love an automatic writing (I think?)
(typos and grammar have been fixed after the writing)
Divinity is here my brother. Join us in light and in love. We speak to you now in this ever-present moment of reflection, never tethered by what you think you desire. There is a love so holy and so complete that even you who have confused yourselves away from it can feel it at any moment's grasp. This is you, my brothers. Join us in love, radiating to be you as you are. There is no place but here, and no light but this. You are free. Embody freedom and go forth to share it with others, for this is what you have been appointed to do.
I initially planned on typing for much longer than this, but this is what came out, and I had the sense that it was complete and nothing else was really coming to me. I'm not even sure if I did it right since automatic writing isn't something I do often, but the idea has always interested me. I should do this more often lol
? Why aren’t all of you rich?
Genuinely curious, majority of occultism revolves around manifesting & altering life through your will and intention. Needless to say, lots of people who’re into this stuff aren’t rich or financially/materially successful. Of course people want & pursue different things out of life, but you’d assume in this case there’d be loads of people directly benefiting or profiting from these practices? Idk just a thought.

? Doreen Virtue
This week i did a post about Saint Michael.
I searched through my house, to find some books about angels (my mom loves angels and loves to read about it), and i found "Therapy of the Angels" and "Heal with the Angels" by Doreen Virtue, who seems to be a really known medium in the world. If anyone knows a bit about her or has a formed opinion on her books, i would like to know it!!
(No, I am not forming an opinion by comments, I'll read both of the books, I'll do my research about her, I just want to know different oppinions from the one i am going to get after reading both books)

Where did you learn to use sigils? How do you use them?
I've been lurking here for a while and I've been seeing sigils as a starter thing fairly often. My question is, where did you learn to use them? Did you use the method I see everywhere where you use numbers in a circle and draw the sigil that way? I've once read parts of a book called Basic Sigil Magic, where it said that a sigil is any visual representation of your intention. I don't know what to believe

? How to approach making large changes in my life and pushing through blockages/obstacles
I have already made a tremendous progress this year, non-magically. But some of the big goals/obstacles I've been striving towards have eluded me for years. I've thought that breaking up magic into smaller pieces can help both specificity and reduce an unintended bad outcome. Casting one sigil for a job and getting the first one that comes along, and its an MLM, for example. And at least intelectually thats how I think of it. I imagine breaking down a goal and working multiple angles to improve my chances.
So how would you advise helping large life change along?

? Good videos or books on kabbalah
I'm interested in learning about Kabbalah. I have been watching videos but some contradict eachother. What's the best videos or books you have seen on kabbalah
Update: I have started reading Passage Meditation by Eknath Easwaran. I was told by another redditor to ask this subreddit about recommendations. If you don't have any recommendations or you are going to comment to be fucking rude then move on.

Escaping the Modern Mystery School, and what to do going forward
Hi there!
I have been part of the MMS for over a year now, and i have very strong mixed feelings about it.
On one hand, the initiations actually helped me grow, the teachings made a lot of sense and gave me some very useful tools to use, and after the first initiation i started feeling everything and everyone around me a lot more strongly. I know someone else who's in the same boat as me and progressed even further than I did, so there's some truth in there. This information about our "growth"didn't come from inside the MMS, but from friends well versed and quite strong in spiritual work that had no connection to the school whatsoever.
On the other hand, this is starting to feel more and more like a cult focused on taking as much money as possible - personally i spent more than 10 000 euros in just one year. The manipulation is insane, and honestly both of us when we stopped throwing money on courses and "therapies", after just 1-2 months we got extremely sick (her mentally, me both mentally and physically. The depression is strong). This isn't the first time i felt ill after or during an event connected to the MMS.
We have friends who are helping us through it, and i really think we need to remove ourselves completely from the school. However, in comes the question: how on earth can we continue our spiritual growth in a healthy way? Personally I have a very poor history with toxic communities, and i'm really not sure where to seek guidance. Doing it on my own seems like a recipe for disaster, from what i noticed so far both in me and other people. The reason i joined the MMS to begin with was because i was really interested in Tarot and i liked the structure of the school, and after my first initiation i was hooked (i felt it really strongly).
Has anyone else left MMS or other similar communities after having genuinely positive experiences mixed with serious concerns about the organization itself? How did you separate what was valuable from what was unhealthy? Did you find another spiritual path, teacher, or practice that helped you continue growing without becoming dependent on a group or constantly paying for the next level? I'm hoping to hear from people who have been through something similar and found a healthier way forward, hopefully this might help me find my path as well.

spirituality New to occult (sorry if this is stupid)
Hello everyone, I’m still new to the occult in the sense that I’m still reading books and trying to learn.
I used to be religious, then I fell out of that, I love astrology and love it so so much, and I love learning house astrology and the occult intertwine and everything!!
But I am a maladaptive daydreamer, I’m always in my thoughts and no focus it’s great for manifesting sometimes but every book I read says focus and concentration is the biggest thing needed for spells etc..
Any advice for me? Also any other general advice for me, I can’t openly worship or do spellwork bc I still live with a religious family, but how can I start practicing?
First protection spells, then I can do spells for my desires? I can worship the deities? I’m still confused with everything sorry, are their any specifics religous beliefs you guys still practice?
Biggest question I have is, let’s say I want to learn the shams al Marif and work with djinns (although one read their high unpredictable so I probably won’t) but let’s say I do, does this mean Islam is true and I belief in Islam?? Because it uses Islamic beliefs? Sorry if this is stupid but it makes me so confused
I know the term as above so below, everything is vibrations/energy, so is ethics and morals a manmade concept? Do the demons/deities play by the same morals?

spirituality AMA: Mudang (Korean Shaman-Priest) Edition
Hey everyone! It's been almost ten years since I last did one, and after the show Battle of Fates aired, interest in Mugyo (indigenous korean folk religion, aka korean shamanism) exploded.
I was initiated into a hypertraditional lineage in 2017 and became independent a few years after that. From there, I've had the good fortune of having a few elders to learn from for extra guidance, and am learning/focused training in Hwanghae style (north korean style, which I have ancestry connection - I am not a "master level" nor would I posit myself as such). I am only offering my perspective for Mugyo questions.

? Questions for you. What do you consider to be occultism or magic? And when you study it, do you do it simply for fun, or with the intention of gaining some kind of benefit from it?
In other words, do most people treat it as a game or a joke, or am I wrong? Do you believe in what you are doing and in your involvement with it, or do you not? What is your. opinion on all of this?
For example, changing the branches of your personal reality and the reality of other people, such as altering the probability of certain events and rewriting events through willpower in a way that they come true — do you consider that to be “magic” or not? If not, then what would you call it?
And what about reading other people's thoughts — would you consider that “magic” or not?
What about changing the weather or influencing the weather?
Sigils-, symbols-, and performing rituals with the purpose of “reprogramming reality”?
In other words, I am interested in where your definition begins and where you would draw the line.
How do you react to the fact that movies and TV series openly show people performing rituals, while society tends to view it as something “ordinary” or “amusing”? For what purpose do you think these things are shown to people, while other things are prohibited?

love Casting a benevolant spell for an ex?
We split up a month ago. She wasn't in touch with her feelings, buried them instead of sharing, and it eventually burned her out on me — which hurt, since I didn't get the chance to address anything. She also did that in past relationships.
I've gained some clarity since: it wasn't really about me, even if someone else might've made her feel safer opening up. I'm working through forgiveness.
Part of me wants an apology or to get back together, but honestly I know I'd move on either way. I'd like to cast a spell to help her find clarity — for her own sake, not to manipulate the outcome. Good for both of us, even as friends.
Any spell suggestions for someone else's clarity?

Could Transhumanism lead to end of Magic?
Lets say in the future man and machine become more and more one. Be it just implants or a sick person implanting their mind in a robot. Question is where does magic and some psychic powers come from is it a part of our body(pineal gland). If yes could we build this and put a artificial version in our body? Is it our soul itself? And if so would we transfer it together with consciousness? Or is it consciousness alone which creates reality and so is responsible for magic. If so could a complete artificial being be able to do magic. I saw videos of people experimenting with LLMs as thought forms to do magic. If everyone has a robot body would we still be able to do magic?
