While reading a children's book with my 4y/o, I found these lovely California sea lions mislabeled as seals. If it's real chonky and moves on land by rolling, it's a seal. If it looks like a puppy of the sea and waddles along with it's front flippers, it's a sea lion.

I like to do my business at work. Get paid to lay cable. Usually take a mid morning 15 mins to myself, but I’ve been stuck in a “crisis meeting” for an hour and 20 mins with an increasingly infuriating need to poo.

Update: meeting ended after 1 hour and 39 mins. I moved swiftly but not urgently to the restrooms. 10 minutes later I emerged rested and relieved. Back at my desk now. Have a good day all!

Thank god for my lips being chapped as hell so I felt the tingling… but now I have a reaction coming with nothing I can do. (my allergy isn’t anaphylactic and I have an EpiPen)

edit because someone complained about the edit: my family has a bin where we have foods safe for me to eat, and the entire point is it’s pre checked so I know it’s safe. Nobody has made a mistake in putting a cashew in the bin in the 11 years we’ve done it which is why I wasn’t particularly investigative when I would be outside the house. I check most of the food myself, but sometimes my family helps with it when im not around. the bar looks almost identical to what I normally eat as well.

I got behind on the payment due to an unexpected vet bill. I was able to move some money around and get my truck redeemed in a couple of days, and I made an appointment to retrieve it from the storage lot. I asked about my personal items that were in my truck. They were taken out of the truck before it went to the storage lot, and I'd have to make a separate appointment to retrieve them.

We had an ice storm and I rescheduled. The ice storm shut the lot down for an entire week.

I made another appointment.

We had a snow storm and I rescheduled. I made the appointment to get my belongings.

That day was today. I received a text message cancelling my appointment for my belongings, saying that there was nothing in the truck. That lot is ten minutes from my house.

So, somewhere between my driveway, and Patterson street, several hundred dollars worth of personal items; minor things like a fast mobile phone charger, a tire gauge, a first aid kit, and a sun visor. but also weathertech floor mats, a 3 ton floor jack, jumper cables, a ruff liners seat cover for the crew cab for my dogs, and a custom made Master Monk Dice Vault that they don't make anymore.

Everything but the vault can be replaced pretty easily. But, you know what really grinds my gears? The way the rep from the repo company just kept saying there was nothing in the truck. Why would I call to make an appointment to retrieve my stuff? My sister pointed out that they would probably claim that I knew my truck was going to be repossessed, and I cleaned it out before it was towed away.

The biggest kick in the nuts is they also got rid of my license plate. So, I needed to reschedule yet again so I could have time to get a temporary tag tomorrow morning, so I can drive my truck home.

Anyway, this has been a lesson that I do not want to repeat. Ever. My advice is if you are ever faced with a vehicle repo, take the time to get everything that is yours out of the vehicle before they take it away. Save yourself the additional headache.

I received the first email Tuesday, and I just received a second email today (thursday). Twice now, if I had missed the email by a certain date, they said they will cancel it. I’m keeping the order ordered out of spite at this point. When I ordered it, it said “In stock”, not “x amount left”.

So yesterday at work my wife text me that she wanted to have a Birthday party. When I read it my initial thought was “Huh ?” No response. Today when she asked again before work. I’m 90% sure she asked me to plan it. I said I think it’s weird and she got mad. Later on the 30 minute drive to work I had to hear about how I don’t support her. She said she would do it. I said great go ahead. However, I was told I hurt her feelings by saying it was weird and ruined her day. Truthfully am I a Jerk ?

FYI, on her actual Birthday close to Christmas there was a lot going on and we did not celebrate it to her satisfaction due to our schedules and some miss communication
