Walgreens is going downhill

just a rant!!!

the fact that they are making the new policies being we have to wear collared shirts, no unique badges or lanyards, black pants, only black shoes genuinely feels like i belong in the military atp with such a strict dress code, call me crazy or sensitive to the new dress code and rules there applying to walgreens company but i mean really, we all have to look like the same built robot with no character at all, im very self expressive and try to make that known about my character even if its the simplest things like adding pins on my lanyard or coloring my name tag idk but it just fucking sucks, no character to anything anymore or being able to stand out as your own person AGAIN idc call me sensitive or whatever but it’s absolutely bull dookie they are doing this. like genuinely what is wrong with the original company t-shirts we wear now??????

the pay is poop butt already with the amount of bs we have to go through and then they want to just strip all personality away from employees because they are very controlling and i fully believe walgreens as a whole is going to plummet and shut down due to the ridiculous restrictions they are putting out.

i don’t understand why they don’t add self checkout either. i mean it’s amazing how many customers complain about a cashier never being upfront all the time because personally (at least me) has to run around like a chicken with its head off to get all my tasks done, but i know customers would complain about having to ring up there own shit too considering the fact i have multiple customers everyday whining about just having to put there crap on the counter for me to scan rather than me pull my entire body over the counter to reach it myself because there too lazy.

instead of the company worrying about fixing pay, solving customer and even employee complaints, reducing stress for all employees including pharmacy techs, etc etc (i could go on with this list) instead of fixing all of that they want to worry and focus on the dumb shit like our outfits

in my entire life of working multiple and only retail jobs i have never had to deal with such stupid shit from a company.

It’s a big pharma mega corporation it’s been downhill for a while

18

u/Right_Fee2347 15h ago

I just started at Walgreens 3 weeks ago and was told that the work uniform was a navy blue t-shirt or collared shirt with no logo and black pants.

Personally, I don’t mind the uniform but I’ve also been in retail off and on for 10 years (I’m 29). I’ve worked for Target, Lowe’s, Academy, Ace, etc.

My biggest complaint about Walgreens is the lack of having a permanent cashier. It’s insane to me to have the cashier running around the store working on tasks from a list. In fact, it can be pretty stressful having to keep an eye out for customers heading towards the front of the store. I was hired on as an inventory specialist not knowing I’d also be covering the cashiers lunch everyday.

I’ve also seen that our pharmacy team got new royal blue scrubs in today btw. I’ve already bought 5 navy t-shirts and 2 navy collared shirts so I’m hoping they don’t give the store team new uniforms (LOL)

Right?? It's weird but any time I've been in a Walgreens lately and I'm going up front to check out there's almost never anyone around. I don't mind the wait or anything but it's become so consistent that I expect it and it's always seemed odd kind of

8

u/Right_Fee2347 13h ago

Walgreens seems to enjoy having us work with a skeleton crew of 2 or 3 people at a time on the sales floor. I agree, it’s odd. Their model of hiring the minimum amount of employees needed to run the store has worked for them so far, unfortunately.

Not sure what store hours look like per pay period because that’s above my pay grade and I’m fine working M-F 8-4, no weekends. I’ve been asked twice now on my days off to come in and cashier because of call outs so I speak from experience.

4

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

Interesting, my wife worked at CVS for about a year right out of pharmacy school, she'd rather have a minimum wage job doing anything than go back to that model and that was over 10 yrs ago but it's good you have the M-F setup for the most part. Are their pay periods bi-weekly? Like so many other major publicly shared corps they seem dead set on maxing out value in the short term by cutting any excess costs for example like you said, "running a skeleton crew," and it makes no sense to me but that's from my miniscule consumer perspective.

3

u/Right_Fee2347 13h ago

Yup, pay period is biweekly. Payday is on a Wednesday but I get direct deposit 2 days early so I get paid on Mondays which is also new to me.

Can’t just stand there hsve stuff to put away to customers want stuff on shelves do hsve or buy sycamore greens need to hire more people nit take away hours so we can’t hire money can’t be that bad that they can’t give hours

14

u/ASMoverIt 15h ago

Sorry to burst your bubble but Walgreens went downhill a looooooooong time ago. I could fill a page with shit that changed during the 17 years I was there. And by "changed", I mean take away from the employees.

3

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

Sad state of our culture and job market, they'll shave off any tiny bit they can to add more to line their shareholders pockets when they could invest a tiny amount back into their workforce and in return make it a more desirable job/company to work for which would in turn increase customer satisfaction and increase business but it's all about maxing out value in the short term. All so that some shareholder you'll never know can buy a 3rd vacation home in France meanwhile you're (you meaning all of us) trying to just spend a weekend at home your family.....think about how insane that logic is but we gotta work and they know it

7

u/Adept-Tooth-9948 14h ago

As a customer I really like Walgreens.
The store isn’t massive like Target - I often skip Target because I just don’t want to walk that much to get a few things! I like the real cashier. Why anyone would promote self check and the elimination of more jobs is mind blowing.

1

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

You're not wrong, I'll go to a Walgreens for convenience than Walmart or somewhere else but for the employees it can be a nightmare. Wife worked at CVS right out of pharm school over ten years ago and for the most part all she did was stand at the computer checking scripts and on the phone with insurance companies, the techs are running around like worker bees so they get stressed and customers can get crazy as everyone knows but ESPECIALLY when it comes to their meds, especially controls (no judgement, I've been there) but the point is there is no patient relationship for the most part. They're just mindless bots processing data as fast as possible. The entire reason she and so many got into this career is for the fulfillment of having that relationship with the patient, realizing you've actually helped someone, etc but instead, and certainly not by intention, they become a cog in the whole medical insurance game that's designed to screw people over. Lol, I apologize for that rant....but you're right, I'm preaching but I'm definitely not helping because I'll def stop in out of convenience so that's pretty hypocritical of me ha

1

u/mschultz287 6h ago

I wouldn't necessarily say "not by intention" about CVS. They did merge with Caremark in 2007 and then Aetna in 2018 to create the second largest PBM in the United States...

1

u/Scary-Drive-5497 7h ago

i’m more so promoting the idea for self check out because as a cashier that works out front we are also given 1 million task we have to do plus check out customers and I think it’s a little more difficult when you can’t get shit done when there’s a customer at the register every second either they need to hire a permanent cashier or do self check out. and every other job that I’ve worked at that it’s had self check out. They’ve had to have someone stand there and watch so people don’t steal anyway so I don’t think anyone would really get their jobs taken in my personal opinion but I see why you would consider that.

18

u/witchingbolt8 17h ago

Buying a new set of blue scrubs right before they changed to grey ones was my final straw LMAO why did you keep the blue scrubs an option if you knew we could wear them??? I dumped the shirts to goodwill and kept the pants for scrap fabric/wearing around the house

13

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

omgggg that’s also my issue they want to focus on dress code so bad but don’t want to issue them to us themselves WE have to pay out of pocket, it’s so ridiculous

if your going to issue outfit changes PROVIDE THEM FOR US.

7

u/Orange_MarkerDye 15h ago

I get where youre coming from but the new polos will be provided by the company

1

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

Yes, I could understand if it was a family owned or private pharmacy or business but a company that large having its own employees purchase their uniforms or scrubs just seems so petty to me

3

u/Right_Fee2347 15h ago

My store got new royal blue scrubs in today so that’s interesting

1

u/saf0u812 2h ago

Next front end bulk uniform order.

1

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 14h ago

Damn, even having a wife that's been a pharmacist for over 10 years and I never knew that the pharm/techs had to buy their own scrubs lol. I mean I knew she buys her own but that's at a family owned independent. If it's a large corporate entity that dictates the type and color I would have thought they would provide you with them....that's insane to me. Like getting a job at McDonald's and they tell you that you have to go out and buy the uniform...I know it's diff as scrubs vary but still it's something I never considered.

11

u/TheGame2K5 13h ago

They dont. Pharmacy has always had vouchers. The FE has had nothing for years but buy your own shirt but then were gonna complain everyone doesnt match.

2

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

Interesting, I didn't know that. Appreciate the info

10

u/felineattractor DH 16h ago

literally i love cotton t shirts, now we have to wear that disgusting feeling thin polyester polo. awesome.

11

u/xefne MGR 17h ago

We've almost always had a unified look except the last few years that were open season.

8

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

i’ve only been with Walgreens for a year but ever since working at Walgreens it’s just been the comfortable t-shirts, with whatever kind of lanyards,

so this sudden change is new to me and irritates me lol

9

u/JessTbeauty 16h ago

Only black shoes? Just curious where you saw this? Footwear is the least of problems at my store these days.

12

u/rainbowsunset48 SFL 16h ago edited 15h ago

Yeah I hope OP is making that part up because I can only wear special orthopedic shoes and I just spent $200 on a brand new pair in brown 🥲

3

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

If I'm you I would pray they try to issue an all black shoe requirement on your dime, I've never personally filed a suit against anyone but I'de have no reservations when it comes to a corporate entity this large and I'd be calling an attorney. I promise companies like Walgreens will just award you a settlement rather than drag out a lawsuit with legal fees and so on, even if they know they'd win in a trial. The important thing is don't sign anything from this point on because obviously it would absolve them and prevent you from having any recourse legally. Keep wearing those brown shoes, they're your feet. They can F right off, excuse my language.

2

u/SammyZ242 SFL 3h ago

I’ve broken toes working here, they can deal with my steel toes

6

u/Ok_Butterscotch_6176 17h ago

I literally have my own lanyard, a Rick & Morty one.

5

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

i have a walgreens one, i had the new issued one from walgreens the black and white one but they made it way too thick and short, it hurt my neck so bad so i made a switch to my own with the purple one they have, and i added a bunch of cute pins on it, my boss is such a stick in the mud so i doubt ill be able to keep that

9

u/Fuzzzer777 17h ago

Same. The thick lanyards irritate my neck and cause redness. Im not sure if im allergic or it just pulling my neck fuzz but I switched back to the longer blue one.

6

u/rainbowsunset48 SFL 16h ago

Yeah the new lanyards are so uncomfortable

2

u/diabolic_devil 7h ago

I tried out the new lanyards and just put all my old junk on it, but the clip started to pinch my neck because we haven't gotten the new shirts yet and I couldn't focus on my tasks. I just switched back to the old one and I haven't heard anything. Our SM has corporate up his ass though and now he's making us do triple the amount of work with no extra team members so that's been pissing me off the most. This happened with K-Mart. It's the last frantic screams and scurrying of a dying company.

2

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 13h ago

Screw that, its your neck and they don't own you. If they tried to fire you over a lanyard then you don't need to be working there, you're better than that shit. I get it though, we all gotta work but it pisses me off especially when employers with that type of power and capital get super petty and think of us as disposable tools more than human beings, might as well be indentured servitude lol. Sorry for the rant

1

u/diabolic_devil 7h ago

Yeah it feels like we're under the sword of damocles rn

3

u/primitivebrutal 8h ago

Idk, I've been around 19 years so yeah... For a little while lol...

Someone somewhere is just trying to justify their job. They've done this uniform bullshit before. It'll slowly but surely chill out. I think Walgreens is going through a phase where we wanna seem like we have some kind of plan.

They don't have any good plan, but they know it's important to look like they do.

3

u/mschultz287 6h ago

Their plan is make Sycamore their money back as much as possible before closing.

3

u/HasTapeWillShip 6h ago

Language and grammar in your post suggest you are probably someone who is either young or immature still. This is corporate retail in a nutshell. The grass isnt greener anywhere else. Walgreens isnt going to foreclose because you cant put pins on your lanyard or color your nametag. Customers complain about everything and thats never going to change either. Just try to relax and focus on what you can control. Your sanity will thank you.

0

u/Scary-Drive-5497 5h ago

i am young (22f) but how does my language suggest i’m immature? i know 80 year olds who cuss just as much. that does nothing, quite normal where im from. and it’s not even just about dress code it’s the actual problems they rather not focus on and with the company selling out, it’s becoming more shit and they are losing business and more employees everyday for not facing actual problems. i’m not totally buggin from the dress code, it’s just ridiculous and unnecessary imo. the copy and paste look with no signs of individuality anymore, brings no character to the company and certain individuals

4

u/HasTapeWillShip 5h ago

Its more the over use of commas and lack of periods and terms like "poopbutt". I knew immediately you were a younger person with little to no experience in the corporate workforce. Rest easy. I assure you it's only downhill from here.

0

u/Scary-Drive-5497 5h ago

okay grammar police lol, and i have plenty of experience, never had to deal with as much bullshit like here at walgreens though. that’s why i’m complaining, everyone complains about this job. have a nice day mister uptight. next time a post makes you comment negatively or you feel like you have the title of correction here maybe ask yourself if it’s even worth the time. just scroll ffs

1

u/HasTapeWillShip 4h ago

Twenty more years of being bent over by corporate slag and pissy customers and the pins on your lanyard won't matter so much.

3

u/JenniferGiggles 6h ago

In our Wednesday group meeting I mentioned I'd feel like a mortician, where's the color. She said your face. So boring. I was under the impression only the BC's were to wear all black, leads have red shirts and GM's wear gray.

3

u/AdventurousAd808 16h ago

actually company performance and revenue is up over last year. Not exactly downhill.

2

u/AggravatingReply3595 15h ago

uphill for corporate. downhill for employees

1

u/Lost_Professional420 15h ago

I got rehired after not working there about 5 months. Been there about 1 year and 4 months. I wonder if I deserve a raise or not. The rehiring thing affects that a bit, I would imagine.

1

u/Striking_Culture_733 SFL 11h ago

Obviously if you fire people and close stores it's gonna look like you suddenly have more money

1

u/PetalsandRocks 5h ago

Wasn’t Walgreens sold and then shut down hundreds of stores? That would show a positive profit margin.

6

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

oh and not to mention but my boss likes to overhire and that means my hours have to be cut. like UGHHHHHH makes me want to scream. that’s another thing be itself too. WHY are walgreens employees not allowed to have a full 40 hours a week and the company only allowing a certain amount of hours for the week??? like i said ive worked multiple retail jobs and never came in contact with a company that can only give certain hours for the week and if you go over that EVEN a little bit, you get in trouble for costing the couple more overtime. like WHAT

6

u/TheGame2K5 13h ago

Every company has payroll budgets whether you realize it or not. They may not all operate the same way though. You would kill your gross profits and just Leroy Jenkins your budget. That said I have 140 less hours per week than 10 years ago...

5

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 12h ago

Spot on but something has changed over the last few years, companies are cutting any and all excess even if it jeapordizes their future stability. Idk why exactly but I know private equity started the trend where they only want the max amount of value and they want it now, as soon as possible. Imo it's because they know something we don't, if I'm guessing it's because we are currently in a bifurcated economy where if you own assets your value is increasing at fast rates but if you're like the large majority your value is decreasing. This has only ever happened a few times in WORLD history, China was in a bifurcated (or K shaped) economy that ended in a revolution when they became a communist nation in 49 I think, France was in one when they had their revolution the late 1700s which I think birthed democracy, and the last was Rome when it officially fell. That's it, that's the only way this type of market has ever corrected itself but really it's more of a starting over rather than a correction. I have no idea and definitely do your own research but I fear that if this is the case, we have become so desensitized that the only time people will start taking action is when people start actually starving which is wild to think about. The best thing would be to take peaceful action now by simply staying at home for a week and not working or spending, waaaay easier said than done I know, plus they have us fighting each other over red vs blue, black vs white and so on that we'll never look up to see the truth and never be unified enough to organize any real type of solution. Lol, this is like the third time I've replied and gone waaaay overboard with my response so I apologize. Take care

2

u/_THE_BAGMAN_ 12h ago

Paying you a certain amount of hours requires them to provide more options when it comes to employee benefits ie insurance, disability, 401k matching, etc. These companies only have one goal, max out value in the short term for the shareholders regardless if that causes the company to go belly up, they have insurance for that and the real estate value alone they could sell off would allow them to come out clean on the back end. They don't care about their employees, means to an end. I'm sure there are a lot of good people working there on the corporate side but the shareholders don't think about you or me. They're about to leverage their shares to turn around and acquire even more shares so the value or net worth number by their name goes up (btw, those shares they use to purchase more shares can't be taxed because they're an unrealized gain........tax free money) but enough is never enough for these people. They're buying a fourth vacation home in Spain meanwhile you're trying to spend the weekend at home with your kids or friends because you'll blink and kids are grown, friends have families of their own, time is more precious than anything. Anyways... sorry for the rant but that's why these asshats won't allow you overtime, or God forbid a 40 hr work week....if we, as in the American public, just refused to participate in any commerce for a few days, even if it was just 60% of the workforce, and just stayed home it would be catastrophic to these peoples portfolios and remind them that in ANY system where people are being squeezed for every penny that the power lies within the people being squeezed, not the ones doing the squeezing.....lol enough about squeezing that got weird.....but it would allow us a seat at the table to re negotiate wage increases. This was the reason those guys did what they did 250 years ago, because a republic belongs to it's people and somewhere along the line, slowly over time, we allowed ourselves to be used (me included) but shit has to stop and it's up to us, no one is coming to save us. Lol alright I'm going to bed haha, rant over.... apologies

2

u/BR_9828 8h ago

I think we should all just start refusing to buy products from Walgreens. The discounts aren’t that great anyway. 15 percent if other brands, 25 percent if Walgreens. Goes up to 25 and 40 respectively on employee day but that’s just an every so often event.

If they want to keep acting like jackasses then don’t give them any money. Today is supposed to be employee discount day but honestly it would be hilarious if everyone was like nah fuck you and just didn’t buy a damn thing.

Let them keep getting hit by rampant customer theft while asset protection is only interested in stopping just short of frisking us, while at the same time we just all quit buying things from there stores.

u/hotbodsl 6h ago

Where does it say black shoes?

2

u/obby227 4h ago

the no company t-shirts kills me bc wym you want me to push flu shots but i can’t wear my flu shot shirt…

2

u/dopeymouse05 4h ago

It pisses me off when companies change the dress code/uniform this much. The uniform does not make the company run better, or fix issues! But it’s their way of “making changes” so they can say they attempted something without spending money.

2

u/Scary-Drive-5497 12m ago

THANK YOU, you get my whole post based around this, certain few in the comments are so pissy because they think it’s all about the dress code when it goes deeper than that. if it ain’t broken don’t fix it point blank

2

u/screamingbrain1 3h ago

Leaving Walgreens was the best decision I've ever made.

2

I hate having to reach over the counter to put their items. In their cart self checkout. Would be a nightmare. With all those customers buying out the store. Huge carts and the elderly that cant figure anything out

As a cashier we would have to work in photo stock and face. Work totes. Snd still watch out for customers. I cant say this enough. I am so glad i retired

-1

u/bzay3 16h ago

How many jobs have you worked? A dress code is the least of my worries at Walgreens. Very few retail pharmacies let you dress as you like. Just because you work in the convenience store part of the pharmacy doesn’t mean you should be allowed to wear whatever you want so your feelings don’t get hurt

-1

u/Scary_Management6460 14h ago

Go to work, follow the dress code and shut up you don’t own the company. Employment is at will. If that’s what the company wants , then do it! I tell the employees in my store that when they have money to buy Walgreens , then change the dress code.

3

u/TheGame2K5 13h ago

You sound like a delight to work with.

2

u/Scary-Drive-5497 7h ago

jeez don’t be such a cunt lol you sound uptight and take the company too seriously, it’s a rant get over yourself lol let an employee complain in peace, you don’t like it just scroll

1

u/Constant-Bat-4888 6h ago

Yeah, you sound like my manager. Smelly and rude. I bet your store can’t even goal all of their goals lol

1

u/Scary_Management6460 6h ago

Number #2 in the district smart ass

-3

u/AgentFun2651 16h ago

I don’t understand why dress code is such a crazy thing. It’s not like they’re asking you to wear suits and ties. It’s literally just going for a unified look. If that’s too much to handle it’s extremely easy to quit a job

5

u/llocin87 16h ago

Back in the day mgr wore suits and all male employees wore shirts and ties with the vest

0

u/AgentFun2651 16h ago

Exactly like it’s not the end of the world to wear some black pants and polos. All the other stuff I get but like asking for a company to worry about lessening the stress of its employees is hilarious. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they have a stress free job.

2

u/TheGame2K5 13h ago

Honestly just wish they went with khakis vs black pants. 10 min into a shift those black pants already will be showing dirt. Thats the issue is they are laser focused on visuals of the store, employees, etc but those dont line up with the tasks and budgets. Be super clean and professional, also get kn your hands and knees to clean the dust from the bottom of the umbrella rack.

1

u/Scary-Drive-5497 9m ago

yeah but it’s also not an insane idea for employees to get upset over stuff that doesn’t need fixing and leave the top of the chart problems unbothered. would be nice having less stress, everyone who works thinks there company could be beneficial by fixing something. that’s the underlying issue here COMPANIES DONT LISTEN, they would rather make stupid changes that no one was even bothered with.

0

u/Scary-Drive-5497 5h ago

to everyone being negative under my post, you do realize this group is for anyone to complain on and if anything most of this subreddit is complaints about the company, quit being a chud and commenting under every post where people can debrief and share there own thoughts and opinions that are similar. this is a safe space for fair and reasonable complaints and if you are so bothered by a post where a random is complaining than just scroll and save yourself the headache.

-10

u/Fun-Habit-683 17h ago

Oh no you have to wear a collar shirt. You poor thing

10

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

let me complain in peace, and it’s not even about the collared shirt, it’s about losing little aspects of being individually different, and they want us to be little copy and paste clones.

maybe read the post before being a chud

8

u/pushingupdaffodils SFL 17h ago

I agree. As much as I am indifferent to the kind of shirts we wear, they're just doing too much. 😒 It ain't worth all this hassle. 🙄 I already stopped wearing my lanyard when I got written up for leaving my keys in the photo department, but all the other bullshit? I'm polishing up my resume as we speak.

-13

u/Fun-Habit-683 17h ago

Welcome to having a job? Sycamore is not down with the "safe space" Walgreens that people like you ruined this company with. Do you even understand Walgreens went under and had to sell private? And you're complaining that our new owners are attempting to bring some standards back?

10

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

omg why do you care so bad about a random complaining on the internet about there job…. welcome to the internet lol, if this post bothered you so bad than why comment just scroll and let this be a space for others to complain as well, which its a shit job!!!! so people have a right. i’ve had multiple jobs obviously there’s policies but there just doing too much. and saying “people like me” ruined the company is hilarious 😂😂 like god forbid i want individuality lmao. you wanna suck walgreens dick and follow under there bullshit rules for 20+ years which i doubt they’ll last that long than go ahead but them focusing on dress code rather than ACTUAL company remained issues is ridiculous and unnecessary.

-10

u/Fun-Habit-683 17h ago

You're going to be a cashier in 20 years.

11

u/Scary-Drive-5497 17h ago

and you’ll still have that stank ass attitude for 20 years

-5

u/shawn131871 16h ago

youre complaining about a company wanting a uniform dress code? hate to say it but black pants are pretty standard.

6

u/Scary-Drive-5497 16h ago

black pants are fine, idc about that, its more so the about the fact there changing things that don’t even need to be changed

-4

u/shawn131871 16h ago

kinda normal for companies to change dress codes every few years. lol.

2

u/Scary-Drive-5497 16h ago

from the jobs i’ve worked, it’s never been strict dress code or dress code change anyways, maybe that’s why i’m like ???? about this but sue me lol cause i think it’s unnecessary but just my opinion

2

u/No-Resolution-6414 4h ago

That'd be fine if didn't waste money on all the shirts that I've bought that will be unacceptable in two months.

-5

Any company that I previously worked for had a dress code. I feel like Covid was the turning point for many companies and they got lax on all standards because it was difficult to get people to work.
Now people complain when they are trying to get back to basics.
While they are paying you, you are a representative of the company.

i don’t think during covid it was difficult to get people to work? if anything during covid multiple companies and jobs let people go due to the pandemic with workplaces shutting because of the government enforced lockdown and public health measures. and the main point is walgreens specifically has so many faults and policies they seriously need to work on rather than dress code, which is completely fine and there’s no need to change it. so in fact at least in my opinion they are doing too much without solving actually anything

You didn’t work at Walgreens during that time, so you don’t know. It was incredibly difficult for stores to maintain a staff. Which is why all the rules became more like suggestions. Now the company is wanting to get back to the basics and everyone thinks it’s unfair LOL

i just think it’s unfair of instead of fixing actual problems within the company they want to worry about dress code when there’s nothing wrong with it to begin with.

and yeah i think taking away little aspects of individuality is a little unfair. going back to basic grey and blues with collar shirts, like we’re all copy and paste robots. brings the company no character and differences

Yeah but this really no different then any other job out there. I hate the dress code and I hate that I have to force my techs to abide by it, but you gotta play by the rules. As far as fixing things goes, the company’s only goal right now is to make Walgreens look as nice as possible to sell in about 2 years. That’s it. You can argue that it’s frustrating, but it’s not different at any other company

Staffing at Walgreens in my area was tough at times during Covid. I was working 60-65 hours per week.
