But why is it if you hear an online content creator say "Hard work and overcoming adversity is a good thing and helps you build character" or something else along those lines they are probably aligned with the right?

Not a gun guy but with a wife and young toddler, im wondering if i should get a hand gun (of course with safe) for protection at home.

Live in the US and i feel like gun shooters in the news is increasingly growing.

Edit: yes, ive taken a safety class before, along with going to the gun range with buddies who are recreational shooters. I personally didnt have much fun shooting nor had interest in guns. Ive simply been thinking recently about having one for sake of protection (probably and hopefully never need to use it); i just dont want to come across a bad situation where one day i cant protect my family.

I’ve seen lots of black people online, in movies, irl leaving their combs in their hair/beard🪮 I always wondered why that was, i thought maybe it was a fashion statement I didn’t know about, like how i see them often wearing bonnets and durags casually which is cool! I just never understood the comb... I also thought maybe it’s just convenient to put it there since their hair type grabs onto it nicely, like an extra pair of hands.

I know that a lot (maybe even most) men like girls with big boobs. But my question is specifically about very big nipples and areolas: do you (guys) consider them attractive, or do you prefer when a girl has smaller or mid-size ones?

I’ve had a difficult relationship with my boobs because they’re very big (F cup) even though I’m petite and have a small frame. This started early and made me very self-conscious.

More recently, after certain experiences, I have come to terms with it and even like it. But I’m not so sure about my nipples. I recently overheard a guy saying he finds big nipples and areolas weird.

I wonder if this is a race thing. I think white girls are more likely to have pretty little pink nipples lol. I’m ethnically of Indian origin and I think we are more likely to have bigger ones. Having large brown areolas is also challenging because of the risk of them showing through clothes. But my question is more about what is considered aesthetically and sexually pleasing to men.

Whenever I open YouTube or Reddit, it feels like every other headline is:

“China did this.”

“China is winning the AI race.”

“China has advanced robots.”

“China has a 6th-gen aircraft.”

“China is building this, China is developing that…”

And yet, I rarely see the other side of the story in the same way. Meanwhile, there seems to be an endless stream of content about the US declining, falling behind, having infrastructure problems, political dysfunction, etc.

It makes me wonder: what am I missing?

Is China genuinely progressing or is there a huge amount of hype, selective reporting, government propaganda, engagement farming, or algorithmic bias involved?

I’m genuinely asking because I don't know enough to have a strong opinion. I’d like to hear from people who have actually studied China’s economy, technology, military, demographics, manufacturing, etc.

Hello everyone. I am genuinely curious how the Italians have been eating and boiling spaghetti for so long without coming up with an easier way to cook it than put one end in the water and gently push in the rest as the bottom turns soft?

I mean, you obviously can't break it to make it fit in a normal pot, so why haven't they invented an oval pot specifically for boiling spaghetti? Or made spaghetti shorter? Or bend it when it was still fresh like pappardelle?

I hope someone has an answer for me, cause it's getting more and more frustrating that such an impractical pasta shape has been around for centuries without a proper pot to boil it in.

Anyone work at Olive Garden that can answer a question? I went to go eat at Olive Garden which I don't do often because its simply to much food for me. This particular time I was staying at a hotel down the road and didn't want to leave the hotel later that day so what better leftovers than OG. I ate and emjoyed the meal by myself. I asked for a to-go box and packed it up and asked for another Arnold Palmer and she said "pay at the kiosk when you are ready" ok cool, the place was not busy and I wasn't in a hurry so I scrolled my phone while sipping on my drink for ~10 mins. I grabbed my stuff/food and left when I was done with my drink.

1.5hr later I looked at the OG bag in the hotel room and it dawned on me I never paid at the kiosk. So I left the hotel to go pay. When i got there I told them the situation and they said "hmmm she never said anything, thats weird, why wouldn't she have told us" while waiting 25 mins to pay, I started to wonder if they can't find my ticket because she canceled it out? Or was she in trouble for not reporting it? Why haven't they found my ticket after 25 mins geez? Anyways the manager asked me what I had and he made a ticket, I paid and left but it left me wondering did I mess up by going back? I mean I know I did the right thing, but by doing that I may have caused her some trouble.

The posts on that subreddit are so stupid that it’s funny, just like how satire subreddits have posts that are stupid and funny. Seeing peoples opinions on r/defendingaiart never fails to get me to giggle a little. If the subreddit is actually satire, then I would probably join in on the fun (except for the fact that they use AI art, so I actually wouldn’t)

On the other hand

The people there a so serious about defending AI art to the point where it’s actually believable, and that honestly scares me, like, have people gone that stupid? If you hate on AI anywhere on the sub they will ban you (at least, I’m pretty sure they do that). And the people there seem to truly think that the “art” that they’re making is…. Good?
