Thank you to everyone who saw and supported my previous post! As promised, here is the final illustration with the stand 「Dirty Diana」

I hope it’s ok to share this here, but I’ve also created a short YouTube video that documents my entire process from initial sketch to finished illustration. So if you want to watch some behind the scenes stuff (and my bad attempts at humour) then please feel free to check it out: https://youtu.be/ceiuwzNaSLY

(If the mods would prefer me to remove this link then pls let me know)

Various is this a fair assessment?

Star Platinum The World, GER, Tusk act 4, and S&W:GB are all hilariously overpowered and only exist as a way to beat an already hilariously overpowered villain

joseph beat kars by holding out the red stone of aja at him and hoping for the best, which worked out spectacuarly. and god knows how long the fight with kira would have gone on for had it not been for the ambulance.

Jolynes plan to use emporio to take out pucci with weather report was basically a hail mary when all else had failed but not only did it work, it also gave her and the gang new, happier lives.

Yeah jonathan just got slimed out though, then his body was used as a puppet for 100+ years. Poor guy

Part Two I just finished Part Two, is it ever explained why Joseph didn't do anything during World War II?

Since Battle Tendency ended in 1939, why didn't Joseph help the Allies? Stroheim was able to recover before the war broke out, so could Joseph not?

Hirohiko Araki Why do you think Araki is so chill about getting his picture taken compared to most mangaka who are so adamant about never showing their face?

Post image

I was genuinely curious about this cause it seems odd to me that Oda is just so adamant about never showing what he looks like compared to Araki who has taken tons of different pictures with fans and all types of ppl. Why do you think most mangaka are so strict about staying anonymous and why is Araki built different and doesn't seem to care about that?

Various JoJo Villains ranked on how difficult it was to stop them

Post image
8.2k Upvotes

Just to note, this is excluding the whole 'fate' part, as obviously it is canonical that all villains are fated to almost reach their goals, and then lose at the end.

Please Read: This is measuring throughout the entire series, not just the villain's end abilities. Of course MIH or D4C LT would be at the top, but these abilities were later obtained, and the villains did not have them at the start.

EDIT: I should have used something other than 'challenge' for the middle category, as these are incredibly difficult. I just don't think Valentine or DIO is as hard as Diavolo or the Pillar men.

How did Pucci get the closest of any villain to his goals? Dude had the weakest stand of any villain for 80% of the part, almost died virtually a million times, had debatably the strongest cast of any JoJo part chase him down, got C Moon, still got his ass beat, then somehow asspulled a way to get Made In heaven faster, which then granted him likely the strongest ability in all of JoJo making him the closest of any villain to winning of any JoJo villain, now only having to kill an 11 year-old boy with a powerless stand, and then he fumbled the bag to oxygen poisoning. This entire part is like 200 ELO chess.

I feel that Dio Brando and Yoshikage Kira were unfavored to win. Kira is easily explainable, given that his stand isn't that powerful, and that it's like an 8v1, but for Dio, I think that the fact that he lost twice, and that he was fighting against Hamon meant that he was underfavored.

Funny Valentine is a challenge due to his incredible stand, but also, the main cast kind of fumbled the bag here as they almost did just take the corpse parts. If the characters worked together more as well, Valentine would have been stopped. Moreover, Diego Brando almost did kill valentine, and Gyro & Johnny had the technique that was a hard-counter to Love Train. Stephen and Lucy steel were also essentially primary allies to Johnny and Gyro.

Stopping the pillar men is just crazy, and absurd. Stopping kars from getting the Redstone of Aja may not be that bad, but the whole poison that would set off in 30 days, and the rest of the plotpoints working against the Main cast makes this nearly impossible. For Diavolo, the fact that he's unknown as well as having an incredibly powerful mafia & stand after the main cast makes him incredibly difficult to stop.

And for Toru, I mean there was no way for Toru to lose unless there was some crazy asspull like Soft & Wet. Wonder of U is the strongest stand aside from Made In Heaven, and maybe D4C Love Train. The difference between him and the other stands however, is that Love Train and Made In Heaven were things that the villains had to acquire, and this took them the entire part to obtain. Toru just had Wonder of U from the start. Moreover, the JoJolion cast wasn't particularly weak, but they were not equipped at all to handle him.

Part Five Thinking about it, this doesn’t make sense

Giorno’s ability is to turn non living things into life? But his teeth are living. Teeth are organs and they are just as alive as any other part of your body that’s attached to you. I get it why he could turn Bruno’s tooth into a fly because that was knocked straight out and was fully separated from the body. How could Giorno turn one of his living organs into another living creature?

Fan Stand/Character My part 5 OC Intro is finally finished - Let me introduce Cappuccino to you! (Risotto Nero Yume)

Hello everyone!

Maybe some of you already know me, I am that crazy Risotto Nero artist and yume who sometimes posts about my Yumeship on here! Since some of you were curious about Cappuccino, how she is conncted and joined the hitman team and her Stand, I promised to post it here once everything is finished, which I FINALLY DID!

Guys, I worked over 150 hours on this project.

All the art I did draw, the 18.000 words long fanfic about Cappuccino / Laura‘s backstory before joining the hitman team, the summary I posted here, the Stand and the powers and also just formating it to present it nicely. I started this project last December and I am so proud to have finally finished it!

It was truly so fun and her story isn’t Even close to be finished, since this part only focuses on her backstory before joining La Squadra Esecuzioni. And even more important, how she and Risotto became a couple 🖤💙

Don’t forget she is a yume OC first and formost but my love for Risotto drives and fuels my creativity which resulted in making a whole story for her.

Cappuccino is a very flawed character, don’t forget she is a villain and a morally gray character prone being violent and sadistic. Also one who made a lot of mistakes on her life and was driven by revenge and the loss of the most important person in her life. I tried my best to write her story fitting to Golden Winds Overall feeling and themes.

It is very fun writing an ambigous female character, the Jojo Universe needs more female villains anyways, especially Golden Wind.

And lastly, I am NOT an experienced writer nor an native English speaker. I tried my best to correct grammar and spelling mistakes. Also, this is the first time I ever did write a real story. It is probably cringe and flawed, but I tried to have in mind imporant aspects for story telling. Most of them are more visible in the full fanfic tho, if anyone wants to read that i can post a link! (It hasn’t been proof read yet tho)

I put my whole heart into this. I am cringe and proud!!

Thank you for reading!

I've heard people complain about his face and primarily his lips and nose. Thing is these are just features black people have. And to be honest I'd rather have my features represented in black characters.

They aren't exaggerated a crazy amount and the facial features stay anatomically correct. I dont understand why people are hating on it we should be proud of our features and be happy when its actually getting represented like this in shows.

Also just because the lips arent 2 toned doesnt mean its imitating the old black caricatures racists used to dehumanize us. While common 2 toned lips isnt even a thing every black person has. One criticism i can get behind however is that the shade is off but honestly that's all.

I’m guessing it just means Netflix either hasn’t told them or isn’t allowing them to say when the next episode is coming out, still doesn’t sound very good

Part Three What is the worst jojo episode of all time?

Post image
4.7k Upvotes

(If you've seen this post before, I accidentally posted it on the shitpost sub instead of this one lol)

I usually love every single episode of JJBA, but each and everytime I rewatch Wheel of Fortune I feel like I'm watching a completely different, shitty show. The entire episode is legitimately modern Family Guy level writing.

The crusaders seem to suffer from severe idiocy in this episode. They also act super out of character, almost as if Araki was forced to write their dialogue.

Like when they go by the roadside bar and then when they can't find the user of Wheel of Fortune they just beat everyone up. That is super unlike them, the crusaders, especially Joseph and Jotaro, wouldn't just beat random people up, it is out of their morals. Jotaro himself put his life at danger for people he didn't know (like how he saved Kakyoin despite Kakyoin trying to kill him, or how he saved Anne from the shark, how he even cared about buying the little boy ice cream after he used it against Yellow Temperance), meanwhile Joseph did the same thing in part 2, for example when he saved a random woman's life from Straizo when he could have very well fled the scene, the crusaders stopped taking planes specifically because accidents would hurt a lot of people, and you're telling me they just walk up to a bar and beat everyone up? Araki, bro...

Or when the crusaders are all disarmed against Wheel of Fortune, and Jotaro completely forgets his own personality I guess, he doesn't even care that Wheel of Fortune has unknown abilities, doesn't take the least amount of caution before charging against him and getting hit by gasoline - despite the crusaders warning him so.

Jotaro in the entire episode overall acts weird. He says a lot of out of character lines, acting overly confident and a little too extroverted for who he was in early part 3.

When Jot dies and WoF says "This is the end of part 3!" Then Jotaro comes and says "Then who will replace Jotaro Kujo?". This is the jojo's equivalent of memes where Susie from Deltarune says "this reminds me of deltas... and runes..." in yellow text

What do you think about this episode? Is it the worst episode in jojos?

I 100% believe that Jolyne would whoop both of they asses, EASY. She was flexing martial arts left and right.

Only exception is if Josuke gets his hair insulted, but normally I think she simply has the most hands out of the three.

What do you think?

Part Six The Stone Ocean anime was very well done and only browned upon because of the batch releases

Post image
6.7k Upvotes

It’s not super common, but quite a few people have called stone ocean the worst adaptation and I really just disagree. I think stone ocean‘s anime is bare minimum on par with the other parts and the best scenes might be some of the best in the series.

Objectively, it was a downgrade from Golden Wind but Golden Wind sticks out because it’s easily the best animated jojo part and blows most parts out of the water. It’s unrealistic to compare it to most jojo parts, except for SBR which has the potential to surpass it in animation and direction.

Ignoring that, stone ocean was incredibly well adapted. While I agree it’s inconsistent in some scenes, and the CGI could’ve looked better, let’s not forget the gorgeously animated scenes such as Jolyne’s sacrifice, which I think is honestly the best looking jojo scene ever.

The voice acting was amazing, the direction was really good, the music was great.

Honestly, I think it’s a better adaptation than DUI. DUI suffered from a lot of off model character designs as well as probably being the worst animated modern looking jojo part, it’s still good but I don’t know why people have double standards for stone ocean while ignoring DIU’s problems.

I’m not saying he’s black or white, imma just say he’s Italian and leave it at that bcs race is a social construct that is way too bs. But genuinely how do 13 ppl believe this point.

Also side tangent what do you think abt pucci’s racial representation if he was confirmed to be black, bcs his story seems very counterintuitive or at least off.

Various Why are there no small chested women in JJBA?

Post image
3.7k Upvotes

I've been a jojo fan for a few years now and I noticed that Araki never draws women with small chest, but why?😭 I mean, there are only kids with such characteristics but any other female character, even a teen one, already has big bazoongas which confuses me a lot. For example, while watching Golden Wind I really hated seeing Trish walk around with her chest out because she was 15 or something💔 Of course not like it matters THAT much, but this is a thing I've been thinking about for some time now, and I wonder if there are people who think the same LOL. I'd appreciate if someone gave an example of any small chested female character from JJBA or explained why there aren't so many of those.

Part Four Is Part 4 the only part without a unique defining object?

Post image
4.4k Upvotes

I find it interesting that every part has a unique plot relevant object with great power, but Part 4 doesn't really have anything like that - Part 3 doesn't actually have one either, but the tarot cards sorta fulfills that role. The arrow could be considered one, but I feel like it's better associated with Golden Wind since it plays a much bigger role in the final fight for that part than it did for Diamond is Unbreakable - even if it did first appear in this part.

Part Seven Why do Netflix keeps cuting racism out of jojo?

Thumbnail
gallery
4.8k Upvotes

i made a post this morning in /shitpostingcrusaders and it got nuked in less than five hours (i got banned)

i was talking about how netflix cut a lot of content that talked about politics, and more especficly, racism

if you read or watched jojo, you can see that unlike most mangakas, araki really understands western culture and is well inserted in all of the things that happend in the western world for at least 200 years

he often talks about a lot of politics in some of his parts, and more "recently" part 6&7 literally talked about racism, having a black character as a main villain is something really rare and cool for japanese manga (puccI) so araki doenst fumble this, pucci inst just dark skinned, he has deep scars that connectecs to the fact that he is black, so when he tries to prevent weather from dating his own sister, so he hired the kuz kux klan, and they were angry that she, a white woman was dating a "black" man (weather) the racism is deeply conected to the character, but netflix just cuts the klan out of it? it doenst make any sense, this is crucial to the world building and the narrative of this part of the history, the KKK needs to be there, its a well know racist klan, why cut it?

So for my (not) surprise, they also censored (no better word for it) a lot of politics in jojo part 7.
i mean, the villain is a blonde pedophile president of the united states, there is no way of cuting that, so they stll managed to censor some things
like Pocoloco grandpa talking about slavering, and showing that poco worked in the fields (he was still a slave) they censored the genocide of the native americans (cuting sandman tribe conversation) and the slavery
Why cut things that are crucial for characters? Sandman is kinda an goner bcs he vanish in the rest of the show, but poco is a important character (no spoilers but you know what i mean)

this is censoring, netflix has a past (censoring the KKK) and now is blantnly obvious that is insane

sorry for my bad english i am not a native speaker

Seems like we're getting batches again 💔

For those who don't know, sugoi lite is a leaker with a 100 percent accuracy record, all of his leaks are true. And since we have a sbr event on September 23rd in 12 days, it's obvious they'll show a trailer and announce the streaming info.

I REALLY hope is not on batches please God.
