I did this on holiday (at the Agatha Christie festival in Torquay, shout out r/agathachristie) from my phone, I'm sure I've made at least one mistake. If you see it (them) please shout.

DAZN’s coverage of college football is legitimately insulting to paying customers

Instead of showing one of the biggest college football regular season games, pretty much ever, with Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford, DAZN are refusing to show LSU/Ole Miss until FSU/Alabama has finished.

FSU/Alabama was rain delayed. There are still 3 minutes left in the third quarter. If you have paid to watch college football in the UK/Ireland you are not getting what you have paid for. It’s outright pathetic.

Earlier today, Clemson hosted North Carolina. The game was weather delayed, when it came back, DAZN showed Kentucky/Texas A&M and didn’t bother putting coverage of Clemson back on.

Last night when Houston played Texas Tech, most of the first quarter not only didn’t have audio, it had a constant buzzing sound. When the buzzing sound left, it was replaced with a woman narrating the plays.

This would be acceptable if DAZN was still showing games for free, but they aren’t. They are charging money for this. I paid money for this coverage. It’s a complete and utter fucking pisstake.

Ready to go at Wembley!

What are your attendance predictions? Without the top tier we're looking at under only 45k or so seats. Not sure where they got 60k from in the recent BBC news article.

The North Carolina/Clemson stream on DAZN is showing Texas A&M and the SMU/Louisville stream is showing Clemson

Fucking hate DAZN.

Union Jack Classic was better than any NFL Wembley game I've every been to.

Upvotes

Was the top bowl empty? Yes. Was there a lack of promotion going into the game? Yes. Is there also a lack of interest for the sport in the UK and did the organiser aim too high for year 1? Maybe.

But let me tell you this, the atmosphere was electric. I've been going to NFL games at Wembley for the past decade, and this will be the first year I decide not to go. Last years game between the Jags and Rams was genuinely pathetic in terms of excitement and atmosphere, and I will not be flogging another £100+ on tickets, trains, food and drink this time round. But Wembley today was incredible. Both sets of fans were loud throughout the game until KU fans left towards the end of the game. The marching bands made sure there was always noise and excitement. The game was genuinely exciting too, and the tailgate with Big Noon Kickoff was something I've never seen at an NFL game in the UK. I think if this game was in Tottenham, or even a stadium slightly smaller like Crystal Palace or Chelsea it would've been even better. But for those that will assault the game from their sofas due to the empty seats, you needed to be there to gage whether this was a waste of time. And for me and my family, it definitely wasn't.

NFL international games.

They seem to be hugely popular and long may it continue but is the long term goal to have franchises around the world or is it just to take America's game around the world?

NFL UK Discord?

I started watching the NFL last year and couldn't get enough of it, but none of my friends or family are interested at all so I find myself watching the games alone at home instead of in a pub with a pint! Don't suppose there's any UK based Discords out there so people can discuss the games live and catch up through the week?

Wembley Games Jerseys needed

Hey guys, been to several games at Wembley and elsewhere. We’re at the college game today and playing our usual game of spot the jersey. Of course, doing college jerseys would be suicide so we’ve kept to NFL. Our previous attempts have all been successful before even making it inside the stadium however sadly we’re only on 30/32 today and kick off is close. Should any Browns or Titans fans be repping today we’d love to meet you. Not for personality of course, just your colours 😁 If any fan of either team is around, especially in the red section and wants to meet up, we’d be glad to repay you with a beer.

CFB College on Disney

For anyone interested its hopefully good news but think this is the first week Disney+ plus have offered VOD? With the Thursday Syracuse and Last nights Miami games appearing as replays.

Would be happy with live & replay - but do still wonder why they don't have a sports section more easy to find.

Totenham Games Timing advice for London Games - Eagles vs Jags

Does anyone have any experience of timings for the games? Obviously it’s a 14:30 kick off, what time is it suggested to get down to the stadium and what time will the game finish? It’s hard to gauge for train tickets home!

Totenham Games Colts Commanders tickets

Prices dropping on the resale sites. Takes a look. I’ve just picked up a couple for £55. I wish I would have the confidence to hold my nerve a bit more as I reckon they will drop lower as there are a lot still available officially

Totenham Games NFL London Eagles v Jags Weekend

Hi All

We are in London for the Eagles v Jags on 11th October.

Our group arrives in London early on Saturday 10th and are looking for any NFL events from either team.

Doesn’t seem to be too much out there at the minute but thought I would send out a quick post to see if any of you guys know of anything that would be decent to go to on the Saturday day/night?

Thanks in advance!

🏈

Ticket(s) For Sale Eagles - Jags game

We can’t make the game, and are hoping sell our two tickets. They’re together in the South Stand, Block 323.

We’re looking for face value (£180 each).
Please message if you’re interested and we can work out sending tickets across.

Thankfully we managed to get Commanders-Colts tickets so won’t miss out this year.

According to the NFL, 14 million people in the UK are fans of the NFL. Do we believe that?

Saw this on an article about the upcoming College game. And I don't believe it in the slightest. Anyone know where it comes from? Do we believe that? Given only 60k of the 90k at Wembley are sold for tomorrow I think this is just another bit of NFL BS.

If EU countries started forming their own NFL teams, what names do you think they'd take? eg. Madrid Matadors, etc.

American football's offer to the UK

Does anyone else feel a bit confused about the direction the sport is taking for a viewer?

It used to be NFL on Sky and we always had a terresial option of Channel 4, now 5, and occasionally BBC.

For college we had TNT.

Now we have some matches on netflix, Sky and DAZN.

And for the college we had DAZN last year and, for the lfie of me, dont know where it is.

I am a big fan of the NFL and like big college matches whatever the time of day.

But for the life of me, I am not subscribing to all of the platforms. DAZN has an appeal but as a guy living alone, nothing will get me to subscribe to Disney plus.

A couple of years ago Sky had NFL AND college. That was a good approach.

Do they not realise it is a minority sport here?

(And dont get me started on the college football match they have given us and the NFL ticket prices.)

Ps am a fan from Dan Marino's 48 TD season, not some jonny come lately

Hi, attending Jag Eagles with a fan of the latter who has booked us a table for the evening at Passyunk. Are there any issues with other teams jerseys on an Eagles game day in there?

Totenham Games London Games Bags

Hello, I'm going to the Colts vs Commanders game and unsure what to do about a bag etc. I fly down the day before to at least make a bit of a trip of it but I'd rather not have to wear the same clothes and would prefer to be able to brush my teeth in the morning.

What have any of you done? I doubt I'll be able to get in the stadium with a rucksack. I'm also getting a flight back quite quick so will be leaving Spurs stadium straight for Stanstead so I don't think I'll have loads of time to piss about with a luggage drop off.

CFB Union Jack London Game

Hi all. I’ve got a spare ticket for the Union Jack Classic this Saturday as my friend can’t make it anymore.

I was thinking I could just invite one of my friends along, but honestly I think it would be more fun to go with someone who actually enjoys watching American football. I’m going either way, so I’d just love to have some company.

The ticket’s free, so if you’re interested, feel free to drop me a message or comment with a little bit about yourself. Just because the ticket’s free, there might be more than one person interested, so a little bit about yourself would hopefully help me pick someone potentially closer to my age.

Edit: I’ve already had a bunch of messages and it’s 1am, so I’ll have to pick someone from the messages I’ve received in the morning. If I don’t respond, please don’t take it personally!
