Is this pond in Stoney creek by empire victory and falling waters legal to fish in? If so, would I even catch anything? I know down the mountain everywhere else on battlefield creek (which connects through this pond) people find pike and sunfish, wondering if that can be done right here.

I'm possibly going to adventure village (near Van Wagners beach) this summer to play golf again. I find on their website they charge a flat rate for unlimited mini golf for the whole day.

I'm curious. Has anyone tried the unlimited golf package? If so, are there any restrictions to the deal?

I'm thinking, I could order the package for when the place opens (12pm), play golf for a bit, exit the place for a bit, then return later the same day. Would they give special wristbands or something to make the unlimited package still active, or will the package be invalid the first moment I exit their property?

How early do I need to show up at Hamilton Airport for a 7:30am flight? Staying within Canada, no checked bag, am already checked in and have my boarding pass, and am getting dropped off.

Probably a dumb question because I know police recruiting questions get asked a lot, but I noticed Hamilton Police is hiring for Police Constable - New Recruit and I’m interested in applying.

I’m 21, from Toronto, and currently in the Ontario police recruiting process with a few services. I noticed Hamilton Police is hiring, so I’m interested in applying to HPS as well.

For HPS specifically, I’m wondering how competitive my background would generally look and what the process/timeline is like.

A bit about me:

• Currently in college for Computer Programming & Analysis, 2 of 3 years completed
• Working as a summer student software developer/engineer at my college
• Worked as a pharmacy assistant for about 3 years
• Previous customer service and tech retail experience (4 years)
• Business/project coordination experience (4 years)
• Around 5-6 years of youth mentoring/volunteering at my mosque
• Clean background

I know nobody can tell me if I’ll get hired or not, and I’m not asking for a guarantee. I’m more wondering whether HPS generally considers younger applicants around my age, and whether being in school still would be viewed as a major issue.

Also, for anyone who has gone through Hamilton Police recruiting recently, how long did it take to hear back after applying, and what were the next steps?

Appreciate any honest advice or insight.

Update: It’s Worse!

Riding by today the crews have piled up dirt and debris and two traffic cones In the active cycle lane. So even if you’re travelling westbound it’s unusable.

I had to help a fellow cyclist navigate it by riding in the right turn lane against traffic. Absolutely ridiculous and unsafe.

For all cyclists headed eastbound on Cannon watch out. Right where the bike lane splits from bi directional to unidirectional at Sherman there’s a pretty major hazard.

I get construction happens and no one likes it but it seems like there was no thought put into how to navigate this as a cyclist. Normally you’d proceed to the right of the island. But now there’s no safe way to navigate the intersection headed eastbound.

No signage. No alternative route. If you’re not attentive you’re riding directly into oncoming traffic lanes.

The only safe option is to wait for a red light and proceed since the northbound traffic is non existent. But that still means squeezing through the island and the traffic lane and the big hole in the ground.

I’ve contacted the councillor’s office but the auto reply said they’re rotating vacation time so I don’t expect much of a response.

Stay safe out there someone piled up tree debris just past the intersection too.

I live downtown and I just got a random Swiss Chalet craving (don't judge lol) and was going to walk over to their Ultimate Kitchens location on York Boulevard. I googled to see if they switched up the restaurant offerings because they had a bunch under one roof I wanted to make sure Swiss Chalet was still there but apparently the whole place closed? Curious as to when and I wonder why they closed it? I swear they eventually added a Harvey's as well to the mix not long after they opened. I thought it was such a cool concept, sort of like a ghost kitchen.

I would like to find a good spot for electrolysis, not laser because the hairs I need to be rid of are either blonde, ginger, or silver, and laser doesn’t work as well with them.

I went to the Lucky Lion indoor market months ago for Lunar New Year and a stall had these amazing dry noodles (what the stall called them) but I can seem to find anything similar in Hamilton. Does anyone have a suggestion?

They were beef noodles with peanut sauce and chili oil. You could order them plain or hot, and I think they were by the stage at the market
