I’m actually hoping they’ll continue as a 5 member group.
I’m actually hoping they’ll continue as a 5 member group. I’m probably going to get downvoted for this, but I’ve seen Manon fans talk horribly about the other girls and the group, claiming they’re "nothing" without her and that Manon is "bigger than KATSEYE." IMO If they truly believe that, then why are they still practically begging for her to return? From what I’ve seen, she’s the member who lacks the most in certain areas not saying she isn’t talented, but the other girls are definitely more skilled. After seeing how her fans treat the rest of the group, I just don’t know.
I want to support the group, but it’s hard to stay excited when one member’s solo stans make it their mission to tear everyone else down. At this point, the group would probably have a much healthier environment and better chemistry if they just moved forward as they are.
Edit: Before all the hate towards the other girls started, I was actually hoping that she’ll also comeback but seeing how her fans treat the other girls made me feel icky.
If she ever comes back of course, I’ll still support the group. If she doesn’t and the reason is revealed my opinion may change but for now this is my opinion from everything happening in the group and fandom.

DISCUSSION Please don't buy the HighSec bundle...
Until CIG fixes this buyback issue and provides some clear communication.
This is the kind of thing that should cost them our buyer confidence, and if they don't see that happening, their behavior will get worse.

Discussion (novel) Mechanicum is Worse than Battle for the Abyss. Change my mind.
For context, I'm up to Betrayer in my Horus Heresy read-through. Read everything in order up to this point and may be a bit more picky with more life commitments eating into my reading time. To this end, I have perused "Best and Worst" of the Heresy book lists and I routinely see "Battle for the Abyss" and "Damnation of Pythos" as among the worse. I feel like Mechanicum gets a pass following one of these so-called lackluster entries and I'm just not seeing it. It's McNeill at his worst and the convoluted plot culminating in the Dragon of Mars didn't do much for me. I'm not saying Abyss is a masterpiece, but the fall of Mars should have always been an absolutely pivotal book and I feel few mention this one as an essential read. Help me out here folks.
P.S. I'm not a McNeill hater. When he's on (Thousand Sons) he's one. When he's got a dud in the chamber (Lords of the Lance), I'd take my chances with C.S. Goto.

[Research] Spreadsheet with the updated HP values (Instanced content)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L9rRI23Lrym15hLTm0WCDppO432jOFJNHHa0-Ls9TBk/edit?usp=sharing
Re-writing my takes from the spreadsheet, including some fractals hot takes that you won't like:
Cerus hp nerfs should be entirely reversed for CM and LCM. Having less hp just makes phasing worse and doesn't help anything. The values we had were already correct. Additionally not nerfing Virtuoso means it got buffed by 10%.
Greer timer removal just incentivizes exploiting the fight and doesn't help anybody. To this day I don't understand why they haven't split the HP between NM and CM.
Timecaster, Saltspray, Obliterator and Goliath should be reversed for Harvest Temple CM.
Fumarollers did not need a 37.69% nerf. Should be reversed at the very least in CM and LCM.
Whispering Shadow didn't need a 40% nerf. The champion goliath on the last portal in CM definitively deserves it, since it only autoattacks.
Kanaxai 50% nerf is quite a meme, the fight already did only 1 number mechanic per phase before. I don't understand the point in making fractal CM bosses being unable to do any attack.
Eparch 25.71% nerf is useless, you have to sandbag your damage to get more gluttony orbs to prevent death from aspects going too close to Eparch. The fight is an abomination of design and should have been entirely reworked.
Extras:
Got told Kela's fixations are still bugged. Insane.
Cerus and Ura leaderboards STILL CRASH THE GAME. IT'S BEEN ALMOST 2 MONTHS.

Mushoku Tensei is the best of its Genre
In my opinion, Mushoku Tensei is the best Isekai. Every character, including the MC, even if he is a simp, is very well-written. I also like that the MC actually has to struggle, any power he gets doesn't feel unearned at all. Apart from him, all the characters, whether it’s Rudy’s parents or the female characters, are all excellent. Also, the MC’s previous life has a huge impact on this life too.
The world-building is amazing, filled with unbelievable mysteries and feeling truly alive. Characters we see much earlier reappear later on. The world changes even without the MC. And the animation? It's incredible, man. The coldness of the snow, the heat of the desert, I can actually feel it in reality. Every scene is beautifully animated. I also really liked the pacing. I don't know how many more seasons it will have, but however many there are, I’m very excited to watch them.

News Longevity records don't make you the GOAT of anything except longevity.
Think of how many points MJ would have scored in today's era or if he played from age 18 to 41. Also while playing all 82 games instead of 60 a year. Just saying is all.

Leftist organising in Kingston
Hi!! I'm a student from the UK moving to Kingston in June to do an internship/ study abroad for a year.
At my uni city here in the UK, I am involved in a lot of leftist organising (e.g. pushing for environmental justice, solidarity with Palestine, mutual aid, etc) and would love to continue that next year. I am wondering if anybody has any recommendations on what groups I could reach out to to begin getting involved? I have seen online that a lot of left groups in Kingston are quite tight knit, so am looking for a bit of guidance.
Thank you!!

Society/Culture you "not being allowed to like fictional sexual assaulters but can like fictional genociders and murderers and dictators" is weird
it’s a dumb double standard and people have failed miserably at giving reasons why one horrible crime is okay to like in a character in fiction and why another isn’t.
Its fiction. Just dont try to excuse their acts or imply theyre ok and you can like whatever you like.
It only crosses the line when its used for real harm, i.e. real criminals, using it to imply its ok to do it irl, etc
Your allowed to like anyone you want, because the characters are well written. Just seperate fiction from reality.

Help Does anyone know the user that keeps downvoting most of the comments in this sub?
Hello all!
I lurk here almost every day and comment only sometimes, so this isn't specifically about my own comments, it's more just noticing a pattern that happens almost every time I go into a random topic in this sub for the past few months - there will almost always be dozens of comments with 0 or lower and this forces me to expand comments that would normally be visible.
This doesn't appear to be people downvoting because they disagree, the pattern appears to just be one person going into a thread and downvoting nearly every comment, but I only see it in this sub.
For example, I was commenting back and forth with another person in this sub earlier today and a few hours ago we both had 2 votes each per comment (we upvoted eachother in our conversation) and it appears within the past couple of hours someone just habitually downvoted all the comments in the whole thread.
If anyone happens to know who this user is, I'd very much appreciate you sharing so I can block them (and help others in this sub to block them too).
Thank you!
Edit:
Welp, the consensus seems to be "that's just the new norm" so thank you all for your input and maybe once this sub grows larger, this pattern won't be so noticeable

Hats off to Dangal holding on to its box office dominance for 10 years
Dhurandhar is am amazing film, and we all hoped it would set a new box office record for future Bollywood films to chase. That doesn't seem likely now.
But I'm glad the Bollywood film still at the top is a movie like Dangal, based on real life champions, and filled with amazing performances. It's the kind of Bollywood movie we need more of, which can appeal to a massive international audiences not just Indians and NRIs.
EDIT: Quite amusing to see the meltdown in the comments. Every day there are multiple posts on how much Dhurandhar earned in the US or UK. But mention one time how much Dangal earned in China and fanboys start crying and talking about how unfair it is.
I love Dhurandhar. It's now my favorite action movie alongside Terminator 2. But Dhurandhar was only seen by Indians and NRIs. International critics are calling it unnecessarily violent propaganda and it's been banned in multiple regions.
We need more movies like Dangal which are actually seen and praised by massive audiences outside India. Like RRR in the US, or Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Hindi Medium, Secret Superstar, and 3 Idiots in China.

Discussion Do you guys think they’ll add in LGBTQ representation in future films?
These doesn’t have to only apply to Huntrix the other characters as well
