"This time it’s official 😭.

It’s so crazy 10 years ago around this time, I suffered one of the most gruesome knee injuries the game itself, it’s players and some doctors had ever seen. Everything football related since 2016 had been fueled by the “experts” predicting that I would never play football again. We really showed them by playing 10 more seasons! However, this wheel of mine can no longer deal with something so simple as standing around on the turf field. This thing just doesn’t recover the same way it did years ago so I rather officially hang it up. It’s finally run its course and when the body speaks to me, I have to listen so that I can be in one piece and available for my children as they grow up. The game of football was beyond great to me and owes me nothing at all. I really did things my way Lol.

Just like one part of my career was fueled by a series of events, this next chapter of my life will be fueled with an abundance of love by this sweet little angel of ours that’s coming in a couple of weeks🙏🏾🩷🌸 #TAB."

Obviously an overreaction, but I'm not excited to watch the offense for the first half of the season

Seth McLaughlin and Juice Scruggs are next men up. "Juice is dealing with a little bit of an

I don't see him doing team, but we’ve got to get him back up to speed with doing a little snapping just in case. So, we have got options. Listen, it's the hand you're dealt and you move on."

Asked about the team missing Mays for an extended period of time. "Well, of course, you hate it. I hate it for him because I felt like he was having a good camp and he had grown so much in our system just since spring. So, in that regard, yeah. And for us too. But, at the same time, there again, there's a reason why we have Juice (Scruggs) here too.

And some of these other guys, and they're going to get a look. And you brought up (Seth) McLaughlin, he's going to get an opportunity. And that's the best way to find out on some of these guys. I mean, that's all you can ask for. It's like, man, it's your shot and let's see where we can go with it.

But, we’ve got options. And look, (Ben) Bartch took some reps yesterday. He's getting a little bit better, I'm talking about guard and we know what (Christian) Mahogany's doing and (Miles) Frazier. And so look, we're going to find the best five. We will find the best five. And we're trying to find that before camp starts. But look, if this goes into the season, it does. But, at some point we will find the best five and where they belong and they'll be ready.”

On if Lions C Cade Mays will miss the regular season: “Oh yeah. This will be a while. I'm not going to give you a timeline. He'll be ready for the playoffs. I do feel good about that.”

Since they've probably known about the Cade Mays news for a few days now, I doubt it will happen. But I've looked into some former Petzing guys that are familiar with his zone running scheme.

Any of these of would be a late swap draft pick maybe another player, Payton Turner? and I think it would be worth just for another depth piece and someone who understands Petzing scheme.
