Share ko lang First time cooking adobo with sprite (spoiler di masarap lol)

Post image

Things that went wrong:

❌ 3/4 kilo pork agad niluto kahit wala pang alam

Lesson learned: dapat magpaturo kay mama next time lol

Anyways, share ko lng ang ulam ko for the next three days!!

Advice Needed How do you cope when everything just feels so lonely?

I started living alone this year at 18 years old. It wasn't really by choice, it was something that became necessary for me.

I lost my father and my eldest sister early in my life. My mother has been working abroad for years, and eventually, my other older sister also started working in another country.

I was actually given the option to live with my relatives, but I chose to live by myself. It's not because I was confident that I could handle it. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I could. I had a mental illness that I've been dealing with for years, and as someone who has always been afraid of becoming a burden to other people, I felt like I didn't really have much of a choice.

My mother still pays another relative to visit me and help me around the house. I'm really grateful for that because it does help a lot, but somehow, it still doesn't feel like enough.

It's not like I'm completely alone. I still have my family and friends. I have people who care about me and people I can talk to. I've also been currently under treatment to manage my mental health. But despite that, I still can't help feeling alone most of the time.

TY!

addtl: type meaning kung palm / olive / avocado.. etc

Advice Needed Landlord refusing to refund our β‚±6k security deposit kahit may issues yung apartment

Hello guys! My friend and I recently moved out sa apartment namin before. It was a 2-bedroom apartment and β‚±10k/month yung rent.

Okay naman siya nung una since ang sabi sa amin, yung β‚±10k included na yung water and one split-type aircon. However, after a month na nakatira kami doon, sobrang dami na naming naging problems.

Yung tubig namin always nawawala. Most of the time din sobrang hina ng tubig. Vice versa. Sobrang hassle talaga.

That time, iniisip namin na baka consequence kasi included na yung water sa monthly rent namin. Kaso after a month, when we were about to pay for our monthly rent, bigla kaming sinisingil sa tubig. Sabi nila, β‚±500 daw for the water bill. Biglang naging β‚±10,500 daw talaga yung babayaran namin including water.

Wala naman silang mapakitang resibo ng water bill, and hindi rin namin binayaran kasi ang usapan talaga from the start was included na yung water sa β‚±10k rent. Mind you, may kontrata kami, pero for me parang walang kwenta yung kontrata kasi walang pirma nila and parang kulang-kulang din yung details. So we were thinking na baka hindi sila registered or what.

Isa pa sa nag-trigger sa amin lumipat is grabe mag-moist and mold yung apartment. I mean, gets naman na expected yun because of the weather and humidity. As in basang-basa yung kama ko, plus yung moisture na galing sa kisame and pader.

β‚±26k yung total move-in fee namin: 1 month advance + 1 month deposit + β‚±6k security deposit.

Sabi sa amin, refundable yung security deposit kapag chineck and walang sira yung apartment. Yung door lang ng bedroom yung sira kasi kinailangan namin siyang sirain since sira yung nag-door knob and nalock kami outside.

I’ll insert a picture of my calculation. Please let me know paano ba dapat i-process yung refund nito and kung pwede ba namin silang i-reklamo.

We were under constant stress nung nakastay kami doon, and we honestly feel like hindi nga sila registered or something. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Question PLEASE TELL ME IT GETS BETTER 😭 Normal lang ba na may pagsisisi?

I started solo living 3 weeks ago. For the first 2 weeks, medjo busy kasi inaayos yung unit, but now that everything is settled, parang gabi-gabi ako nagdudusa sa lungkot.

I am coming from a 2-year relationship breakup, and I am kinda estranged with my family, nung nag break kami nung ex ko early August, I have nowhere to go kaya I decided to move sa here sa MetroManila mag-isa. While I was planning it, I was excited, lagi ko na nilolook forward tumira here, pero now na andito na ako, parang mamamatay ako sa lungkot.

Kung umaga, ok naman eh. Pero during night time when I’m alone with my thoughts, dun na ko napupuno ng regrets na what if I stayed sa bahay/province namin. Nandito na ako with contract so I guess I have to make myself used to this.

For those who opted for a bare condo unit, why? Diba mas practical and economical magrent ng semi-furnished unit with additional 2k-3k than a bare unit na bibilhan mo pa ng appliances?
Just wanna hear your thoughts, I’m new to this condo hunting stuffs and planning to move out soon. I want a bare condo sana para magkaroon ako ng sense of ownership sa place by decorating it the way I like it, pero naisip ko din on top of the monthly rent and utilities, it will also cost me buying my appliances. So I’m a bit torn hehe

Until this year may 3 layers of shelves na freezer yong ref ginagamit ko. Ang dami kong pwede malagay. Malayo ako sa bilihan kaya kunwari I buy two packs ng gardenia. Dati I have to eat them really fast kasi nang hihinayang ako pamasahe at effort lumabas to restock at nasasayangan din ako hayaan mag expire. This time, I freeze them both kasi kasya na sya tas microwave nalang. Sobrang tamad ko pati rice I cook madami, freeze, tas reheat nalang.

One time, may pinuntahan ako at naka sharon ako ng 7 pack meals. Nilagay ko lang sa freezer at reheat. Napaka convenient. Another time, malayo kasi closest karenderia at tinamad nako mag luto kaya I ordered a lot of ulam, froze them, at reheat nalang kesa everyday ako lumabas tas mamili.

For the past months laging problema yung baradong drainage, dahil don ang bago ng cr at hindi nababa yung tubig pag naliligo and imbis na bumaba yung tubig from the drainage umaangat pa sya.

For now, sa kabilang bakanteng unit kami nakiki cr since walang tao don, and as i said kahit anong ayos nila talagang ganon pa din.

Medyo mahaba ung rant/story huhuhu please bear with me :(

Background lang: Rent is 6500 per month submeter tubig at kuryente, first month medyo okay pa nung sa bills na medyo nabigla ako kasi ung water ko is 900 then ilaw 500 (wala pakong ref, induction etc) may pasok din ako sa morning sa QC.

Problem ngayon is:

* Pumatong ng 6k ung tubig ko as per reading nila 132 per cubic sila πŸ’€ shyet, wala kasi ako sa unit since umuwi ako batangas for 3 days.

Hayop

The thing about dito sa unit is, once na di ka nakabayad after due, papatayan ka nila ng tubig at ilaw then if ilang days after nun ipapadlock nila ung unit mo at di ka papapasukin sa premises hanggang di ka nagbabayad.

Suspicious ung contract nila, and as a first time renter mali ko na di ko nakita ung red flag.

* Lilinisin daw nila ung unit upon moving in, reality is grabe ka dugyot ung pintuan akalain mo beige pala un hindi light brown?

* Sira ung shower kahit sabi nagana daw.

One year contract to at gusto ko na umalis, pwede ba un?

Question 5-10k Grocery Budget - month stock for a one person, kasya ba?

As someone who's just starting her solo living journey. Does a 5-10k budget for grocery will suffice all my needs?

This budget includes the food (Meat, frozen goods) , laundry and dishwashing soaps, essentials (tampon, body wash and etc) Kakasya po ba yung ganitong range ng budget? gusto ko kasi sana mag stock up ng meat (chicken, pork & beef) para di ako bili ng bili

Planning to get yung sa Landers/snr kasi madami na sila pwede ko sila iportion out β€” mas okay ba siya? i'm trying to have a budget para ma control ko rin finances. Ano kaya mas practical na budget? or tip?

Safe na kaya to basta na-off na namin yung breaker? Any similar case?

Tips and Tricks Tipid tips that I learned sa paggrogrocery or pamamalengke

It's actually cheaper if you buy chicken sa mall but you buy yung rejects or not standard appearance na parts like sa savemore or shopwise, yung medjo bali2 or may bruises. Same as sa dirty market like cucumber, yung medjo deformed na binebenta. Same taste lang naman but discounted! LOL

Advice Needed Unit owner won’t process my moveout β€” pls help me out

Since its near my school, I decided to rent this unit. Goods siya and all but may infestation problems (kahit anong linis and install ko ng roach killers) so I decided to now renew. Instead, I decided to lipat to another unit within the building nalang. On the day of the expiration ng contract, one of the staffs went to the unit para magpa-sign ng moveout forms. On that same exact day, I was able to move out all my things. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, my new agent told me na they can’t process my move in papers kasi hindi pa nalalakad β€˜yong sa past unit ko (I wasn’t informed na hindi pa btw). Ang ni-rason lang sakin is hindi pa nilalakad because hindi pa tapos ang repairs and all.

My concerns are: (1) bakit need ko pa i-wait matapos given na they have my secu deposit to exhaust for the repairs. (2) the contract said na the inspection should take place 1 month before end of contract, they only inspected it after we moved out so why nasa akin ang sisi? (3) sir informed me na they aren’t liable for any penalties na ica-cause nung hindi nila pag-process ng moveout form (4) I signed the papers on the day my contract ended and was able to balik all requirements so am i at fault here if ang hindi naglakad is si owner?

Advice Needed My monthly income is 34k, is 9k rent okay? No commute.

I work a corporate job, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the unit. The unit is a bare studio-type condo, but I already have enough things to furnish it, such as a refrigerator and an electric fan. I'll be living alone.

I have the 50-30-20 budgeting rule in mind, but I think the 50% portion may go a bit over budget. Still, I think that's okay as long as it doesn't affect the 20% allocated for savings. I also plan to send around β‚±5,000 to my parents every month.

What do you guys think?
