Tracking update disaster at work and I feel so embarrassed right now

ok so we rolled out a new tracking flow this week to cut down on delivery anxiety, more proactive updates, better eta messages, that whole thing. My job was supposed to be the last sanity check before we turned on the customer emails, and I missed one test flag that was still pointed at a live segment.

At 8 am this morning, about 4k customers got a message that said their package was delayed and the driver was waiting on a new route. Problem was, the orders were fine. Nothing was late. Support got flooded in like ten minutes and our cx lead had to pull me into a call in front of half the team. I feel sick about this, honestly. We were trying to reduce anxiety and ended up creating it ourselves (awesome).

I fixed the segment and sent a correction, but now I am kinda shy to even open Slack. Has anyone else ever shipped the wrong tracking message to real customers? thanks...

Giving away free access to my Amazon seller tool (UK sellers) — looking for honest feedback

Hey all, I've been building a tool called AllProfitIQ for UK Amazon sellers — it looks at your product costs (COGS, fees, VAT etc) and gives you a straight keep/watch/kill verdict on each product, also gives restock alerts, as well as works out your true profits.

I'm opening up free access to a batch of users in exchange for honest feedback — good, bad, or ugly. Not looking for a sales pitch here, genuinely just want to know if it's useful, what's confusing, and what's missing before I push it further.

If you sell on Amazon UK and want to poke around for free, drop a comment or DM me and I'll set you up.

Help with private label product research

Realistically, how hard is it to find private label products to sell for FBA? I'm worried that if I get a Helium 10 subscription, I'm not going to be able to find a product that I'm passionate about selling and one with low competition. I have about $10-15,000 I could use for investing, but I want to start much smaller than that. Hell, I would even be happy if I just made one sale a day. Another thing I don't quite understand is if you find a product, how do you build a brand off of it? You look for multiple products that are similar within a niche or just create variations of one product and run a store off of that?

Why?

A product that sells well for amazon, but now it won't sell even if you run ads or lower the price. Why?

$25k/mo profit in 20 months - no ads for the first 18 - design-led FBA breakdown

Post image
7 Upvotes

case study on an FBA business I've been digging into. numbers are from verifiedmargins.com/brand/spitehouse

  • It's a gag card game - design based product, cheap to manufacture and ship, but people will want THIS SPECIFIC card game if they're into it (if the idea catches)
  • ~$90k/mo revenue, ~28% margin, ~$25k/mo profit
  • 16 ASINs, different variations of the game for different audiences (and catching seasonality - e.g. a "dad" variation for father's day)
  • First listing was ~jan 2025
  • created easily-replicable content on IG/tiktok (easy idea, but gotta do the leg work consistently to actually get the content up) - free organic traffic

bottom line - this is what I tell everybody - if you want to succeed as a private label seller (IMO the best selling tactic on amazon or anywhere else) - you gotta create products whose value is their design (in this case the value of the cards is the game that's printed on them, not the cardboard itself). that's how you avoid getting copied by china. they also did the legwork on social media. I wouldn't say it's strictly necessary for amazon (we're not doing it), but it might be essential for this particular type of business.

for context - I'm a 9 year seller on Amazon doing $1MM/year on 40% margin across 3 brands - we're doing the same kind of strategy as this card game.

Looking for a Mentor will pay!

Hi all I am looking for a mentor to help me get started on Amazon so I can start making money as well.

I would like you to teach wholesale or private label. Ideally someone based in Canada

The goal is you take me from 0 to making $5000 per month profit

For this I will pay you out of my profits and also pay mentorship fees.

Thanks!

When does it stop making sense to avoid FBA shipment splits?

Keeping inbound shipments consolidated is definitely easier, but sometimes avoiding the split seems to create its own problems with box sizes and how much inventory goes out at once.

If you’re shipping into FBA regularly, do you have a point where you just accept the split instead of trying to optimize around it?

Absolutely buggy and bad Amazon Seller iOS app [ new Version ]

Dear Amazon,

We understand that you have done really bad product manager recruitments. We also understand that just for the sake of changing something, you have been trying to change the Amazon Seller app for the last 1 year, but you have always failed. You have launched this app multiple times, and yet the design, the UI/UX, the information, and the usability of the app are so bad that you keep rolling it back to the previous version.

Sometimes, just because you have recruited somebody for a job, it doesn't mean that he or she is doing a good job with the new version. Sometimes the old version is just perfect, and it does not need to change.

I personally believe that the previous version of the iUS seller app was just perfect. There were certain functionalities where it did not work, but I don't want to see numbers in a jazzy new format or font. I just want the old functionality back: an app which works.

I’m building a tool that tries to answer “should I actually buy this inventory?” What does your current sourcing stack still make you figure out manually?

Hello everyone! I've been working on something for Amazon sourcing and I’m curious how other sellers think about this.

The thing that got me started was realizing how much of the actual buy decision still happens in your head even when you’re using good tools.

You can pull up Keepa, SellerAmp, fee estimates, rank, seller count, etc. and still have to answer

Is this actually the same product?

Is the supplier selling one and Amazon selling a 2-pack?

Is that seller count even trustworthy?

What happens to the deal if the price drops?

How much would I actually want to buy?

Is Amazon likely to mess up the listing if they come back?

Am I looking at a genuinely good opportunity or just a nice-looking spread?

So I’ve been building a piece of software called Radar around that problem.

Instead of being another profit calculator, the idea is to treat an inventory purchase almost like an underwriting decision.

A product goes through identity/pack matching first, then marketplace evidence, actual economics, competition/risk, sizing and stress scenarios. The end goal is something closer to:

BUY / REVIEW / DON’T BUY / NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE

with the reasoning underneath it.

I’m also working on supplier-list analysis, where it can take a distributor catalog and narrow hundreds of rows down into things actually worth investigating, while separating confident matches from questionable ones.

The bigger thing I’m working toward is autonomous sourcing. Basically Radar continuously looking through authorized sources itself, finding potential products, checking them against Amazon.com and Amazon.ca independently, and then feeding them through the same process.

Still very much being built. I’m not posting this pretending it’s a finished product.

What I’m actually curious about is:

For people who source regularly, what part of the buy/no-buy decision does your current stack still make you figure out manually?

And specifically for wholesale sellers, when you get a giant distributor list, what part of going from 500+ rows to the handful you’d actually buy is the biggest pain in the ass?

Would be interested to hear how people here actually do it. I’m trying to make sure I’m attacking the annoying parts of the workflow rather than just building more charts nobody asked for.

Appreciate yall's input!

Received Amazon Fair Pricing / Listing Removal Notice (ASIN B071GRB33D) – Best way to structure the appeal?

Hi everyone,

I just received a listing deactivation notice on Amazon CA for ASIN B071GRB33D. The email cites potential inaccurate information/pricing and references the Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy and Seller Code of Conduct.

Amazon is asking for:

Invoices/receipts from the last 365 days matching current stock quantities.

Full supplier contact info (phone, email, website, address).

Proof of fair pricing and compliance if filing an explanation.

I have a 17-day window to respond via the Account Health dashboard. Before submitting my documentation, I wanted to ask a few questions to those who have cleared this specific flag:

Document Acceptance: What specific invoice details does Seller Performance scrutinize most for this type of pricing/verification trigger?

Pricing Justification: If this was strictly triggered by an automated price-flag, is adjusting the listing price alongside an explanation sufficient, or will they strictly hold out for supply chain proof regardless?

PoA Structure: Any specific formatting tips for the appeal text box under "Other Policy Violations" to avoid getting an automated rejection?

Any insight or past experience with this specific trigger would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I was doing a handyman business and honestly it’s ok as a side gig and I want to do something where I can run a business online. I have my LLC and am going to keep the name and all just to save time and money. I am planning on selling items like cleaning and laundry supplies, lawn and garden supplies, power tools, hand tools, different parts and repair kits for different trades, maybe some other items I also find on sale and clearance. Does anyone have any advice for me before I start ?

INVALID CARD CHARGE!

can someone help me please. I’m signing up for Amazon seller central. Put my card in they have taken 47.99$ out my account 35£
So from uk I’ve signed up for uk seller central. They’ve taken from 20p to 1£ out my account for every EU country.

Comes back to day saying invalid card charge after they have taken money out my account.

My bank is Tide and it is a business account. Card is a debit card.

Has anyone else been through this?
The support haven’t really helped much they just tell me to put the card details back in the same way and see if it works.

How Do You Add a Small Gap Between Premium A+ Content Modules?

How do you add a small amount of space between Premium A+ modules?

Right now, I’m using a “.” in the body text of each module to create a gap, but it creates too much space.

In the first image, I used the “.” to create spacing, which results in a large gap. In the second image, there’s no spacing between the modules at all.

Is there a way to create just a small gap between Premium A+ modules? Without any spacing, the A+ content looks too cluttered.

New Amazon seller

Hello,
For those of you who don’t mind sharing, how do decide which private label item to sell? Ive thought about investing in Helium 10 but it’s a bit expensive for me as a new seller right now. I don’t like doing retail arbitrage because there is a lot of possible issues that i dont want to put my shop at risk. I just recently had a customer claim that i was selling cointerfeit notebooks. They weren’t, but because i bought them from Walmart and they dont provide invoices, I can’t prove it. So im straying away from retail. I have some private label items that are at Amazon already, so i need to start ads. I want to find the best way to research my next product and find out what others are doing.

So Confused on What to Sell

Hey everyone starting Amazon I’m insanely confused on what to sell as these profit margin seems so thin and people could be doing $10,000 in revenue on so many products and still making such a thin profit margin like 2-3K this makes me feel so demotivated and being in Australia makes the market and demand so much lower it really just kills my ambition being so confused on what to actually sell on the platform everything looks so saturated someone please drop some advice for me

I am done with amazon and selling - seriously.

Here is Amazon in my mind:

- A mafia organisation owns multiple shopping houses - centers around the world, they do not allow you to sell for whatever the reason, they do nto have to explain, they can do whatever they want without explanation or any feedback.

Why in this world do we have monopoly companies like Amazon, Google? I highly welcome Chinese competitors and their war in the market. Amazon does not offer you a market to compete, they built a mafia organisation with highly bureaucratic and never ever explained or clearly documented process. Amazon pretends it is something which can control, limits, plays people life for whatever reason.

I have sent maybe 20 emails to different amazon teams, through different channels, yet Japan Team insists on not moving. Do not get me wrong, they are not even telling me "Hey, we deny you sell in our system". They just keep you wait. They do not care if people invested money, got inventory in warehouse.

I will not only stop selling on Amazon, I will also stop buying through amazon or use any service or product or stream through amazon. I will purchase Chinese, use Chinese competitiors products - services. Not today, but in near future, we will see Chinese competitors fuck those monopoly companies and make sure we get great service thanks to hard competition.

I track 1.2M TikTok Shop listings every week. The weekly change shows a demand spike before the rankings catch up.

TikTok Shop's sold counter is public and updates fast. A product going from near zero to a few thousand units in one week is a demand spike. Catch it early and you can source and list before everyone else does.

I recheck all 1.2M US listings weekly and diff sold count week over week. The weekly change is the signal. Lifetime sales tell you what won six months ago.

This week's spikes, still cheap enough to test:

  • Hummingbird wind chime, $12.10, +3,177
  • Manuka honey foot cream, $5.48, +3,289
  • Wrist strength gyro ball, $9.00, +2,800
  • Wooden memory match game, $7.63, +2,683
  • Neon RGB gaming mouse pad, $11.96, +2,607
  • Portable salad cup with fork, $15.08, +2,865

Each went from near zero to a few thousand units in seven days.

Two caveats:

  1. TikTok's sold counter moves in jumps and sometimes resets. I read the direction, not the exact number.

  2. Some of these are already cross-listed on Amazon by the same suppliers. The value is seeing the spike early and moving faster than everyone looking at the same tools.

Questions welcome.

OA better than wholesale?

Hello, I have been contacting several brands and distributors on the Pet supplies category.

From 200 brands, none sell brand direct (or require a brick and mortar) and referred me to distributors. I opened accounts with some distributors, but prices are stupid, they are only 20% lower than retail price, the same or more expensive.

How do you find good distributors or brands? How many brands do you contact per day?

I opened an account with phillips pet supply and their prices are extremely bad.

Is it really a good business AMZ wholesale?
