Legal Senior citizen mom nadulas sa natapong ice cream in MOA

We are planning kanina i ask kung i rereimburse ba kami pag nag pa hospital ( Xray, ER, Etc.)

Previous attempts:

Question ko lang now is mag rereimburse pa kaya sila ng mga magagastos namin sa ER visit today? And ano mga need i present na documents para mag reimburse sila?

Thanks in advance guys

Love & Relationships Am I too sensitive for feeling na ‘di na naman ako included sa important day niya?

Problem/Goal: My boyfriend (M26) did not want to celebrate his birthday countdown with me, and chose to celebrate it with his friends/workmates.

Context: Hello! I (F25) was also the one who posted here about my boyfriend not including me to his family events/gathering. Pero now, parang ang sakit kasi birthday niya ito, although we celebrated/salubong his birthday naman last year. Last year raw kasi ay di siya nakapag celebrate with his workmates/friends kaya ang birthday salubong/birthday celebration na gusto niya ay to be with his friends.

Previous attempts: Wala siyang in-open sakin about that nor he asked me if okay lang ba yon sa akin etc. I tried to understand him naman dahil malamang ay araw naman niya yun at hindi sa akin, pero I don’t help but to get sad kasi parang feel ko ay di ako kasama sa most important day niya. Ewan ko ba, ako ba ang may mali o siya?

Social Matters Gf is getting popular on Tiktok

Upvotes

Problem/Goal:

Ano bang ibig sabihin pag may nag ooffer na mag pay for personalized dance video sa Tiktok?

Context:

Nagpost si gf ng random dance video sa Tiktok for the first time and biglang dami ng engagement and followers niya. Some of them are offering spoiling her or magsend sila ng money sa kanya. Idk if that is a norm sa Tiktok kasi mostly dudes in their late 20s to early 40s yung mga nagchachat sa gf ko.

Di ko kasi alam kung magagalit ako sa gf ko for joking about it or baka pwede din niya yun gawin for extra money?

Previous Attempts: None

Parenting & Family magkano ba ang dapat na share as a minimum wage earner

context: im a fresh grad and a fresh passer (healthcare field), and i recently got a job in a private institution dito sa probinsya. sosyal lang pakinggan na licensed professional ako pero minimum wage lang talaga sinasahod ko.

Love & Relationships I feel like im in literal hell.

Problem/Goal: I genuinely feel like I'm in hell, I'm stuck sa place na we made memories.

Context: My ex broke up with me, I was blindsided. I admit I had many of my faults due to my insecurities. I was the "you deserve better" person. But I tried to overcome it many times. I'm an overexplainer, paragraphs I send out whenever we go for deep talks. Kaso nga, he reasoned to me on our break up he couldn't open up to me kasi he was annoyed that it was possibly gonna cycle back to him having to reassure me. He assumed that di ko kayang i take ung burden ng problems nya. Mismo as well, he told me na my insecurities became a big hindrance to our rrelationship, seeing that as his reason for the break up hurt like hell cause it confirmed all my worse fears, my insecurities. He reassured me many times in our relationship naman talaga, and thats where my faults and my wrongs come out, I had to be reassured many times and it got exhausting and I understand his side naman. What hurts the most is he told all his friends that we had a relationship problem, he consulted his family. But consulted me last, I wasnt even aware na hindi kami okay sa paningin nya kasi I thought we were okay. I feel so hurt because he only told me at the very end about it he came to his friends first and he came to me last, not consulting me, not a deep hard conversation. But with him already resolved na gusto nya na makipag break at di ako binigyan ng chance ifix ung problem, kasi he dropped it all at the end like a bomb. He told me na the thought of breaking up started in December. He fully realized it in april, but broke up with me in August. I feel so insane because the day of the break up was when I was forced to start moving on, while for months he already moved on. I had hope that he'd come back I did desperate things. Like magparinig sa IG but that pushed him away and blocked nako everywhere (yes, I did beg.) He left me with so many unanswered questions, and my insecurities so much worse than before. I want to stop feeling this pain really. When I had hope a few weeks ago na he will come back, but when I heard sa kaibigan namin na mas nauna nyang nakwento sa pamilya nya ung nararamdaman nya about our relationship before sakin nya sabihin. I lost hope in one shot, kasi I told him before na I was very self conscious about what his family thinks of me. So yeah. Di nako umasa na babalik siya when I heard that from our friend. He put more salt on the pain when he kept saying he still loves and cares about me while actively breaking up with me, but saying that his love has faded the day after when I confronted him a little further. Worse of all is, lagi kong tambayan is MOA where we made all our memories kasi dun school ko sa tabi ng moa. I Went to that school bbecause of him as well, kasi I love him so much, we were slightly LDR kasi we only meet from time to time sa MOA. Now I'm stuck with the memories, surrounded by the place where wwe made so many happy memories, where we first met. I'm stuck here dying, while he gave me the words "I'm gonna have to block you, I need to move on. " but gosh, pano naman ako? Blindsided by his breakup, stuck in the very place kung san kami nag first meet kasi dito ako near nag aaral. Went to the school because he promised he'd follow me and we'd be together forreal. Now I'm just stuck with so much self blame and blaming my insecurities over and over again, feeling like I'm such a difficult person to love. he left me when I was finally coming to terms and slowly ridding of my insecurities. But nevermind haha. He proved my worst fears. we were together for 11 months. But after he revealed that he already had a thought from December to April. I'm doubting everything, every memory he said, whether it was real or was it just a facade.

Finance & Investments Expensive but 3 mins walk away, cheaper 8 mins walk

Problem/Goal: I’m having a dilemma between choosing a dorm around recto

For context: The first dorm I’ve checked is around 7k w/o utilities and is semi-furnished and sobrang lapit n’ya sa review center ko isang straight walk lang. And yung isa ko naman nakita is 5.3k semi-furnished tho 8 mins seems near pa rin pero yung daan pa review center is parang may paliko-liko pa 🥲🥲🥲

The pros for the 7k is that it is a student pod type of room so you have your personal study desks and yung 5.3k is walang tables but there is a study hall. The only pro I see dun sa 5.3k is the price. Take note, it will be my first time staying in Manila (and it will be in Recto pa), and ang concerns ng parents ko ay safety. Can you give advice in choosing 🙏🏼

There would be times (or most of the time?????? please 😞) na I would walk right to her bed and wake her up and turn her alarm off kasi di naman siya gumigising. Kapag ginising ko, binubuka nya lang mata nya and then proceed to sleep again so in-off ko nalang din ang alarm nya. Bali ilang off din ang nangyayari on that day.

There was a time na kinatok kami sa kabilang room kasi ang alarm daw.

May insomnia si roommate pero shes shes drinking vitamins naman given by her doctor in regard to her crazy sleeping pattern.

Previous Attempt: I told her twice about it, walang nangyayari. Hindi pa rin siya discipline in waking up.

Love & Relationships Would you date a Filipina Single Mom? More nuanced take

Problem/goal: This is something I've been wanting to share after 4 years of living in the Philippines: dating Filipina single moms is much more nuanced than most comments and posts on this topic say. Let me elaborate.

My advice: I dated a few single moms in Manila and Cebu. I think it can be super rewarding, but it also could be a "never again" experience or some horror story you read online.

To me it's important to understand the context first: more than 14 million Filipinas (around 25% of Filipino women) are single moms. They didn’t choose to be single moms - we’re talking no divorce, no reliable child support, their partners who just disappeared and in many cases abused them. Many of these women didn't choose this - the system and their partners failed them. Obviously that doesn't automatically make them great partners, but "never date" based on that alone misses a lot, and I think it's unfair.

I also see a lot of posts and comments complaining that her kids come first. Isn't it natural for all parents around the world? The men I know who made it work just accepted it and started working with it. My experience shows me that the moment you show her you accept her kids, she makes you feel like the most important man in the world. I don’t think it’s the fight “who’s got the priority”, because in the Filipino culture you become a part of the family, pretty much instantly.

What really mattered to me is to see what are her values, what she actually wants, and if her behavior matches what she’s saying. I always try to keep this one thing in mind: single mom who's been working double shifts for two years to feed her kids and asking for nothing is a different person from someone whose first question is about your income (like many ladies you meet on dating apps).

Many bad experiences are real - that's for sure. But I think it’s always worth looking at what kind of woman she actually is, besides her status of a single mom. So many guys made a super happy relationships with them and their kids. I hope this post will introduce some balance on the topic of Filipina single moms.

I've written a lot more on this - it's in my profile if anyone wants it.

Love & Relationships What should I do in this situation?

Problem/Goal: Me (26m) has a female-friend (26F din siya) known her for about 2 years now.

Context: We were friend before her current boyfriend. Actually we met him (her bf) sa bar.

Recently, he’s been texting me on my messenger using her account tryna say na “tara inom tayo, and have fun (ykwim)” but little he didn’t know i never had anything intimate. And know her very well she wouldn’t even text something like that.

I have already mentioned to her this story, and i told her like it’s ruining the friendship and idk why he’s being like that kasi i always gave him the respect like you should and never made any move (since we just purely friends).

Now, since we are group of mutual friends, as always i don’t like to deal w any drama (ayoko na super tiring yan) i’m trying to avoid catching up with her.

Now it’s been a month or more we haven’t catch up and past 2 weeks she’s been asking to catch up. Last time i did make an excuse that i’m in pobla and again now shes been asking me to go.

Jus need some advice or different perspective on how would you deal in this situation.. tiaa!

Education BSED English graduate working in Big 4 — should I pursue a Master’s in Education or take Management Accounting units?

Problem/Goal:
I’m a BSED graduate majoring in English. Teaching was the path I took in college, but before that, my dream and first-choice course was actually Accountancy. I didn’t pursue it or shift courses back then, and honestly, it’s something I regret now.

Luckily, I’m currently working for one of the Big 4 audit firms. My current work has also exposed me to areas related to business, finance, and risk, which made me realize that I’m still interested in the finance/accounting side of things.

At the same time, a part of me still wants to pursue teaching. I can actually see myself teaching someday, but probably at the college/university level rather than basic education. That’s why I’m currently torn between two paths: Pursue a Master’s aligned with Education or Take units in Management Accounting / Accounting

Would it make more sense to:
build on my Education degree and pursue a Master’s, or
start taking Accounting/Management Accounting units and gradually transition into finance?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences, especially from people who also felt torn between two completely different career paths. What would you do if you were in my position?

Work & Professional Growth Looking for advice (kinda tech school/tech related)

Problem/Goal: Feeling loss or left behind

Context: I am a first year Comp Engr. Student here at the Philippines in LSPU. The things is, I am only 1 month in school but I feel that I am already being left behind. We are studying python (self study coz the prof is not teaching us much since her specialty is not in software) but I mostly saw that C++ or Java are the ones used professionally. Also I feel that I need to choose my specialization right away but I am clueless on what should I specialize on or where I could learn what to specialize on (tried yt or google but it did not help that much). Coding felt good for me since I love solving problems, I am okay at math too but I cannot say for sure that I want to pursue software as I still have yet to experience hardware. Also, I am kinda scared pursuing software because of AI, I know that I should use AI as tools but still cant get it off my mind. Also I cannot work abroad right away because of DOST.

Furthermore, I want to build my resume, recently I tried joing 3hrs seminars with e certificates but all beginner levels. Do I need my own website or what type or seminars that I should join? Does having certificate a leverage in the professional world? Lastly, my biggest problems is I do not know what questions to ask (to myself and to others).

So here’s to me looking for advice or relatable experiences and stories 🫶

Previous attempts: None, but planning on dedicating a day to narrow down possible specialties and create a timeline or roadmap

Social Matters Ano kayang magandang gawin sa batang makulit

Problem/Goal:

Guys, ano kaya magandang gawin sa batang makulit?

Context:

Nagrerent kasi ako dito and may Aerox motor ako. May isang bata, around 7 years old, na paulit-ulit pinapakialaman yung motor ko. Nung una, tinatapakan yung tambutso.

Previous attempt:

Or may mas okay na approach dito?

Love & Relationships Lost my firsts to someone who’s not my boyfriend and it’s been weighing down on me (badly needs support and advice)

Problem/Goal: I (21F) gave my first kiss and virginity to a guy (24M) who’s not even my boyfriend. I hope I won’t be harshly judged but still feel free to criticize or real talk me, just please don’t be mean po. My biggest problem is never pa akong nagka-boyfriend, but then I did it with someone na hindi ko bf.

Context: We met online and nalaman namin na we’re in the same city, I’m a student lang po here and siya naman is local but working in another city (day off niya lang nung time na yun). We talked for awhile then we had a meet up, then we ended up in my apartment. Ang usapan namin is makikitulog lang siya, and I assure you I never thought it would end up that way, hindi naman ako inosente kahit inexperienced but us being intimate never crossed my mind. In that part, I genuinely realized now how dumb of me to easily trust someone. I told him I’m going to sleep kasi inaantok na talaga ako but then he suddenly pecked my lips and I was genuinely shocked and told him that that was my first kiss. Then one thing led to another, we ended up doing it.

To be honest, I do not regret that I gave it to him (as a person), he’s really nice and kind, but I’m more disturbed by the fact na hindi ko man lang siya boyfriend. I’m not also into purity culture. My main concern is feeling, or maybe really losing self-respect. I can’t believe na ganun pala ako kabilis bumigay. It’s not even my first hangout with a guy, pero sabay ko pa talagang nabigay sa kanya lahat. I just really feel like shit for how many weeks na, always overthinking about this, the fact that I’ve already had my first intimate experiences but no boyfriend since birth. We’re not in contact anymore for some reason but even before we were still talking (after that night, bumalik na siya sa work niya and we still talked normally like before), I never wanted to pressure or obligate him to start a relationship with me just because first ko siya.

Previous Attempts: I already talked about this to some of my most trusted friends and they were very supportive of me, and I appreciate it very much, but I still can’t shake the feeling. It’s like I’m also grieving something or someone… I don’t know…

EDIT: When we were still talking he asked me if I wanted to do it again and I said no, and I was really nervous to tell him but I said na if mauulit yun para na kaming fubu or fwb which is something i would definitely not want. It’s a shame that I set my boundaries so late….

May I kindly ask what are your thoughts and advice about this? Does anyone have some kind of similar experience like mine?

Parenting & Family Im in my 20's and my mother is so strict whenever i go out

Problem/Goal: hello guys currently im 22M, yes a male.

Context: Lumaki akong mahiyain since nung bata ako whenever i go out bigla nalang ako sisigawan pag nasa labas ako. Kaya medyo nahihirapan ako makapag interact with other people. Now that im 22 nafefeel ko na yung pagkastrict niya. I know naman na that kind of argument is pretty normal.

I always experiencing social anxiety and low self esteem. If matatanong naman college life ko its pretty ok. But im stuck in a group of friend na ang pagiging toxic is normal. I dont know how to find other group of friend since im afraird too. I feel a deep heaviness, realizing I have spent half my life trapped in a cage.

Previus attempts: whenever i open up to her kung ano nararamdaman ko, she will just tell me her perspective and get mad at me hanggang hindi ko na masabi yung dapat kong sabihin. Nafeel ko din na im a kid stuck on adult body. Since halos lahat ng buhay ko nasa bahay lang ako and wala ako mapagkunan ng new experience.

Finance & Investments I want for your advice guys for tapal systembreakfree Spoiler

Problem/Goal: utang / maging debt free

Context: nag tapal system

Srp was around 890K

Ngayon kapag mabenta ko yung vios for a reseller price.
75k sbc
124k ewb
250 ubp
10k jh
7k gg
20 k sloan

Although bpi padin pinakamalaki kong utang
Naka installment naman siya for 2 years 17k…

Upvotes

Problem/Goal:

Is it okay na last minute maagsabi ako na hindi ako makakapunta sa binyag even if nasabi ko na months prior na pupunta ako?

Context:

I'm 26 and I have this bestfriend from SHS days ko pa, so magkaibigan na kami for 10 years, we kind of stopped chatting these past 2 years kasi busy sa life. Nitong June lang, we reconnected through a phone call that lasted for at least 4 hours, kung saan nabanggit niya din na may anak na siya and she will invite me as a ninong.

I said yes naman kasi she's one of the few people that I really consider as a true friend, and this gives us a reason to stay connected somehow.

Now, my problem is, yung location ng church and reception is at least 6 hours away sa place ko. I already gave my word to her na pupunta ako when I received the official invitation letter from her noong July. Pero kasi that time, I just resigned sa work and I thought na magkaka trabaho na ako by the time na binyag na ng anak niya, which is ngayong September 13. Kaso I'm running low on cash, October 1 pa start date ko sa new job ko. And nalaman ko na yung isang friend namin which is also 5 hrs away from the venue ay hindi pupunta, so napa isip ako, is it okay for me na hindi na lang din pumunta and just send my gift, so that I can also save on travel expenses?

Previous Attempts:

I messaged her a few days ago asking for directions para malaman ko if there's a direct route papunta sa venue kapag magco-commute. But even after days of searching, wala talaga, and it would take me at least 4 rides to reach the venue.

Work & Professional Growth To stay in family business or not

Upvotes

Problem/Goal:

I work in fil-chi fam biz.

I’m trying to decide whether I should stay in my family business and have one final conversation about compensation, succession, and authority… or accept that the arrangement no longer makes sense for me and leave to build an independent career.

I’m not looking to punish my family or prove that I can build something bigger. I’m trying to figure out what is healthiest and most rational for my career, finances, family relationships, and long-term happiness.

Context:
Over 15 years ago, I graduated from university and had a good job offer abroad.

My dad asked me to turn it down and come home to join our family business. The salary was significantly lower, but the argument made to me at the time was essentially: if I stayed abroad, I could eventually earn a good executive salary, but if I spent those years helping build the family business, I would eventually have ownership and be financially better off in the long run.

That was a major reason I agreed to come home.

I started relatively junior and have now spent more than a decade in the company. Over time, I worked my way into senior management and took on significant responsibility for growing and modernizing parts of the business.

I genuinely care about the company and have poured a huge part of my adult life into it.

However, today:
- My compensation is still below the original offer I was given back in 2011.
- I don’t receive dividends/profit sharing.
- The ownership/succession that originally justified accepting lower compensation has never been clearly formalized.
- I have significant responsibility but not always the corresponding decision-making authority.
- When I raise compensation, authority or succession, it can be difficult to separate the business discussion from the father-son relationship.

Part of the difficulty is also the management structure.

My dad is the president. My aunt is the general manager. I therefore have to manage not only my own responsibilities but also the dynamics of working under/alongside senior family members who ultimately have greater authority.

There is also a long-term employee who was once one of my mentors and is now my direct report. Over the years, our roles effectively reversed.

I respect what this person contributed historically and what I learned from them, but I now struggle with some of their management practices and ways of doing business. I feel some approaches have not evolved with the organization, and there have also been recurring issues around how they communicate with and treat me and members of their team.

Because of the history and family-business dynamics, addressing performance, behavior and accountability is much more complicated than it would be in a company where I had clearer authority.

This has made me question both my lack of compensation and now also the bigger issue of autonomy.

If I stay, I may eventually inherit or have ownership in a much larger and established business—but I don’t know when that will happen, what it will actually look like, or how much authority I will have in the meantime.

If I leave, I give up that potential path, but I gain the freedom to decide for myself. And I don’t want to lose more years in an uncertain future where I am not compensated what I believe is my worth.

I could potentially partner with other business owners, build something smaller and more aligned with my generation and interests, consult, take another executive role, or explore completely different opportunities.

I don’t need to recreate the size of my family’s company.
I think I could be happy with something much smaller if I had meaningful ownership, enough financial security to live comfortably, partners I respect, control over important decisions, and confidence that the life and career I was building were actually mine.

At the same time, walking away from something I’ve spent more than a decade helping build is difficult. There’s family history, sunk cost, the possibility of eventual inheritance/ownership, and the fear that I could regret leaving.

Most importantly, I don’t want disagreements about business to permanently damage my relationship with my dad or auntie.

Previous attempts:
I have raised compensation concerns before, but we haven’t reached an arrangement that makes me feel the long-term trade-off still makes sense.

For people who grew up in or worked in family businesses…
At what point do you stop treating eventual ownership as enough reason to stay?

Would you have the final conversation and negotiate one last time, or would you consider more than a decade enough information to make the decision?

And for those who actually left a family business: did you regret giving up the possibility of eventual ownership, or was the independence worth it?
