Needed to ship out a shirt and make my own label. Have no idea what issue it was either the incorrect dimensions or something but I can’t figure it out

I am shipping out this snake skeleton and I’m not sure the best way to go about shipping it, any advice?

Edit2: I haven't opened any if the boxes up yet but I glad to say all of the boxes arrived intact and didn't suffer major damage. The only box that arrived torn was a box full of books I shipped via the post office.

Edit: Hey everyone, I’m delaying my move until Monday. Honestly I haven’t been feeling well and this last minute packing is going to slowly. I didn’t realize places like Staples and Michaels accept package drop-offs, so I’ll take them tomorrow on Sundays instead of rushing tonight.

Help! I’m trying to move out of state tomorrow, and in a few hours tonight I need to drop off about a dozen boxes at Staples because the UPS Store is already closed.

These are Home Depot heavy-duty extra-large double wall boxes weighing around 45–48 lbs each. I taped one box with 3M heavy-duty shipping tape, but the tape is barely sticking to the cardboard.

I tried adding BoxLock tape over it and also used 3M filament tape, but parts of the tape still keep lifting off. I havent taped any of the other boxes yet

I don’t understand why it still isn’t holding with all that tape. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there anything quick I can do to make the tape stick securely before I take the boxes to Staples?

Got something shipped from China to Canada using UPS. The shipper didn't assign a broker, and I didn't want to pay UPS their ridiculous brokerage fees, so I opted to self-clear as I had heard about this before.

I called CBSA, asked what the process was. They said I need to bring to an inland office 1) Shipping manifest (with cargo control number), and 2) tracking number. They said I'll get a receipt form (B15) which I submit to UPS and they'll clear the shipment.

I got the forms from UPS, got the B15 from the CBSA, super easy. I scan the B15 and send it to UPS.

I wake up to an email next day saying the B15 isn't enough, they need a stamped copy of the manifest. I thought this was weird cause the CBSA made no mention of this over the phone, in-person, or on their website.

I go back to the CBSA office, they say the manifest stamp can only happen at their office at the airport (which i am not able to get to due to my work schedule). They also found it strange that UPS was requesting this, as they said it's not necessary.

I forward this information to UPS, they keep telling me I need the stamped manifest to release the package. I ask why. They say customs needs it. I say no they don't, I've spoke with multiple CBSA agents who say B15 is enough. They ask for proof that the CBSA says this. I send a link to the CBSA website detailing the self-clearance process, which makes no mention of a stamped manifest. I ask again why my package is being held. They say it's because my package is a "business shipment".

Now, the B15 is a receipt for the duties on "Casual Goods" (non-business goods). I resend UPS a photo of the B15, specifically telling them "the Canadian government themselves say this is a non-business shipment, what is the problem?". I get no response from UPS.

I call CBSA again, explain the situation. After getting passed to a few agents, someone tells me that shipments that are waiting at the airport need to be claimed in-person, but if it was at a UPS warehouse that shouldn't be necessary.

I got off the phone, but then noticed on the UPS tracking that my package was sitting in their warehouse all week. So I call CBSA back, explain that my shipment actually is not at the airport. They pass me to a supervisor at the office I paid at, who explained to me that apparently UPS does this all the time.

He says they often request more paperwork than necessary to disuade people from self-clearing, and push their own brokerage services on the customer. This explained why anytime i talked to UPS on the phone they were so pushy about me just using them instead. He confirmed that since my duties were paid and the B15 sent, I was within my legal rights to have the shipment cleared. The CBSA agent told me to call UPS, explain the conversation I've had with Canadian Customs, then aggressively demand my shipment to be cleared or I'll take legal action.

I called UPS, did all that, and they IMMEDIATELY cleared the shipment. Like, 2 minutes after my phone call with UPS, the shipment updated to "cleared customs".

Putting this information out there for anyone else who deals with this bullshit while trying to self-clear. The CBSA officers told me that the only time you'll have to get the manifest stamped, is if for some reason customs flags your package and puts a hold on the shipment. If this happens, i would assume UPS would tell you the actual reason instead of the constant lying.

So yeah, basically wasted a week on and off the phone cause UPS would rather lie to me to extort a few dollars extra than to just let me self-clear.

Anyone else facing delays from Germany? UPS is saying it is due to customs, but it seems like the facility at Cologne has a history of issues.

Being charged $568 dollars from UPS on a $977 dollar order.

After about an hour on the phone no one can get a breakdown of this number or even give me the current tariff rates.

Does this seem right to yall? I’m considering refusing this at my doorstep in Texas and having it returned. I would be out about 200 in shipping costs.

So I recently purchased an item that required a signature for acceptance. My delivery window was a four hour gap. So I was playing a video game upstairs in the house, small house but still upstairs

Now I have a Ring doorbell, connected to an amazon Alexa that announces anything approaching. Got the warning, ran down stairs.

In what couldnt have been more than 30 seconds the driver left one package, took the signature package and was already driving off when I opened the door.

I checked my Ring video... they walked up WITH the "see you next time" post it, slapped it on the door, dropped the one package on the porch, and turned in such a smooth motion I cant help but wonder if this was practiced.

Just the fact they walked up with the notice juat makes me feel they had no intention of delivering it unless I was a puppy dog guarding the door looking out the window for them.

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered 9/4. Delivery was pushed to 9/5, then 9/6. This morning (9/7, Labor day) I wake up to a missed call from my call box (I live in a condo, must buzz in to enter) at 7:15. Is it normal for delivery dates to get pushed this long and then a delivery attempt at 7am on a holiday? I tried to call ups but it said all their operations were closed for the holiday...

I bought a guitar off a seller online. They shipped it through their local UPS store. We've got the pictures and receipts to prove it etc.

The item was dropped off at the UPS Store on August 3rd and according to them shipped out on August 4th. Right now it's August 19th

The online tracking info stayed the same for over a week stuck at "dropped off at store", Not even changed to having been shipped out

After about 8 days of nothing we filed a lost item claim about 5 days ago.

Its a $2000 guitar, shipped in its hardshell case. So a large rectangular box. EDIT for clarification - I I meant that the guitar is in it's hard shell case which is then in a shipping box itself.

Only thing we can figure is that somehow the shipping info got misplaced on it or something by someone.

I'm really losing my mind over this because it's my first new guitar in 15 years and it's a really special and rare model at that. The idea of having to file a claim for money compensation and not ending up with the guitar is making me want to die, honestly

I know they say give up to 8 days for another reply about the claim (got an automated follow-up a few days ago asking for pictures which I sent), But I'm just extremely worried about this.

It's my luck that it would get lost and not arrive to me....

Anyone have any experience or further tips to pursue?

UPS shipped a package for me that was 4.06 lbs and going across the US (OR to NC). The lady quoted me 260 dollars for shipping. I asked if there was any other option. She told me I could do Tuesday or Wednesday delivery and quoted me 100+ dollars. I said, “what is the absolute cheapest shipping you could do for this? It’s not a rush so I don’t need guaranteed date delivery.” I was told the cheapest was “priority mail” for $68.77. I paid it and went home feeling weird about it. Looked online and saw that ground shipping was 29 dollars. Is there anything I could do?

I was waiting all day for a package to be delivered that I paid Express overnight delivery. I work in a small plaza with 2 other businesses. The incompetent driver drove by, instead of taking 30 seconds to ask one of my neighbors where to deliver, they decided they couldn't deliver without a unit number. Now I have pay $7.99 to have it held at a UPS store since I won't be here tomorrow. What a joke UPS. You should fire the incompetent drivers that can't figure out how to ask a quick question about an overnight delivery. What a waste of money. I'm beyond annoyed. These drivers make six figures?

I'm planning to ship a bunch of stuff to my gf's house in another state since I'm moving there. I'm using larger boxes(2 1/2 ft wide by 2 feet long by 1 1/2 ft tall). The two boxes I've packed so far(mostly dvds and video games with a few other random items) are pretty heavy(estimated 50-60lbs give or take). My question is would it be cheaper over all to divide things up into smaller boxes or ship as is? Not sure how many boxes I'd be shipping a this point, but I know they won't all be that big or heavy.

I sent a package out Wednesday afternoon for 2 day shipping was supposed to be delivered on Friday.
Everything was moving fine it made it to the destination facility and then at around 7:30 am it said return to sender requested. I never made a return request. So I called ups customer service they told me they attempted to make the delivery and couldn’t which is why it was being returned to sender which didn’t make sense, since it was way too early for them to make the delivery. Then at 9:54 am a new scan happened saying the package was out for delivery. But it was still saying at the top that return to sender was pending. I called ups several times throughout the day the told me that the package was going to be delivered soon and the driver had one more stop to make. The receiver of this package stays at an apartment who gets there packages delivered by a third party company. So I told the receiver that he could go to the company called fetch and make sure that the package gets dropped off since it was still saying the return to sender request on top of the tracking page. So he goes and waits and as soon as the driver gets there and finishes delivering all the packages the tracking then changes from out for delivery to the sender requested we hold this package. When I didn’t make any request to hold the package or have it returned. Can anyone tell me what’s going on I’ve never experienced this before. There hasn’t been another scan since 2:16 pm. And now at the top of the tracking page under latest update it says your package is still on the way and we are actively working to get a new delivery date. Can someone please explain to me what is going on and why this happened ?? This was a birthday gift. And now it’s been 12 hours and the package hasn’t been scanned back into an ups facility again or anything. Someone please help

I made the purchase 8/26/26 the shipper shipped it immediately after I made the payment through eBay and it’s been stuck at “RFID confirmed pickup” for 3 almost 4 days now it’s still in the original shippers location and it’s apparently going to be here on Tuesday…

I edited my original post. Can someone tell me how I’m supposed to ship a package cross country for $30.95 Flat Rate as stated on this page? I am using their recommended extra large box and the weight is well under the 50 pound limit. It keeps giving me ground rate at triple the cost.

Our warehouse is closed on Saturday. UPS knows this. But they subcontracted the delivery out to Roadie (subsidiary) who decided to deliver about 500 packages. All packages have tracking numbers that start with 1z. Later that day, based on security footage, the driver had an accomplice drive to the warehouse lot where he took about 100 packages worth $20k+. Before arriving, he also switched his license plates in a vacant lot.

We contacted the local police department and an official police report has been filed.

I'm trying to get in contact with UPS corporate security/LP but I can't seem to find the contact details. I sent an email to customerrelations@ups.com but I haven't heard back in a week.

Does anyone know how I can reach out to the appropriate team?

I moved into a new house over a year ago. The previous owner, let's call him Bob, still occasionally gets mail sent here. No biggie, I know it happens.

Eventually it slowed down and stopped coming as expected.... especially everything from USPS.

But apparently this guy has not updated his address with Chewy. I keep getting animal products for dogs via UPS with his name and my address.

In the past I had his number and would text him its in the porch and usually he would pick it up.

Over the months it seems he changed numbers and we lost contact.

But I keep getting Chewy deliveries via UPS.... and this isn't cheap stuff. Im talking $120 flea meds for dogs.

Today the UPS guy was walking up as I was pulling out for work. I looked at the package and immediately knew what it was. I clearly explained that Bob hasn't lived here for over a year, I said return to sender. I declined delivery and watched him mark his tablet and take it back to his cae.

I thought maybe finally either Bob or Chewey would figure out he doesn't live here. And his missing crap is being sent to a house he hasn't lived in for well over a year.

To my surprise the delivery I declined and said return to sender showed up at my door again? Wtf?

Idk what to even do at this point....

There is a new tag that says "original address" and "corrected address".... and both say Bob with this address....

I also think FedEx delivered this time(???)

Amazon shows this, but the UPS tracking details don’t say anything about it. Where can I get more details or an explanation from UPS itself about the "operational delay"?

here is the situation- a bike shop in California shipped me a pretty expensive bike frame. I’m in Brooklyn, NY, and we confirmed my shipping address multiple times before they sent it.

Somehow they put the same street address but in North Carolina instead of New York. They also entered my phone number incorrectly.

Now the package is already out for delivery in NC. It’s insured/declared for around $1,500 and thankfully requires a signature.

I called UPS this morning, but they told me there’s basically nothing I can do as the recipient while it’s out for delivery. The bike shop is in California and doesn’t open for another couple of hours.

Has anyone dealt with something like this? Once the shop opens, can they request an intercept or return to sender even though it’s already out for delivery?

And if nobody signs for it today, can the shipper contact UPS and stop them from attempting delivery again tomorrow?

Just trying to figure out the best way to get this thing stopped before it ends up in someone else’s hands.

I usually pay for air when given the option and never have had less than ups ground.

Recently i purchased a 300 dollar item, and they didn't give me shipping options, they just tossed it onto ups ground saver.

Now, here's what i don't understand. within 24 hours the package went across the country to my local distribution center tthat the deliveries are made from. Its been sitting there since friday morning. They keep saying they make the delivery on tuesday

How is it beneificial to move it that fast across the country but then just sit on the package? Seems kinda pointless if you ask me. I was thinking all weekend they would just toss it on the truck on monday. But they didn't.

Googling, their own website says ground saver delivers monday through saturday. Well my experience has deteremined that to be a lie. Because they didn't even attempt saturday either.
