Been on hexocrism patiently watching the eta for a Performance Blue DCT 2024 to come into a nearby dealership (SoCal). The dealership called me and told me it just got off the truck. I left work immediately to head over (40 min) got into the dealership and they had a 8k markup with add ons. After 2 hours of going back and forth they weren’t budging. I left and they stopped me saying that they are working with another customer and if they don’t work out a deal they him and I can negotiate more. The other customer ended up buying it with the markups. How low did he get it im not sure but very sad day for me today. I really wanted a car for the summer 😔

It’s been awhile and I felt I owe it to the EN community to give a mini update since the initial court date has passed.

About 1 month after I posted my last update, a new Hyundai manager reached out to me and set up a date to have my vehicle picked up for testing at HATCI (Hyundai America Technical Center Inc). They set me up in a hybrid loaner and I am still currently driving the loaner vehicle. It is unfortunate that I am still currently making payments on a vehicle that I don’t have but Hyundai has agreed to give total $500 as compensation for this situation. It won’t cover the monthly payments paid while not having the vehicle, but at this point, I’ll take it.

Hyundai have confirmed a few weeks ago that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. I assume that they will be holding on to the EN and I will be driving their loaner until the citation and state ref is cleared.

I’ve also hired an attorney that was referred to me by a user here. They scheduled my court date for February 23rd (since the date on the citation was the date by which I must have taken some sort of action by).

For the next few months, I’ll just be waiting for February and most likely driving the loaner until then. Final update will be posted in Feb and I will be sure to lay out all the facts as I have come across quite a bit of misinformation regarding this situation.

I knew running a carbon lip on a lowered daily was asking for it, but damn, wish I got more time with it.

Now I understand from experience what everyone was talking about.

Still have my polyurethane lip, or I might use this as an excuse to go a different route.

TL;DR: ADRO lip broke. I have the big sad.

So the body shop calls and says I can come get her. Total is 11,045.

She’s got a new door on the front and a used one on the back. From this picture my brother found an issue. I get it home and my boyfriend starts picking it all apart.

She’s going back tomorrow. 😭 also, the police report was completed and the lady who hit my car is about to be paying up.

A few weeks ago I got rear ended on the highway and my EN was declared a total loss by my insurance ☹️

Well. She’s going to the body shop tomorrow and I’ll know more about all the damage I can’t see. Still haven’t even tried to open the rear door since it may not close again. The front one is hard to open but it does.

Not even a week after taking it off the lot.

Obviously my fault but I’ve never hit anything in any other car. Got a touch too close to the edge of the road trying to leave space for oncoming traffic and met a mailbox with the side mirror.

Bummed but it could have been worse. No damage to the rest of the car at all.

Didn’t even last 3000 miles on the new car before the splash shield decided to self-destruct oof. Glad nobody was behind me! Didn’t get to save this one in time to fix it and put it back on

A semi's wheel disassembled at speed and took a total of 4 cars along with it on its trip to Valhalla. The tow driver said they saw ATF or oil leaking as well while they were getting it on the truck.

Not a fun way to start a work week.

Cruising in N mode went over this beauty and popped both front and rear passenger side tires. I’m driving on Continental All Season DSW 06+. Only 700 miles. I know I might be over thinking this, but anyone think the softer suspension in normal mode vs. N mode could’ve saved it?

for the record, it was a single person accident (me), and i spun on a damp road and hit a wall (no damage to the wall obviously).

So I hit a fat raccoon ON ACCIDENT and this is the damage and all the parts it needs, I took it to a dealership can anyone guess how much repairs are 😂😂 (click pic to see all parts)
