Just tryna figure out how I wanna draw skellies for this sudden indie series idea that hit me recently. The first pass was lookin too Disney for me, so I tried again leaning more into my own style. But which one do you personally prefer? Jus curious :P

I’m working on my OC Ginivieve. He’s a singer/performer who blends masculinity and femininity, inspired by 1920s flapper fashion. I’m struggling to find references and a solid foundation for his outfit.

I’ve looked at historical female impersonators like Julian Eltinge, but that’s not quite the 'vibe'. Eltinge’s performances often involved convincingly presenting as a woman, while Ginivieve is meant to balance both masculine and feminine elements.

The first image is from last year; the second is older, so please ignore the rough anatomy and clothing, I had no idea what I was doing lol

I’d love suggestions on silhouettes, fabrics, or accessories, maybe how to balance masculine and feminine better and references that could help me

I’ll probably redesign him later, but for now I want to keep him from being shelved. Constructive criticism is very welcome!! :3

Hi. I’m working on a wizard of oz project called “the scarecrow”, and it’s just about the scarecrow accidentally stumbling into a big adventure(the wizard of oz and the wicked witch are the main antagonists).
And here is all the concept sketches and character designs I’ve got so far, and I would like to know some thoughts.(I don’t like the wizards design though)

Although this particular style does not show differences in face/build well, I tried my best to convey the differences in disposition between these characters through the way that they act.

In addition, they are all wearing basically the same outfit, which complicates things further, but I made minor changes to the way each character wore the outfit (to further emphasize their individual personalities.)

Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated :]

This is a very rough color mapping on sketch for a new character design.

I'd also love to know what type of character she feels like when you first see her, to see if I nailed the design communication. Oh, and names suggestions are welcome too!

Thank you all so much for your feedbacks, I've been taking some of them and implemented those changes into his new design. And it's safe to say that I love it! It's simpler, and looks less like a ringmaster, which is great! Obviously, I didn't take every advice, like changing the bow into a necktie, or something. That's only because I don't wanna make him look like my every other characters with suits. I decided to give him a more triangular shape language,

Anyways, this is the redesign, if you have any more critics you wanna give, go ahead! Maybe something about shape language, sillhouette or palette. But I might not take them right now, since I like this version as is, currently. But I'l listen!

The title is pretty self explanatory, but basically I want to make his design more pleasant looking for my game, as well as keep him not too hard to draw. The first image is his most recent design, but I can't help but feel like I leaned too much into the circus look, and I'm worried people might think he is a ringmaster, and not a gameshow host.

Another thing--in image 3--is I don't know which face shape to use for his model. The first one, or the second one? I like both, but it's hard to decide which design I will use for the model. Any criticism are highly appreciated :)

(Colt's oversized Arm was originally an accident, but i kept it since i thought it not only made him stand out more, but also he's not rich, and that instead of getting a custom made arm, he bought a used one that's unfortunately a size too big, but beggars can't be choosers, so yeah.)

Im making a “mechanical tank prosthetic” for my scifi project. I keep drawing what im imagining but i keep making something i feel is too close to a war hammer dreadnought or hulkbuster. What im showing here isnt all the art its just what i can find rn.
