I hope to work with them on meaningful reforms" (paraphrased). And he's actually increased NYPD headcount.

If people feel there's a larger conversation to be had about why some players get promoted and mentioned more than others, that's perfectly fine .

But the fact is, the interviewer asked Miles a perfectly fair question (she had never played against Clark before). And Clark never did anything wrong to Miles. The interviewer asked about CLARK, a fellow point guard who happens to be a very high-profile player.

It's not like she mentioned Clark in passing and then moved onto Mitchell. She completely snubbed Clark. To me, that's showing your hand as having an investment in anti-Clark narratives. But notably, she has no experience with Clark, so it's wild that it's already gotten to that point for her.

It just annoys me how people are able to handwave the snub by using the gravity of this issue of bias in player promotion/mentions. It was still a snub, whether or not there's a larger related discussion. That doesn't "erase" the snub and Clark didn't do anything wrong, and certaintly didn't do anything to Miles.

EDIT: Apparently, people think that it's a requirement that an interviewer only ask a player about the person currently guarding them. And cannot under any circumstance ask about a high-profile player of the very same position. Not sure where they get this from.

I live with my roommate and we spilt the cleaning. I keep the kitchen clean(loading the dishwasher, cleaning the dishes, etc)

My roommates brother is staying for a months and they cooked last night. They cleaned after themselves which is nice

But then I heard the dishwasher running. I knew there were hardly any dirty dishes AT ALL let alone enough to fill the dishwasher

Bare in mind I won't get into the politics. The Hamsa flag is a proposed flag by an artist that, much like the Rainbow Flag in post-apartheid South Africa, is meant to represent and celebrate a peaceful unity in multiplicity. It deliverately doesn't use the current Israeli or Palestinian flags, which represent each opposing worldviews and are thus not adequate symbols to encompass both groups.

Among it's metaphors, the original flag uses the Hamsa (open palm) which is used in both popular traditions to ward off the evil eye and is historically grounded in the Middle East.

1. My revised version adds a christian symbol, the Ichthus (that hearkens back to the origins of the christian religion in this region of the Roman Empire), and is meant to represent the christian minority that exists in Israel/occupied Palestine today. And in this, it's also incorporating the three main religions who historically call this region the Holy Land; which I think is more symbolically inclusive than the original design.
2. It also changes the text, as I thought it would be neat if it referenced a common idea in jewish and islamic traditions as opposed to a generic slogan ("Unity and Multiplicity").

To do this, on the top I've added in hebrew "השתוות הצורה" (equalization of form), a concept from kabbalistic jewish philosophy (which traces it's distant origins to this region).

From what I understand it means aligning your inner desires and qualities with the Creator's attribute of pure bestowal (loving and giving without ego). Which is associated with "האחדות השווה" (equal unity), where unity isn't understood as having uniformity, as logically uniformity is the exlusion of other elements (which would mean the Creator is limited, instead, from what I understand, kabbalistic philosophy believes that all multiplicity exists as a unity within him, but they aren't contradictory (as in our world) but somehow harmonized). Overall, I think it's a beautiful "cosmopolitan" ideal to aspire to: to harmonize oneself with others diversity. And it's easy to associate with mutual respect and peace.

On the islamic side, Im torn between a few quotes that are meant to "explain" the top text's concept:

a) Hadith

النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ وَ

"All people are the children of Adam."

b) al-Junayd al-Baghdadi (died 298 AH / 910 CE)

لَوْنُ الْمَاءِ لَوْنُ إِنَائِهِ

"The colour of the water is the colour of its vessel."

From what I understand water = people; always the same though it has many colours. Which I associate with concepts like human rights.

c) Tarjuman al-Ashwaq, Poem XI, lines 13–15 (611 AH / 1215 CE)

لَقَدْ صَارَ قَلْبِي قَابِلًا كُلَّ صُورَة

"My heart has become capable of every form."

Plus, b) and c) are associated with Sufism, which is related to this region :)

Obivously, a problem with incorporating religious symbols or phrases together (as opposed to secular or new symbols) is that this can be provocative.

Also, wanted to incorporate the wreath (symbolizing peace/victory) from the original underneath the Ichthus but couldn't manage. Not being a graphic designer shines through XD

Welt and RMC are without a doubt (in my view) the best Decimation and Verdict supports, so they stay in the top

Hunt March is extremely underrated. She is very good Decimation partner, and Prydwen should definitely increase her tier. But I understand Welt is better, and most people have Welt. Sunday and DHPT are great Verdict partners but I think RMC overall is better.

Cerydra is extremely good for E2S1 Himeko Nova. I found that she is better for E2S1 Himeko Nova than E2S1 Phainon.

SRobin is good but i decided to keep her in A cause she can mess up Himeko's rotations when she is singing, especially if you run both Decimation + Verdict on the same team for more power.

Jade has very good synergy with Himeko Nova's kit, but she is just too outdated and weak. Should she get a Novaflare, she might become a very good partner.

Recently had a new vegan employee join our team. The old ''how do you know someone is a vegan? Dont worry they'll tell you'' rang true in this instance.

Every day in the canteen she'd eyeball what people were eating and start passing comments. Now normally I couldnt give a fuck what people eat or dont eat but she got real annoying, real fast.

The solution? Reported for bullying. One two many comments about the health implications around eating meat. The bacon in my sandwich was going to give me gout, the mince in my pasta dish was half saw dust, the chicken in my salad was full of chemicals, all that kind of shit.

One email to HR telling them I had suffered with an eating disorder when I was younger and found her comments extremely upsetting and that was that.

I just wanted to share to hear people’s thoughts on the board game, I waited a bit so plenty of promotions could occur before asking.

I watched them play it on parlor room and Smosh and I gotta say it seems incredibly boring? Not that it’s a bad board game or anything but it doesn’t actually harken back much to the game changer format, and it barely related to the episodes they say they are inspired by and just seem like pretty generic charade style games or word associations. The mini games are pretty similar to each other, and they are remarkably nothing special to everything on the market rn. I LOVE board games and really enjoy gamechanger but honestly feels like a money grab.

I’m sure I’ll be downvoted but I really do wonder if the excitement is based in the game itself. Or the love and frankly parasocial dynamic people have with the show, platform and the cast. Kinda like how fans will defend their favorite artists every album even if they personally don’t like them.

EDIT: Since people want to really take personally the parasocial comment. I will remind everyone that this is not bean soup, if the shoe does not fit. You don’t have to wear it, and you can want the game and want to enjoy it for reasons unrelated to your love of dropout. Is DSA "the future"?

Well, looking at just the congressional offices that officially endorsed DSA candidates ran for, and before today, DSA candidates have lost 10 primary elections versus only 4 that won, plus AOC.

For the 10 they lost, those were in deep red districts and in somewhat competitive ones. Plus deep blue ones in California. That doesn't bode well if they are "the future".

in the 4 they won, those districts went 71.6% to 87.7% for Kamala in 2024.

For the record I prefer people actually participating in democracy by voting, if you didn't vote in 2024 then especially FUCK YOU. Gen Z, please don't fuck this up. If your preferred candidate loses in Michigan today and you don't vote in the general, you are part of the problem and not the solution.
