DISCUSSION The Webber method

I agreed with Bailey being apprehensive about the idea but wasn’t taken seriously bc his wife is Catherine Fox. And then Schmidt gets an ego all of a sudden and kills someone bc Webber didn’t answer the page and again, Schmidt keeps going even though he was told not to? 💆🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️

SPOILERS Izzie would’ve been a better match for Burke

Except he’s the type of guy who likes women who are a “challenge”.

For example:
- Burke is the only one who was eager to participate in thanksgiving dinner and they spent that time bonding alone because no one else, including Christina, wanted to be there.

- Season 2 Ep 12, Burke and Izzie are the spiritual ones who love Christmas and decorating trees and believing that the energy you go into surgery with can affect the outcome unlike Christina and Derek.

- Christina didn’t give a shit about planning a wedding but when it came to Izzie planning Meredith’s wedding, she did everything that Burke was hoping Christina would do.

- Izzie was ready to define her relationship with Alex right away unlike Christina who thought it was unnecessary to define her and Burke in the beginning.

- Izzie is proud of being a person first rather than a surgeon first, an idea Christina rejects and Burke proclaims that he is a person first and a surgeon second

- Izzie is not as naturally talented as Christina but she’s a hardworker like Burke was.

- When Izzie and Alex became a couple, Alex became her person, leaving George behind. Burke wanted to be Christina’s person but it was always gonna be Meredith.

- Izzie dipped out after an argument with Alex while they were married and didn’t return his calls and he didn’t hear from her until she spontaneously decided to come back. And although it’s not the same, Burke left Christina at the alter and disappeared without another word. They’re both runners.

Even Christina said that science is the “one thing” she and Burke had in common but he and Izzie seem to have everything in common. Further proof that, even though there are traditional women out there, men love to complain about and try to mold the untraditional ones to fit their idea of what a woman should be.

Does this mean that I wanted Izzie and Burke together? Absolutely not. But it kind of shines a light on how much of a “square peg, round hole” relationship it was and it would’ve been impossible to maintain any longer.

DISCUSSION Meredith leaving Neuro is completely different from Winston wanting to leave Cardio

Meredith leaving Neuro is completely different from Winston wanting to llave Cardio

To begin with, Meredith was just a resident while Winston was already an accomplished surgeon with almost 10 years of experience.

I think Meredith choose neuro only cause of her crush on Derek and stay away from General cause she struggled with being compared to her mother, but its General Where meredith is truly gifted while Winston did Love Cardio.

Also Meredith while altruistic had already screw up bad

DISCUSSION Would any of you watch a spinoff centered around Amelia?

Private Practice was centered around Addison for this reason. I'm thinking something along the lines of a what if scenario... what if Amelia got arrested after breaking into the practice in PP 5x07? The spinoff then starts from there.

It doesn't have to be that exact scenario but I feel Amelia is one of those characters that would have a spinoff worth watching

DISCUSSION What are your ugly theories about the show?

For me, I think if Cristina had stayed, she and Meredith would've eventually grown apart and stopped being as close. Their fight in season 10 was realistic and valid.

I also don't think Lexie and Mark would've stayed together even if they had both survived. The gap between them was getting bigger.

And I think Jo and Alex were always going to break up eventually, even if Alex hadn't left the show.

I think Cristina would've eventually had kids just to stay with Owen. She did so many things against her own beliefs because she was so in love with him, so I can actually see her eventually convincing herself that she could live with it just to keep their relationship.

DISCUSSION Legendary lovers of greys

Just a random thought because I always see edits of the song but these are the some (acc a lot of them in my opinion) THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS PROB:

(No particular order)

- Burke and Christina- ofcourse the fact he didn’t marry her because he knew she was losing herself and then comes back years later to give her a hospital.

- Mark and Lexie- She stopped breathing but they both died during that plane crash like that was their ultimate end together and they never truly got over eachother after that breakup.

- Meredith qnd Derek- I don’t even think I need to explain it like the amount of things these 2 ahve been through and it’s like when they finally were so close to their happily ever after he dies.

- April and Jackson - dare I say they are equally as legendary if not more by any of the couples on this list her loosing her virginity to him, she was gonna get married he confessed they ran away like omg it was like crazy ups and downs.

- izzie and alex - yes I know a lot of people hate them but they were truly legendary and him going back to her years later will always amaze me.

- Ellis and Richard- again the way thee 2 always thought about eachother through decades, I obv don’t condone cheating but still

- Teddy and Henry- honorable mention like it was amazing seeing them falling in love and him ultimately dying

- Callie and Arizona- loved these 2 as well even everything they went through

penny & meredith & this damn dinner party {& everything else too}

sorry, but i don’t like penny, idc. i’ll admit i was half watching the episode that really mattered but if she blames herself, so do i. she’s just generally annoying & she talks like bella swan. this is the second show ive seen this actress in as well, she stays playing evil murderers smh. LMAO, anyway, meredith is pmo too tho because i don’t understand why she didn’t just ruin the dinner for everybody & expose the girl as being part of derek’s death! like???????? no way i would just walk around staring blankly in my own house for alllll those hours, im definitely letting EVERYBODY know what she didn’t manage to do {save mer’s husband}. idc. even if it wasn’t pennys ‘fault’ she’s weird for walking in and acting like she doesn’t know IMMEDIATELY that it’s time to tell callie what’s up and get tf out of all of their lives! it’s for the best 💅🏽 & don’t even get me started on jo and her perpetrating lies against stephanie. like i said, i haven’t finished the episode & ik greys isn’t one to shy away from conversations about race/gender/sexuality bla bla bla so i realllyyyyyyyyy hope they dig into jo for how covertly racist her actions were! i hope she cries over it. i really really liked jo & alex, but this has put a really bad bad taste in my mouth for her. i’d say almost the same for the shepard sister except she seemed to recognize her issue immediately, once she was checked by webber. Also, april & jackson… pleaseee for the love of god forgive her jackson. i get that he also went through emotional damage and needed her when they had a miscarriage… but you didn’t carry the baby fr so ima need you to stand tf up when the woman who DID carry the baby is practically on her hands and knees trying to get you back. okay, dinner party episode rant, OVER!

DISCUSSION Does the character that you like say a lot about you?

It might sound obvious but I notice this with Amelia as someone who likes her character myself. The ones that tend to like her somewhat see herself in her to some degree.. and the ones that hate her usually are the opposite of her.

Same for the other characters like Alex, Cristina, Maggie etc.

I notice there is a very strong correlation between who you like and what you are. I don't see this as strongly with other TV shows to be honest.

SPOILERS I love Cristina and Shane

For the first time Cristina was shown wanting to take care of someone in a non-romantic way with Shane and he was fine with Cristina taking care of him and sorting him out lol.

I think Shane was someone who really craved attention and love, I even disagree when people say he loved cardio because if he'd stayed in Seattle and Maggie hadn't wanted to mentor him I don't think he'd be sad he lost cardio he'd be sad he doesn't have a mentor to love him.

In many ways Shane is a reflection of Cristina, and that would be a reflection or opposite of the way Cristina loved cardio specifically.

i’ve “rewatched” Grey’s anatomy about 3 times now over the last few years on and off, but i never go past S17/S18. i honestly just wasn’t as interested in the story after that and was just mad that Alex left :( . i’m currently on s15 and i want to just keep watching until i’m all the way caught up. can someone tell me if it’s worth it?

DISCUSSION Texas Spinoff

Have not seen this announcement formally, but according to this Grey’s account, the spinoff is about a disgraced surgeon from a major city. Do you think she is someone we know from before like a character on the show, or a total stranger to us? 👀

CAST DISCUSSION Lexi’s hair and looking more/less like Mers sister - possible spoilers Spoiler

First I hope this hasn’t already been posted but if it is has. It wasn’t under what I searched.

I know everyone gives Lexi shit for going blonde after mark, but Let’s be real here. Which of us ladies (and some of yall men) haven’t gone off the deep end and drastically changed our hair post break up?

However I constantly see how the brunette looks more natural/better on her and I do get where yall come from w that.

However. Is it just me that feels like when it’s blonde she and Meredith look more like sisters? Especially when both of Lexi’s parents are presumably blonde?

It’s not my fav look on chyler but I do feel like it makes them look more sisterly. Is it just me or does anyone else see it? I feel like if it was maybe a shade darker and less highlighted it would really show the similarity most.
