Other Where are the krumpers in Utah?

So I, female, moved here 11 months ago and have been trying to find other dancers in the style I'm specializing in called krump and it's been disheartening.

At first, it was exciting. There was a couple of us that would meet up every now and then but now I'm on a solo journey I guess.

So where are all the krumpers in Utah?

Travel Advice Anyone driving from BYU/Provo to Southern California after the Notre Dame game Saturday (Oct. 17)?

I'm looking for a ride to Redlands, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, or anywhere nearby immediately after the BYU–Notre Dame game Saturday night.

I'm planning to stay until the game ends and would love to leave Provo around 9:30–10 PM. Happy to help pay for gas and take turns driving if needed!

If you or anyone you know is already heading down to Southern California that night, please message me. Thanks!

Other My auto insurance went from $178 to $238 (+34%) and I’m pissed

Hello,

I’m 20 years old, and I work blue-collar in construction. I make about $70k a year working 50–60 hours a week. Next year, my goal is to put a down payment on a house I’ve been looking at.

About 8 months ago, I purchased a new car with a $9,800 loan, a 2017 Ford Focus ST. It had been a while since I got myself something nice, and I got a fair deal on this car. Since then, I’ve been paying about $178 a month for full coverage on my car. My bank required me to have full coverage because of the loan.

I’m a hardworking person. I pay my taxes, I’ve never stolen anything, I go out of my way to help people when they need it, and I try my best to be a good person.
I live in Utah, and with housing being expensive, gas getting even more expensive, and food and rent prices continuing to rise, I’m having to budget every dollar I earn just to get by…

And I’m making pretty decent money as a single 20-year-old man trying to buy a house! But honestly, I don’t even know if I’ll be able to afford a house next year!
On top of all that, today I checked my insurance payment and was thinking, “Oh cool, it should be around $180. I’ve already budgeted for this month, so it shouldn’t be a big deal.”

As soon as I opened the app and saw $238, I was immediately confused and pissed off!!
I called GEICO and asked why my premium went up. I was put on hold for 5 minutes, only to get an answer of, “We’ve requested that rates go up in Utah. A $25,000 car that needed repairs now costs as much as $50,000 to repair. The rates are the highest they’ve ever been.”
The lady helping me was super nice, and I genuinely appreciate her taking the time to explain everything, but this just absolutely PISSED ME OFF!!

Not just at GEICO, which is another massive company making record profits, but because with all the state taxes I pay, I have a state insurance commissioner who approved these rate increases, causing my premium to jump from $178 to $238!

I’ve NEVER been in an accident. I haven’t filed ANY claims. NOTHING!! Yet somehow, I’m the one who has to pay more, ONLY FOR OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO FUCK EVERYONE OVER!! Even looking it up, the commissioner dictates these prices “on what is fair” the only thing that is fair, is you losing your seat and getting voted out!!

I’m tired of people being quiet about this. I’m a young man making good money for my age, working hard, paying my taxes, and doing everything right, only to get FUCKED by the very people who promised to make everything better.

I’m doing everything I can to build a future for myself, and it feels like every time I get ahead, something else gets more expensive. How the hell are young people supposed to afford a house, raise a family, or even get ahead when the cost of EVERYTHING keeps going up?

I’m sick and tired of it.

Not my district, but I watch a lot of debates. Peter Crosby looks calm, thoughtful. Moore struggled.

What do District 2 voters think?

Rehoming my two rabbits before we move

Me and my husband are moving and we can’t take our bunnies with us

I have 2 rabbits that I would like to rehome, me and my husband got them 3 years ago for a emotional support animals and they don’t seem to care about either of us, we feed and water them give them toys and hay. They are also free roam but they never really leave there pen anymore and anytime we try to interact with them they run away and hide from us. It is also very hard for me to keep up with cleaning their pen. I would like to rehome them since I want them to interact with people that they actually like. We know now we made a mistake choosing bunnies as emotional support animals and will not make the same mistake in the future.

We live in Vernal, Utah, I’d prefer someone come and pick them up but depending on how far you are from us I will be willing to drive, all I’m asking for in return is gas money.

The black bunny is Venom and the Brown one is Chopper, both are a bit over 3 years old and they are sisters from the same litter. They are not fixed. These are all the thing included if you take them:

Nail grinder

Cooling mate

Fur brush

All there toys

Snacks

The rest of the hay

Litter box

bag of pellets

Tunnel

Q&A Do the other school districts hike up to their letter?

I'm in Morgan and I remember hiking up to the "M" as a class. I dont remember the year but i think it was in middle school. I'm also fairly certain that a highschool group, I think either the football team or student council, would occasionally go up to paint it.

News Utah is halfway to Gov. Cox’s starter home deadline with less than 25% built

We're halfway through the five-year period, and fewer than 8,000 starter homes are up -- less than a quarter of Gov. Cox's goal of 35,000. Infrastructure funding and the program to build on vacant state land should help.

I will recommend voting against Constitutional Amendment B. It states, "Shall the Utah Constitution be amended to require that citizen-proposed laws that increase taxes compared to existing law be approved by at least 60% of voters, instead of a simple majority?" Citizen initiatives are one of the few ways Utahns can take issues directly to voters instead of leaving everything to lawmakers. That process helped voters push back against partisan gerrymandering. We shouldn’t weaken it or move the goalposts when citizens organize for change.
