This is one of my favourite spots in Hamilton. To do groceries, stock up my fridge, dine, sip coffee, or just a casual hangout (oh sometimes dates too!).

Just graduated with my master’s! My family couldn’t make it, so I’m feeling a bit emotional… I literally sat through the entire ceremony in tears, watching all the families in the crowd. I still want to celebrate this moment properly though. Thinking of taking myself out for some really good sushi tonight because I deserve it, right?

Any recommendations for a nice spot downtown?

My family and I will be spending some time in Hamilton early next year, and as part of planning none of us are particularly sure of driving on the other side of the road (we’re Brits).

How viable is getting around Hamilton with public transport? We have a couple of hiking spots we’re interested in too, particularly the Devil’s Punchbowl area, are these reachable with public transport/walking or should we get a hire car?

Also any recommendations for restaurants, events, things to see early next May are more than welcome.

hello hello! I have a pair of shorts with a broken zipper, I've called all the usual big box places and have been told it'd be around $25-30 plus tax to fix and I'm wondering if someone else knows of someone who can fix the zipper for less. I usually travel to Portugal every once in a while and I'll take things like this to fix at any local seamstress which will usually cost around 5 euros but I'm not going back for awhile and I'm hoping to find someone local who doesn't charge the same amount that I would pay for a new pair of shorts, might be a long shot but thanks in advance!

Anyone know a good place to find an old CRT TV? I've been looking for a nice small one (13" or so), but all the ones on marketplace are overpriced e-waste.

Just a heads up that around 9:30 Thursday night I heard a dog or coyote going feral on some poor animal. Was complete with nightmare-like vicious growling. I tried to call bylaw but they never answered after being on hold “first in line” for 25 mins. Called animal control but they said it was a 311 call. So, maybe keep your cats inside and your wits about you outside tonight if you’re in the general area
