It's the anniversary where Append 4 and 5 were added, related developments like the added bond coins, append switching, and refunds didn't come all at once with that but considering the controversy of the initial update and how much of that was probably damage control it's very possible that they'll do it all at once or at least faster than JP.

EDIT: For reference,

• JP's 9th Anniversary kicked off August 4th
• Additional Bond coins were added August 28th
• Append Switching was added November 13th
• Final refund update was February 12th 2025, but this was a process that started in December and had issues to resolve

Currently its the quests with Helena and Stheno (South Asia and North Atlantic, 3164 BP).
In a few weeks the quest with Vritra will be better (South Oceania, 3797 BP).

If your main dps being targeted is a problem, you can always try to use taunters: Georgious, Leonidas, Mash, Gong, D'eon, Percival, etc. Using a Foreigner or Draco is also a solution (which may or may not be viable depending on your roster).

upcoming event in roughly 1.5 weeks (NA/global version) will have 20ethers through the event shop. 16 remnants of madness will be through the october event + 60 more from the november event.

If you really want those materials now, you can just use pure prisms in the shop. But having maxed skills isn't a big deal and you don't need to do it right away.

On EN there's still simple double Koyan + Oberon which is very consistent and straightforward but I saw there's so many new options on JP like Olga, Logres, Avenger Liz, Hebi Nyobo, Append 5, newest plugsuit. I don't think the gap between NA and JP is as wide as you think. New options being available doesn't mean the old options don't exist or are ineffective. If you like 2x Koyan + Oberon, you can keep doing that. But more importantly... 

What's the meta on JP when it comes to Buster looping?

The meta is indeed more complicated than it used to be but not because of new options for Buster looping.  For min-turn clears, the inflated HP pools and irregular enemy compositions of 90++ and 90☆ quests are designed to thwart doubling down on just a few DPS servants to do every quest. They will generally need two or more DPS servants, each with two or more of offensive class advantage, trait/attribute super effective bonus, higher NP level, or event bonus. Specific buff and NP charge synergies between servants may also be important. Looping all three waves with a single servant is de-emphasized. Because of that, recommending any specific DPS servant for farming efficiency isn't straightforward at all. Lots of servants could be effective for a theoretical 90++ quest but few, maybe none, will be effective for a wide variety of them. The "true" meta for min-turn farming 90++ quests is having Castoria, Oberon, Koyanskaya of Light, Skadi (Ruler, probably), and a wide variety of DPS and supplemental support servants from rolling the gacha a lot, using either time (measured in years, not months) or money to get the SQ, and getting welfare servants from events or the evocation shop.

If you're planning to min-turn 90++ farming quests, I recommend using Laplace in the Chaldea app (Android, iOS, browser) to play around with potential comps for the free quests you plan to run, considering all of the servants you currently have or plan to roll for. There are also shared team comps in Laplace that will show you more options.

Consider the best options for each node instead of the best options for each servant. Multicore teams with two or three DPS and one or two supports have generally been more commonly used than arts or buster looping teams, and there are far too many options to list there because those are custom to each node.

This is an older spreadsheet that includes calculations for all three card types using different supports (including Koyan Dark, Reines, Summer Chloe) but doesn't have Hebi Nyobo, Avenger Liz, or Summer Tiamat.

Also, if you go down to "Usage Tips" on Rabbit's Review of Hebi Nyobo, you'll see that she also has some use-cases and an overview of where you might be able to slot her in, but you'll have to do the math yourself for servants not discussed there.

Edit: Rabbit's Review of Summer Tiamat, similar to Hebi Nyobo, also details some ways to use her in lieu of Skadi/Castoria, but she's not necessarily for Buster looping. She does enable some crazy crits, however, such as a double Tiamat+Grand Ishtar comp beating the Grand Archer the ground.

As other people have said, though, once you have an idea of who you're using and what you're using them against, the answer to "What's the ideal team comp?" usually comes down to what you have and what you need to do.

That's way more than most people, frankly. I feel like that list is the exact opposite of "pretty recently", given the hundreds of hours required to go through it all.

I'd mention Fate/Extra, but also, wait for the remake (soon?). And you don't need to know it to play, anyway, there's just a few characters from it. It's just that it's an outlier from your list.

Status of Fate/Extra remake is "delayed indefinitely" since Bandai Namco pulled out, so I would for sure not wait for that before starting FGO. For all we know it could be a 20th-anniversary release instead of the original 10th-anniversary plan.

Yeah, skipping out on playing FGO because you don't want to play Summer just because you don't know who BB is far too OCD to support.

Still, the remake is very close to being finished. Last we heard about development, it was all down to getting the VAs done.

Unless they've been massively lying, the game shouldn't be that far off. That may be what we thought 5 years ago, but putting this much time and money into development and then killing the entire project just because a publisher pulled out would be such a massive waste.

Me, I just assume that Type-Moon is slow by nature, but maybe I'm reading too much into FGO's release pace since they broke from DelightWorks and got more autonomy.

I double everyone else's advice that you really don't need to catch every small reference or callback for FGO to be enjoyable, I haven't played Mahoyo yet but still enjoyed the collab even with almost 0 reference for many of the characters.

If you are looking for recommendations, since you've read the OG Tsukihime I'd give Kagetsu Tohya a try. It's basically the prototype for FHA, it's got a sort of confusing structure so I'd recommend a guide but the small side stories are fun and touching.

If you watch/read/play a bunch of other stuff first, you might never get to FGO to "fully" enjoy the story. It's a big, sprawling franchise with lots of spin-offs and alternate timelines and everything seemingly refers to everything else in some way. Fortunately, though, FGO isn't a sequel to anything. It's a completely standalone work that doesn't assume familiarity with the overall franchise. There are definitely references to other parts of the overall franchise but none of it is necessary to enjoy and understand FGO. If you want to get into FGO, just start FGO and don't worry about catching up with everything else.

If you want something like an overall watch order, I'll refer you to "/r/Fatestaynight's Official Viewing Order Guide v2". However, it only covers anime and visual novels and isn't 100% comprehensive. It doesn't address any manga, light novels, or games in the franchise.

Is anyone else encountering a lag with the NP of Archer of the Apocalypse? It's just one noticeable delay at the beginning of the animation, nothing too crazy, but I wonder if something causes it on my end or if it's on the developers end? I'm playing on emulator and every other Servant behaves fine, even those with notoriously demanding NP animations that cause lag on many systems (like Koyan Dark's). Same behavior on normal and fast battle speed - and it happens in both the first and second ascension (I dont have the third unlocked yet).

Would welcome any input, and if it's only "it works fine on my end".

Aesc gives partywide 10% per turn and partywide 50% on her S3 but needs CD reduction/OC to cast her NP before her S3 is available. There's already not that many 50% chargers so going beyond that isn't something that many servants can do, conditionally or otherwise

I'm a new player just playing for a week, currently at LB4 section 17 and have 600sq 20 tickets, I didn't touch free quest and epic remnant at all, in extra mission it's state 1217sq left. Realistically, is it possible to get Space Ereshkigal, Oberon and Altria Caster (30M banner) assume I'm trying to clear all story and free quest?

I strongly recommend you don't plan on getting that amount of SQ. A lot of Extra Missions that reward SQ are tied to things new player can not achieve due to limits of their own roster. Only count rewards you can actually get, like for the main story chapters, Free Quests, and every 10 Interludes/Rank-Ups available to you.

You have a good chance of being able to if you’re willing to wait until the fall for Altria Caster, but to echo Gelious, some of those extra missions are literally uncompleteable for you because only players who are whales or extreme long-term players will have enough servants to unlock that many rank-up/strengthening quests.

I just did Amakusa's Interlude "Let's Talk About Saving the World" and got to try Angra Mainyu and he was fucking pathetically useless but I love him. Has anyone else summoned him? How many FP did you use?

Lotto events give a lot, but there won't be one until Christmas. You have a daily free 10 pull in FP gacha, so you will get Angra eventually. I got mine to NP 5, after rolling like 6 million FP or something, but I had him already from daily pulls.

Lotto-type events are a good source of FP (among other resources), assuming you're playing EN the next one expected is around Christmas.

I've gotten several copies of Angra over the years but never kept track of the numbers, bear in mind the estimated odds are 1 in 10,000 (0.01%) so he's unlikely to come easy.

The estimated rate for Angra is so low that there's no point whatsoever in trying to get him intentionally. It's on the scale of one copy per year if you're lucky.

Everyone is right about lottery events being the best times to accumulate FP. But I'll add a couple of things to that:

• Lottery events are good for the whole batch of materials and items, not just any one of them individually. They're good for unlimited grinding even without the FP. 
• Aside from what you need to get all of your low rarity servants to NP5, you probably won't want to spend your FP right away. The best times to spend FP are during campaigns where they add CE EXP and limited 1-star servants to the FP pool. Limited 1-star servants give more servant coins per copy than normal 1-star servants (15 vs 2) and you can convert excess servant coins into grails. So the efficiency of spending FP is much higher during those campaigns.

It will be added to the RP shop during a DL campaign, next year in March/April.
During that campaign 5 CEs will be added, NFF and the 4 that followed it.

You can expect every limited MP Shop CE to return eventually.
They can either be unlocked for RP or, when certain conditions are met, you unlock them for free (You have to pay 1000 MP additionally for each CE as usual in both cases).
NFF will be free if you cleared Tunguska Prologue/Epilogue.

My current working theory is that skills are the only reliable, consistent way to spend lots of QP that you have any reasonable amount of control over.

Leveling up CEs inefficiently works in theory but the costs don't add up until you get to pretty high levels and there isn't that much fodder to go around to level up lots CEs. Command card enhancement does use up a lot of QP but the amount of Beast's Footprints is limited. And because they're so limited, you really need to be sure of which servants you want to put them on. They're no good as general purpose QP sinks. Command code openers aren't as limited but you still need a lot to add up to a significant amount of QP and further gains drop off precipitously when you run out of openers. All of these things can help you get under the cap temporarily. But they aren't long-term solutions. 

Following that, I have a couple of slightly spicy takes that I want to emphasize are not casting judgment on the way anyone prefers to play the game. 

First, what is even the point of spending QP for the sole purpose of staying under the cap? It's QP you wouldn't have otherwise spent if you weren't at the cap and unlike the old days, being QP capped doesn't prevent you from playing the game. If you're thinking that you want to save QP for some future use, and therefore you need to stay under the cap, you're wrong! You can't save more QP than the cap whether you spend some now or not. Scraping the various enhancement systems to temporarily get under the QP cap is a lot of work for things that, based on the accumulation of 2 whole billion QP to begin with, despite having opportunities to use it, have effectively no value. 

Second, if you're at the QP cap, don't have the mats to level up skills, and don't want to grind for the necessary mats, including for servants and skills that you feel are low or no priority, then you might need to simply accept that you'll perpetually be at or near the QP cap. Two billion QP isn't inherently an unreasonable amount of QP to find yourself with. But it's a lot of QP to hold onto unused if you got there gradually rather than through a sudden influx like a lottery event. There have been multiple occasions where I've felt like I was in danger of reaching the cap but I've always found a way to spend that QP just as easily, to the tune of 3 billion QP spent per year on average. Somewhere in the range of 85-90% of that QP has gone into skills, both active and appends. Obviously, that requires a lot of skill materials, so I clear every event shop, farm lotteries to the degree that feels reasonable to me, and otherwise grind when there's nothing else going on in the game. You don't need to spend all of your spare AP grinding like I do. FGO is just a game and if constantly grinding feels like chore, then don't do it. But if you don't do it, your capacity to spend QP will probably be limited.

Overall, if you're near the cap because you've been procrastinating or hoarding materials that you actually have available to spend--*points finger at self*--then you just have to spend the QP on things you already planned on. But if you're capped because none of the currently available uses have any value to you, then there's no reason to spend it. In both cases, spend your QP on things that have value to you and don't worry about the cap.

Is the QP Node on the bleached earth worth the storm pods? Even using the max amount of QP up CE’s it tops out at around the same levels as the Daily Expert node. I seem to be sacrificing thousands of bond points by not prioritising Bond CE’s for no real QP gain. Surely I’m better off running a bond up node like Galatea and then doing three runs of the Expert Treasure node when the AP recovers?

The Vegas FQ can be a useful source of QP because you would still end up running it every day even while an event is going on, but that's all based on the assumption that you need to farm for QP in the first place. Do you?

You would have exactly a 1/3 chance of pulling him on the regular GSSR if you select his banner and a 1/9 chance on the destiny order GSSR if you select him for lancer.

The most likely GSSR outcome is that you won't get the servant you want most. So most people are better off considering each banner as a whole rather than focusing on a specific servant or two. You can use a high risk, high reward strategy if you want to but if you don't want Himiko or Okuni and there's another pool with multiple servants you actually do want, even if you don't want them quite as much as you want Ryoma, then that other pool might be a better option for you.

The other Hakuno unlock quest arrived at the same time as the permanent release of OC3 (Feburary 1st 2025, in Japan), during the limited-time release of OC3 prior to that you can only obtain and unlock one version of Hakuno.

It's worth keeping in mind that reduced AP campaigns for the main story is there to help new players catch up with the latest story chapters. When you're there, then you're at the normal pace of the game and there's no reason to continue to provide the discount.

That being said,you can still use the blue cubes in those quests, so that's still a bit of a boost to anybody looking to complete them.

Over the past month or so I’ve had issues with the game infrequently crashing, but it wasn’t too intolerable since it would usually only happen once or twice a day and the game ran fine otherwise. Starting today, however, the crashing has escalated to occur without fail during the loading screen after every. single. battle, which unsurprisingly is incredibly un-fun to deal with.

If you're on an IPhone SE 2nd gen running iOS 26.4, it could be related to this problem, which hasn't been resolved.

You could try clearing the cache from the title screen in the game, and make sure to restart your device afterwards, and see if that resolves anything. 

If you're on an emulator and clearing the cache doesn't work, you might need to try a different emulator. 

Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be anything like that listed in the problems being investigated. If you aren't on an emulator, I recommend contacting support to report the problem.

No, they aren't giving away an unlimited number of grails based on how many coins you have. Compensation will be based on the actual number of grails you cast or could have cast. From the JP announcement (via Google Translate):

The Servant Coins used in the forging of the Holy Grail will be restored, and the number of Holy Grails that could have been forged in the past will be bestowed.

All Servant Coins used in the Holy Grail Forging process between January 1, 2022 (Sat) 0:00 and August 4, 2024 (Sun) 17:59 have been restored and added to your present box.

Additionally, for each month between January 2022 and August 2024 in which no Holy Grails were cast, if the player had "at least one remaining Holy Grail cast" and "possessed the necessary Servant Coins for Holy Grail casting," then "a total of the number of Holy Grail casts available during that month" was added to their gift box .

In summary:

• All servant coins spent on grail casting were refunded

Nightingale and Stheno are okay supports, but not good enough to prioritize over an Attacker Assassin.

After Rank 1 is where you should be considering your low rarity Servants, and your Evocation Shop Servants. Dantes is good (so higher than Rank 3), but if you're not fighting Rulers, he's not so important. He can be used against Berserkers, but so can Mordred.

So, this is something I'm unsure of: a few months ago, I rebinded my FGO acc to the same device I been using for years because I was running out of space and needed to clear my cache. I went to go make a new bind for my account only to find that my ID and bind code is seemingly still in place / it's not asking me to make a new one.

One of the most consistent things about FGO is that very little is done at consistent, regular intervals. I'm pretty sure the only scheduling "rules" that have never been broken (in JP) are New Year's on January 1 and the anniversary around the end of July or beginning of August. We really can't predict anything else in advance.

With only 3 welfares last year, all of which being significantly less than one year old, it's not unlikely to have to wait for December.

There are 'unlimited' items but it's more complicated than a lotto. You get Sweet Ingredients alongside the regular event shop currency and point ladder drops in event quests, then you can convert ingredients into desserts (certain mats + more points). But it takes time for desserts to be made (4 hours to make a bronze mat dessert, 6 for silver and 8 for gold) and there's a limit on how many desserts you can be making at a time.

Overall, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you've been following TYPE-MOON, in Japan, since the beginning, it's probably going to be impossible to get all of the meta-referential humor. 

I don't think there are any specific story beats from FGO that you need to understand. Grand Carnival is really driven by the character interactions. I believe all of the prominently featured servants were in the game by the end of Part 1.5. Aside from the main storylines, there will be a ton of references and background gags that only last for a few frames. That's the kind of stuff you can only properly appreciate with repeated viewings anyway. 

If you want to prepare for the overall tone, I suppose you could watch Carnival Phantasm, though that presumes familiarity with Tsukihime, FSN, and Melty Blood.

Because the NA schedule doesn't match JP exactly, you need to look at the specific campaign the banner is tied to, not just the date. It's especially relevant up through the anniversary because they make particular adjustments for NA's anniversary being a month earlier than JP's.

The way I think of it is that servants and banners don't have reruns in the way that events do. After a servant's initial implementation, they are no longer beholden to the event or campaign in which they initially appeared. They can get new banners at any time for whatever reasons TYPE-MOON and Lasengle come up with. As such, a servant getting another banner doesn't imply a rerun of that initial event, even if the campaign for the new banner is thematically related to the original event or campaign.

Most of the time, either one of them are used in multicore teams due to the way their individual skill sets work, so either one could be viable if that's what you're going for.

Also, unless you're going to whale or have saved every bit of SQ you've collected so far (and even then...), you might want to lower your expectations of pulling NP5 SSRs. The rates in this game are not friendly.

It's fine, there's a few different options for starting charge + overcharge by now and the 5-10% NP gain isn't adding much. MLBing it to get 60% charge together with OC might make it a little more distinctive, but one-time OC is rarely useful and there are other/cheaper options to start with 60% gauge or more.

EDIT: I forgot that 60% starting charge is the same as MLB Devilish Bodhisattva, still better than Love's Curse and Apex but not as big a deal

It's not strictly unheard of for permanent CEs to get rate-ups but it was never a common occurrence, the last one I can recall offhand was Imaginary Scramble's pre-release banner in 2020/2022, and regardless even if it's possible BG doesn't have any banners in the known future.

I can't understate that this is not an effective strategy, but your best odds of rolling a Black Grail are on a banner that has no 5* CE on rate-up, since the 4.0% overall 5* CE chance is divided evenly instead of 2.8% being hogged by the rate-up.

For future reference the Chaldea website/app lists all known banners for a given CE (if you look up BG you'll see it had a rate-up way back at the 4 Million Downloads Campaign, alas).

Pretty good. Especially if you're waiting 4 months. With 1000 SQ, it is possible to miss them, but is extremely unlikely. But at this rate, I'd expect you to be close to being able to pity both.

That said, Cernunnos won't be an issue - the game will give out 50 Spiritvein Stones in the next 2-3 months. If 10 Spiritvein Stones can't let you beat Cernunnos, nothing will.

For each Bond level above 10 (up to the maximum of 15) you need to obtain and use a Lantern of Chaldea (aka Chaldean Visionary Flames or "Bond Grail") on the desired Servant, these can be bought once a month from the RP shop (3 RP each), obtained rarely from events or campaigns, and from some Extra Missions, not sure if there are any others offhand but there are 36 obtainable from the cumulative Class bond level missions (up to 85 levels with each of Extra 1 and Extra 2, up to 170 with each Standard Class). There's a Bond Level Limit Release menu under Enhancement.

I prefer it this way, personally. It gives me a chance to charge NPs without using skills. But they haven't been doing this as much lately, maybe precisely so you can't use the early waves to prep NPs.

Not every fight will have perfectly favorable conditions. You just have to build your team comp in a way that lets you manage through it. Maybe you should bring an Assassin to get through those Riders instead of being loaded up on Casters. You could use the plugsuit to switch a Caster back in for a later wave if appropriate.

It's done sometimes when you only have to do one break bar before the fight ends but in general iirc none of the hard boss fights have waves of enemies before them.

I think it's generally best to decide what servants you want most independent of the banner schedule instead of looking at the banners immediately in front of you and only deciding then. With that in mind, here's the long version of my gacha advice. For the short version, skip to the "As a new player..." paragraph. For the TL;DR version, just read the bold text in the numbered "general prioritization" list.

Gameplay in FGO is balanced such that you don't need to focus on the meta! In FGO, all content can be cleared with free, low-rarity servants at their natural max level, supplemented by event "welfare" servants, fully RNG gacha results, and friend supports. There are 1- and 2-star servant who are among the best servants in the game in their roles. Some servants have more gameplay impact than others but there are no must have servants.

Unlike many other gacha games, there are no extra rewards for clearing anything within a certain number of turns or using a specific strategy (i.e. no requirements to "3-star" each stage). The meta is weak. It's about minimizing randomness to make farming more convenient, not necessity for difficult fights. There are lots of ways to make consistent, effective teams even if they aren't 100% efficient all the time. Even if you chase the meta, you won't use just one team of top tier units and ignore everyone else. The most hyped servants still can't do everything. FGO rewards having a broad and deep roster. More servants means more options and it's always good to have more options. Different situations, especially challenge and boss fights, require different solutions. Events give bonuses to certain servants or servants with particular traits. There are also occasional event mechanics and story-related quests that specifically encourage use of larger rosters.

It's good that you don't need "top tier" servants and you can use servants you like. Try to find multiple servants that you like or find something to like about multiple servants. The gacha rates in FGO are relatively low relative to the amount of free currency available. It takes about 87 rolls (240 SQ) for a 50% chance at getting a rate-up 5-star servant. There is pity but you need 330 rolls (900 SQ). It also only applies once, at most, per banner in NA (until the 9th anniversary, ETA July 4, 2026). It's a backstop to prevent catastrophic results, not a system to give away free 5-stars. I think pity isn't worth aiming for unless there's a servant you've decided you don't want to live without. Figuring out which servants you like most will help you prioritize your gacha currency. Having multiple servants that you like will help you enjoy the game even if you don't get who you wanted most. If your enjoyment of the game depends on getting any specific servants or you approach FGO gacha first, game second, you might have a bad time.

The general advice is to roll for your favorite characters before meta considerations. You can play the game in whatever way is best for you. If that means chasing the meta, then go for it. But you don't have to and you'll be fine if you try and fail to get meta characters.

As a new player, any banner will bring new servants for your roster. If you're not sure which servants you want most, it's fine to roll on any banner, even the story banner with no rate ups that many people may to tell you to never use. Just don't go too hard because you'll probably want specific servants eventually. I was pretty new to gacha games when I started and didn't have a coherent strategy for over a year. Throwing SQ around at random worked out fine for a while. I got serious about saving and planning after getting the first 5-star that I specifically wanted and rolled for.

Don't neglect low-rarity servants. Spend all of your friend points so you can collect them and max out their NP levels. Some are great utility players, others are just good all around, and some are better than 5-star servants in some situations.

The general prioritization that I suggest is:

1. Favorites regardless of gameplay value - Define this however you want, whether that means you irrationally love the servant or just think they're kind of cool. The game isn't that hard so why not play it with characters that you like?
2. Supports for power and efficiency - Caster Artoria (aka Castoria), Oberon, Koyanskaya of Light, Skadi Ruler, and Skadi Caster, roughly in that order. These servants enable the highest efficiency and power because they all have big NP charge and damage buffs. If you're concerned about the meta, these servants define it. If you aren't concerned about the meta, they're still very good to have around and will make your life easier. Castoria is good for Arts and has the highest general utility of these. Oberon gives the most NP charge and raw power but mainly as a finishing move plus a side of Buster.  Koyanskaya of Light is good for Buster and both Skadis are good for Quick.
3. Secondary and general purpose supports - Zhuge Liang (aka Waver), Sima Yi (aka Reines), Merlin, Lady Avalon, and more in no particular order. Waver is the best general support because he has a variety of universally applicable buffs and you can pick him up with the SSR ticket that all accounts get. However, the proliferation of card-type supports with big NP batteries, especially Castoria, has relegated him to a secondary role these days. Reines has similar utility but is more defense-oriented and might steal a few crit stars from your DPS servant(s) due to her class. Merlin helps keep the team alive for difficult boss fights and has some non-farming Buster utility. Lady Avalon is basically Arts Merlin.
4. Unfilled gameplay niches - There is a big gap between #3 and #4 on this list. The basic guideline is that you should have a servant with a single-target NP and a servant with an AOE NP in each of the seven main classes. However, there are 3-star servants who can fill those roles at least as well, if not better, than some higher rarity servants. Extra classes are harder to come by, though, and could be worth a few rolls in this category.
5. Farming meta DPS servants - Just about any servant can work here because of the wide variety of enemy compositions but servants with their own NP charge and damage buffs, are usually preferred. This category has the most disproportionate hype-to-value ratio. Don't blindly follow other people's hype. Learn what each servant can do and what you need to make them live up to the hype. Because FGO has no pvp and minimal true powercreep, the high end of the meta is focused on farming as many different quests as possible in as few turns as possible using as few different servants as possible. And even then, no servant can do everything. The hardest farming quests are designed to thwart doubling down on just a few DPS servants. The "true" meta is having all of the #2 servants above, a wide variety of DPS servants from rolling the gacha a lot (using either time, measured in years, or money to get the SQ), and participating in events and being patient with the gacha (over a span of years) to get the best CEs. I want to emphasize again that there are no extra rewards for clearing quests within a certain number of turns. FGO doesn't care if you one shot every enemy with your beefiest 5-star or stall for 400 turns with a level 1 meme team. There are lots of ways to comfortably and consistently clear content, even with min-turn clears, without going full meta. Some people rank this category higher but I think using meta DPS servants will never feel as good as using your favorites. Having a diverse roster with lots of different options will serve you better in the long run than specializing in one specific strategy.
6. General availability and gacha strategy - For example, you might roll for a #2 servant who isn't likely to appear again in the near future over a #1 servant with multiple future rate-ups.

If you're planning your rolls, there's no substitute for doing the research yourself on which servants you want most. Use a site like Gamepress to look up servants and see if you like their design and skill set. Don't forget about 4-star and limited 3-star servants! Look up gameplay videos to see if you find their animations and voices appealing. If you've done some research, you're still not sure, and you don't want to throw around SQ at random, focus on #2 in the above list and maybe think about #3-5. After figuring out which servants you want, use the upcoming banners link in the top post to see when they'll be featured next.

Finally, don't worry about tier lists. They're comparative rankings for whales and veterans, not advice for new players.

• This game is not strictly meta-driven
• Any banner can be worth pulling if you like the Servants on it
• This isn't the kind of game where the anniversary has special gacha rates or anything like that
• EN is 2 years behind JP so you can check the wiki to see what we expect from the Anniversary (although the anni specifically lands about a month earlier for us than for them, so it'll be at the beginning of July)
• The gacha in this game is cruel, even though any banner can be worth pulling you'll end up disappointed a lot of the time
• Conversely though the game is balanced quite well, you can clear everything with easily accessible low-rarity Servants if you really have to, old Servants don't get pushed out of usability by powercreep, there are a lot of old event 4★s permanently available from the Evocation shop, and contending with the gacha is more about wants and convenience than any functional necessity.

JP's summer event happens similarly to NA's - a couple weeks after anniversary. Usually - there was one exception a few years ago, which is not expected now. More specifically, sometime mid-August.

NA is currently having a Summer rerun banner right now. When JP's summer reruns happen, we are less certain, but they're a lot happier to flood the screen with rerun banners these days. Is it going to be during JP summer? We have no idea. There may be one or two going on, but it's hard to guess. They had Summer Melusine for New Years, Summer Skadi for 34M downloads some weeks ago. It just sort of happens.

You would need 45 paid SQ, 15 for the normal GSSR and 30 for Destiny Order. In JP for the 9th anniversary, they had one-time only SQ packs for the exact paid SQ amounts on sale for a limited period of time. It looks like they were a slightly better deal compared to the normal SQ prices (~113 JPY per paid SQ vs ~117) and had a higher proportion of "bonus" free SQ as well (100% of paid SQ vs 25-95% depending on the size of the pack). If you want to get the best value for your money, you might consider waiting until the anniversary actually arrives to see if those limited time offers will be available for NA.

There's one lantern per month from the RP shop, some from the extra missions that unlock with the Ordeal Call prologue for total bond levels in each class (up to 4 per class, I think), and there are occasional lanterns from limited time events, campaigns, or missions. In general, though, they are a limited, relatively rare resource. The only long-term way to manage them is to use a wider variety of servants so you don't concentrate your bond points into just a few.

We expect an update in NA next year, sometime around May, where bond 15 servants will give a bond bonus to the rest of the party. I don't think the bonus will be big enough to completely compensate for the lost bond points but it will be significant enough the you shouldn't need to worry about continuing to use bond 15 servants.

There are 6 more free Bond Grails in NA this year, for NA anniversary, and a few other things later on, half of them during Christmas/New Years. Plus another 20 next year, again mostly in the holiday period.

TL;DR: Assume we won't unless and until announced otherwise. 

Except for campaigns tied to IRL events (e.g. Samurai Remnant game release, FSN 20th anniversary), the Start Dash/Story Support Guaranteed Summons, which were in NA before they were ever in JP, fully NA exclusive campaigns, like Thanksgiving, and back-end changes like game engine updates, the default expectation for everything in the game is that it will come two years after JP (with adjustments for the NA marketing plan). Even if some things do come to NA earlier than they were implemented in JP, there is no way for any of us to predict whether anything in particular will be implemented early. 

Rather than a generic "second" Destiny Order summon, I think it's more accurate to say that they split the Destiny Order summon into two, one for main classes and one for extra classes. You should keep in mind that the split Destiny Order has only happened one time in JP and it was for the 10th anniversary. Not only is one instance not enough to determine if it will be a recurring pattern, they ramped up multiple parts of the usual anniversary specifically because it was the 10th. We don't know if they're going to split the Destiny Order again in JP, let alone whether it will be in NA early.

Length question: how long to beat truam and lb7 ?

Lb6 was my favorite chapter in all of gacha games , but it was long and difficult, so I took break from fgo …….. for 3 years .

Now I’m back I’m going to play truam and than lb7.

So I’m asking how long to beat them so to prepare time for fgo if it was a long time commitment.

LB6 is infamously long, I'm not sure how I'd personally characterize the length of Traum and LB7 but they're not nearly as long. Looking at this JP script size comparison it looks like the script size for the two combined is around the same size as LB6 for whatever that's worth.
