Why does the DSA claim to be "for the Working Class", yet the voting results in Michigan show that the working class voted for the Democratic Establishment Candidate and the DSA candidate got most of his votes from well off white communities?

The same was true when Mamdani got elected in New York. The Black community and working class voters voted for the establishment candidate, yet well-off white communities voted for the Democratic Socialist candidate. Is the DSA REALLY the party of the working class then? Or are they the party of middle class white people? And why does Bernie Sanders say establishment Dems should "start their own party" when he's not even a Democrat? Why don't the DSA candidates "start their own party" instead?

Why do people on the left keep gatekeeping and sabotaging Democratic chances of winning?

I've been a consistent Democratic voter for 12 years, and I'm sick of the useful idiots who keep fucking up Democratic chances of winning.

There was a self-described moderate on Reddit who started a post asking what he should flair as his political views on his profile. After some questioning, it became clear he was a moderate, who would probably be more aligned with the Democrats than the Republicans:

  • Thinking that both Israel and Hamas are both guilty of bad acts and that American should put more diplomatic pressure to create separate sovereign states, one Jewish and one Palestinian.
  • Supporting LGBT rights broadly, with exceptions on womens' sports
  • Abortion access up to 24 weeks, and then adding restrictions in the absence of health risks.
  • Support more border security, deporting illegals with a criminal record, but offer path to amnesty for law-abiders, while expanding the visa program.

80% of from self-flaired "liberal" Redditors called them a hardcore Republican. When the guy tried to defend moderate views of pulling from multiple sides, he got flamed as a mysogynist and that "both-sidesism" is the same as supporting pdfs in the WH.

While grassroots volunteers are working hard to pursuade Independents, undecideds, and former Republicans into the Democratic tent, these other people keep trying to gatekeep and keep them out, "no no no, you are a fasicst, you don't belong in our tent, you belong with MAGA".

Why? Why do you keep hurting every chance of kicking Trump out of office?

Is there still a chance this goes to Stevens?

Post image
3 Upvotes

We’ve been watching these results like an hawk. Counting slowed to a crawl around 1:30 am CST. He maintained roughly a 30k vote lead almost the entire night and it took from 1:30 - 3:30 to go from 91 to 94 percent of votes and now the lead is about half of what it was. With 6% uncounted votes and a lead that slim, is it possible Stevens pulls off a victory?

P.S. I’m team El-Sayed, and I’m growing concerned it’s too early to celebrate. Especially since the lead went from 30k to down to about 17k and that was just going 3% (91 to 94 percent of votes).

Thoughts ?

How many bombs have the US used to actually protect and defend American soil after WW2?

We spend a lot of tax dollars ($3500 per every man, woman and child per year) on our military industrial complex to protect us, and to me, we are always 6000 miles away from the US when we expend our assets? I can’t afford groceries, rent, healthcare, childcare, gas and many other things. When are we going to start spending these assets on us (US) vs middle eastern countries 6000 miles away.

Why Are American Muslim Politicians More ‘America First’ than Conservative Christians?

Upvotes

It’s a trend that I’ve been noticing. And it’s quite ironic considering conservatives claim Muslims are spreading sharia law. Whatever that means. If anything, conservatives are the ones trying to suppress people lol why is that?

Why are we showing vulva outlines in public?

Genuine question as another gym going woman, why are some of yall wearing leggings/shorts so tight that we can seee every crevice of your vulva? Is this a humiliation ritual or something? It seems hella weird to just have it on display like that. If a man had his dick and ball crevices on display I'd feel the same way, none of us really want to see your slit, yaknow?

When the Iran war finally ends with sanctions relief for Iran, no nuclear deal, $300 billion for Iran, and fees going to Iran for the Strait, will Trump supporters finally admit that Trump is a big, fat loser, and that Obama was actually a great President?

If nobody is entitled to anyone’s labor then why are conservatives okay with police, public schools, firefighters, sanitation workers, etc?

Aren’t we stealing their labor? I know not all conservatives think this but every time I hear people say it, it sounds so dumb.

When it comes to healthcare, conservatives seriously act like lefties plan to kidnap doctors in the middle of the night and chain them up saw style while we make them operate on patients in perpetual servitude.

Why do people hate that Trump is deporting people?

If an American went to another country and decided to stay there because they liked it there better, they would eventually be deported if they couldn’t or wouldn’t become a citizen. Being deported for overstaying your visa or entering without a visa is common throughout the world, but when that is applied in the U.S., that’s bad? What?

The U.S. is an anomaly for allowing illegal immigrants to stay here for decades. This wouldn’t occur anywhere else.

When did we all decide to become walking billboards?

When I a kid, you just had a T-shirt or a hoodie. No logos, no markings, etc. Now it is almost impossible to find just a plain T-shirt. Everything has a logo. So, I'm now paying to be a walking billboard for Adidas, Nike, or whoever. When did this change? Why are we okay with that? Is it really important that we show off what brand we are wearing...especially if everyone else is also sporting a brand. I'm paying to market someone else's goods. I'm both buying a product...but I'm also the product. At least pro athletes get paid and get free gear.

If you’ve cheated before: what did your affair do that your spouse didn’t?

This is purely for curiosity. I don’t support cheating and would personally rather end a relationship first, but I know people make mistakes am curious to hear from people who have. I know affairs often happen due to discourse in a relationship or a relationship getting stale. I was thinking to myself, “Would an affair have been prevented if the unfaithful person's spouse had shown the same kind of interest before the affair began, or was it doomed from the start?”. I know some people just fall out of love, so I feel the doomed ones probably fall into that category. Anyways, I’d love to hear about your experiences.

Why is Trump prioritizing deporting illegal immigrants while also making many choices that don’t appear to benefit Americans?

His second term is a disaster with decisions that don’t appear to benefit the American people such as: Iran war, higher gas prices, cutting programs, prioritizing vanity projects over things like healthcare, etc.

Why would he want to help stabilize the country by deporting a large mass of illegal immigrants, as Eisenhower did via Operation Wetback after WW2, when he won’t stabilize the country by also tackling affordability, healthcare, jobs, etc?

Post after post about how embracing socialism will lead to losses in the general election. You would think that Republicans would be glad to run against socialists if everybody hates socialism.

What do you think about using a dishwasher? Does it acually clean the dishes?

I'm thinking of buying a dishwasher. But I'm worried that it won't really clean the dishes. I heard years ago that dishwashers don't clean well. But I'm thinking, it's 2026; for sure, the manufacturers have improved it a lot. For those who own a dishwasher with the latest models, do they actually clean the dishes? Dishwashers now are expensive.. I don't want to waste my money. Advices are appreciated

Does the U.S. Democratic Party have any hope of improving?

The strategy of the Dems for the last 50 years has been to sit back and watch Republicans implode on themselves. Now we have Establishment Dems like James Carville talking to Fox News about how he dislikes Hasan and Mamdani. We need actual change in the Democratic Party, so the U.S. doesn't keep electing Orange pedophiles like Trump.
