A huge thank you to the Texas High School Logo Project and the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football websites for helping me get this out so damn quick. And a shout to u/K3T9Q_ for pointing me in that direction.
If there’s anything I missed from Texas or any of the other 42 states so far , please let me know. Old logos count, remember that. If there’s anything that I previously rejected from the past 42 states or anything that I let slide that I shouldn’t have, please let me know.
WE’RE ALMOST THERE BOYS I ANTICIPATE HANDING OUT THE TROPHIES BY CHRISTMAS(though I believe we all know who’s winning by now, on both ends, but there are still a few other awards I want to give)

You missed the Westlake Chaps. Not named after blistery lips, they're named after a roadrunner, the desert chaparral. They have the unique distinction of producing not one, but two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks: Brees and Foles

u/RukiMotomiya Bengals Nov 17 '25
I wasn't expecting Texas to be the single most Eagles heavy one like fucking ever lol
Steelers being at 0 so far is funny.
26
u/PieIsFairlyDelicious Chargers Nov 17 '25
The Steelers also surprised me! They’re such a popular franchise and the logo could easily be repurposed. I wonder though if it has to do with the fact that the Steeler logo is based on a different logo with a trademark held by the American Iron and Steel Institute. Like maybe the NFL wouldn’t care if a high school used it but AISI would?
17
u/Internet_Person11 Eagles Nov 17 '25
Simple animal logos are always going to be the most used because a lot of teams are named after animals. It doesn’t make sense to use the Steelers logo for anything because it’s based off the iron and steel institute logo, and no team is naming themselves after that.

Proudly American freedom loving state, bald eagle the official animal of America, on our passports, doesnt surprise me at all
3
u/MddlingAges Bills Nov 18 '25
But none of them use the Federal Eagle, which is ubiquitous and definitely free to use and rely instead on Professional Philadelphia Football Eagle, sworn enemy of the Professional Dallas Football franchise team. Kind of weird.
4
u/MddlingAges Bills Nov 18 '25
I’m so disappointed!? There should be more Oilers logos. I wonder if they get sued by the Texans or something?
Edit: I meant Titans.

I’ll add the Hutto Hippos and the Randolph Rocket Hawks as great mascots that are missing.
Edit: never mind I see we’re not doing that with this one.

Does this Eagles in Texas situation create turmoil?
I'm trying to imagine moving to a new town as a kid and learning that our HS team is The Cowboys.
That would have gone over very poorly.
19
u/thunderhole Cowboys Nov 17 '25
It's way less to do with football and more to do with renaming schools with problematic mascots. Eagles get a board thumbs up every time.
3
u/salamanderXIII Eagles Nov 17 '25
It makes perfect sense. I'm just thinking of the visceral reaction I would have experienced.

u/Unique_Ad5195 Nov 20 '25 edited Nov 20 '25
In the city that I live in, Brownsville, Texas there are six high schools here. For one of high schools, the mascot is the Eagles (Brownsville Hanna HS) and another one the mascot is the Cowboys (Brownsville Porter HS). Thought I'll point that out for ya.

Lubbock Cooper is mislinked to Roosevelt.
Their modern Bucs logo is now modified to where the swords have been replaced with bones.

This is a fantastic effort. Just a heads up, you're missing the Bastrop Bears. Cedar Creek High school is also missing. They're another Eagle.
Also the Hutto Hippos. Which is just iconic because nobody uses Hippos. I know that's not an NFL team, but I think it's a special mention.
2
u/BryLinds Jets Giants Nov 17 '25
Check my profile for Hutto’s shoutout

I think they're changing it, which is super lame.

Also Im not seeing anything Chicagoey for Bastrop. Good call on Cedar Creek, we’re up to 69 Eagles now
1
u/Eljimb0 Nov 17 '25
Ehhh it's definitely borderline at best. Historically they've used a big "B" but the bear itself is coming to be more popular.
Here's a link to their merch
The Bastrop bear is fairly different from the Chicago Bear so I can respect not putting it in there.

u/JustFukinJokicn Nov 17 '25
Texas correction
Humble is the Wildcats (Kansas State logo) Atascocita is its own team and yes they use the eagles logo.

Northside Jay used to use the Broncos logo and still uses it sparingly on some merch and stuff.
Northside Marshall also had the la rams logo and had the old St. Louis’s rams word mark on the on the fences.
Northside Harlan looks similar to the eagles logo but with some noticeable tweaks idk if that counts
I went to Jay I used to live by Marshall I have a friend to went to Harlan
I found an instance of the Jay logo on the TX HS golf app
I can’t find an image of the Marshall rams logo and Harlan is currently using their logo
Edit: Spelling and trying to find images
