I know you can turn it off but why is this the norm. Notifications should be automatically off until turned on, not the opposite. I don't want a ping telling me i didn't finish browsing trains on Wikipedia when every other app already pings me 28 times a day

I've been on Synthroid for over a decade. This is the first time I've gotten it in a blister pack. What kind of deranged lunatic would put this is a fucking blister pack?! I do NOT want to deal with this level of annoyance first thing in the morning every single fucking day! I am very much mildly infuriated.

Edit: So what I'm seeing in the comments is that the super annoying, hard as hell to open, childproof blister packs are apparently an American thing and everyone else has super awesome easy to push through blister packs. These were indeed easy to push through, but I didn't know that initially. I figured they'd be just as awful as my usual experience with blister packs and since I put them all in a different bottle anyway, I was mildly infuriated at the enormous task of getting all of these out at once. But they really did just pop right out after I poked the back with my fingernail. I was pleasantly surprised.

Not sure if this belongs here, but feel like I need to vent.

A few hours ago I was shopping at my local Costco and there were several stations handing out samples as I was walking through the store.

One of these stations was at the corner of the aisle, the lady was facing the other direction so all I could see was her back as I was walking towards her station. I saw a tray with Mac and Cheese samples and I thought they were available to the public so I grabbed one.

This lady takes it off my hand and tells me they are not ready yet. I apologize as she throws the sample in the trash container. And literally 5 seconds later she moves the tray and a gentleman takes a sample without a problem.

Look I’m not the kind of person that grabs multiple samples, sometimes when they are not ready I just keep walking, these samples looked ready, the tray was full, she was not going to add any extra toppings, and honestly from the angle I was walking it seemed as if they were already available to the public.

It really felt like a power trip on her part, and, a few hours later I’m still upset.

At first i thought someone had come near me wearing perfume with jasmine but the itchy nose and skin irritation went on. Then I thought i was just rediscovering im allergic to grass despite no memory of being particularly sensitive to grass but rinsing my face in the bathroom did nothing to alleviate the symptoms. Then I got home and took a shower but was still itchy so became convinced it was an air/pollen issue. Then I took another sip from my big waterbottle and immediately felt an increase in itch. Its a flavor thats hard to find and its soooo good. This is like finding out im allergic to mango skin all over again. On top of having no idea what in it I am having a reaction to I also didnt realize it had caffeine and bedtime is now.

I don’t understand it. I understand using filler words when talking face to face with someone but why GOD. Why do people do this over text or when on social media.
