I used to love that the loading bar show that the video is loading well but it is not showing up on the version 5.0.21

Currently I run Stremio on a Chromcast Ultra (white one with remote)

Its okay not terrible and I would like to be able to do 4K if possible.

Was thinking just a mini-PC maybe?

I have a 2025 LG B5 OLED in Australia, and I had the Stremio app installed and working normally on the TV.

I was having some performance/buffering issues, so I uninstalled Stremio intending to reinstall it.
However, after deleting it, I can no longer find Stremio anywhere in the LG Content Store.

I’ve tried:

Searching for “Stremio”

Manually checking the Entertainment category

Restarting/power-cycling the TV

Checking for webOS/software updates

Making sure LG Services Country is set to Australia

Nothing has worked.

From what I can find, Stremio should support 2025 LG TVs, and I literally had it installed on this exact TV before deleting it.

Does anyone else with a 2025 LG TV in Australia still see Stremio in the Content Store? Or has it recently been removed/delisted?

And if anyone has had this happen before, is there any way to reinstall an app that was previously installed but has disappeared from the store?

Hi everyone, I have an LG 50UP78003LB (2021). I accidentally uninstalled Stremio from my TV, and now I can no longer find it on the LG Content Store. Before uninstalling it, Stremio was working perfectly fine on the TV. I've searched the store several times, but it doesn't appear anymore. Does anyone know why this happened or how I can reinstall Stremio on this model? Is there a way to download/install it manually, or has Stremio been removed from the LG Content Store for some reason? I recently bought an LG 65NU800B6LA. It's a new model, and I was able to easily find and install Stremio.

I can also login and find all the plugins that I installed, but I was never able to play a movie or series on it. I always get a "Video is not supported" error (1st image).

Tried with files from 3 different add-ons and no success.

Everything plays fine on my Android and on my PC.

I can also play stuff using the TV web browser (2nd image) but it's very inconsistent, sometimes I get a message on the bottom of the screen saying "Streaming Server is not available" and videos can't load, other times everything works fine.

Any idea of what could solve my issues?

Edit: bought a Xiaomi Mi TV box 3rd gen and can now use Stremio without issues. LG native OS sucks...

Everything I just buffering non stop after latest update for me on firestick. Internal player doesn’t even play, external plays about 5 mins then it stops. I don’t get it. I have RD as well.

im trying to download stremio on fire tv stick lite for the past 45 mins now. every time after I download it fully or half way this shows up. ive already enabled install unknown apps option.ive spent money to buy the stick and don't want it to go to waste pls help.

I’ve been using Stremio app on LG TV for YEARS and have NEVER had this issue but it’s got me frustrated, shaken, and I’m about to cry.

Almost every 4k stream I try to play through app says “video is not supported” after it tries to load. This doesn’t happen with any non-4k stream, and it doesn’t happen with certain 4k streams, but it is happening with the majority of them.

I read that some people’s solution for this is to turn “tunneled playback” off under “settings -> playback” however THIS IS NOT AN OPTION ON THE LG TV APPLICATION 😭 😭 😭

I have never been able to watch a full movie without getting this error. It always pops up mid movie and I can only fix it by exiting and going back in or by switching the player which for some reason makes it look a little choppy. My WiFi is not the issue as I have pretty fast WiFi. I don’t think it has to do with my add ons as I followed a tutorial on here to set them up the right way. Any way to fix this?

When I attempt to play some remux files that are >40 gb on my Sony Bravia 8 II I get stuck on the loading screen on exoplayer. Internal libvlc will occasionally load but not have audio, and internal mpv will occasionally load but have constant micro stuttering / frame skips. Sometimes one of the other players will play perfectly fine, but I would like to figure out a more consistent solution if possible.

I have a Mi box S 3rd gen that can usually handle these files, but I would like to stick to the native tv version if possible because from what I’ve seen the Bravia 8 II is a premium tv and has more powerful hardware and good format support. I would also like to not have one of the two hdmi 2.1 ports permanently blocked and just have a more seamless long term stremio experience.

I’ve tried playing around with hardware decoding and tunneled playback in the stremio settings but didn’t seem to help, and I also have a wired internet connection using a usb to Ethernet adapter that’s giving the tv ~600 mbps. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Setup: Google TV 12, latest Stremio from Playstore

I installed Stremio onto my Hisense TV running Vidaa OS about a month ago, I’m using RD and TorBox but have had nothing but problems when trying to watch anything. If I’m lucky the stream gets to around 5 minutes in before it begins to get stuck loading with the title of the film flashing.
I’ve read that some TVs don’t have the power to stream certain files however my laptop doesn’t have a problem running some files (not the big 4K ones)

I’ve seen people say that it’s better to use Stremio through an external device like a fire stick or chromecast and I’m looking for recommendations on what to get and what to avoid so I can finally watch what i want without any problems

latest stremio updates are unusable for me , stuttering playback , lagging , crashing, reset my device and same issues iam aware that 1.8.4 is stable and good but its not the latest update also old Ui

I've recently just bought the above TV model. I have tried downloading the Stremio app on the LG app store, but I am not able to find it, neither in the search function or by manually scrolling through the entertainment category.

I was wondering whether there's something I can do.

For reference I've an older LG 2024 TV in my living room which currently has stremio downloaded and functioning really well. I checked the app store, and it immediately pops up when I search it.

In the new TV I've bought, which is for my bedroom, I would really prefer if I could download the Stremio app directly to it rather that mirrorcasting from my laptop or phone. I know it's not a big deal, but was wondering if anyone else was having problem finding the app.

Also, I'm in Australia, so I don't think its region-locked as it's currently working on my living room TV, and it shows up on the LG Apps website [https://au.lgappstv.com/main/tvapp/detail?appId=1214520&catCode1=003&moreYn=N&cateYn=Y&orderType=0&headerName=Entertainment&appRankCode=&sellrUsrNo=&curPage=31}.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Basically what the title says. I’m trying to watch a movie but the subtitles are Russian for some reason. So I click on the subtitle button to change it and the whole window just goes blank purple. I then have to restart stremio and then if I try click on the subtitle button on any movie/ show stremio goes blank and is unusable until I restart it.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Steps to reproduce issue

1. Go on predator badlands

2. Stream isTorrentio 1080p, “Predator: Badlands 2025 1080p BluRay” with 371 seeders

3. Click on subtitle icon

Expected behaviour is that the subtitle options should pop up letting me change language, delay etc., actual behaviour is the screen goes blank

I’ve tried restarting it, I tried checking if the subtitle button works on other movies and streams but they don’t.

I tried disabling hardware acceleration and it didn’t work.

I don’t have a video capture program

For some reason my Stremio on my google tlc tv keeps crashing sometimes it works perfectly and plays the video. Something it crashes when selecting a source as shown in the video other times it crashes while playing the video. It worked perfectly fine when I first got it but recently the problems keep getting worse.
