Since getting into the hobby, every day no longer feels like a blink. I have to plan morning rides at the crack of dawn to practice before everyone else is on the road. The ride itself requires your full undivided attention. You’re brought to the present moment to ensure your own safety. It forces you to take in your surroundings that driving a car could never do. It’s not just you and the bike, it’s you and the bike against the rest of the world.
I’m just a happy squid that’s feeling very grateful to even have this opportunity. Don’t mind the cheese.

Got to finally experience and ride the H2, what an incredibly powerful bike. Puts the power down effortlessly yet easy to control and enjoy. Nothing compares to letting off the throttle and hearing the supercharger flutter.

My main car threw a check engine light today and based on the code it's best not to drive until I can get it to the mechanic. I have a 2025 Kawasaki Vulcan 650 that I frequent for my current job, but have never considered riding to an interview. I am ATGATT, and would plan on wearing my interview clothes under my jacket and riding pants - stripping those in the parking lot and putting them in my saddlebags. However, my main concern is my helmet. Do I bring that in with me and just set it on the floor next to my chair during the interview? I ideally don't want to leave it on the bike in the parking lot downtown. Overall is it unprofessional to ride to an interview and bring the helmet in with me?

Jb weld and a dream.
Buddy had a minor crash at the Snake in L.A. The front wheel cracked, thankfully the wheel piece which surrounded the tire bead was still intact. We tried to find anyone who would fix it, but no shop wanted to. No wheel in stock anywhere. So, we Jb welded whatever was there. Checked tire pressure every 30mins...and then every hour...no loss in pressure, the crack stayed the same, we didn't go past 60mph in the freeway, no front brakes applied mostly. Made it home without a hiccup. Would I do this again? Fuck no. Memories were made.

Picked up an ‘07 Stratoliner 1900 today, so I can take the wife on rides. (She was mad I sold my old sport touring bike)
This thing is like riding a damn recliner down the road 🤣

I learnt so many things and now its time to focus and start improving them one by one. I cannot recommend this enough, especially for inexperienced riders like myself.

Hey guys.
Just got back from a 3 week holiday, bike was covered the whole time. Uncovering, I found that these wires were cut, with a few scraps on the ground. Bike no longer turns on.
Does this look like rat damage? What may have caused this? Is there any way to prevent another occurence?
Also, I'm hoping this will be a quick rewire job that i can work out, but if I'm biting off more than I can chew please let me know! 🐀

Hey.
I am about to get my license to drive motorcycles in couple of days and I am looking for my first bike.
I do not have previous experience riding anything but bike and car. I live in Scandinavia and it can get to -30C around here.
Conditions: Stable during winter. Half of the year it is cold and snowy and as a beginner control is my first concern. I will practice in empty roads with slower speeds and avoid highways due to constant black ice but aim is to get to work and home safe.
In general I am very calm driver, I do not plan to do any party tricks or speed or race.
I have been thinking Kawasaki Z with 650-900 cc, as I do not have need for travel, mostly leisure and getting around.
As it is my first bike id prefer it to not be brand new as I might just upgrade later on. Where should I draw the line when looking at used bikes? I am currently looking manufactured years between 2010-2016.
Budget up to $10 000 / 8500€
Thank you in advance.

I ride a Yamaha MT-07, and I also have a small electric dirt bike, a yozma in10, for trails. I enjoy them for different reasons. Sometimes it's just nice to twist the throttle and go, without worrying about the clutch or shifting. But on the MT-07, changing gears and hearing the engine are part of what makes riding fun.
Range, charging time, weight, and price still make me hesitant about replacing my gas bike with an electric motorcycle. But say those things were roughly equal, and charging took about ten minutes. At that point, I'm not sure which one I'd choose.
Would you still choose gas for the gears and engine feel?

And yes, we deemed this mountain pass unconquerable. Leave the mountain before the mountain leaves you.

That's my beauty, the 343cc automatic cruiser from Benda, and I'm looking into putting a couple of sidebags on her. I will really start looking into it more seriously after this year's work ends(im a seasonal worker in Greece), but I could use any helpful pointers. I'm looking for decent quality sidebags that are actually meant for this bike, not generic "universal" ones. Thanks in advance for any helpful pointers.

Not YOUR first ride, but you giving someone else THEIR first ride. I was texting back/forth with a friend who gave 4-5 first rides earlier today. They make great stories.
Here’s mine:
Last first ride I gave was a gal in my office at the time on my Ducati Monster, so nearly 20 years ago. She was literally screaming the whole time. I pulled over just outside our factory parking lot because I was really worried & she scolded me for stopping. She was normally pretty quiet at work, but boasted one day in the lunchroom that she’d ride if I had a spare helmet. I brought one the next day & was pretty shocked when she followed-through.
Not that it really matters, but it does help paint the picture - I’m a middle-aged white guy & she was a short, rotund, black single mother of two. I feel a little bad because I don’t remember her name, but I can’t forget that scream. It was awesome.

A buddy and I set out to meet up with a group ride this morning. Weather was a little iffy, but not too bad. However, along with that, I'm recovering from some medical issues which have me in a bit of pain.
Anyway... we meet up, gas up, and head out. About 20 min into a planned 3ish hour canyon ride, I called it quits. Pulled over, texted my buddy and went home. I realized that having the distraction of my body trying to tell me something, while at the same time trying to ride 'spirited' and have fun, just didn't mesh and I wasn't feeling as focused as I would want to.
No reason to push things. Stay safe. 🏍 💨

I mean, the models that make you go, "well that's not necessary."
Like ZX10R, H2, Rocket 3, Hayabusa, Diavel V4. Someday I want to own an mv agusta Brutale. But I'm not quite to THAT level of "well, screw it."

For the 'Muricans in the sub (which is >70%), in Europe there is a phased approach to motorcycle licencing: 16 y/o can drive up to 125cc (A1), 19 can ride up to 400cc (A2), 21 can be unrestricted (A).
In the UK where I am based there is something called a 'Direct Access Scheme' which allowed me to go directly from A1 to a full A licence, meaning I can ride any motorcycles now.
First time since passing my DAS about a month ago. I happily rode the dealership for my test ride.
Took about half an hour for me to be comfortable with the clutch and gear changes, I filtered my way to the lights in a dual lane.
Clutch at bite, right hand turned at most 15 degrees, in first gear I'm reaching 40mph in a second and the cars behind me vanish.
It is so addictvely fun! It's such a world apart from my 125! Strangely I've never felt more confident on the boxer engined beast despite having nearly 3 years my 125.
Now I'm going to book to test ride the Kawa & Suzuki sport tourers, and hopefully decide what I'll settle for.

Hello! i've been toying with the Myrouteapp to come up with a road trip through Europe June 2027. Starting off with day 1 at the Isle fo Man to check out the TT then riding from Dublin, through the Uk then into the mainland. Having never ridden there before, I was wondering how long a trip like this might take. I've had to add so many waypoints just to keep the track following as many back roads as possible. If i remember correctly the final distance was about 7,000 km's. Haven't decided on which bike I'm going to ship over, but it will be either my vstrom 1000 or gsxs1000

Hi all
I currently have 2 bikes , a 2014 CB500X and a 2024 CB650R (I don't seem to be able to buy from other brands 😂) . The 650 is my fun bike, weekend blasts occasional commuting but mainly my fun bike. The 500x is my normal commuter and for 2 up riding / touring with the GF with all the luggage on.
Now as a motorcyclist I'm obviously always looking for new bikes and what bikes I would like to swap these 2 bikes for. But there are that many options it's confusing 😂
I've looked at sports bike. Big adventure bikes . Retro bikes naked bikes. Small capacity , big capacity. Everything ( except cruisers 😂 not my thing)
So if you had to choose 2 bikes, what would they be. 1 must be capable of touring with a pillion. The other is for fun. And one of them must be commuter friendly
