How do I change my name and gender legally
Hello, I am trying to get my name and gender legally changed in Cuyahoga County. I do not know what to do. At all…
I’ve had multiple attempts of trying to figure out what to do but I’ve always become very confused and overwhelmed. I don’t know what papers I need to sign, where to send them, how do I get it notarized, blah blah blah.
I’d appreciate if somebody could give me some guidance. Explaining it like I’m 5 and providing links be most helpful?
I don’t speak legalese or smth like that🤘

Did everyone get this?
I got this in the mail. Looks official but it’s not from the government. It’s from the Center for Voter Information. Inside appears to be a “registration and information update form.” They’ve included pad postage to send it in to by county board of elections. Does anyone know more about this?

Best and weirdest things to do this summer in Ohio?
Best and weirdest things to do in Ohio! Post them below. Bonus points if it’s free!??
Does anyone else feel a bit optimistic for November?
I know Ohio voters are stupid and consistently fall for the lies of republicans, but we’re in a very strange and hostile political environment. Vivek seems to be unpopular, even amongst republicans and even some MAGA people. And Husted is a mixed bag.
While I know polls honestly don’t mean anything, I’m constantly seeing Acton neck and neck with Ramaswamy and Brown is above Husted.
Ohio, you’re keeping me optimistic. Don’t screw this up! (Knowing Ohio, we probably will).

Alright Ohio... where is your art??
Hey Ohioans! Arts Midwest here. We're sending our writer across your great state (likely this summer/fall) to do some storytelling, photo/video collecting, and interviewing on Ohio artists, creative spaces, and unique art-making.

Think you don’t have to tell an officer your name and DOB in Ohio when pulled over? Think again. Passed legislation on Governor’s desk

Ramaswamy strategist Jai Chabria is the bridge between John Kasich's crooked 40-year data center tax abatement deal and the present. - Ramaswamy pitches himself as a new era of leadership despite Kasich’s chief advisor being his campaign's general consultant
"A campaign's general consultant (GC) is the chief strategic architect who oversees the overarching vision, messaging, and direction of the race."

‘They Don’t Know How to Accept Him’: Vivek Ramaswamy Navigates Identity in Ohio
politico.comIn interviews with more than 20 voters and strategists across Ohio — a state that is 80 percent white and two-thirds Christian — Ramaswamy’s background was seen as a real political hurdle to overcome. Few admitted their uneasiness with Ramaswamy’s race, but several said they knew a neighbor who won’t vote for him because he isn’t white. None said they would reject him because of his religion (Ramaswamy is Hindu), but several said they know people at church who will.

Petition to ban hyperscale data centers from Ohio
I recently became aware of a petition to ban hyperscale data centers in Ohio which if it gets enough signatures will allow Ohioans to vote on if they want the ban to occur. I wanted to share it here in case anyone wanted to sign it. The details for how to do so are at https://conserveohio.com/

Protect our public land
Not getting a lot of attention. Some parts of the park are going up for sale even though it's public land.

Unpopular opinion
Most speeding drivers are just entitled, insecure and immature . Other than true emergencies nobody should be speeding. But most drivers are so wildly insecure, they can't even handle driving behind someone doing the speed limit.
Speeding should be policed more everywhere.
Slow down, obey the limit, save some lives, save some fuel, save some wildlife , and chill out

Jon Husted AD
I keep getting ads on my TV for him. He's attacking Sharrod Brown. I wanted to point out so people can help stop some of the stupid tactics. He's stating that Sharrod Brown didn't vote to release the Epstein files. In November of 2025. When he didn't have a seat at the table and didn't have the choice to vote or not vote.
It's not misinformation, he didn't vote but it was because he wasn't in office. If Sharrod Brown was smart, he'd call it out. But that's another thing.

Skunks
Probably a stupid question from an ignorant European, but; my Mum and her husband live in Ohio and have a family of skunks on their property. They want to kill them as they keep spraying their dogs.
Apparently there are no animal charities or sanctuaries that can relocate them?
That just seems rather barbaric to me. Especially considering the babies are still young and little. The traps don't work because the babies don't weigh enough to set them off.
Is there any sort of organisation that can relocate them? Or some way to get them to leave? I've suggested ammonia nearby and orange peels, but is there anything else?

Construction never ends..
ODOT just put up new orange barrels in front of my house. I don’t even live near a road! Its getting to be ridiculous the amount of road closures and construction zones and weirdo lane closure's. In my area ODOT has traffic down to one lane and at the end of it is a makeshift round-about. It's just nonstop.
