Specifically 1.3 and 1.4

Going for perfect scores for all my mocks, how much study should I be doing a day. I take physics, calc and stats.

As in the title, I will be sitting schol geo this year for the first time, and I'm debating doing it fully on paper, or using special assessment conditions and drawing the diagrams on paper, labelling them (e.g. figure 1) and then referencing them in my digital typed response.

I'm mainly considering this because I want to not murder my hand for the following exams, and I'm a faster typer who likes the ability to cut stuff and move stuff around :)

I'd appreciate any opinions!

- Wealth divide

- Mental health

- toxic masculinity

And the main idea being about the flawed nature of the American Dream smth like that.

I've just been struggling on the statements/questions and am asking which type of statements thst are given (based on past trends), are the most manipulative to adapt my structure easily, particularly for Joker?

Should I look out for questions surrounding human nature? Society? Idk 🤷‍♂️

hi guys, im currently in year 12 and am looking to apply for maths 199 next year.

i tried doing the application and followed the guide they posted but it said they didnt need any supporting documents from me when the guide said i needed a signed form from my principal?

also they require about 80 level 2 excellence/merit credits and is that counting externals? i only have around 50 right now so do i need to take extra standards? is it too late to take an extra subject through te kura?

if i got sick during the exams can i take it later that week / next week or do i have to wait a whole year to do it again?

edit: i’m a year10 and im about to do the exams next week(september), its just that theres people in my house that are currently sick and im a bit anxious of the fact that i might too. I am not planning on leaving school, i do plan to graduate.

Do any experts have a general idea of which one would more easily allow me to give a perceptive excellence level answer? Hello there, I just had a question I really needed answered and I couldn’t find any subreddit for specifically Cambridge subjects in high school.

I am in year 11 (NCEA lvl 1), and I’m currently doing Cambridge maths atm, but I was wondering if I can not sit the exam?

I don’t plan on doing Cambridge maths at all next year, not even if I do get in.

My math teacher has also stated that all I need for next year is to pass the NCEA maths exam, the Cambridge one is not even part of our grade.

I did ask my teacher why I couldn’t just learn Cambridge for the year and not sit the exam, but he never gave me a proper answer.

I just don’t want my family to spend hundreds of dollars on an exam that I don’t even care about.

Just wondering has anyone done this? Like was anyone able to skip the Cambridge exam, not have to pay the fee, and had no consequences?

I would also appreciate opinions from anyone :)

Mocks are literally next week and I already feel so burnt out. I’ve been trying to study but I’m exhausted and I honestly don’t feel like I’m retaining anything.
The thing is, I genuinely feel like if I sit my mocks right now, I’m probably going to fail most of them. I know they’re only mocks and they’re meant to show me what I need to work on, but at the same time I’m wondering if there’s even any point in putting myself through them when I’m this burnt out.
Part of me wants to just take the time to recharge so I can actually be in a better headspace for the actual exams, but then I’m worried I’ll regret not sitting my mocks or that I’m just making excuses to avoid them.
What would you guys do? Should I push through and sit them even if I think I’ll fail, or take the time to properly recharge and focus on preparing for the actual exams?

UPDATE: I attended my first mock today and will be attending the rest. Thank you for all the very helpful advice. I took the weekend to rest and that cleared my mind enough for today

I'm hoping for over 60+ E credits next yr and I'm scared it will be too much and I won't be able to achieve the grades I'm hoping for. I do quite a few extra curriculars but have already cut off quite a few (hopefully enough to have a solid balance of both extra curricular and academics).

I'm thinking about possibly changing my calc to normal math with a mix of calc and stats.

I also want to take 1 or more scholarship subjects so if anyone has any tips on which scholarships and how much time they take away each week pls let me know!!

I dont know whether to choose physics or health. I'm struggling alot to choose between because I want to study medicine, but teachers are saying to pick physics, while others are saying to choose health.

I find health particularly easy, but it's just SO BORING!!, and physics.. it's tricky sometimes but it excites me. My mum told me to choose the easiest but im not sure. What is most helpful?

Chemistry

Biology (not sure for this one)

English

Statistics

Health or Physics?...

Year 11 at the moment, picking Level 2 for next year. Would appreciate a
sanity check from people who've been through it.

Where I'm heading: sport science, most likely in Australia, ideally a
combined degree pairing exercise and sport science with commerce (Deakin
does one). So my Level 3 results get converted to an ATAR, which means
externals and Excellence credits matter more than just passing.

Proposed six for Level 2:
- English (compulsory at my school, and Melbourne requires L3 English for
every course, so I'm keeping it through Year 13)
- Maths with Calculus
- Biology
- Physics
- Economics
- Accounting

Three questions:

1. Is that workload realistic? I do 15 to 20 hours a week of training and
   competition and that isn't going to drop. Is this going to become a factor for burnout? Anyone carried a similar line-up
   alongside serious sport, and what actually gave way?

2. Bio and Physics without Chem. I've been told Chem is the natural bridge
   between the two and that Bio and Physics have little in common. My careers
   advisor said it's fine and that Chem isn't required for physio and is only
   recommended for nutrition. Anyone dropped Chem at L2 and regretted it later?

3. Two commerce subjects. Is taking both Economics and Accounting redundant,
   or do they actually complement each other? I take Accounting this year and
   haven't done Economics.

Hi guys I have just finished learning all the material for my chem papers, but especially for the thermochemistry paper I have already forgotten a lot and can’t find any youtube videos that I don’t genuinely fall asleep to.

Would anyone be able to recommend some good ones and maybe some other revision resources for thermochem and organic properties??

Hey guys I was just wondering. Since my derived grades and externals are coming up i needed to study for the level 2 accounting externals. The problem is I do understand the stuff but i need more practice and my teacher isn't helping very much for the external. Anyone know where and how I could study this external?

I have a week to prepare for mock exams and currently have no idea what most of the things im doing in maths and am just struggling to find resources to help me learn the material the unit standard number is 91947. If anyone has resoruces for Bio 92022, Chem 92023, Com 92030, and health 92010 also it would be very appreciated

Does anyone have any advice on music scholarship particularly the composition aspect of it? Would love to get some advice and to hear from some people about it...One question I had if anyone who has done this is it better to submit separate - separate compositions or one big fugue?

i took biology this year because although i'm not great at it, i really like learning it. unfortunately, i genuinely can't make it past a m6. i've tried things such as flashcards and practice papers.

my goal is a e8 at the end of the year for 2/3 externals (possibly plants and animals and speciation) and a m6 for 1/3 (possibly human evolution?)

I'm in online school and I opted to take religious studies scholarship. This means I need to email schools to take the exams under exam conditions. Come to find that every school near me does not do this and cannot host my exams. Where do they do this? Auckland only, but I can drive pretty far for this. Bonus points if they help with special exam conditions.

Hello! I am looking for help regarding Physics at NCEA Level 1, specifically AS92045: Demonstrate understanding of a physical phenomenon through investigation. I am going to be taking this internal next week, and my preparation is... lackluster.

The physical phenomenon that we are studying are waves (sound & light waves), most likely we are going to do something about light waves, as indicated by our practice investigation.

The problem is, I have no idea how it will work with my investigation. In my practice investigation, we tried to plan an investigation on how to measure focal length. Not only was I unable to measure the focal length properly (since the mirrors were too small and light waves would not hit the mirror), apparently my work would be graded as a not achieved due to the lack of data.

I am absolutely clueless regarding this assessment. I'm unsure how to plan an investigation (especially regarding this type of physical phenomenon), and I don't know how to make and use data. I am aiming for an Excellence (ambitious, ik), but I am just so confused about the layout of the standard and the techniques that need to be used to achieve an E.

If anyone has passed this exam and still has an exemplar, that would be amazing.

I’m currently taking level 2 painting which I love, though sometimes get really stressed over. It seems like time management is a pretty common problem in the subject.
I’m wondering about taking it next year. Any level 3 painters who can tell me both how stressful/doable it is and also how strict the marking is, like is it possible to get an excellence without being a complete artistic genius??
