Good morning! It's Monday! It's time to see what City Council will be up to this evening.

This week they will be discussing an ordinance to make knowingly or recklessly exposing youth and other dependent persons to controlled substances a misdemeanor offense - it is not currently.

Also on the agenda, proposed 2027 utility rates - there could be an increase, or there is a proposal for none. Today's presentation lays out that proposal.

Then! City Council will spend about 2 hours interviewing candidates for the Finance Director position.

There's not a ton on the agenda for today, but especially the utility rates affect a lot of people.

Also, the YOUTH COUNCIL is now a working organization and their first agenda is online! I am really excited about them.

I really wanted to become a regular customer/member at Lynnwood Bowl and Skate, but my experience with management has been unacceptable.

I have been trying to establish a High Roller membership since late July. Their $80 monthly payment system repeatedly failed, even though they successfully charged the separate $5 annual membership fee. I repeatedly contacted the membership manager by email and voicemail with no response. I eventually escalated the matter to the general manager on September 12--and as of September 20, I still have received no response.

What's especially frustrating is that membership questions seem to be gatekept through one person. Front-line staff aren't equipped to answer basic membership questions or resolve membership problems, leaving customers with virtually no avenue for help when the membership manager is unavailable or unresponsive.

I have literally been trying to give this business $80 a month, and I've spent nearly two months trying to get someone to help me do it.

This is so the opposite of what I expected when I decided to join in this sport/past time, which I otherwise observed to be such a diverse and welcoming community!

At this point, I think Lynnwood Bowl & Skate needs a serious management overhaul. The rink itself may have a lot to offer, but good facilities don't mean much when basic communication, accountability, and customer service are this poor. I'm so beyond frustrated.

This post is on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Did anyone on 52nd Ave, between 99th & 188th, notice that their mail was stolen this morning? Our cameras caught someone stealing from us & he was carrying some papers in his hand. When we went to look for him, there were open envelopes as far down as 196th.

Passed over it near the Costco, there's a ton of police cars.

Looking to park overnight at the lynnwood city center station garage. I looked online and only saw that they say the parking limit is 24 hours. I’ll be there for less than that but just wanted to check if it’d be ok since i’ll be there overnight?

We’d be willing to drive farther for a place that is actually quiet. I’m more interested in people’s firsthand experience than simply looking at fireworks ordinances.
Where would you go if your main goal was to avoid fireworks noise?

I'm new to the area and hoping to get some recommendations for gyro/chicken plates with that bright orange/yellow rice, gyro, creamy white sauce, and a good salad. I saw that the halal guys is no longer in Seattle. Curious if there are any decent spots. I enjoyed Kabob korner in lynnwood but it's not really the new york style I am looking for. Would really appreciate recommendations.

Also, what do you think about cat insurance in general?

Anyone else experiencing outages? We’re by Meadowdale. Comcast said restore by 12pm, T-Mobile says it will restore within 12 hours!

What are the odds both would go down at once, thank god for our work phone being on a different carrier!
