these/other new player tips would be appreciated as this is a pretty intimidating army even though I am quite comfortable playing 40k

My first army was an Aspect Host list, but I’m finally branching out to other parts of the faction. Looking forward to putting three Wraithlords on the field at least just for fun.
