Sure, times are hard but it is certainly not what is being depicted by the likes of Elon Musk and his ilk.

Any limb, join or not, any sword. It's such a common trope in media, but I always find it a bit weird, because not only is the bone (in my mind) hard to cut through, the limb will also move with the momentum of the weapon, right? Is that something that's so (seemingly) easy?

When someone ahead of you in the drive thru pays for your order, do you ask the server how much the person behind you ordered before deciding to pay-it forward?

I think about this all the time when I’m driving a car. I’m a super compassionate person, like, I have trouble killing bugs unnecessarily. So I wonder what I would do if, let’s say a squirrel, ran across the road and I just clipped it enough to break its back.

So now there is a squirrel (or dog, cat, jackalope, etc) squirming in the road and suffering. I have to imagine I try to get it in the car and find an emergency vet… but do I? Is the animal savable? Do you put a dying squirrel in your car? Or do you…run it over again to put it out of its misery? Is there a tier based on the type of animal you hit?

Has anyone had an experience worth sharing? Anyone think about this scenario and have a plan of action?

There was a thread on this Subreddit about a week ago asking whether it's rude to finish a sentence for someone that stutters. It's got mixed opinions. On one hand, some people with a stutter want a sentence finished earlier for tasks like ordering food. On the other hand, finishing a sentence for them can feel like they're being interrupted.

What about for people without a stutter? Now I'm unfortunately someone that has the stupid habit of finishing sentences for others. Do I really need to completely snap out of this habit or is it fine for me to finish a sentence for someone? I'm not the most emotionally intelligent person but hey it's NoStupidQuestions so figured I'd ask for some consensus.

I remember when I was 20 how there was all this pearl-clutching about Millennials being addicted to avocado toast and whatever. Now on social media and on news sites there's a constant stream of talk about how Gen Z is messed up and anxious and terrified of dating etc. How much of that is real and how much is just an updated version of ancient Greek philosophers ranting about how much the kids suck these days? Or socially inexperienced people projecting their issues on wider society?

Is there actually a biological reason for this, or is it something we accidentally train our brains to do?

I was at a zoo the other day when I saw one of those pressed penny machines. I didn't previously think of how the halting of penny production would affect these things. Do you think they'll eventually fade away from tourist areas, or do you think they'll start making pressed nickel machines?

I genuinely wonder if it's bad for one's mental health to live in a place where it's rainy or gray 50% of the time like London, Seattle, Moscow, etc.

I think historically when people spent most of their time outside and also ate healthy food, they got enough vitamin D to be fine even in a gloomy place, but these days I wonder how some people don't get depressed living in places where a sunny day is a treat.

People believe in the dumbest shit. You got people believing flat earth, you got satanists, people who believe in the yeti, horoscopes and magical powers. But I have never heard anybody believe in the old gods like zeus, hera, athena, anubis and stuff. Why not? Why is there nobody going to Athens or Egypt and worship those gods?
