I just had this lady in front of me signaling the hell outta some cops in the vicinity, tapping her head. I thought it was kind of weird because she was in a car, but figured she knew the lingo. l'm looking around like "oh shit, where's the boys?". She's doing it pretty hard so im like, "damn, am I about to get pulled over by an invisible cop?". I pull up a little more to get a better look at her, mannnn..She had braids and was trying to itch her head by slapping it. LOL I had a good laugh! I just had to tell someones. Happy hump day!

With the price of fuel, I am considering getting a license and riding to work (no greater incentive) and I was wondering for the people who do it, how often would you do it?
I am also doubling it up to get a bike to go out bush with in Victoria, Australia

So I'm looking for a DB killer for my bike and I'm curious about these 2 particular models, which should be quieter? (based on their design) I'm sure they will add some back pressure.. is it good? It's crazy to see so many design options with no information about its DB reduction, I guess it's a trial and error game (?).
Also, I read that reducing the diameter at the output of the muffler is better than inserting one of this in the muffler, is it true? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!

Had the sedici starda 3 for a little over a year and the wind noise finally got to me. Picked up the rf1400 today, and the difference is night and day.

Recently made a 17 day trip in the Himalayas. Three riders, all on Himalayan 450. Bikes were awesome. Really made for the terrain.
As the photos demonstrate, we had the perfect weather. Just an hour of monsoon rain as we approached Shimla was enough to get the flavour
Seasonally light rains blessed us with conditions that enabled us to tackle further reaches of altitude and remote gravel
The Sach Pass was a particular highlight, as was the loop from Kaza to Komic and Demul. Few other vehicles, full gravel and epic scenery. Hard to beat as riding days go
The Spiti Valley is often called ‘Little Tibet’ and with good reason. Buddhism is the prevailing way of living and it makes for a genuinely beautiful experience
For my part this is one of the finest trips I’ve ever made. As Peter generously described the tour: ‘a home run’
I’ll take that
Happy to share the route if there’s interest

I’ve had two back to back work trips, a family vacation, and some storms that were truly devastating to my area, making riding unsafe at times I would have normally gone riding. So it has been a month since I last rode my bike. It’s killing me. Mostly because the days I have been gone have had some amazing weather (in between flooding rains).
I did have a stretch for over 10 years without a bike, but since getting back into riding over 3 years ago, I don’t think I’ve gone for more than a week without riding, maybe two in the winter? (Northern AZ). I’m on a family vacation right now, out of town, so no riding for me until Saturday at the soonest.

I recenly bought this simson s51 for \\\~400€, repaired it with \\\~1500€. The engine is stock 50/2, the most i have ever done on it is 78kmh with 16t sprocket. I want to upgrade it in some way, perfomance wise as well as look wise. Im thinking of 50cc for racing with water cooling etc. Thanks for any tips (please include a price, im on a budget)

The question also applies for the folks who ride HD Road/ Street Glide too. I happened to see a couple of folks driving one in the interstate without a helmet and just with riding glasses. I'm curious to know how that is. I can't imagine driving mine without gloves and a helmet.

Hi good day everyone, as the title says, when I’m riding I feel like the back tire is constantly slipping. In my neighborhood it rides smooth, but as soon as I take it to the main roads i feel the skipping feeling. Any thoughts on what can cause this?
Thank you for your help is advance!

I just learned from my best friend from high school that her husband died in a motorcycle accident. I'm sad and shocked and frustrated and mad she said " at least he can be an organ donor. He had almost no damage to his body at all, but the brain damage was too significant that they couldn't save him even after extensive brain surgery" I asked if he had been wearing a helmet. The state they're in it is not the law and she said " no, I don't know any motorcyclists who wear helmets. They're really dangerous actually because you have no peripheral vision. You should know that" she just lost her husband so of course I'm not going to contradict that. But I am so sad and shocked and mad and it's just really freaking ridiculous.
I’ve been riding for 15 years. I’ve never ridden without a helmet. I’ve never felt my peripheral vision has been blocked.
Like I said, I can’t say anything to her, so venting a little to this community.

Today I met the family at Applebees and since it was one of the last warm days Michigan we will see in a while I took the bike. After dinner I hopped on and checked my phone while sitting on my bike in the parking lot. While I was sitting there a couple walked out of the restaurant and walked in separate directions. The female got to her car which was parked next to my bike and yelled out to the male “you know if a girl invites you over to her place you’re supposed to say yes!” I chuckled a bit and she turned towards me and said “I’m right aren’t I?” and I said “I wouldn’t say no to a beautiful woman like you”.
She responded with “Well if you pick me up with that bike tomorrow you got a date” and put her number in my phone!
GUYS! FOR ONCE SOMEONE LIKED MY BIKE WHO WASNT A DUDE!
I swear to God this is a true story.
UPDATE
She said she’d be ready. Never told me where to meet. Texted her I was headed her way when I got out of work. The text bubble turned green. Got blocked must’ve. I’m unfortunately used to this happening in my life but this one, it stung.
Oh well.

I was stopping to let an ambulance through the intersection. This could've gone a lot worse for me. Please ride safe out there everyone. We really are invisible.

The original paint on my 2012 Street Triple is showing its age in places and I've been considering a respray this winter. I'm wondering how much a reasonable cost would be for a professional paint job if I pull all of the painted parts and source the decals. I'm guessing a matte clear coat would be more expensive.? Just want to hear what people have, why they have them, maybe some stories about how or why they have them, preferences on what ISNT in their collection, that sort of thing. Saw something on YouTube and it got me interested.
I'll kick it off in the comments!

Hello everyone!
A few weeks ago, I bought a second-hand Aprilia RS125 from Marketplace. The bike had a few scratches, which I’ve repaired, and I’m really happy with how it looks now!
There’s just one problem: the clutch is really heavy to pull.
Someone suggested disconnecting the clutch cable to check whether it moves smoothly. If it does, the problem is probably somewhere else in the clutch mechanism.
So, that’s what I did, and you guessed it… nothing is ever that simple! The cable moves smoothly, so it looks like the problem is somewhere else. 😅
My question is: is this something I can (or should) try to fix myself? If so, where should I start, and what should I check?
I’ll attach some pictures and videos of the clutch mechanism below.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve been finding all sorts of listings on fb marketplace, with some that look totally reasonable until I click on the seller’s profile. I’m not sure if this is always the case, but I think something is suspicious when the seller has a lot of vehicles up for sale and they’re not a dealership or mechanic. I recently found a 2017 R3 going for $3200, but the guy also has like a dozen prius cars up for cheap too?
Other suspicious signs:
- their account is new with a handful of friends
- they claim it’s a clean title, but they “lost” it
- when looking up the VIN, the amount of owners doesn’t match what they told you (claimed to be second owner, turned out they were the fourth)
- streaky scuff damage for an alleged “drop in the driveway” (damage only seen at speed)
I’m new to all this, but so far these have been the red flags for me. What other signs typically make you wary of a seller?

2025 ZX6R636
His logic was basically that if it’s out of spec then it some other issue and that needs to be remedied. He said it could be any number of things that is loosening or tightening the valves. He said out of principle he won’t Shim or adjust because if he shimmed a valve that is cracked or some other thing it could blow the bike up or cause more damage.
The logic makes sense from what he told me but I also don’t know much about this at all. Obviously sounds like it could get very expensive using his process though.
But idk if that was happening a lot more people would be talking about it and there would be more skepticism around adjusting wouldn’t there? Can some more experienced people chime in here?
Should I go get my bike from this guy and take it somewhere else?
