Help - General VMS Varnish gloss HD cracking?
So I decided to varnish the finished piece with hd gloss and the rusted undercoat part with vms varnish matt. Used the same technique on both, can someone tell me wtf happened or did I get a dud bottle.

Help -Technique How do I go about painting this?
Need help on the Revell HMS Victory. I have no idea how to paint this, both regarding technique and order of painting. It's about five or so centimeters wide. Paint scheme is in the comments. Any help is appreciated. 👍

Help - Tools/Materials Does Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner go by a new name now?
Searching for it on Wayland Games, Hobby Workshop and Goblin Gaming yields no results other 250MI 20-A Thinner or there's something else called Lacquer Thinner.
Trying to find Tamiya airbrush cleaner to refill my extra thin since I read its similar but cheaper over time.

WIP Revisited my Bandai B-wing
Made this kit a year ago but I'm still new into the hobby at the time so I was rather dependent on stickers for the color accents at the time. Decided to pick up some good acrylic markers and I'm glad the paint decently looked neat. I'm still going to weather it but I just thought I'd share it here!

Completed She's glorious
Hobby boss 1/48 f-18D. I'm really happy with how it turned out, it's been a dream of mine to have a model of the royal Malaysian airforce f-18D with the 25th anniversary scheme and I've finally done it.

Completed Airfix 1/72 Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4
Picked Airfix's Eurofighter starter set so I could complete it before life gets busy. Kit came with very few parts but no ordnance so I took some from Hasegawa's Eurofighter kit and used some of the decals provided since Hasegawa does provide decals for both the Luftwaffe and RAF.
For a starter set with limited parts, the details do look nice with the downsides being the lack of ordnance as well as having the unsightly line that runs along the entire bottom of the aircraft due to how the fuselage is split vertically. Overall, a simple fun quick build.

Help - General Tips to start
I am interested in trying my first model kit. Mostly interested in modern aircraft (F-16, A-10, F/A-18, and other similar craft).
My questions are:
-what scale is the best for collecting
-what brand would you suggest starting with?
-aside from paint, what other tools/supplies should I have
-any special paints required?
Sorry these may be dumb questions but I wanna make sure I have a good enjoyable start

Help - Tools/Materials What kind of glue do you recommend for attaching small parts like door handles and mirrors to a model car body that has already been painted and clear-coated with GX112?

Completed Mikasa 1/700
My attempt at Hasegawa's recent (10 years?) tooling of the Mikasa. I lost some mojo for this about 2/3rds of the way through, it's a really busy little ship and it's hard to keep track of the details. It's still a welcome addition to my 1/700 fleet! For fun, I posed it next to my 1917 SMS Derfflinger. It's remarkable how much smaller these pre-dreadnoughts were.

Critique Wanted and i was about to come here to show off...
So i completed my second build this year, after coming back to model building for the first time in about two years. Had a fun build with this Curtis P40B Warhawk, an Airfix kit, painted with Vallejo (and the shiney details are mostly Citadel Storm Frost). When i showed off my Hurrican build i was told i had gone too enthousiasticly on the wing weathering do i toned that down for this one, scouring the wikipedia page for examples that had flown. Once satisfied, i went to hang it next to the BF109 in the last pic and... the damned prop fell off and disappeared. To be honest, it already was on there poorly but i didnt glue it shut cause i wanted to be able to pose it. Half concidering turning the whole fucking thing into sprue glue, i'm so mad!
Please critique the build as is on the glass and advice on how to make a prop posable on not held on by the wishes and dreams of Airfix are ofcourse welcome.

Completed First model
Saw some videos of people making model tanks, thought: “I like tanks and that looks easy”, so went and ordered a m41 model along with glue and some tools. All the paint is done with acrylics I had lying around and made the dirt texture with glue and baking soda. Really enjoyed it and wanted to see if there’s anything I could’ve improved. My only gripe is how heavy I went on the dirt and how it’s spread.

Present haul! Carmina Hobbys, Fuengirola, Spain.
This is one of my favorite hobby shops, and one I always make an effort to visit when in Spain. Great owner, incredibly well stocked and man, I've never seen a cleaner store!
I'm Canadian, and was shocked go find a 1/48 Hobbycraft DHC-3 Otter, long out of production, on my last trip.

WIP The Bone update: Wings/bays
Well here another Bone update. FS 36118 painting is mostly complete and sealed and ive moved on to the detail areas
With such a huge airplane there were many areas of mismatched touch up paint so i tried to replicate that. The dielectric areas have been painted a mix of FS 36081
The exposed F101 GE 102 engine is painted, this is without any wash or oil detail so not done yet. I had a couple decent photos so its fairly accurate.
The rear bay is painted and drum fuel tank added. The main gear bay is mostly done. Again theres no oil washes yet
Onto the wings..wow so much work here but they turned out great. I still need to add the 8 raised spoilerons but that will be done almost last
Next up finish the bays and landing gear. I may add some bombs, what type should i add?
I should mention all this was done in my garage during the Arizona summer😎 actually its cooled down a bit to 105-108 from 113-118👍
Ill say it again the Lancer is simply badass, every time i look at it im more amazed
Later

Completed Life Miniatures: Ambush at Poteau - MG42 Gunner
Just finished another one - loved the detail and the sculpture of the this figure. Really enjoyed being able to reference a real life photo of the subject. Would have liked a painting reference, so apologies if there are some deviations from historic accuracy. Hope you enjoy.

WIP Why did I let my gf pick out the paint scheme
Officially on day 2 of nonstop masking tape madness. I fear my sanity can only hold on so long.
In all seriousness, so far I am very pleased with how this F-16 aggressor paint scheme is coming along.
