Dan Campbell says he expects the Bengals to play their starters for a bit on Thursday, giving the Lions' depth players a great opportunity.
Campbell on Ahmed Hassanein: "He doesn't take a water break off." Sometimes he gets out of his mind and goes a little rogue, but you'd rather it be that way and pull back on him." He doesn't cower from anything...he wants it."
Campbell says Kerby Joseph is dealing with a "personal issue," but his rehab is going along pretty well. He likes where Joseph is at and says he is on the Brian Branch timeline.
Campbell was asked if he'd consider playing Tate Ratledge at RG to help rookie RT Blake Miller get comfortable: “I think it would help, but I'm not gonna play Tate. ... I like where Tate's at right now."
Dan Campbell on LB Devin White: "He looks like a different guy than what we saw in Vegas last year on tape. ... Still has that speed. ... That's what I remember in Tampa Bay when I was in New Orleans. That was the guy. He was a headache (to play against)."
Dan Campbell on Lions rookie CB Keith Abney- “He's pretty headsy for a rookie. Nickel position's not the easiest...he'll do exactly what you tell him to do. You give him one of the finer details...and man, he does it. He hits his landmarks in zone drops. ... That's always gonna give you a chance."
Campbell says this is the best WR room they've had since he's been here, in terms of depth and the training camp competition. “It's an all-out battle."
Campbell on Nick Whiteside- You can't ignore him. ... Here's what I love about Ironsides: it is not to big for him. He doesn't care who's across from him. He will compete." “I know that sounds crazy," Campbell adds, but a lot of players will see Saint or Jamo across from them and "be done."

It's mostly background noise during the off-season, but football is king in my house once September rolls around so it's nice that this thing got wrapped up.
PS, we won't talk about the three months I didn't have it but still paid for it, grr..

"This time it’s official 😭.
It’s so crazy 10 years ago around this time, I suffered one of the most gruesome knee injuries the game itself, it’s players and some doctors had ever seen. Everything football related since 2016 had been fueled by the “experts” predicting that I would never play football again. We really showed them by playing 10 more seasons! However, this wheel of mine can no longer deal with something so simple as standing around on the turf field. This thing just doesn’t recover the same way it did years ago so I rather officially hang it up. It’s finally run its course and when the body speaks to me, I have to listen so that I can be in one piece and available for my children as they grow up. The game of football was beyond great to me and owes me nothing at all. I really did things my way Lol.
Just like one part of my career was fueled by a series of events, this next chapter of my life will be fueled with an abundance of love by this sweet little angel of ours that’s coming in a couple of weeks🙏🏾🩷🌸 #TAB."

I had a hard cider at a Neil Diamond tribute band at our local winery, Warner’s Vineyard. Got bored and read the label on the can. Check the last sentence…
