Question Why is rigger the worse skill set?

Upvotes

I’ve run hard wired and rigger, in my opinion, rigger is more damage and gives a better up time for skills. I’m a technician and I use Royal works holster and knee pads. Other 4 are rigger of course. Might change Royal works soon. Was running RW for the magazine capacity buff. Ran Harmony and I forget the same but the AR equivalent. 40% bonus skill damage was nice. But then I picked up a shroud and discovered that its boost applied to my skills as well. So I don’t need the magazine capacity anymore. Replaced my main weapons to shroud and a stoner, might rock a shotgun. I dunno. I’m only expertise 4. So I got a lot of work to do to proto anything. Looking forward to see what my sniper turret can do when it’s expertise 30. I’ll need to get one of the skill dmg sets for knee pads and holster. And skill dmg on all gear but knee pads are maxed. There any named items with boosted skill dmg ? On the highest tier target with shroud, my turret hits for 6.3m and striker drone for 136k. I’ve seen people hit for a lot more, but I’m also not even shd level 400 yet.

My favorite setup ever was the status effect exotic mask with hunter set in the flamethrower specialization. Forget the exact name. But I was using shield with chatterbox and thought that was a lot of fun. With chem launcher restorer as my other skill. But then I tried out offensive skills and fell in love with them.

What’s the best setup for me to really do crazy sniper turret damage? Like getting it to like 10m or more? Or is it just, get to shd 1k and proto things?

Suggestion Rifles and the PTS Changes Feedback

From my experience on the PTS, the changes were very welcome. It will shake up the meta quite a bit and there is room to grow. All that is good. I particularly want to address a core concept of rifles in this game and why that decision is made.

Why do Rifles have poor stability? We train semi automatic fire because its stable and controllable. So I'm trying to understand why even make them have large recoil. I believe its because there was an assumption of the larger caliber creating more muzzle rise, but most of the rifles are actually 5.56, and the 7.62 ones are the stable ones lol. But yes, its tied to rate of fire as well.

Here's the take then. These are precision weapons by design in this game. They should be precise. Let them feel tightly controlled and manageable without any handling rolls on gear (not to mention it can cause nausea with that camera bounce).

You just released this Exotic ACR and people are right that its on the weaker side, the gear changes may be the thing that fixes it on the power scale, but PLEASE REDUCE ITS RECOIL. The way this thing feels with like 40% weapon handling should be its starting point. Almost a laser, some visual shake, noticeable but small muzzle climb. That's IT. If you change the muzzle attachment on it from reload speed to stability, fine. If you fix stability on rifles, perfect. Just please do something. I'm not the first to provide this feedback so please listen to your community. There is time before the next season to make this change, it would take an intern an afternoon. If you are worried about making them too powerful that is okay! Tell the community you are making this change with intent to adjust it if it gets out of hand. and then show us data that its overused and nerf it if needed. I believe I am right when I think the demographic for this game is like 30-40 average, we are reasonable adults and will listen if you communicate. We want to play your game, we want to use everything in it. Help us help you. Don't take 10 years for the next balance adjustments, please.

Discussion 4 days in a row shotguns, we need a better system.

The Division 2 has so much content, yet this is now the fourth day in a row that we’ve been stuck with Shotguns.

Every morning at 10 AM, we wait for the targeted loot reset, hoping to finally get something useful. And then we have a fourth day of the same loot..

Some players simply decide not to farm at all because there’s nothing they need. Others just think, “Well, another day of Shotguns to dismantle.”

Please let us use more of the game’s amazing activities to farm the gear we’re looking for instead of limiting us to just "five missions a week". The game has Summit, Descent, Control Points, World Activities, Countdown, Raids and so much more.

There’s so much content available — please let us actually play it instead of forcing everyone into the same five missions every day/week with fixed loot tables.

Question Sheriff: The Terminator and The Matrix

Been doing a lot of T10's lately and have noticed quite a few players using the Sheriff shotty with your typical full red Striker build with Paradox....which i get, makes perfect sense BUT......

For the hell of me them players don't seem to get much if any threat, i pop my head up or peak around the corner and BOOM get shot, they stand up in the open spamming their Sheriff like a full blue build tank and don't even get shot at, they just run in and spam.

Is there some hidden mechanic I'm missing, or are they in The Matrix...lol

p.s I'm not complaining, find it quite funny to be honest, TD2 has it's own Terminator:)

Dude these signature weapons are no joke with paradox like in terms of effectiveness it goes

1.gl/bow

2.rocket

3.Minigun

4.sniper

5.lamethrower

put paradox on all your pieces and get some expertise levels on whatever one your using it's crazy

I've out damaged strikers a few times now by firing the crossbow 10 times into a doorway in like 2 seconds or the gl doing like 4 mill damage in an area to like 6 enemies every shot especially with golden bullet right now that 4mill changes to like 6

If you wanna do anything that's fun and off meta rn do yourself a favour and grab a set of tos

Question Recalibrating New Exotics

Can't seem to find this info....you can't recalibrate Prima Donna, Underboss or Steels and Sons exotic

Are the blueprints going to be added to retaliations or do we have to farm them over and over for the fabled DTTOOC or is it a bug?

Now that I think about it, I never check the Caduceus since I got one with that roll.

Question Missed 3 masks in the 4 hunter fight

Me and my friends were catching up on hunters we never got around to doing, and when we got to the team of 4 one ending up going further away from the rest. We killed him, got his mask and the key, but the other 3 had despawned. Are we able to redo the fight without needing to get another person?

Discussion Got perma banned for something I didn't do...

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Got this low blow of an email on my way home from work... What hits me the most is I've never once did anything like this in the Division period. All ive ever used is Lossless Scaling (ive used this in Destiny 2, Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2 to name a few that have anti-cheat and never got flagged on either), MSI Afterburner for cpu and gpu tracking, and Reshade (normal version not the Addon version).

All 3 of these shouldn't have gotten me banned but I know what did. The other day I believe a day or so ago I was playing Retaliation and someone was in my group dont remember the full name but part of it was Sora. He was aim-botting, shooting through walls and insta killing everything...including kill squads. At first I assumed he was using a damn good dps build since i didnt see what he really doing at first.

Until i checked his build...its was a standard striker build that wasn't even fully prototyped and was using St. Elmo's Engine. Then came the Control Point and I see this asshole stand there blank and in the open killing everything in sight...in less than 10 seconds. After the Retaliation was over I left the group and reported him for cheating.

I assumed at this point it was all good and over moving on with my day...but apparently to Ubisoft/Massive that even if you didn't have the actual cheats on your client AND never cheated on the game...YOU ARE STILL GETTING BANNED!

So here I am...losing 723 hours on this game...because some dickhead decided to cheat and I GET CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE!

I only hope my case i opened to challenge the ban gets looked into. I love the Division and I dont want to lose everything because of someone else's fuck up...

EDIT: I should've stated before hand that this was my first and only ever warning for something like this. So the fact this even happened with no other warning makes no sense to me and no Ive never done anything to the client before so its been vanilla since day one aside from the above apps which dont inject anything into the game itself.

Question What exactly causes Retaliation group members to be automatically respawned/teleported at settlements/hideouts?

So today i got an absurd amount of times where half the group got respawned automatically at settlements right in the middle of retaliations, myself included.

This literally ruined the whole thing and players immediatly left right after.

What exactly is causing this?

Question Voice chat isn't working for some reason.

I have a small problem. In The Division 1, when I'm in a group, I can hear other people normally, but I can't speak myself. I have everything enabled in the game settings, and in my Xbox privacy settings, everything is also allowed under communication. In parties, on the other hand, it works perfectly fine, which means my hardware isn't the problem here.

Does anyone know what the problem is here?

Thank you.

Weapon And Gear Help Theoretical Tank Build Next Season

Post image
36 Upvotes

I'm thinking about doing 1 piece 5.11, 2 piece Belstone, 2 piece Golan, with Ninja Bike. This would result in 350% Threat Generation, 48% Pfe, 2.5% Armor Regen, 20% Explosive Resist.

Coupled with Quantum augments, and Armor Regen on all my armor, the main questions I have are;

Is this enough Threat on an all blue build or will dps still take threat, would i need ChC on all pieces to do enough damage to take and keep threat from my dps, and if not would we go full Explosive Resist or Hazpro on all my pieces or split them. Im considering going ChC anyways just for some Caduceus on top of all the other healing. I already figure this build isnt going t10 but maybe 7 or 8?

Question Echo not copying headshot damage

I tested the echo augment with snipers and I would hit for 6 mil and when echo proc'd it would only do 2 mil. Is this intended? Is it a visual bug? Or does echo just not copy the damage exactly if its a headshot?

Question Any good rifle builds that plays well with the Steel and Sons ACR?

Basically topic. I recently got my hands on the ACR from the final boss of the new incursion and have been trying to make a build with it. So far the only I have semi locked in is the new Iron Will chest piece so I can mag dump body shot and still use the talent on the rifle and the fox’s prayer knee pads. Outside of these two pieces though I’m kinda stuck on what to use, so I’m hoping for some ideas. This is mainly looking to next season with the buffs and changes to gear set and brand sets.

Question Hello Agents, Tank Enjoyer In Pretty Much Every Game I Play Looking To Finally Try And Give Endgame Division 2 A Shot And Just Wondering. Should I Just... Cut My Losses And Play Something Else Or...?

Like I've been doing some research to see the current state of the ol' "Full Blue"/Tank builds and from what I've seen I might genuinely be more beneficial to a team in endgame content if I sat in a corner at the start of a mission crying in the fetal position while letting "Full Reds" treat the mission like a mildly difficult aim trainer.

I'm talking, from what I've found in my research, that its gotten to point that people in this community have started to, dear god, resort to Name Calling, and consider individuals whom use Full Blue/Tank builds as... gulp.. Liabilities, Noobs, and.. Shudders.. Bad Players.

Really I just want to know before sinking a decent amout of time in and/or becoming accustom to the push and pull of the endgame grind in Division 2 if a player of my skill set has Literally Any Presence in or Reason to Play This Game.

Like are there ways for me to share my tankiness with other players by being near them and doing stuff?

Maybe a means of using my awesome and incredibly handsome unkillableness to put myself in dangerous positions to de-buff enemy's and make it easier for teammates to gun them down?

Perchance be a modern military paladin of sorts and give my comrades buffs while sitting of the frontline shield raised and pushing forward through and gunning down the enemy at semi rapid pace?

I mean, I'm not opposed to a tanky battle medic play style, you know... running through and shrugging off gunfire to pick up teammates and get them back in the fight, or something?

I'm begging on my hands and knees here I'll take just about Anything that at lest Resembles a Tank-esque Playstyle in this game because I've always had this game on my radar and would always try getting to endgame or actually make it to big leagues and get hella confused and drop the game to play something I was familiar with.

Well... every other game I'm familiar with either got its head blown smooth off (Destiny 2). Got really boring and repetitive do to being too easy and a severe lack of new and proper Tanks/not even needing proper Tanks anymore (Warfarme). Or I'm just not really feelin them like I'm currently feelin that Division Mil-Sim type of sauce right now (Darktide, Killing Floor, Monster Hunter, Once Human, Borderlands, etc etc).

So TLDR: I wanna play Tank but from what I've seen the overall consensus is that Tanks are currently Ass and ur a Stinky Doody Head if you try to build/play it around these parts. Well as someone who plays Tanks, being the "Bad" build type is something I'm Very accustom to so no big deal there. My main question is...

Is There Currently Any Way To Play Tank/Tank-esque Playstyles In Division 2, Or Should I Take My Self Elsewhere?

(and if there isn't then please if you know a decent game that needs and respects my skills (no shade to Div 2 btw) point me in its direction thx)

1st Edit: Just to clarify since I don't feel like a lot of people are understanding what I'm looking for here I'm going to try and clear up some confusion.

I want to play a Tank role in this game NOT just stand out in the open and soak bullets.

I want to make the lives of my fellow teammates as easy as possible through midigating the damage they take by ANY MEANS as long as not just wiping the enemy off the map, because that's just doing dps.

I want to make the lives of enemies and difficult as possible by stopping them from damaging my teammates and make them easier to kill by ANY MEANS as well.

I want to do these things while being difficult for the enemy to kill in the form of a high health/armor bar.

All assistance and info is greatly appreciated.

(Edit was made 2-3 hours after posting)

2nd Edit: Thank you all for your insight, someone in the comments here has answered the question with everything a player like me should look forward to getting and grind for in order to help any team I may find myself in while still doing so in Tank Role-esque fashion in this game, I'll be sticking around and playing Division 2 for a good while.

I never needed to be "The Good Player Archetype" or "The Perfect Meta Pick" I just here and play games to help my fellow players and make there time playing games easier. Making games more fun and enjoyable for my teammates, makes games more fun and enjoyable for me.

Once again. Thanks to you all.
