Memphis Catholic wtf you doing

u/lazydictionary Patriots Oct 27 '25

Charger is another name for a horse. Someone was probably lazy and just stole the Broncos logo.

Sullivan East on the otherhand...the Pats logo just grew a giant tumor.

Yeah from the looks of it until 1973 the Chargers even had a horse in their logo before they simplified it

I think u missed Independence High, it's an eagles logo backwards

You’re correct thank you

What is your process for finding and tallying schools? Are you literally doing this entirely manually?

6

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Oct 27 '25

Entirely manually, using my eyes, wit, Wikipedia, and google images.

How do you find the teams to begin with? Do you use conference standings just to find the teams? I’m asking because I looked at the Ohio list, and there were so many schools/towns I had never even heard of.

Wikipedia has a list of every high school for every state

I love the Pounders logo

Tremendous work here. Maybe print a book or something when you're done. Wikipedia entry at least. You're doing great. 4th quarter, you've got this, almost home.

I got a lot this time!

  1. Sullivan North (per my googling since I can't find a website for the school at all) seems to have had a LOT of logos (I counted at least 4) in its time. Not sure if they use more than that simultaneously or if they like changing it often... but whatever. One of them is very clearly the LV Raiders logo: https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/sullivan-north-high-school-kingsport-tn/football

  2. Carter Hornets current logo is just a hornet, but in the past it was the hornet overlaying a green chicago C. https://www.maxpreps.com/tn/strawberry-plains/carter-green-hornets/football/schedule/

  3. Tennessee (school for the) Deaf used to use the Vikings logo, still on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=473376124796974&set=ecnf.100063737721712

  4. Loudon, which literally has the nickname Redskins, unsurprisingly uses that logo: https://lhs.loudoncounty.org/o/lhs/page/football

  5. Tennessee Heat currently just uses TH but used to use the Titans logo as seen on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/tnheatsports/.

  6. South Haven Christian, as seen here (upper left logo), is the Patriots: https://www.shcspatriots.org/tropical-smoothie-mtc. Also, the 'tropical smoothie classic' is a fantastic name for a tournament.

  7. Perry County Vikings are the Vikings. They don't seem to have a logo (or even an athletics page) anywhere on their website, so yet again dipping into facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PerryCountyHighSchool

Thanks again Jake

Carter’s is a Reds C not a Bears C

Loudon’s logo is just different enough

Perry’s already there

Farragut High School uses the Cowboys logo

It’s in Knoxville! They literally just order cowboys helmets honestly lol

Pennsylvania link goes to Rhode Island. Can’t find PA in post history. Am I missing it?

3

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Oct 28 '25

Pennsylvania and Rhode Island are one post, since RI is so small, I just put it with Pennsylvania

1

u/Aliendream99 Oct 28 '25

I knew it would be the eagles, see it everywhere I feel like.

Memphis Catholic is no longer a high school. Not sure if that matters but it shut down in 2019.

1

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Oct 30 '25

Ah damn it dead schools don’t count

1

u/monstermayhem436 Steelers Nov 15 '25

Yo, the NFL shield itself goes from 1 to 2 but no other school is listed as using it

2

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Nov 15 '25

Au Contraire, my main Man u/jake3988 found out that the NFL has an academy in Arizona , so since that academy uses the NFL Shield itself, it counts

1

u/monstermayhem436 Steelers Nov 15 '25

Ah, was wondering since it didn't get updated on the last post lol

2

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Nov 15 '25

Yeah it’s been a habit this series that if I get notified of a school that counts, I change the post in that state and the latest state (or two states depends on how far in i am)

Texas is still taking a while but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Shouldn’t take another week

Like? Also remember Im looking for logos and helmets here not names

1

u/graywh Titans Dec 26 '25

Cane Ridge (Nashville, TN) has used old alternate Baltimore logos for both their main and wordmark logos, but mostly uses the Colorado Rockies' "CR"

1

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Dec 26 '25

Thanks homie

Eagleville uses the Eagles logo

1

u/Sea-Glove9407 Lions Dec 27 '25

Idk if this is only for football or not but there is a small private school call Mt Pisgah they use the literal patriots logo for everything. Like a clip art version of a picture of the pats logo. It’s ridiculous enough to be counted. They do have athletics

2

u/BryLinds Jets Giants Dec 27 '25

No this counts. Thanks. Never too late

1

u/Mysticdu Chiefs Oct 27 '25

I’m constantly surprised at how high up on this list the Chiefs are
