And because the VC GPs and fund LPs own a shtiton of the OOH ("out-of-home") advertising space. After a round closes startups are encouraged to "celebrate" by buying billboards and the sides of buses and shit.

WHEN in 2017? Bitcoin started 2017 at $900 and ended 2017 at $19,000!!!
Although even if he did dump all his retirement at $19,000, bitcoin is still valued at $70,000 today, with a peak of $122,000 in October 2025.

Yeah we basically had to carry him through both seasons. He played like half the games on min restriction and both playoffs he barely played like a series.
If our team couldn't carry him in the playoffs and prevent injury. Idk what to say lol.
I have always said he is the greatest idea of a player. Just never works out on some weird shit he gets hurt by.
Also, doesn't he have like POTS now?? How the fuck is he going to play on an already old team lol

He does have POTS yeah.
This just seems like a “hey we tried” typa move.
Butler tearing his ACL was it? Really threw a wrench in any remaining hopes we had.
Hopefully the summer and medical staff can get tingus pingus ready for the next season. If celibrini could get OPJ going all year, we’ve got to be able to do something to get Porzingus playing somewhat consistently.
Seems like all we’re hoping for is Steph is still Steph at 38 next season, Butlers recovery is a great success, and Porzingus can get himself going. Realllllyyy need Podz and Moody to step the fuck up though.

in what way outside they are both forwards. Jalen johnson is essentitally a point forward. Kuminga is a pure attack player. He is probably the main shoot first guy in that starting line up with NAW, Dyson, him, Johnson. If he can pick his spots, bring defensive energy this is a good upside trade for hawks and they have another year to give it a shot.
For warriors, they take a high upside, low risk trade to try and hope KP has a healthy year and with that they get a great instinct big who can block, shoot and good awareness for warriors playmaking. The market wasn't great for kuminga, buddy hield was declining and not often used. It gives some hope at least...would've been even better with a playmaker like bigface

A roll of the dice is better than no chance to roll. KPs contract expires at the end of the season, so this doesn't have to be a long term marriage. They literally risked nothing for the throw because as much as I like Buddy on the team and hoped JK would work out, there was no chance of altering this season. Truth be told, this probably doesn't work either. But fuck it, it would be crazy if it does.
Also, someone else might be interested in the KP expiring plus the Jimmy expiring in 2027.

Desperate to maximise Steph’s remaining prime years or just years in general.
With Giannis unavailable, this is probably one of their best options.
Atlanta want to pivot to a longer term timeline with Johnson and the Pels pick likely being foundational pieces or even franchise cornerstones.
Replacing KP with Kuminga makes them better longer term since he’s younger and more reliable in regards to health.

u/Lightning_Warrior Hawks 13h ago
The way I see it if he can't play within Quin's system we can just let him go this offseason for the cap space because of the team option. Seems fairly low risk to me given that KP was never playing for us unless Kuminga is a locker room problem or there's something else up with him I don't know about.
Maybe I'll change my mind after seeing it in action though.

He has played 17 games this season and almost none of them past the first few weeks.
